My one star is for Fred Meyers return policy. I am a foster mom and we received a group of 5 children to take into our home. We had a very generous donation of clothing purchased for our family from one of our local churches. Some of the clothing did not fit and just needed to be exchanged. I did not have a receipt. You can only exchange up to $50 every 3 months is what I was told. I am very disappointed!! If you are purchasing gifts for donations to organizations for the holidays such as clothing that may not fit and may need to be exchanged dont purchase from Fred Meyer until they can come up with a better plan!!
Great prices. Nice, clean and organized. Friendly and helpful people working there. We found everything we needed plus some. Well go again before we leave town.
I don’t understand why the prices are so high? I’ve been disappointed a few times by a price being advertised as a good deal, and then at checkout finding out it’s much higher. I probably need a membership card or something. So it’s not a friendly place for people who are just coming in off that streets in that regard. But the store is clean and the workers seem at least somewhat friendly. So that’s a plus for them.
Prices are 75-100% higher than competitors, especially home goods. Staff are rarely courteous or helpful. Lots of better places to spend your money in Idaho Falls.
The parking lot is horrible, the store is dirty, prices are high. They are still limiting the number of certain items that you can buy, even though they have few customers that still shop there and the shelves are nearly full. With any luck, they will close down soon and something useful can go in that location.
Usually I love shopping here. However my experience the last few weeks has been really disappointing. My husband asked for a replacement card for a card that would not scan anymore. Instead of giving him a new card they made him an entirely new account that got separated from our old account. Our old cards got marked as lost and stolen without our knowledge and we went awhile without receiving or gas or in store discounts because of it. An associate in the store said she could not help us with account lookups and directed us to customer service. Customer service told us this couldve been solved in store had the previous employee verified we didnt lose our old cards. After thinking the solution was fixed with customer service today in store my coupons did not appear on my transaction. Instead of holding up the line at the register I asked if it could be solved at customer service. Upon arriving at that counter Sarah was the most unhelpful associate Ive interacted with. She threw me attitude when I told her Ive been having issues with my cards and would prefer if she scanned my card instead of using my number. She verified my number and tells me thats what your number is there for. I tried to move on and continue to be polite about explaining my situation. When asking for my adjustment she didnt even verify my coupons. She glared at me when I offered to show my phone to show her I really did have coupons clipped to be honest with her. I asked her do you want me to just tell you the amount? All she could say was yeah. She didnt even listen about the issues Ive had with my card. Was extremely rude at checkout. And had an all around bad attitude. I couldve told her I had $50 in coupons. I dont feel like this was handled correctly. After all the issues weve had I was happy to get back to normal shopping. Unfortunately Sarah ruined that for me. If this behavior within associates continue we may be looking for a different grocery store to spend our money at.
This is a nice store with a lot of variety, which is good because it’s a one stop shop. The only problem is the deli people. The are excessively rude, and don’t even let us finish ordering before cutting us off. We have specific instructions about our cheese, and relay it very clearly to them, but they get it wrong every time ( maybe because they cut us off before we finish!)There’s one good lady there; the rest are terrible! Please get some new deli staff!!
They seem to have trouble keeping things in stock. They also recently changed their hours without giving anyone a heads up.
I shop here all the time and usually dont have issues with the employees, but the lady who was bagging on lane 2 today 7/30/21 at 9:31 am (tall with light brown hair in a messy ponytail wearing a tie dye blue shirt and black apron) had a nasty attitude. An older couple in front of me kept asking if they were charged sale prices for everything which slowed down the line but I guess that ruined the baggers day. I brought my bags towards the front as the old couple left and the bagger put my parsley and basil in a plastic bag and as I handed her my reusable bags she said in a snarky way well I cant bag them in your bags if I dont have them seriously? Was I supposed to ram through the old couple to give them to you? Have an ounce of patience. Then I said well I couldnt get to you to hand them to you then she says its fine but is it really though? Your body language, lack of eye contact, and tone mean otherwise. Just because your having a bad day with another customer doesnt mean you take it out on others. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. Management needs to talk to her because one day shes gonna mess with someone that isnt gonna let her off easy. Check yourself.
