I would not recommend this pharmacy location. There is always a long wait to pick up prescriptions. It does not matter whether you go through the drive through or go inside. Expect to wait for at least 30 minutes to pick up a prescription that is ready.
I went in this morning, the store wasnt busy at all. There was no one in the front to check out customers. I went to the pharmacy register and was ignored. Even after I ask for help, I was still ignored. I asked a second time a little more emphatically, and got a response. Itll be a little bit.I understand the struggle to hire good help. But, all someone had to do was say, Im sorry we will be with you shortly without me asking for help.
This is my experience with Walgreens Hueytown, ALFor over 2 years some of my prescriptions are being automatically refilled. I have tried and tried to get this straight, to no avail. Also, it doesnt matter how many times I’ve said DO NOT FILL MY PRESCRIPTIONS FOR 90 DAYS. FILLING MY PRESCRIPTIONS FOR MORE THAN 30 DAYS CAUSES MY DOCTOR TO QUESTION MY USE AND/OR ABUSE OF MY PRESCRIPTION DRUGS. Once my address was changed in the system to reflect that I live in Louisiana when I live in Alabama and always have. I have never gotten my prescriptions filled in Louisiana. My prescriptions were automatically filled without my approval and picked up at the Hueytown Alabama location, regardless of my address showing Louisiana.Twice my medication was shorted several pills. Complaining and Reporting seems to fall on deaf ears...management doesnt give a flip! Theres usually no employees at the registers. They often have the register open at the photo counter and they do not tell the customers. They could at least put up a sign. The employees always seem like theyre mad at the world. They act like theyre doing you a favor by checking you out. Theres NO pep in theyre step. Its like theyre being inconvenienced by doing theyre job.COMPETENCE IS NOT IN THEIR VOCABULARY!Why RiteAid was closed as opposed to closing Walgreens is beyond reason. RiteAid was much more efficient and the employees were a lot more pleasant than Walgreens. I NEVER HAD ONE MINUTES TROUBLE OR CONCERNS WITH RITEAID!Walgreens needs to step it up. JUST SAYN!!!
The slowest pharmacy I have ever been to... it seriously is. Ive been to several different Walgreens pharmacies over the years. Most all will greet you right away, a full line goes quickly and prescription ready in an average 20 minutes. Noooo not this one. You are lucky if your car moves once every 20 minutes. Once you do finally reach the window an hour later, it takes 10-15 minutes for anyone to greet you or come to the window. Then its another minimum wait of 3 hours to get a script that you are told will only take 90 minutes. They will never smile or act happy to be there. Im not sure if they are just understaffed or that horrible but after reading the reviews over the past year its pretty clear this pharmacy needs a change.....new employees, new manager... Going to CVS across the street usually isnt an option either and they never seem to have anything in stock. It would be really nice if corporate could actually step in and do something about this. Filling a script should not have to be such a dreadful experience that takes all day.
This is the slowest, rudest and unprofessional group of people I have ever witnessed in my life. They need new management, need to get organized. I left a prescription at 1:30 pm and was told it would be ready by 3:00 pm, so when I get there at 3:30 it wasn’t ready. I had to sit for 30 more minutes before it was ready. How long does it take to put 90 pills in a bottle. They had 6 people working back there and it takes 2 1/2 hours to fill one prescription. NO I’m sorry, thank you nothing. WHY DID Walgreens close the Rite Aid or just move the people to the Walgreens I don’t know but something needs to be done at this store. I will be calling headquarters in the morning.
All very ignorant we where there before 6 and they would not fill our prescription. Needs to be closed down
This is the worst Pharmacy in the country. They are RUDE SLOW AND DISRESPECTFUL!! They ignore customers and have bad attitudes with the customers. They could not read my wifes prescription correctly, that had all of her medicines clearly on the prescription and kept telling her that it was not on the script and she was trying to get medicine she needs for seizures. The tech said that it was not there and she was trying to get free pills. They finally after 2 hours of phone calls and going up there looked at the script again and saw it was on there and filled it after accusing my wife of drug seeking. Lucky for them I was not present at the time. If i could give them negative stars I would.
The pharmacy customer service is horrible. Another worker asked another employee to help assist two other customers and myself. The employee did not move. They have several workers in the back but no one is getting things done except for one person running both the drive thru and the front counter. That’s inconsiderate for her and customers. My prescription was sent over early this morning but was marked out of stock. I had to wait another 15 minutes along with waiting in line. Maybe if the customer service was better I wouldn’t mind waiting.

