I was about 250 miles away from home visiting a friend in MD when my brakes abruptly started making an aggressive grinding sound. It was a Sunday and I had to get home that day so out of desperation I took my car here. To no surprise, my brakes needed replacing and I was charged about $1,100 for the job. When I got home, my car was inspected by my regular mechanic and I was told that I was given very cheap, after-market parts. Im disgusted that I paid so much money for incredibly poor parts.I feel scammed. Buyer beware for overpaying for cheap after-market parts like I did. I wish I hadnt been in such a jam! Mind you, Pep Boys told me these were premium ceramic brakes.Learn from me and take your car somewhere else to a mechanic who doesnt scam you in your time of desperation.
I hit a terrible pot hole and came to this pep boys to change my tires. Kofi helped me and was very calm, patient, and helpful throughout the whole process. He explained everything necessary and went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and understood the situation. Thank you!
I adore Pep Boys. The service center by my house is a perfect facility. But when I had an issue on the way to work, I had to tow my car to this center. Big mistake. They received my car around noon, I told them my battery light came on and to test the alternator and battery. They said they would handle it. I followed up at 3pm, they said my car was next in line and to call back at 5pm. Figured they were just busy. 5pm rolls around, they say my car is currently in the service bay and will diagnose it, but wouldnt be able to do any repairs until the next morning. Fine, a little annoyed, but I understood.I call the next morning, and lo and behold, they didnt even diagnose my car at all. Not only that, they said the tech that normally does inspections is out today, and I would have to wait until the next day. I wasnt having it.I immediately went there to pick up my car. I drove around back, tested the alternator, it was bad. Walked to AutoZone next door, got a new one and replaced it. Pep Boys had my car for two days for a project that took me 30 minutes to fix myself.I do not recommend using this Pep Boys service center.
Wow this place was awful! I had a 3pm appointment, on the phone a couple hours earlier they stated wait time should be max 2 hours. When I got there for my appointment, they were backed up and told me wait would be 3-4 hours. I was not happy. I get places get busy, but a simple call could have allowed me to make alternative plans as I was planning to wait for tire change on 2 tires. I ended up getting a ride after the fact so I didnt have to sit around for up to 4 hours! Then, they left soap on my tires and didnt replace the caps on the tires. Seriously? Take pride in your work. This just screams they dont care about you or your vehicle. Now I have to fight to get them to ship me tire caps. Called about it and never got a call back. Called again, told me to call back. Horrible customer service. You can see in photo the shotty work. DO NOT RECOMMEND, GO AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Two hours for an oil change, even though I had an appointment. They were not busy, just super slow. And they refused to rotate my tires, even though it was included in the oil change. Don’t waste your time.
Ok for my car service needs. Im a generation customer my parents use to use Pepboys. Just started using this location since I moved. Good, polite customer service. Good idea to make an appointment. The name I know and the place I trust. Lol
Service took 3 hours instead of 90 minutes. I will never go back to Pep Boys for service again. The manager Mario is not friendly at all. Did not feel welcome. Stay away from this location. You can buy things from their store, but their service bay sucks. 3 stars because they performed the work I paid for and they used the 20% off coupon I got from their website. Paid about $60 instead of about $80.
I made an appointment to get all 4 of tires replaced and get oil change done at 8am. When I made the appointment, the website said those tires were available. However, when I go to the service center, they said that they don’t have the tires and they have to get it from the warehouse, which is ok. The sales rep told me that I will be able to pick up my car at 3pm. I called them, it wasn’t done by 3pm. The sales rep said that it will be done by 4, called them again, still not done. Then they said give another hour. Went to the service center and it wasn’t still done. Finally, I got my car at 5.30pmThe worst thing is one of the sales rep hung up on me while I was talking. Very unprofessional.Decide whether you want to go and face the same circumstances by yourself. This is my second time getting all my tires replaced by Pepboys. Have to think twice before going to this location again.
PepBoys Langley Park,MD is the worst place to service your car.I came there for service around 10 am, the guy behind the counter is arrogant and very unprofessional. Its 1pm already and my car hasnt been fixed yet. Ive been asking how long it will take, they keep ignoring. They are not busy BUT they VERY VERY VERY SLOW.Almost 4 hours sitting here at PepBoys 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️Dont waste your time going there.
