Unfortunately the worst experience I have had wanting to buy makeup. No one asks you if you need help. I had to go to the cashier and she had to call for another employee to help. She called about 3 times. I waited for 20 minutes. The person that eventually came was not very helpful and she left me half way through. They need better management. Would not recommend. I felt so uneasy I left and didnt buy anything.

Came to get an eyeliner and make up for it to stay on, I was referred to a sales professional who knew her stuff, she answered many questions I had, was very kind and patient with me. The variety of beauty products is wide but you do need guidance from pros and they provide it. There was a security guard at store, everyone wore a mask and there was a hand sanitizer station at entrance. I went to the Bella Terra location in Huntington Beach and it was a very pleasant experience. Highly recommend it.

Just to get to simple thing and she asked me if I wanted to sign up for this rewards program to get this card and asked her is it a credit card she told me know and then proceeded to signed me up and I got a screw for it and I saw that the total now I get to spend is 1000 and $500 which is a credit card and send I told her no I Didn’t want a credit card and I try to pay for my card but for some reason It’s paid with this new credit card that she gave me and then she had to give me a refund and I that point I was done and bought nothing I’m never going here again Sephora is so much better DoNt try to scam you!!!!!

It was a slow Monday afternoon and associates walked by me never greeted or asked me if I wanted help. One associates stood in the same aisle as me pretending to be busy. I finally walked over to an associate to ask for help and she awkwardly blurred outThat woman, um can, do, need any help! By now I felt horrible, like they thought I was a thief. She then asked another associate to help me. This associated helped me but then the original associate came and asked whats happening and she had to give her a run down of our interaction. I bought my stuff and made a note to never return here.

Always out of stock on almost everything on sale even at opening in the morning. Website has credit card purchase issues online. If you call to inquire about Ulta issues for purchase they direct you to the bank issuer of the card but it is NOT the bank that has issues it’s ULTA they refuse to straighten out their online purchasing issues! I’ve tried too many times for hours and days and months! I have given up and will probably shop elsewhere now like at Sephora. Ulta has too many company issues that they need to resolve before I ever go back. I love the points and being a diamond member but the many problems make it so very unattractive and too stressful. *Note to corporate- Fix your credit card issues it is within your system not the bank issuer! Carry more products for your sales and gift with purchase because employees get them first and Consumer’s are not their priority.

I never buy my make up at Ulta...But I received a couple gift cards for Xmas and decided to give it a try..After being asked if I needed help 4 times,..and almost running into the security guard..with him asking me also more then once if I needed help. I FELT PRESSURED TO HURRY UP N BUY. Feeling like I was being followed around..I decided to just use one of my gift cards..and GET OUT...I will never shop at this location again...HORRIBLE experience....The cashier was the only nice person.

Now I understand why this location has 3.4 stars. I was looking for a particular palette for my nieces birthday and this location was one of the many that popped up that may have it. I called the store prior to heading over and a woman answered, said her tagline really fast beyond being able to understand what she was saying or offering (under maybe 4 seconds at most.) and as soon as I could respond, I heard a click as she hung up. I said, hello a few times then I hear the dial tone. Maybe it was my phone. I called again, same person answers the phone, prior to her completing her tagline I pretty much interrupted her just in case she hangs up again for me not responding fast enough. I let her know kindly that I believe she hung up on me and her response was with an attitude I didnt hear anything so I hung up.. I did not let her know when I called the second time, that she didnt even give me enough time to respond.I asked her about the new palette that Jaclyn Hill released the vault if they had it in stock?With an attitude she replied We dont carry the vault only online @ Morphe. And that they only carried her 4 new palettes, not the box. So I asked are the single palettes the vault? Then she went to say Again, we dont have the vault just her 4 pallets.So now Im thinking to myself maybe my niece told me the wrong thing or maybe Im explaining it wrong. I went on to Google and searched the vault, the first thing that popped up was what I was looking for.So for me, working in a cosmetic store, I would assume, (As bad as it is to assume.) That as an associate no matter the level, should know whats going on or being asked about without attitude. I work in retail as well currently and I fully understand how to customer service.By the time I get there, mind you, it was only a 13 min drive, only ONE of the FOUR palettes was available and she said they had FOUR!First time shopping at an ULTA, will never be back. Ill continue to shop at Sephora, and if they dont have it, online.*I have attached screenshots of my Google searches and my call log to this location.

Went to ulta today, and read the reviews thinking this would be a great store to shop at, however; it was not I would have to agree with reviewer Rosalinda Lopez the employees made sure to follow me around, and watch me especially the female security guard up front I have no problem with preventing theft however if you are going to watch someone watch everyone in the store and not racially profile. Next, if you dont have an account with them expect to be pressure to open one, give personal information, and to have them try to open a store credit card with them like no just no highly unprofessional, and lastly for the cashier have the same attitude that you have to your white customers be friendly, ask if I found everything okay and wish me a great day watched my cashier aliene do that over and over while in line with the white customers but as soon as she got to me nothing.....wont be back at this location changes definitely need to be made.