This is for the bakery specifically. I’ve always had the best experience with their cakes, but this last time was definitely the worst experience I’ve ever had with any bakery. I ordered a cake and 2 dozen cupcakes for my husbands birthday. I ordered 1 week in advance, and it was a simple order (1-8inch 3 layer cake w/black frosting and gold sprinkles, 2 dozen cupcakes- 1 dozen w/black frosting and gold sprinkles and 1 dozen w/white frosting and gold sprinkles). I went to pick it up the day I was supposed to, and found out that my cake order wasn’t done due to the decorator not being in that day. They were provided my cell phone number and didn’t call me about it, and the lady that helped me didn’t even act like it was a big deal. The cake not being done was fine since the party wasn’t until the next day and my friend could pick it up. I get a text from her saying that the cake had a crack in the frosting and the cupcakes only came with black frosting. The lady didn’t even seem phased by it and didn’t offer to fix it. I will probably never order from this bakery again.
Fred Meyers has a little bit of everything. They have a pharmacy, their own Starbucks coffee inn the west entrance, they have Fred Meyers Jewellers on the east entrance, Chase bank has a branch inside, Fred Meyers also has a deli, seafood, bakery, fresh produce, clothing, outdoor and home improvement supplies, home decor, and if course groceries. The staff there are friendly and always aim to please. Good seasonal clearance items as well and decent prices all around.
Staff alwasy goes above and beyond to help you out. very clean and easy to find what you are looking for
The store is clean and the parking lot is huge. You can find anything from groceries and clothing to jewelry. Though, we needed a store card to get the sale prices and this discouraged us from shopping more ( just passing through town). The neighborhood looks shabby and the people not really nice and without patience - probably not safest place around.
Easy quick and everything is usually stocked up well and very clean. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Curbside pickup associates are fantastic! The whole crew working the on-line/curbside pickup department are so wonderful to deal with. Great customer service, especially from Brandon. Ive dealt with him several times and each time has been a good experience. Because of terrible customer service experiences locally, Ive stopped going to my local grocer, only a 5 minute drive away; and taken my business to Fred Meyer, even though its a 40 minute drive round trip, due to the exceptional customer service at Fred Meyer.UPDATE: 11 November 2020Have once again had another fantastic experience with my Fred Meyer shopping. Curbside crew is always so helpful and accommodating. They were more than happy to hold my order from yesterday to today when I didnt feel comfortable driving in the heavy snowy weather yesterday. I usually have one or two orders a week, and every time has been a great experience.
If you need a few items, food or other, this is the place for you! You can stop in and get anything at a discount price!
Huge store with huge selection of food, home goods and even clothing.
I was having a frustrating morning, and as I was scanning cinnamon rolls 2 of the packs did not want to scan. Out of nowhere an employee came up and helped me. I dont know his name, but this morning he made my day!! Thank you for such great service!!
Love Freddys for my last minute needs. Only thing that i dont like is the mask policy. I come into store probably 3 times a week if not more. You say its mandatory but every time i am there i see multiple people without them including your employees. You want to stay safe as a company as well as for the community who shops at your retail but i only ever see the cashiers wearing masks.
There was a limit on Pepsi & Coca-cola Products. I asked customer service before I started shopping if I could get 4 - 12-pack of each brand. 3 employees said yes. Then when I went to check out a Karen Manager started freaking out at me and said you can’t buy more than 4. I proceeded to explain that I had previously asked before and she said I don’t care what you were told. You put that back! Never shopping at Fred Meyer again! I used to spend $600 a month and no more, guess this guy is getting a Debit Card and shopping at Winco!Just walked into Winco - NO LIMITS!
For truck delivery, it is best to use East Anderson. Turn in at McDonalds to get to receiving docks.
Like wal mart but better
I got what I wanted, fast.
Always find what I need!
Fred meyers is a great store to be able to go in and get what you need and get out if theyre not that busy
I put in an online order for pickup of an item that can’t be found at any other store. I searched many online stores, went in person to stores, and the only website that said this item was offered was Fred Meyer according to their website. So I placed my order online and traveled 30-40 minutes to pick up this item. I got there and they had not set aside my item I had requested a week ago. They offered a replacement instead but it was not the exact item I had requested. Do not order online unless your willing to sacrifice what you really want! They didn’t even let me know they would replace it until I traveled there! Can’t believe they didn’t reserve my item and set it aside....