Waited in line for 40 mins but it didnt move by one car so so I left. They had 3 lines open and it was kind of luck of the Draw if you pick the correct lane.
If I could post less than one star I would. I never leave reviews, but the fact that I made an appointment 3 days ago for an oil change and got to the shop and was told the wait would be 2.5 hours, is ridiculous. If you value your time, which you should because that means you value yourself, I don’t recommend this shop. If I had the ability to make other arrangements I certainly would have.
Very slow pace, unprofessional workers, One guy was just standing and not taking any customers. Fatima had a very special mouth and extremely rude, told me to go to another parts store, Will never shop at pep boys ever again. Terrible customer service and workers too. Very disappointed.
They are the worst, i wait 8 hours to get back brake and 4tires changed, They only did 3 tires and told me to come back when theyve the 4th one, I went back and they want me to wait 2 hours, after they told me I wouldnt have to wait.
Pep Boys is closed down. No cashiers. Store dark and gloomy. No help anywhere ? University Pep Boys is a done deal.
I happen to pop one tire on my suv came in and I waited over 3 hours just for ONE tire to get changed and was really expensive at that. If I’m going to pay good money I would like faster service at $214 for a suv tire. I will probably never come back for tire service the wait time ruined my whole day
Slow, unorganized, not enough employees and did I say slow.
Walked in for my oil filter and change appointment, was seen and out of there within 2hours!! Great service!! See you in about 5k miles.......
Do not come here if you are on a time restraint. While I appreciate the nice customer service, I made an appointment for an 8:00am appt for one tire change, they took my car back before 8:30am and it is 9:13am and I am behind my schedule for the day and my car still isnt done- for one simple tire change. I know there are 2 mechanics, and as the gentleman explained to me, the mechanic is thorough, which I get. But there is nothing further to inspect with a simple tire change. Respect the customers time and schedule as well.
We dropped our Honda Pilot off with a bad starter that needed switching, we asked for a estimate and general diagnostic, as we just went through a very stringent NY State diagnostic with no issues and passed. The shop never called with an estimate, never got an authorization to work on our vehicle, proceeded to install a secondhand starter and installed it incorrectly and messed up the wires for our sensors to the transmission. When we dropped the truck over it had NO SHIFTING OR TRANSMISSION ISSUES. Now it’s undrivable and they refuse to fix what they damaged, saying they don’t do transmission work. We are being forced to sue, as they refuse to remedy the damage they caused. We are states away from Home, forced to pay for a hotel until someone fixes the damage they’ve done and they refuse to do anything to fix it or square up with us for our losses! DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!
They do not remove your battery for you, however the service attendants working inside of the pep boys store went above and beyond to help me make sure I did not improperly remove it myself I wish I got the guys name, he even walked me over to the service department even though he worked in the store which was not connected they were very helpful
I dropped my car off 9/3/2020 at around 3:00 pm to figure out what was wrong with the suspension. There was a 20 min wait at the desk to check in. I was informed that I would be called about my suspension issue before any work was done. I was never called. At 7:45 pm I called Pep Boys in which case the mechanic told me that it would be an additional $1700. I asked what for he explained, in detail, what had broken and where. I asked why I wasnt notified earlier and he could only say he was busy. He then asked me if I was going to be there in 10 minutes because they were about to close. I told him I couldnt and that I should have been notified if I needed to pick it up by a certain time. After calling 1 other shop I found the work to be able to be done for a few hundred dollars less. By this time it is 8:05 pm (5 minutes after closing) and I am not able to get through to the mechanic again. On the morning of 9/4/2020, at exactly 8:00 am, I called Pep Boys again. I was left on hold for 15 min before an associate came to the phone. Once I explained what my situation was, he asked if he could call me back in 15 min or I could call him because he had other people in front of him. I waited 45 min and called again. I was on hold for 20 min before i spoke to someone then placed on hold for another 5 so he could finish up with the person in front of him. I do not suggest this location under any circumstances.