I love this Ulta. Its my Ulta I usually go to and the pickup service is awesome during covid-19 and they will help you and ask around if they dont know the answer theyre very lovely and humble people always smiling and not bugging you, like at some other stores.

Went to Ulta for a few items today. When I arrived I was needing help to figure out what type of products I should purchase. The first associate was not helpful at all. She ignored me like if I was not visible! Fortunately, I was then helped by Sidney. Sidney was absolutely AMAZING! She made my shopping experience absolutely wonderful and fun! She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable! She made a not so good experience in the begining to a wonderful turn out in the end. Thank You Sidney!

This location is at Bella Terra in HB, next to Old Navy. Long/slow lines -short staffed every visit. Try the other one in HB for quicker service on Brookhurst/Adams. The staff there is helpful and friendly.

Ive been here since this place opened. I feel like Ive been very loyal to them and such. However, I simply think the quality or service has simply gone down so much. I know that this is just during one sale. Overall, I just dont see them very well-stocked in the items that Im looking for.One associate suggested that I use ship to store option so I can buy an item that was out of stock online. Their system was down and I couldnt even do that. Then I called ahead because I was told there was a new shipment and I could possibly find my item. I called and reserved it. I came into the store and they said they must have accidentally put it on the go-back, thus my visit was moot.While I understand that it is simply may be an off-chance. But with so many unfortunate chances on me and none of them even remotely trying to fix this, I simply cannot imagine myself even stepping inside this establishment as much anymore. I did once enjoy the experience of shopping in store and finding some options that I like. But whats the point when youre confronted with the quality of service as such that exist at this particular location?

Always low on stock. Messy displays for this location anyway. Bella Terra ...HB. Also was surprised to see a plane clothes HUGE security guard at the door. Greeting people as they walked in.Sad to see that in a way. Must be a lot of shoplifting going on there.They should worry about restocking their store though and keeping it stock fully if they want to stay in business. Nothing is more annoying then making a trip there taking the time to find the parking and going in and not being able to make your purchase because theyre out.Only 2 girls working the front cashier with A-line out and around the aisles. Also seems like they should keep enough workers on for their daily business hours. Especially on the weekends.I personally would of purchased a few more items but I didnt want to deal with trying to find SOMEONE to help me and point me in the right direction for the items I was looking for.

My wife and I went in for to get some things, and not one person who worked there wanted to help us spend money. My wife finally found what she was looking for and we left. While we waited in line to purchase my wifes items, I noticed that there were two more couples who needed help finding things and were not helped very well either. It was as if socializing with fellow co workers was more important than helping customers. Not a friendly environment at all.

I went in for first time to this location. Parking was full in front of store in this trendy popular center. I liked the vibe. Very bright and colorful decor. Prices are high. I just needed an eyebrow pencil. Picked up name brand costing $21! Then standing in line I noticed sale stand and found one for less than $10.

Ive never had better customer service. Friendly and professional staff. Prices are a little expensive, but it is hard to find lower prices for the same brands anywhere else. So I suppose thats just the cost of looking beautiful. I had assistance on makeup selection, selecting hair products, and they have a hair salon inside. Clean and organized inside the building.

Was really bummed. Went and to collect my birthday gift coupon and they said they were all out of birthday gifts. They said to try another store. They didnt even offer anything for a replacement gift. I tried to use a 20% off coupon that said it was good for Benefit Brow Bar on a benefit Goof Proof brow pencil that I wanted to purchase and she said that it wasnt good for the benefit Goof Proof. So I went online to see if I could use the code online on a goof proof pencil and sure enough I got the discount! Why the heck couldnt hit go through inside the store? And why couldnt they offer me another item in place of the one that they offered for my birthday gift? I dont want to have to be driving all over town to every single store to try to get a free birthday gift that they offered. Needless to say it was kind of a bust.

This is a review for their online order pick up station. Ulta claims it allows you to skip the line, but at this specific location, it doesn’t apply. I understand if I got there after the others waiting in the normal check out line, but I stood at the order pickup desk waiting for 15 minutes, and multiple people who came after me in the normal check out line got priority over me.What bothered me most was the register gal and three other workers saw me and didn’t even bother to get me help or say something as simple as “I’ll be right with you.” Absolutely no acknowledgement whatsoever. One of them even stopped by, right in front of me to drop off her mic, avoided eye contact, and simply left.What’s the point of having the online pickup order desk? You’re better off just waiting in the normal check out line to pick up your order.After waiting for so long, I had to walk away and ask for help since everyone who saw me, didn’t bother to want to help.

