Ordered catering for a party yesterday. Told the deli folks twice that I had ordered two kinds of chicken and beef sandwiches. They loaded the foil pans in my cart and told me everything was there. I got two pans and a bucket all of fried chicken. Arrived home to my guests with no variety of food. Way to ruin a birthday party and leave my gluten free guest with no option. No more catering from here. HERE IS AN UPDATE... Jewel has tried to fix this problem by running me around with more convoluted garbage about multiple types of online orders and an inability to find my order and giving me more people to contact. Here is an idea. Since I gave you my phone number fix the problem. #CUSTOMERLOST Stay away from catering from place for sure!!!

Jewel are great normally, but today the cashier person looks like robot!! Not end of the word looks like its our unfortunately future.

DO NOT ORDER PICKUP from here! Ive done it twice, it always takes over 20 minutes, with a ton of calls and confusion. Then I get home to realize I have HALF my order, and have to run back out to the store again. A complete waste of time.

Shout out to Debbie, one of the managers! I shopped at this store on a busy Saturday morning and Debbie was very helpful. She is a manager and still helped bag my groceries. She even honored a Just 4 You coupon that I didn’t clip with enough time for it to process.

Good and quick service. Well packed and received everything on time as per order, good customer service and follow up.

The management here is absolutely awful. I am a door dasher and get orders here frequently; however this store DOES NOT follow protocol for driver pickup. It says to call the store once you arrive and pull up to the “drive up and go” section of the store. Every time I come here they tell me to park my car, grab a cart, and walk inside to the end of the store where they load my groceries in the cart. Then I have to walk all the way down the other side of the store back to my car and load up my delivery. Imagine being so incompetent you can’t have your staff follow basic written instructions.

Plenty of parking. Went in for cleaning supplies, found everything I needed. Store was clean and well organized.

I miss jewel, closest for me in Rockford is why 47 Huntley ill. Decaf coffee and certain things I look for great

I usually go to the Jewel on Randall but was in the area and tried the Huntley one. Not quite as big it seems or the variety Im use to but I like the layout. The check out lady seemed rather unfriendly. She was having trouble with her hand scanner for a flower pot I was holding for her. I started to take the sticker off for her and she pushed my hand off it and did it herself...odd.

Love your store & your fried chicken, but recently stopped in and was truly disappointed with the Deli service. It was about 3:30pm on Tuesday, about 10 people waiting patiently with 2 workers and 2 other workers by the fried chicken talking (obviously waiting for batch of chicken to finish cooking). I asked if I could get an 8 piece bag. They said to take a number and wait my turn. Thought to myself, why couldn’t they have just handled it and bagged more to put out for those that only needed chicken to go???? Manager needs to consider and make some changes there. Just saying......thanks!

Great place for Norwegian Voss sparkling water = 4/$6. Excellent price, excellent water~ sparkling or still.

Its a Jewel. Has what I need. Sometimes good sales. Produce is generally pretty good. I love that they have a self checkout.

At jewel today off rt47 and apparently you do not need a mask to shop here. What a joke. They cater to all the elderly in Del Webb but yet they let people in without masks on. At least Walmart has somebody standing at the door making sure people have their masks and if they don’t they give them a free one. Won’t be back to a germ filled store. Hopefully somebody from corporate read this review on there store and takes some action.

It says close Midnight, but is not true, I drove 25 minutes to this store, I have arrived at 10:47 pm, but was closed. Why you guys have a “Store Hours” if you guys close before. That’s disrespectful and unprofessional. Lazy employees, lazy Manager... that’s awful.

Great grocery store with plenty of specialty products. Jewel has always been on the higher end of grocery pricing, but usually worth it. Their Huntley location across from the retirement subdivision is one of their best stores at least in Northern Illinois.

They are selling burnt, inedible caramel apples as a gourmet dessert for $3.50 each. Their deli is terrible any day of the week.

I have been to the Huntley Jewel at least 3 times a week. They do not sanitize their carts. Half the time there are no wipes to do it yourself. I never see any checker wiping down the checkout belts. They are always filthy. Actually, I never see anyone ever cleaning anything. I’ve see them stock shelves not wearing masks and/or gloves. I would rather go to Walmart. They are much more conscious on sanitizing.

They need a manager for the deli area. Way understaffed. 10 people deep and no help in site for 5 min. Staff doesn’t seem to be proactive and alert management that they need more help.

Always a great place to shop! Especially for a good T-bone or Porter House. Good selection of Fruits and Veggies. Clean and Friendly staff

Great beer sale. Cleaned shopping carts. One way aisles and social distancing signs all over on the floor. Everyone had masks on.

Jewel just through me out of there store, because of medical problems. I cant were a mask. Screw Jewel. Last time I checked medical discrimination was illegal. Its amazing how no one cares about the law anymore.

Theres no state order for masks yet there are signs requiring them, social distancing and following arrows. Theres a recurring message to social distance, wear your mask etc. These poor old people are scared enough, theyre running through the store! Please stop making it worse!

Newly remodeled location with a Starbucks inside. The layout is very different than previous, but easy to navigate. Friendly staff and quick checkout make this store on par with Jewel standards. Id like to see a wider variety of products.