Pep Boys is a terrible place to bring your car. A $250 repair made in December failed. But since its more than 3 months ago, they want me to pay for labor to refix. Labor is 95 percent of the bill. Totally crooked.4-30-2021 UPDATEAfter a week of emails with PepBoys Corporate, the local store manager called me to offer 25 percent off on the repair the store botched earlier. I declined.
Its my sixth time that I bring my car to PepBoys, to do the oil change, filter and tire rotation ... Costumer service is always very good every time when I come ... if my car needs something else they let me know ... even though they are always busy they continue to provide good service,😊 I really like their attention and the maintenance they have done on my car ... so for you friendly staff I give 5 stars ...
You cant get nobody on the phone they just hang up as soon as you call
Had a servicing and wiper replacement done on my car. Simple and straightforward process. Manager was mindful of the customer queue and 6ft distancing. They have a huge car parts store attached for time pass and convenience. They are a full service business for car needs.
Best service center I been to in a while that commits there self to customers and make sure the job gets done the guy Mario at the front desk always act like he has a attitude kind of not welcoming but thanks pep boys and Davon for your dedication
Great customer service! Was in and out within minutes.
They took money without quality work I want to go to the court office in order to get my money back
Nice store and clean, but didnt have the part I needed.
I want everybody to understand something, if you havent been to this location or are trying it for the first time, they will try to hit you over the head with a crazy bill. Please do not trust this place. Get a second opinion before they scam you out of hundreds of dollars. Awful customer service as well. Save your money, go somewhere else.
To clarify, the auto repair garage is still Pep Boys, but the shop is now Auto Plus.
Even when you have an appointment they dont receive customers
Went here to get my tires replaced, windshield wipers done and an oil change after relocating across the country for a job. My tires were balder than Patrick Stewart, they were *bad*, and the staff here were super friendly and gave me a great deal. Honestly, if I had known it would be this hassle free, I wouldnt have put off getting new tires for so long. 10/10 will definitely come to this location again.
While I was awaiting an engine replacement my battery died and would not hold a charge.I returned it to Pep Boys and the 30 month warranty was instantly honored. I walked out with a fresh battery, hooked it up and now Im rolling right...
Had parts that Were needed in stock
Terrible...they need to manage their jobs a little better. I was the first customer there with just an oil change that they mentioned would take about 20 minutes. Not only did I sit there for 2 hours, I watched other customers after me... leave before me. Not happy with their service or their explanation 😕
They gave me a discount!
Worst place to have your car serviced. While personnel is friendly, the place itself is not. Even after the website lets you schedule an appointment, it is not honored once you are at the shop, I mean 2 hours for an oil chance, thats just way too much.
Worst customer service experience
Good pipos
Jose got me in quickly for an oil change after their competitor cancelled on me twice. Quick service and good work.
I’ve been here since 11:30am and still sitting here 3:16pm. THE WORST!!!!! Avoid coming to this place. Your whole day will be gone.
Made a appointment. Listed in comments inbound be waiting for car. I arrived 30min ahead of schedule and was told 3hrs possibly overnight if they cant finish.I stated its a rotation only 30min tops. I was told making a appointment is for dropping off only. This doesnt even make sense 🙄. Never ever again pepboys
Good service with responsive staff - good value.
I made a 230pm appointment online only to be told when I got there that it would be a two to three wait. RIDICULOUS!
The worst service ever
Called to get tire prices and the guy over the phone was very much helpful! Thank you!
Wow, I cant believe what a different experience I am having compared to last year. What is the point of placing an order a day ahead and then making an appointment? Apparently the darn tires arent even here yet and Im now waiting over 2 hours!
