I could tell he really cared about me getting the most out of my coins.I found some coins at an estate sale and wanted to sell them. Not having any knowledge when it comes to collectible coins - I was a little nervous with approaching just any coin shop for advice. After speaking with John for only a few minutes I could tell I was dealing someone with high integrity. I really appreciate that quality in people, not something you see as much as you used to, so I felt the need to leave a review. Very pleased with my experience!

It was a fair deal right off the bat, and only took me a few minutes to get my cash. First time selling coins, and I had a no nonsense experience. The proprietor is a friendly gentleman named Jon, and he made the whole thing easy. I had a number in my head going in, and it was exactly what he offered me. This place is a mess. There are valuable and rare coins laying all over the store. The place looks like the owner is a hoarder. The coins he has in the display case are only worth their weight in silver, nothing else. I brought him some items to look at and he told me that everything I had was fake, but I went to Liberty Coin and they bought almost all of what I had. This place is an absolute joke. I cannot believe this guy has been in business for 30 years. Dont even waste your time.

Stopped by the first two times and the store was not open when store hours said it should be. Finally made it in and asked about silver bars and he said he only had silver rounds. I asked to see the rounds and then I was asked how many I wanted and never even got to look at what he had in his messy pile. I said it depends on what you charge over spot and what you have he asked me 2? 3? Or 100? Still not answering my question so I said lets start with two.Then he tells me he only sells rounds in sets of 20 or more and charges $2.95 over spot. At this point Im convinced he doesnt want to sell them so I move on. Trying to find something worth buying I asked about a 2015 austrailian koala in the display case in a plastic flip that looked BU. I asked what the premium was on it and he replied, I dont charge premium over spot on that, I charge collector value its $75 (that may fly in an NGC slab with a high grade not in a plastic flip, BU goes for $25 today on that coin!) thats when I knew this place was a scam and thanked him for his time and walked out. I highly doubt these good reviews are real. If you collect silver bullion and coin avoid this place.

This was the 2nd store I went to looking to sell some coins. The store is clean and it is secure, more of a feeling of a clean store than a dirty pawn shop. The owner is very knowledgeable and fair in price. I will be going back for future things I am looking to sell. He was also paid more than the other store on Adams.

Went to sell 3 oz of uncirculated silver dollars. Weight value approximately $55. I was told that he would give me $34. I declined and went to Liberty coin in LongBeach and was paid the fair amount of $61..

I walked into this place, wanting to buy a small amount of silver, to start a business relationship with a local dealer. The guy was being a complete @#$# and making things very difficult. He finally decided after about 1 minute, he was too busy to talk to me and basically told us to leave. I was the only person in the store btw.I dont really care, i buy all my silver from Bullion Direct, but i thought i d check out a local dealer, to save on shipping/handling. Truthfully its not worth it, if you have to deal with people like this.