The store is clean and products are organized. Was in the store 20 mins and all the employees were grouped together in one section near the brow bar. No one greeted or asked if I needed help which I did because I was trying to find a foundation to match me. Every time I call NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE !! So I am left with having to go to Ulta and finding out what I am looking for is not in stock and I am always told they will get a shipment in during the week and to check back. Again, when I call no one ever, ever answers the phone. I end up having to far away to another Ulta Beauty Store or I end up calling and I am not put on hold for ever. The staff is very nice though so this is a plus. Just wish they would answer the phone and save me a trip. I love shopping at Ulta.

Didnt get greeted, I ended up saying hello because I have manners and Im a professional as well as kind human being. Anyways, I only stopped by before dinner. I got there early so I figured Id buy something to get my free gift with purchase from my rewards. They not only didnt greet or ask me if I needed help which I did,but I thankfully found what I was looking for, but when I paid at the register the associates tone turned differently than the previous few customers and when I asked if they had the free gift with any purchase she asked another associate who just said no, but gave me an unnecessary rude look as if I offended her. All I asked was if I could use the coupon they emailed me which was for a free gift with any purchase. Absolutely rude. This is the second Ulta I go to this week. Im done. I just think the overall staff is much more helpful and extremely more approachable, which makes a huge difference in my shopping experience. I find them all to be very knowledgable in every product you ask them about, literally, which is insane. Other major makeup stores, of which I wont name, but should be obvious to which one I am referring to... I think they know little about their products and a lot of the time, almost rude. Ulta all around is an amazing company and shopping experience and worth every penny. Its the best.

Came in on a Friday evening to try to match myself to the Juvias foundation. I was not able to find my match but I did have a lot of the employees trying to help. One employee informed my friend and I about Tarte having a good deal on getting a tarte shape tape and a free mascara. If that employee would not have told me I probably would not have seen it. I felt so overwhelmed with all the variety of makeup brands they have now. Anyways the 5 stars is for the service.

I bought some powder here and didnt like it. When I went to return it, the girl said she needed my name and phone number for the return....fine, standard info, right? She then asked for my birthday, which is totally unnecessary. I asked her why she would need that and she said oh, so we can give you your full refund. I declined...Ive shopped at Ulta a ton (one of the ladies knows me by name even) and Ive never needed to give that. So at the end of the return she hands me a rewards card.....I thought for a minute and asked another employee if a rewards card was required for a return. I let her know I already had a rewards account, and that I just didnt use it for that purchase because I couldnt remember my old phone number, the one associated with my rewards.We went back to the counter, and first the girl said it was a new card for my old account. I asked her how that could be possible, since the phone number I gave her for the return isnt associated with my rewards. I told her that if she used the rewards account for the phone number I gave her, then shed just given me a card to someone elses account. In addition, she wouldnt need my birthday, shed already have it.She then changed her story and admitted she had just signed me up for a new account. I asked if that was necessary for all returns and she verified it was not. Which I already knew, having done returns at Ulta before with and without using my rewards. Plus, like I mentioned, I already had a rewards account, just not under my new phone number.She not only signed me up without telling me but lied about it when confronted. Not the sort of practices I want to support in a business.So be prepared to be signed up for accounts under false pretenses without your knowledge or consent. Yes, its just a silly points system, but the principle of the thing has ensured that I will be doing all my makeup purchases at a competitor from now on.

I love, love, LOVE Ulta. But several of the staff were not helpful & even a bit rude last week. Despite that rare occurrence, Ulta is the Best! They have so many different brands that you can try on & test out. They dont have samples though, so thats a bit of a bummer. IDK if their rival, Sephora, still gives out samples. They used to give out a nice sized sample of foundation so could really try it. Back to Ulta: check out their Clearance area or areas (sometimes theres more than one!). You can find some steals! Ulta brand makeup is great too...its a good deal you can really save when they have a BOGO sale. Try it...I like the foundation better than some of the big name, expensive ones! If youve never been to Ulta...go! Its a playground for makeup! I can easily spend 30-60 min here having fun!