Great place everyone is very professional prices are good
I took my car to Pep Boys to install two tires that I purchased from TireBuyer, because Pep Boys was listed as an authorized installer. I arrived around 5:45pm, and was told that my car should be ready around 7pm. Almost 4 hours later, the car was finally ready around 9:30. So I pulled off and then realized that the person who installed my tires did not put my good full-size tire back in the car, even though the directions were clearly written on the work order. I had to turn around and go back to Pep Boys to get my good full-size tire that the tech/mechanic put with the stack of bad tires. On top of that, the tire tech/mechanic did not lock the donut spare tire in the spare tire well. When I got home, I found the spare tire lock in the rear cargo compartment of the car. This visit was my first time I let Pep Boys touch any of my cars in over 15 years. The last time I went to a Pep Boys, I was billed for work that was not done. Fifteen years later... and still no improvement on the customer experience.
Worst service ever I don’t recommend coming to this location, I have been waiting for 3 hours just for a brakes check
Was good service better parts s we rice discount better support my car 2015 nissan altima was good save money on discount 👌
Dead battery - simple procedure, right? Told by Mario A. that it would be ‘about an hour’. Questioned that answer b/c of nearly-full waiting room and fact that he told previous (potential) customer that it would be 3 hours for service. His response was that the previous person had a different service need. After settling in and reading a book I had brought, I waited 2hours before asking about progress. All the while knowing that my car was still in the parking lot. Mario stepped out and moved my car into a repair bay. When he returned, he told me that I was next. Again, I questioned how long it would take. ‘45 minutes’ was the answer. I questioned the original time estimate and Mario denies telling me ‘1 hour’.Hence, the low rating. Still in waiting room approaching the 3 hour time mark. Unclear about how much longer it will take to leave this store and never return.Save yourself...find another store with employees who stand by their statements. With a dead battery, I had very few options once I turned off the engine.
Aligned my vehicles wheel, but poor service provided. I had to return there for appropriate alignment and still feel that the wheel isnt well aligned. Waste of $99. Will find somebody else to do the job.
Honest, good service, relatively cheap compared to area service spots. Only issue is they have you on hold for the longest time but when youre there it seems like thats all they do is pick up the phone an put it on hold. They can fix cars though... really it would be 5 stars if it werent for the phone. The actual wait times for service are not bad.
It gets to full long wait time.
Kofi is a terrible service person. Very arrogant on phone. Talk to people the way you would talk if you were not behind a counter. I had a 12pm appointment for wheel alignment, 6:50pm it was never even started on. He placed other orders in front of me. Staff members told me. Lost a customer and will file a formal complaint with BBB
Black Friday sale 4 tires for the price of two 255/50 R 20 saved me a guap of money
Estefanie was really great! She went far and beyond helping us with our needs. We were looking for a particular small seal for our engine. Its a small plastic seal that wears down after time with varying temperatures. If it wasnt for her then we wouldnt have been able to get it in time! My dad was in town and he fixed my oil leak with that part. If she hadnt gone out of her way to make sure we got it then it wouldnt have been fixed! She is clearly very knowledgeable and always seems to have the right answers. Thanks Estefanie!
Made an appointment for oil change. Told over phone it would take 2 hours. Had to wait in line an hr to drop off keys even though an appointment was made. Only one person available at service desk taking calls and customers. Terrible experience
I broke down in Maryland and had the displeasure of coming to this place for service. I dont even understand how this place is still operating. The level of unprofessionalism is absurd. There was no one available to check my vehicle or even give sound advice regarding the condition of my vehicle. Long story short, I was stranded in Maryland and had to travel to find a mechanic. This place is pitiful...
The people there are rude and don’t give any good service also go back on their word wouldn’t recommend going there
I will never go back to Pepboys in Laurel, MD again. I stopped by there because while I was driving, I heard and could feel something in my tire. It was late in the evening, about 20 minutes before closing, but they said they couldnt help me and to bring it back the next day. I begged them. I said that I may have a flat tire in the morning, but they didnt care. These men have the nastiest attitudes and they have always been like that. I dont know why I even went. Probably because Im a single female and I was afraid that I was going to get a flat, and they are very close to my house, and that is the only place that is open that late. Poor customer service.
Very professional and customer oriented guys! They do really good work and they talk with you through everything they are doing. My vehicle runs great after getting it fixed here!
If there is zero and less that’s what they deserve for their customer service specially the African American guy the way he treated customers is the worst I see before you ask his answer is no, you can’t and we can’t for any requests I saw this he did this repeatedly for different customers even one customer was looking a tire he said we don’t have then one of his colleagues go and grab the same tire the customer looking. So Pep Boys give attention to their name and customer service quality.
