Great store! Very clean, tidy and staff was friendly. I ordered online and did a store pick-up. I prefer the deerbrook mall location over the woodlands. At the woodlands location there is no parking close to the entrance.

They book store is strategically at a parking entrance with a Starbucks right in there.. the books in there are mixed and placed in beautifully organized sections. You can sit right there with your coffee and enjoy your books. Coffee books heaven... Need i say more... Blink blink

I have missed Barnes & Noble a lot. Many have been closed, include the one at Westheimer@Voss in my neighborhood. Thus, it was with pleasure and emotion that I rediscovered this peaceful and testy place, paradise of knowledge after many years of absence. The smell of books and coffee remained intact.

Been coming here even before a Starbucks was put in always read the manga for free. Staff is always helpful and ready to be asked any questions you might have pertaining a book or a great recommendation for a similar title.

Nice bookstore. Freindly staffs. Was not too crowded when we went. People were wearing masks. They have good collections of books, music CDs, Movie DVD, tv series and magazine collections.

5 stars...this place had sooooo many books to choose from and all of the books that caught my eye look very interesting. I will definitely come back if I ever need another book

Coffee n pastries gotta love them always hot n fresh the servers may need to brush up on memory function though maybe take supplements they sometimes forget what u order or give u half the order so check it before u leave tried to get a coffee n there was about 9people in line hire more staff please

Its a pretty great place! Theyve got books, records, CDs, DVDs, puzzles, novelty items, and even a Starbucks. The people there are pretty friendly too- I think I got asked if I needed any help three different times. Which was cool. They also dont hound you for a Barnes and Nobles card, which is appreciated. Thanks, Alexis.The manga section always seems to be missing book one of every series, though...not a store problem, though. Also, If youre looking for horror books at the moment, the selection seems sort of small right now- about two shelves for all the authors! Stephen King took up about 50% of it. 😅Overall, very satisfied with my haul of Akira volume one, The Long Walk, and Cells at Work Baby.

This place has a smell that I love. As soon as you enter you can feel the environment and the good vibe.Books, toys, games, magazines, cds, vinyls, coffee and more.Find your favorite book or just browse to get surprised by any other book out of the great selection.There is a section for kids.They have a coffee bar and a fee tables to enjoy your reading.

Books! I love book stores and Barnes & Noble is a good place to find new and popular books. I like to go between this place and the half price book store nearby. Usually one of the two has what Im looking for or something new for me to try!

Hey all you people, Hey all you people, Hey all you people will you listen to meeeee~~~Okay, now that I have your attention lets get down to why this is a 5 star bookstore. :)Do you want to go to a bookstore with an amazing selection of literature that you literally wont know where to begin?! Do you start at the beginning and peruse the magazines? Or is that the end? Who knows?! All I know is I got lost. Not because it wasnt easy to navigate, trust me it would be very hard to get lost with all the signage letting you know exactly where youre at, at all times. I got lost throughout this wonderful place of wonderment by simply letting my curiosity carry me passed pages and shelves because I was like a dog in a park where there were squirrels everywhere! And thats just the content!Of course a bookstore, especially a big chain such as Barnes & Nobles is going to have a huge selection of anything and errrthang. But the customer service was spot on! As soon as my girlfriend and I walked in we were greeted, from behind the counter, with a Welcome to Barnes & Nobles! As our feet followed our gazes, we were met with such a friendly and inviting floor rep that was more than happy to share their love for literature. Pointing us in the right direction, informing us on niche nooks and guiding our interests to new horizons.The freedom! Dont get me started on how long we actually stayed there. Oh my Lord. I thought that they would kick us out for reading the books too long but the floor reps passed by us while we were sprawled out, books all around us and sharing books with each other that we thought were interesting. I felt like a kid at a school library with his friends and not a care in the world but the worlds I wanted to dive into. We read, perused, and ultimately made decisions to buy the books that survived our grueling survivor series.Yeah, of course the experience we had was great because we went there with positive attitudes, inviting persona and childlike wonder thats hard to come by. But if we treated every encounter through the eyes of children ANY place can become a beacon of excitement and adventure. A book store, such as this, that does its job right can only add to that great memory!I wholeheartedly recommend this specific Barnes & Nobles due to the staffs apparent and obvious love of their career, the inviting atmosphere that promotes exploration and discovery, and the mere fact that this place lets you be you! Whether that be the child inside you that loves a great story, or the business person who needs a how-to furthering their career, even the mom who needs their kids to run wild while they enjoy a coffee and a romance novel involving a long haired stud named Esteban. Spicy10 out of 10 would get lost again.