No one to offer assistance or answer questions.
I like the pickup option, as I dont always like going inside the store. Unfortunately, Im finding it increasingly difficult to get the items I order at this location anymore as they are so frequently out of stock. As an example, Ive been trying for months now to re-purchase a Gortons product that was available in March, but has never been seen again. Ive even contacted Gortons directly since I thought it was a supply problem, but theyre claiming its a Fred Meyer problem. So frustrating. I also absolutely HATE the remodel they did! It is SO ugly and feels like Im shopping in a nasty warehouse.
It would be nice if those working in the deli would look up every once in a while to see if they have customers. Instead, they only focus on the prep they are doing.
Fred Meyer is My fave store
Love shopping there.
Since covid this store does not follow cdc guidelines nor do they enforce it.I use to love shopping there now like other stores I try to avoid it as much as I can.The pharmacy people are awesome thats about it, Ive watched people get into heated arguments over not wearing face masks and coughing on and around food not covering their mouths because once people get inside the instantly remove their mask and start sneezing and coughing everywhere. So, If you love good treats with a little covid and no type of enforcing rules for wearing masks or social distancing then this is your place to go.If they enforce those rules especially now that we are heading into winter Ill change my review and give it a higher rating but until then the only reason I gave them a 2 star is because of the pharmacy!
Amazing variety of product lines. I guess Id call it a department store. You can spend a long time here and not get bored. Hit the frozen foods last.
We went into the Idaho Falls store on 4/28/20 and seen they had patio furniture on sale 40% off. Great! We wanted to buy a gazebo they had and the chandelier, over $1000 worth of goods and they didn’t have any in stock! Nor would they give us a rain check. They didn’t offer to hold one for us nor take our name and phone number so they could call us when they came in. Instead, we have to call each day and see if any arrived. What terrible customer service is [email protected]
I recently bought a pair of pants here. I couldnt try them on because the fitting rooms are currently closed. When I got home I tried them on, but they dit bigger than they should. Next day I went back to exchange for the next size down and again took them home to try on. This time, too small. So because there was no in between size I went back to Customer Service for a refund. Maybe the girl was new, I dont know, but even though I paid with a credit card she tells me it cannot be returned to my card. You either take a gift card or you keep the pants. I tried to explain that it needed to go back to the original card and finally had to get a manager involved. The redund was processed again, back to the card, but they werent sure if in fact it would work. I was told to check my account to make sure. Well, the refund did go through. I have worked in retail and Im pretty sure that if I returned an item with receipt I should be getting the FULL amount back in the original form of payment. Yes, my refund was in fact less than what I originally paid. Just a few cents, that I didnt notice until I got back home across town, but was, but definitely not my full refund. Is there a restocking fee on clothing now?I drive from Sunnyside to this store just to avoid going to Walmart, but if this is going to be a normal thing maybe Ill just find what I need on my side of town.It really is true. Customers remember bad experiences more than the good ones.
You can find almost anything there!
They did a huge remodel, sure. But the fact of the matter is that it’s more difficult to shop here because of the new layout.Plus, nearly all of the “sales” we’ve gotten have had to be modified at checkout because they were either the normal price or HIGHER than the normal price!Oh and... we’ve witnessed one of the main produce employees not wash their hands after using the bathroom . That’s disgusting. Not to mention dangerous.
Best grocery store in Idaho Falls!!! Great service, clean store, good prices, excellent sale prices and coupons for loyal customers, friendly service and my favorite place to shop. Its wonderful they have a little bit of everything, which saves me time running around town. Also, we love their fuel points.
Ok
It was great! I live in Challis Id and havent been to Fred Meyers for a year. We were greeted and smiled at and I have not ever seen that. I will go back to shop again. WAY TO GO FRED MEYERS!!!!
Good place to get groceries and just about everything else
Very nice store, with everything you need .... if you can afford the prices.
Suppose to be for the employees not really. I transfer from Boise to IF. When I get to IF all of a sudden the position is not available. For some reason Tim does not I have it in me to be a cashier, without even giving me a chance. I even went and got training, but still not hired.