I bought four Hankook Optima tires on Pep Boys website, and had them shipped to the store. I gave an extra day for delivery, and made an appointment for 9 am the day after. Pep Boys website had a very competitive (even best) price all in (tires, free shipping to store, installation, valves, and balancing, road hazard insurance and alignment). My appointment time was honored, and I was done in about 90 minutes, which is reasonable for the work done. Store is close to convenience stores and some restaurants, so I could occupy myself during the wait. Overall, an excellent tire purchase and installation experience ... as good as any I have had.
The guys working at this Service Center location were ALL very friendly, professional, on time, took Exactly time estimated (I waited in waiting area )and helpful in every way. I even made a purchase in the parts store and had the same experience in that part of Pep Boys. I am from out of town but will definitely use Again if I need to when visiting my parents in Silver Spring, MD Again. New tires are great!
Worst estimate car hit a curb rear tire pointing inwards they estimated 7,000. For repairs want a joke the car cost 9k. They wanted to replace control arm axel rear shocks rear rim all 4 tires a really dishonest estimate. This is a 2009 bmw 328i not my car its my uncles
I wish to give them zero star if possible. They are very unprofessional and they don’t know the advantages of time. I went there for oil change after 3 hrs schedule return to get the car they say can’t do it today and ask me to come back tomorrow.Really?
This place is mass unorganized been here since 11 am told my oil change will be done by 3 pm and time is 4.11pm still not done and manager over here told me that I am next almost two hours ago but still not. If you are smart don’t come here never ever.
These people have the worse system Ive ever had in my whole life. I my tires and front end alignment done at a pep boys in college park Maryland because it was the closest shop to me at the moment. When they were finished they said if I have any problems with the repairs I could take it to any pep boys. About a month and a half goes by and my alignment messed up again. I took it to a local pep boy that was closer to my house and they told me they couldnt fix it because we are not responsible for it. I then bought it back to the original shop and I had to wait because they only had one mechanic. I then called Headquarters to file a complaint and the receptionist hung up on me. This company is terrible and I will never do business with them again.
I decided to make an appointment online to do wheel alignment because I thought that would save me time. I showed up just to be warned that they were short of mechanics and that the wait time would be up two and half hours. I Cancelled. Drove to a nearby place and completed it in 30 minutes. Not only that but the staff I dealt with was a bit unprofessional. Here is a little advise: When someone brings business to you, treat him or her with respect. You are not doing him a favor.EDIT 04/18/21:Returned after a while: Not sure if there is any improvement on the service dept. but the parts area appears the same. Bought online for store pickup. The guy had no idea what Im talking about LOL. Another guy said Let me see if we have it even though I have already reserved it. Broken system.
The response I received from the owner did not address inconsistencies in service and lack of repair of the original problem, nor did it refund me for the stolen money at this point. Update: took my car another garage after they recommended that take it to the dealership. The new garage repaired the main issue the pipe and fan, not the thermostat. I continue be pepboys their lack luster.Wrote this two weeks ago:This place is a ripoff and they have poor service. They charged me $400 for replacing a thermostat, after having kept my car for three weeks without actually fixing the issue. Had to call several times to get the repairs on the way. My car overheated again soon as I left the lot. Managers were dodgy and no one but one guy actually looked at the car to let me know they could not do anything about it and had it not been obvious that they had already ripped me off they would have charged me again. GOOD LUCK IF YOU GO HERE TRIPLE WARNING ⚠️
It is what it is. they do their job. fix cars. fixed prices. good explanations. serviceable waiting room. okay bathroom. gets pretty busy most of the time.
Took my car in for having a lazy start. Found out it was the battery. Good thing it still had warranty on Bosch car battery. Got a brand new battery installed. Thanks Julio for checking my car. You always do a great job. I hope the company knows you a valuable asset. Keep doing a great job.
Only place I feel I can depend on when it comes to an honest service. If you looking for a quick service, best look somewhere else. For me, its worth the time I give them to fix my car,But make sure you have a ride to take you home on big services.
