They have it all.Had a great time digging through the back issues, they price them cheap but they also dont really take care of them. You may find some hidden gems, but dont expect to find much in great condition.Worth it if you just want some cool old books for yourself.

Employees are always friendly and prompt at processing the buys.Store is well organized and has a variety of items. A HUGE variety, from Leho sets, collector pieces, comics, games, music, everything in between and of course books.This location has the most honest buyers Ive known.

Dont be shy, ask for help!This location also buys used books. Bring them in and go to the separate counter behind the register. There will be someone to help you.

Peaceful atmosphere. In my opinion they have a better selection of books than Barnes and Noble for half the price. Sometimes you can find rare books there too.

I can always spend hours in here. Some things are pretty overpriced for a used book store. Dont expect things to be half the price of anything if its anything thats like a hot new item vinyls especially. Overall I absolutely love this place. A lot of the guys were pretty rude on my most recent visit, but all of the girls were very nice and helpful.

This is the biggest or at least it sure was laid out nicer than any of the others I get to visit. They had more DVDs in their clearance then Ive ever seen. They have chairs and a little lounging area with restrooms and everything. Really nice place wish it was closer to home

We love going to Half Price Books! Everyone picks a book, and our family of 6 doesnt spend much. The staff is always nice. Weve never sold books, but my sister has and typically has a good experience. Great store!

I go here pretty regularly. They keep a lot of the books weve needed for the kids over the years. Most of them are used copies, so we get them for less than the cost of library late fees. Their best kept secret is the online reservation for store pickup. Weve used it a lot even before the pandemic. Very convenient.

They didnt have the book I wanted, doesnt matter though. Still loved the setup and the vibe. Keep it up Half Price!

I really like half price books I go in a lot of times for biblical resources. I recently got a cookbook a chia seed cook book from this location and found it to be useful. It was pretty reasonable in price. I like the layout and the style of the store. The people are generally nice when I go in and they often send out coupons. I wish they would send them out more but at least they do send them out. Yes I plan to revisit soon. Maybe you should if you get a chance. 📓😊

I must admit, I only recently discovered Half Price Books, but since then I try my best to stop by one in different areas of Houston at least once or twice a week. The section in which I shop is not very big in any of the stores that Ive visited, but, Im grateful that theres always something of value to add to my Real Estate collection, of course at a unbelievable low price. I also like the fact that whenever I call a store that Ive visited to see if a book is still there that I may have over looked, someone is always willing to go to that section and take a look for me.I have only good things to say about Half Price Books book stores.

It began as a Steak house long ago but today there are NO steaks to be found there. Covid precautions are extreme, time consuming, and unnecessary. I found the food to be unappealing and could hardly wait to get out of there. I dont intend to return any time soon. Really destroyed a lot of fond memories of long long ago. No New England Clam Chowder, no fresh baked yeast rolls, just a big let down of what I had expected to find. So sad!!

They are super nice & helpful, their store is neatly organized & clean, their clientele is also nice & u can find some great deals! I found several items from my list at good prices. I think the most expensive book I got was $12 & it’s a really big $23 book. I’m super happy with my visit & definitely recommend making the drive to Humble for your next read. :)

Genuinely inquired about pricing of item based on employee statement to a customer before me that all items are half of list price. Was given an in-depth explanation of how she couldn’t match the statement to what she said when attempting to buy an item, simply decided against the purchase and was going to be on my way since she justified not matching actions with the store “policy” and caught attitude from her, “well fine, someone will probably just buy it off the internet then.”Based on principle I decided to return what I did purchase moments before, and leave. Ugly doesn’t deserve my business. I hope the leadership does take a look into this and follow up with some corrective action training.

Friendly and helpful staff, definitely book people.I received an excellent deal on an heirloom quality family recording-type bible, and, found a 1981 printing manual on general carpentry thats as relevant to my craft today as it was when new...and it was a steal.

Great place to go and add something to your collection via book movie comic book or anything along the lines of that love going through and adding different Blu-rays to my collection also like buying the kids books rather than a candy or toy here and there

I had about 30 vhs very popular childrens movies. I called and made sure that they do buy them and they price them for $2 or $3 but they dont sell a lot and after 3 or 4 months they would donate what didnt sell. I drove there and figured I would get $0.50 for each or at least $0.25. The clerk said she had 2 other sellers before me. After waiting for 1/2 hr. They paged me to let me know what they were offering me.h

Dropped in to look for some childrens books for some grand kids birthdays and found some great deals on new books as well as a new cook book for me! The store is clean and I feel safe shopping there.

I love shopping here. I realize we are in a crazy time right now, but you still need to have more than 2 chairs for us older folks to sit down in. you have plenty of room to keep them socially distant. thanks.

Great selection of books and nicely organized, only issue we had was trying to sell books. HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT SELLING HERE. They took almost an hour to give us a price for maybe 35 books. Then gave us an extremely low ball offer for all of them, for one book that was signed by the author they gave us $.50!!! It wasn’t worth the time.

Great staff, but not a huge selection in Metaphysical. Need more how tos, Tarot and Rune kits, etc. Alot on mythological creatures and the paranormal. Not alot about each belief, or ancient text. But cool environment. Good Vibes.

I love this store. It is not just books but you can find coloring books, movies, and books for a fraction of the cost elsewhere. I am having to rebuild my movie collection and this place has been awesome at saving me money and being able to replace my favorite movies with gently used ones. My daughter could spend days here and always comes home with a bag full of books and a smile. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about all their products