Fantastic Wow Jewel has changed soooooo much!!! Everything was in its place and easy to find and while that they have a lot of deals the people were fantastic also very helpful and friendly always smiling!!! I highly recommend shopping at jewel save your sales papers!!

I love this Jewel. It is well organized and lots of variety. This store is clean and staff are friendly. Prices are moderate, which is the only reason why I shop at other places also.

Jewel had 10 white baskets for flowers for $5.99 .They were really nice. Gray baskets were still $12.99 same size.

I dont hate it, but their pricing is not always correct from their ads in localnewspaper. They are not always marked in store.

Clean and well stocked. Produce is very good. Only issue is prices are high compared to other local options.

Expensive, and can someone explain why they keep moving items from one end of the store to the other. I know what I want when I go to the store, and dont appreciate them forcing me to shop. I have limited walking mobility, and NO I refuse to use the electric carts.

I cant really say anything bad about Jewel... Well at least this location. Every time my family and I come here, we dont have any bad experiences. Lines can be long at the deli, but theres quite a few employees trying to help out as many customers as they can. There may be long lines sometimes at the checkouts but theres quite a few cashiers doing their best. Just went again this morning (12/16/18) and although there were decently long lines, things went fairly quick and smooth.

Our local Jewel store just had a major facelift with thousands of new products and a much-expanded liquor department. Deli meats and bakery items make this a One stop shopping experience.

The selection of fresh produce is wonderful and I have always had excellent customer service here!

Huntley Jewel is the nicest Jewel food store of the Jewel stores. All the others could take a hint from this one. At first I wasnt sure I was in a Jewel. Lol who ever the manager of this one is, needs to be promoted and sent to the jewel in Wood Dale to make that one just as nice.

The chicken from the deli was delicious and Riesons potatoes salad also🙂👍

Just another supermarket/pharmacy spot. After living 2 blocks away 11 years, it certainly is not exceptionally bad by any means. And honestly is not good either. exceptionally.Diverse liquor, wine, beer selection might appeal more to some shoppers.

So this is the 3rd time ive been to this Jewel at 5 and there is no rotisserie chickens. The last one wad made at 11 a.m. and Im not buying chicken thats 6 hours old. They need to get it together. Also for the 2nd time I tried to buy pizza crusts for my daughter. The ones I wanted were expired in September. As if that wasnt bad enough there was some dated back to this last April...disgusting. Instead of renovating this Jewel completely they shouldve worried about the food. They are a grocery store right. Very disappointing!!!!

Jewel has really good tasting meat. Deals like buy 1/get 1 free is when I fill the freezer. Their prices are comparable to our other local stores, except for sale prices.

Jewel is a solid grocery store but I do prefer a Trader Joes.

It is 5:30 in the evening and went to this Jewel to purchase chicken from the Deli. There wasnt any suitable for consumption. It was all dried out and only a few pieces left in the counter. You think they at least have chicken available until 6:30 its Dinner time. Very disappointing.

Terrible the employees were rude when asked where certain items were or just blatantly said they dont work for that specific jewel only for the company stocking items, and most isles were not stocked.

I like the Huntley Jewel and always shop there their biggest challenge is sale items are always wiped out .

They keep this store very clean and organized. Rarely will you find an item out of stock or misplaced. Most associates are pleasant helpful and eager to help.

Pleasantly quiet the day I was there. No lines, in and out quickly.

If I could give 0 stars I would. No customer service at all! I dont know if its the lack of training or the fact that these kids who worked here tonight dont care. The only helpful person was the young man at customer service.

Store is good for Bakery Items most everything else can be bought at the other grocery stores @ a lower price.

Absolutely LOVE the produce, bakery and meat department but have had issues several times with the deli department. They are not helpful or friendly and I went in one time 35 minutes before they were supposed to close and they said they were already closed because they hadnt been busy and too bad for me. I DO NOT go to the deli here anymore.

I think perhaps this particular Jewel-Osco might be better known as Grocery Market/Sundry Supplier to Del Webb Sun City, Huntley, IL. The strategic location of this primary purveyor of lifes household necessities to a rather isolated sizable community of the elderly appears to allow it to sacrifice quality, quantity, variety and hospitality to its customers. Furthermore, its convenient proximity to a community of both the presumed wealthy as well as those struggling on a budget and/or fixed income -- including a disproportionate concentration of the disabiled -- appears to be considered by this store as ripe for the picking, i.e. great for the profit margins....A couple of suggestions to boost community relations:1) Increase the number of disabled parking places.2) Increase the number of in-store guest shopping scooters.3) Provide subsidized, free or volunteer home delivery of purchases (including those made in-store; this may encourage some customers to walk, bicycle, use electric scooter etc. to/from store and/or make larger purchase per visit).4) Improve stocking and increase variety of goods and services.5) Arrange stock using first-in-first-out (FIFO) order and keep expired stock off shelves.6) Implement and encourage constant improvement of employee training, performance and satisfaction.In summary, be a good neighbor to both employees and the community!