I spend upwards of 7 $800 a month at Finn Myers and I will never spend another dime again just because of the lady that is in the gas pumps tonight.... Today is July 20th our lady needs fired or I will never be back
Went to there jewelry store, was looking for a certain item the gentleman that assisted me was absolutely wonderful, very helpful and knowledgeable. Love doing business with these ppl. Thanks again Eric.
I really enjoy pick up at the store i am senior and only have so much engery.
Prices on clothing are really good. Prices on meats are expensive (most expensive in the city.) Vegetables are decent. They have a really good health foods/ vegan section (better than the local health foods store...) They have a great deli that serves good lunch items. I go there several times a month for lunch and eat there at their deli tanker area. The garden center is good for two months of the year, but otherwise its pretty much non existent.
Great place to shop and great lunches
Always find what you need at Fred Meyers. They have a good selection of many different items. The main part is groceries and they have good fresh stuff here. The store is located easy to get to, making it a nice place to stop in and grab anything you need.
Best fresh produce in town, reasonably good sized organic foods and Asian foods sections (for this town), some bulk foods, clean bathrooms. But their plastic bags are very thin and break easily, so I recommend you bring your own. Also has a clothing section, dishes, kitchen appliances, and more.
So I got up to pay for my groceries only to have my card declined. My paycheck had just been deposited and not showing in my account yet. Super embarrassing but nobody was rude or made me feel bad. They were willing to hold onto the groceries till the next day and I could come back in and just pick them up rather than have to shop all over again. Cashier was very kind. I appreciate the patience. Will always shop fred Meyers.
I love going here for gas, I always have extra off per gallon.
Great place to shop with a great organic selection! I recently really enjoy using the app to save money while Im shopping! I can scan the barcode & download savings direct to my card! Wonderful!
Fresh produce, great meat, free fruit for kiddos, will even watch your kids while you shop. Sometimes a little pricey, but usually have good sales. Kroger generic brand is high quality.
My oldest son & I drove all over town trying to find a little preformed pool for my toddler. We found only one and it seemed pricey. Just before heading home, I decided to stop by Fred Meyer. My last choice should have been my 1st! Not only did Fred Meyer have it, but they had many! I saved almost $6, & as always, the staff is so kind, courteous, and helpful!!!
Very clean. Sale prices can be great. Regular prices are more than Wal-Mart, so check first. Different selections than other places. Decent in store made sushi and deli. Much better shopping feel than the bother chain stores. Staff is friendly.
This is a great all around store. They have a good selection of groceries, household items and clothes. They also have great coupons and weekly specials along with a weekly free item. The staff is always friendly and helpful.
Went to housewares and electronics. Found what we were looking for, despite lack of selection, and it was even on sale. Bonus! Staff was helpful and polite. Very slow business tonight. Storefront could use a facelift as one of the attached shops has its windows all boarded up.
Really great store. Good quality clothing. The grocery side is Kroger, so you have that as well. They even have a kids play area where you can drop off the little ones for a bit (unless it is full, then better luck next time).
Always been a fan of Fred Meyer. The new remodel has really added to the store and given it a much larger feeling even though the actual size hasnt really changed. This is the first time I have actually seen eggs and yogurt as being inside glass cases. Only problem I have had was with their pharmacy as they were constantly out of medication I needed. Finally moved to a different pharmacy.
Fred Meyer is pretty much a Walmart with better quality items, customer service, and no long wait times at the register. Theyre items tend to be a little more expensive than other places, but they will price match at the register without any proof or hassle. It can be a bit of a pain if you have a lot of items that are cheaper elsewhere, but I love that they offer that service at all. Definitely worth the trip even though its not close to where I normally shop.
Convenient location, most of the time it has what I need.
I love FM - missed this place in AK, so glad there is one here in ID. Clean, friendly, well stocked. Great store
Nice store with lots of great products
Hands down, the best sales in town. You can always find something that is an unbelievable price here. The store itself is kind of strange, it reminds me of an airport for some reason, but the prices are to die for. A huge selection of basic, and luxury grocery items. They have everything you need.
Pharmacy is poorly run. Have to wait in line many times. Lady with long black hair needs retraining as she is unaware of the customers needs. Each customer is treated differently making it very frustrating.