They provide a great synthetic oil change at a cheaper price than others. Service was quick and efficient.
Was treated very fairly had good visit Tyler keep me infrom on when it was my turn for my car.Tyler also keep me in the loop about what I needed to do for my car he told me that getting two tires wasnt a good fit I should get all four his coversation with his customers about their vehicles was great. Tyler attitude with his customers was wonderful he didnt aloud anyone to get in front of the other he value his customers.
DO NOT GO HERE!!! You will waste your whole day here because of poor scheduling on their end and lack of communication with customers!! Even if you are just getting an oil change theyll have you waiting hours!I brought my car in at 9am and was given an estimated completion time of 2pm. When I arrived back at the shop at 1:30pm I saw my car in the air so I assumed they were getting ready to finish. I look up again and my car is parked and no one has said anything to me. I ask whats going on and was told it was still being serviced. I asked how long it would be and no one had an answer. So when I asked what has been done in the last 6 hours the man says nothing we are short staffed. So my car was there all day and not one thing had been completed. When someone finally started working on it, I asked how long it would be and I was told an hour and a half. If it only needed that much time why was I waiting for my car from 9am-4pm? I understand being short staffed, but for all of those hours not one person could service my car AND I had an appointment. No one could give me a phone call and let me know there would be a delay? Very inconvenient and unprofessional
Thank for great customer service- I trust these guys at this shop to tell me what I actually need as opposed to other shops around
A little bit of a wait but great service!!
I noticed my tire was flat around 9pm last night while visiting my mother. I put some air in it as a quick fix, hoping it would survive my 30 mile work commute to Baltimore. Luckily, it did, with no flat. However, I decided it was best to take it in for inspection anyway. I got there around 8:15, about 45 minutes before they were to close. The service specialist, Antonio, came out to my car, found the problem and said it would only take a few minutes to repair, but since it was so soon to closing time, he was unsure if their mechanic would be able to get to my tire. Sure enough, the mechanic said he wouldnt do it. I told Antonio that I had a long commute to work tomorrow and asked if there was anything I would be able to do about getting my car in the next morning to ensure I wouldnt be late. Without a hesitation, he told me to hold on and went back into the garage. A few seconds later, he came back out and started taking my information. Assuming he was setting me up for an appointment tomorrow morning, I asked him how this was going to work. He replied Im going to fix your tire.Fifteen minutes later, when my tire was all finished, a bit confused, I asked him what happened, because I thought the one mechanic that was there was too busy to service my vehicle. He told me that he helped the mechanic out, to speed along the process so that my car could be worked on. Although it was probably something small for them, the fact that he was able to take on extra work to help me get work on my car done solidified my opinion about this place. Ill definitely be going back next time I have tire issues. Thanks, Pep Boys.
I would not recommend you come to this place unless you have a day to spend sitting and waiting on your vehicle. They need help with customer service and scheduling . I was getting 4 tires replaced and waited for about 4 to 5 hours and the problem is that I have been trying to get this done since last Thursday. So they had an major issue with scheduling and they are short of staff.
Waited 4.5 hours to get serviced even though an appointment was scheduled. When asking the mechanics when my car would be handled they kept saying “ you’re next” Which was a lie.... if possible, go to the Laurel branch. They at least are honest and Stick to appointment times.
Thank for great customer service- I trust these guys at this shop to tell me what I actually need as opposed to other shops around
I would like to commend a young man by the name of Steven for taking the time to balance the air in my tires yesterday 11/15/15. I am a 64 yr. old women with Rheumatoid Arthritis & cannot bend down low or long enough to put air in my tires and needed the air balanced to make my 2-1/2 hr drive back to Richmond, VA. Thank you Pep Boys for Steven. He was very polite and helpful to a senior in need.
Had my oil changed here. The price was good, but it seemed as though only 1 person was capable of working the customer service desk at a time. It took forever to get checked in and even longer to pay and get my keys back afterwords.