The store was extremely clean with wide aisles. I was greeted when I entered the store. I even had a sales person to offer to help me. Very nice experience..
My daughter is a type 1 diabetic. The insurance company is constantly changing what they will and wont pay for. Every time this happens Walgreens will always find a way for us to get all of her medications and for this Im forever grateful!😉
Everytime I coome here they take forever to come to the window and they are so rude in the pharmacy i will not be back I can get better service anywhere else they should have left riteaid one they were so much better wish you could give negative stars. Need to hire people who are not rude
They are sooooooo slow!!! I have no idea what has happened, but this place used to have much better Customer Service!!! Now, the Pharmacy couldnt care less about your time!
I was told I would have a 30 minute wait to get one prescription filled. It was at least hour before it was ready. I cant go there again. To long to wait when there was no one else there waiting for a prescription.
Editing to add that this store has not gotten any better. They don’t let you know if something is out of stock or not covered by insurance unless you call to ask why something hasn’t been filled. The pharmacy associates are unhelpful and rude, usually acting as if they are doing you a favor. I realize the pharmacy is very high volume, but I’m tired of being treated like an inconvenience.This store is way understaffed to deal with existing Walgreens customers, but once you add in the new customers from Rite Aid, this location is a zoo. I routinely wait 20-30 minutes in line to pick up prescriptions. These are items that are filled and just waiting on me, not items I am having filled at the time. Right now, I have been on hold for 18 minutes, waiting to speak to someone about a refill that was requested three days ago but hasnt been filled. Oh goodie - they just disconnected me, so I get to start all over. I miss Rite Aid.
I had an eye scratch that required an ER visit and a perscription for pain medicine and an antibiotic. I arrived 30 minutes before closing in agonizing pain as the hospitals numbing drops wore off. The pharmacist refused to fill my perscription, having just arrived from the emergency room, because he had two other patients to fill and filling mine would require him staying past closing. He turned away a suffering patient to make his off time when I arrived 30 minutes prior to closing. The narcissism and lack of care for patients is staggering and I will never patronize another Walgreens to the best of my ability.
I love shopping there because all of the employees and pharmacists are very courteous and nice.I am always treated like I come first. Thank you.
If I could give zero stars I would! Pharmacy has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced! And the new pharmacist treats his staff so poorly! I actually walked out after hearing the way he was speaking to one of the technicians!
Was very nice and helpful today, I finallywas able to get the last Samsung Galaxy Express 3 for $30.00, afterI had some difficulty about being able to get it Friday cause no one could find a key to the locked glass case. So then I found the same phone at Walmart for $50.00, so needless to say I guess it turned out to be a good thing in the end cause we went back to be Walgreens and it turns out that we were able to get it in the end cause someone went through all the keys trying each one till she found the right one

The pharmacy staff are snippy and rude. I’ve been going there once a week for the last 8 months since my mother became ill and it’s not just a bad day. They treat me like that all the time, not just when their busy.

I took my prescriptions in last night (Thursday, Jan 18th, 2018) the Pharmacist was so uglyĺto me. 1st of all because I was from out of town and 2nd because they were a Class 2 Narcotics. Wendy the Pharmacist ask if I had tried somewhere else to fill them, of course I had not. She could not fill them because she would have to fill out a long list of DEA regulations. Plus she had to fill the Hueytown/surrounding areas first. Needless to say she filled my prescriptions. I have never had anyone treat me the way she treated me.Ms. Wendy should not work with the public and should not talk to customers like she talked to me.) Very up set and will never go back to Walgreen Hueytownĺ.