This place always makes me happy when I walk into it. They greet you immediately with a smile, offer to help of you need them to, and they are very courteous. They have all the books that I like to read.

Do not use the Coffee Cafe in Barnes and Noble! It is not a real Starbucks! They rip you off! $10.00 for an Ice Coffee at Starbucks it $4.90! Very misleading! Macy has the real Starbucks!

Although the sales person was really helpful, the books that I was in search of were out of stock/ or never in stock. More or some Nursing books need to be purchased. Kingwood College is right down the street and there are no reference materials available at this location....just sad!

I love visiting this location as it is very close to home!They have a great selection of manga and it seems I find something wonderful every time I visit. I always leave with at least one volume, or maybe even ten volumes on an excellent new release week.I also have enjoyed talking to the sweet staff members working the register lately - a lot of them are also manga/anime fans and I love discussing a series for a minute or two while checking out.

My 3 star rating is based on customer service from Melanie I.I LOVE going to Barnes & Noble I take my children (4 & 5 year olds) to buy a book often especially during this pandemic to keep their young minds stimulated. The store is great, its clean and most employees are welcoming and helpful.Melanie seemed bothered to help us and when ringing me up she didnt greet us. She didnt ask us if we had a membership or if my kids were in the kids club. When asking her questions about store hours and books again she seemed bothered. Yet when another young woman coworker came next to her to talk she was very involved in hearing when her coworker would be working and the latest work discussionsI would recommend customer service training especially when little children are excited to read and happy about their book choice. 📖 it doesnt take much to put on friendly tone/smile.

This location is a decent size, little bit of every section you might want. Has its own bathroom which is convenient. Also has a Starbucks. The are several seating areas to relax and read. The kids section is big and includes toys and games.

My friends and I always stop by Barnes and noble cafe during our visits to the mall. The cafe has a very nice and chill vibe. The staff are full of really nice people who are always in a great mood. We are often helped by Jacob and he is a super nice, very friendly, and quick at making drinks. They also have really good stuffed pretzels.

It has a wide expanse of manga as well as the greatest literature ever.

Barnes and Noble is a nice store. Great selection of books and misc other stuff. Staff is pretty friendly. No complaints on the store itself.As far as the Starbucks aka Barnes and Noble Cafe, we usually go here every time we are visiting. Sometimes twice while wandering the mall. The biggest complaint I have is for the lady with the long blonde hair. The younger staff has always been super friendly and helpful. They have cheerful attitudes and are compassionate when it comes to any allergy issues (example milk allergy). They were very caring and careful about which ones of my group could have whipped topping, which parts had possible milk etc. It was very much appreciated. Then we got the blonde lady making our stuff two different times and she was the exact opposite. Very rude, closed off attitude. You know how you can tell someone is miserable being there and they dont even try to fake being pleasant...yeah. That is exactly how Id describe her. Again, normally they are super careful and caring regarding milk allergies. This lady was downright rude about it. When I tried to stop her from adding something on mine that I had previously been told had a milk ingredient she talked to me as if I was stupid. When I politely mentioned it might have milk, she responded with a very ego-ish ok and shoved the drink onto the counter then walked off. I wasnt being rude in any way either. I try to always be respectful. While waiting for our drinks, I witnessed her making other drinks as well. Same attitude. Idk if she really cleaned out the containers very well in between either. Very half-a**ed attitude and if this is the manager, Id really recommend upper management check in. Secret shoppers when shes on the clock. It honestly tainted the location, sadly.Other than her (multiple different times), the location and staff are great. The younger staff should really be acknowledged for how compassionate they are!!

It was quiet and peaceful. A nice place to get away from people. Store was clean and employees asked if I needed help. I probably looked pretty lost as its been a long time since Ive been to a book store.

Theyre afraid to run the A/C and have a hard time keeping anyone near the register. One woman thought it was more important to arrange greeting cards than it was to remain at a register so she left one woman there by herself with a line of 8 people waiting.

I was used to the old way the sections and shelves were located, it was easy to navigate the store and faster to locate whatever it was you were looking for. Now, it seems confusing and I spent more time trying to locate what Im looking for. But its still Barnes & Noble.