Bad service! I order 2 tires online and never received 😒 3 days waiting and never arrived... bad service in the store Hyattsville MD 👎👎
I accompanied my friend as he was getting his flat tire fixed. The mechanic identified other tires that were on the verge of going flat as well so he had the mechanic replace them so he wont have it happen again.
I do not recommend this place to anyone and if could give 0 stars, I would. Horrible service, rude people. I made an appointment for 1 pm on Feb 13 and I was told it would be at least 2 hours before they can take a look at my car and would call me once done, which was fine at first. I wanted until 4 pm and decided to call myself to find out the status of my car. A girl answered the phone and said you are next in line and the mechanic is almost done with the car in front of you, and said I will call you soon. I waited for a call until 6 pm and decided to go in, waited for almost 30 minutes to speak to someone. Once I was at the counter, the guy told me that your car is next, and as soon as the mechanic is done with the car in front of you, we will be able to take a look at it. By that time, I had enough and told him that my car has been here for over 5 hours, I made an appointment. All he had to say was they are busy. Never in my life I am going here again.
Horrible customer service, I took my car for a diagnosed I didn’t think would take to long it took 3 days, for them to tell me leave it one more day all because they couldnt tell what my car had. And they kept Inventing on what was wrong with the car. I end up paying and leaving the place that same day I called another mechanic and he was able to tell me that it was the transmission that wasn’t working right. I’m never coming to get my car check at this place. I notice that they start working on car and then they move to the next and so on, they don’t just stay on one whole place. I’m so upset.
I waited for over 3 hours just to get an oil change. What really threw me off was that 30 minutes into my time there I was told that I was the next car.The customer service was mostly polite and as far as I can tell, the work was done just fine. However, I couldnt stand the wait. I would have appreciated it if they let me know the vehicle would be ready in 3 hours so that I didnt keep waiting thinking I was the next vehicle.
Tylor provided an excellent service for starter and alternator replacement. It took three days to finish the job and I had some difficulty in contacting them by phone (waiting time was too long) but I would visit him again since he is reliable and responsible.
Biggest waste of time ever to come here. Scheduled an appointment at 2:00 for an oil change and the guy said I had to wait for about 2.5 hours before they could get started on my car. What’s the point of even having an appointment then. The guy said they only have one mechanic who does oil changes but multiple people can select the same time slot every 30 minutes. inefficiently run and incompetent management. I ordered tires online which were $95 each plus if you made the appointment on-line they supposed to give you 10% off plus,... but guess what?... in the store they increased the price to $105 and then gave me 10%, the associated ignored my complaint and the manager can not handle the situation and simply apologize saying that the system were not working well.
Me and my boyfriend went there earlier yoday to get a patch in the left back tire that has 1 nail in it. They told us it would be an hour and a half wait. When we came back they said that we had 4 in the right back tire. I know for a fact that we did not have nails in that tire because we put air in the tires the night before and check to see if the other tires had nails in them. They really put nails in our tires and told us we needed two new tires. I did not pay and I refused to get their service. We are never going back to pep boys this is ridiculous.
I do not recommend this location unless you are a patient person. Every visit required a follow up visit because a procedure was performed incorrectly. I appreciated the fact that their prices was reasonable and they offered coupons. However you get what you pay for. I got an awesome deal on rear brakes and struts in October. I drove off the lot and was almost in an accident as my tires were positioned if it were pigeon toed feet, I felt that I did not have control as I drove. I returned to the lot and they adjusted it for me. Then brakes squealed horribly which I mentioned before I left the lot. I was told by the gentleman at the register that over time the sound would go away. The sound only got worse. Since I was under warranty I returned, not only did the brakes continue to squeal but now my brake lights came on and my battery light. Third visit...they said the reason for this was because my alternator was bad...They install a new alternator but forget to plug it in. This caused my battery to die in mid traffic. I couldnt even turn my hazard lights on as incoming traffic came towards me and could have been rear ended. I learned to just pay the money to get the job done correctly.
Auto parts store its pretty well stocked never been there for service only for parts. The parts are a little bit more than AutoZone however they generally run a special that is 20 to 25% off. So always check the promo codes even if they say for online only. The staff is generally pretty nice and helpful.