This location is full of rude employees. My sister and I have been shopping at this ulta since it first opened but in the past couple years its just gone down hill severely. Today I decided it was time to complain. I stopped here to find a product that is only at ulta has as far as I could see searching online. After walking around and searching for an employee around for awhile, a gal, who was not wearing a nametag (I pay attention to that kind of stuff because I prefer to call people by their name. Its just a nice thing to do.) asked do you need help finding anything. Unfortunately, my phone was completely dead so I couldnt show the employee, who asked if I needed help, the product that I was talking about. I DID give her the name and a description of the product. Instead of helping me look for the product, she said well it would be over there if we have it. Shocked, I walked away and said thanks for the help. I have worked in customer service for YEARS and I would NEVER dream of treating a client so poorly. I would have been more understanding if she was running a cash register or slammed with people who needed help but she walked up to me on the floor and there were no other shoppers. I know for a fact that there are ways to help a client see if there are things in stock or if the store even has them. Again, Ive been on customer service and retail for years. Even on the worst days, I am NEVER this inconsiderate or rude - just less chatty. The way she treated me must have been out of pure laziness. She could have at least asked one of the two hair stylists who were in the back working on peoples hair or some of her other teammates if they knew what I was talking about. She could then at least tell me sorry, we as a corperation, do not have computers to search for product availability, but family owned businesses that I have worked with do? You have to be kidding me. She could have tried to help but NOPE. The clientele at this location are not worth more than eh. Its over there if we have it. I told my sister about this. She says shes been going to the one on Brookhurst and Adams (well out of our way) because of the rude employees here. Why does the staff ALWAYS look like they just stepped on a dead animal. Seriously. They all walk around frowning and rolling their eyes. I took a year hiatus from this store because of the AWFUL customer service but thought I would go back today because I was in the area and needed a new straightener after leaving mine in Texas. I walked in and wasnt greeted, was staring at straighteners for a good 25 minutes before a lady asked me if I was doing good and walked away before I could say anything, I finally choose one and get to the register and this lady didnt smile once, ask if I found what I needed, and acted like she didnt want to get there at all. The staff is so uppity and arrogant. MUCH rather drive down Beach to the Sephora because the ladies there are 100000000x nicer and more helpful.

I use to come here for convenience. Now the parking is awful even on z Monday at 2. You are always out of stock of Bare minerals and I always have to go to the one in Rossmoor. Why do I bother. My concealer that I get from Wet & Wild works better than t 30$ one I got here, n my 11$ powder worked n has more coverage than t 40$ one I got here. Mac is not even that expensive, oh n then I go on Amazon to check out how much is t makeup I got at Ultra n yeah is way less.. Huge Rip off! Alot of the items they carry I think are just as over priced as the department stores ! And other then the girls behind the counters, the floor crews friendly outward willing to help really lacks of service .

Sammy is the best at doing eyebrows! I used to think I was doomed with my blonde thin lifeless brows for life, til Sammy got a hold of them and turned them into Cara Delevingnes. 😍 She tints, waxes, and most importantly, knows how to shape your brows for your particular bone structure. After were done my brows actually look clean thicker darker and on point!! Shes a pro Ive been coming to her for awhile even when I lived 45 mins away. Go here! You wont be disappointed

The girls at check out are not attentive and are super spacey and are slow, They have no sence of urgency even when the line is wrapped to the back of the store. Ulta in Seal beach the girls are on top of it providing excellent customer service while still expiditing transactions expediantly. All the girls in huntington beach seem to have a chip on their shoulder and could care less about what is going on around them. I hate going to the huntington beach location but other locations are too far!

I am so upset at this place. For the prices of services here being around $100 a month, their customer service & scheduling is atrocious!! Last month I came in at the time I was told 6:15 pm, but when I got their they said I was more than 10 minutes late for my 6:00 appt., so they couldnt see me! I was furious. I know what time they scheduled me for. Then this time they only had an appt available at 6:30 pm on a Saturday night before a big Saint Patricks Day dance I had been looking forward to for months, and she said, you arent even on our appointment list. So after some looking at the schedule she saw I was actually scheduled for the day before! Again, I know what time I scheduled my appointment for! They didnt try to call me or anything, and even though theyve called me many times before, and I had signed a contract with my contact info on it, they didnt seem to have my number! I have been coming here for over 8 months! She said there was nothing she could do, because they had one esthetician there doing her last full set for the night! So i sat outside calling around for an appointmrnt and noticed the client supposedly getting the full set hadnt shown up yet, and it was 15 minutes past the time. So I called back and she said, We are ok with her being late. So I guess it depends on who you are for how you are treated! In this business you cant treat a customer like that because its a serious problem to plan on getting your eyelashes done, after they all have fallen out, and have a major event schedueled, then screw around with the times so the customer cant go to an event planned months in advance! Basically, I know there are cheaper places with more professional staff out there! This place never seems to get it right, and all my beautiful lashes have fallen out completely, which they said would not happen!! Buyer beware!! This is the second time I have to cancel my plans, because of this ridiculous place!

I gotten my hair dye for the first time here and wouldn’t recommend at all! I show the hairstylist what I wanted and the results came back looking awful! And the prices are really expensive, again I would not recommend going here! Worst experience ever!