I stopped by today looking for Christmas presents. I found an awesome sleeping bag that was originally 79.99, but reduced to 59.99. Awesome deal! When I got to the register, it rang up as 79.99... I told the cashier that the price tag said 59.99, so he got his managers aproval, then fought the computer for almost 5 minutes to get me the right price. I’ve been really impressed by Fred Meyers customer service. They have always done right by me, and my family. What a great asset to our community.
I love this grocery store! The rebates are so much fun especially when wanting snack foods when low on dough. Reward points are great for gas but it was the rebates that had me the most excited since I could use rhem for products as well. The play area is my sons favorite, the employees are always so nice, service is super fast and the store is always clean and inviting.
I had some problems with some boots and had to return them but wanted the same pair. They held the pair (I was in Twin Falls) until I could get them and then gave me the sales price I paid originally even though the sale was over. They also have an awesome jewelers that sold me my wedding ring for a very low price so that I could get the ring I wanted and the free cleanings.
Probably the best place for one-stop shopping if you dont want to go to Walmart. If youre coming from out East then this is the same company as Kroger so you can use your discount card here and at the gas station. Its massive compared to most other groceries in the area and has a whole clothing department as well as departments for general retail items.
Have been quite impressed with many of their grocery prices. Good all around store. Kids love the play area and it’s nice to be able to leave them their safely.
Nothing different that I could see from any other. Shrimp in the fake crab salad was odd. No scallions, no celery. Eh. Ok store. Chase was closed inside the store on a Saturday! Virginia, were not in the big city anymore. :(
Easy and convenient place to shop. Not sure it is the cheapest place to shop but the quality pf groceries (meat, fruits, veggies) are among the best in town. Staff on the floor are willing to help if asked but dont pester you if you dont need them. I enjoy shopping here. Only complaint us the parking spaces are a little on the small side.
Fred Meyer is an establishment that is near and dear to me. This is among the few remaining grocery/department stores left that I grew up with and they have done a great job of keeping the establishment up to date and with modern technologies. The prices are a little higher than the other stores in town but its worth it when only the freshest produce, food, and beverages will do. Their bakery is always stocked with the tastiest doughnuts and they have a full time staff who will make your next birthday party one to remember with custom cakes and pastries.I highly recommend Fred Meyer.
Love this place. Store director is always on the floor or outside helping with carts, shoveling snow, watering plants. The cashiers are pretty awesome also. Kim, Kristi, Tim, Candice are a few of my faves!
I like Fred Myers and their selection of food, their baked goods are great. However I wish that they would address the parking space issue by loosing a few so that it is not in possible to get in a tiny space with a truck or van it frustrates people.
I went in the store and found 4 items I needed. Went to the cash register and was overcharged. The cashier we will call him Paul because that is what his name tag said, told me I had to go to the other side of the store to a customer service desk to get it taken care of. After walking g across the store to the customer service desk I was greeted by a line and o e very obnoxious person running the desk. After waiting in line for over 10 minutes I asked if they could get some help up there. The obnoxious person gets on the phone and tells someone he has a situation. He repeatedly told whoever he was on the phone with that he had a situation. He then looks at me and says you will have to wait at least 5 minutes for me to get help here. At this point I decided I no longer wanted to get refunded what I had been overcharged and wanted a full refund. When someone finally came to help him out he started to berate me further to this other person and when I retaliated again St this he stored off crying. Moral there is dont dish it out if you cant take it. I was refunded what I was owed and another store will get my money. This was not my first negative experience at this store.
I stopped by and grabbed some donuts. i was actually impressed with the quality that they had. i was kind of expecting something like walmart but they were really pretty good.
I love Fred Meyer! This location is in need of updating but I prefer to shop here over every other place in town. Always good deals, well stocked and organized, short check out time!
I deal with severe anxiety sometimes when Im shopping for groceries and I want to thank everyone for the effort to accommodate myself and my uncle. Mental health issues can be challenging to address and it takes courage and sensitivity. We appreciate it.
Great for the travelers. Good to provision up at before Yellowstone. So,so, for locals. Cant count on continuity with the other Kroger store across town.
This location always has what I need. The employees are always willing to help, and offer great customer service. Love the selection of organic products and organic produce. Great in and out store for all needs, from clothing to household purchases.
Clean well stocked store.
Sale prices are good. They have a little bit of everything. The store smelt like cigarettes. Everything was worn down, outdated or rusty. The entrance was out of the way and initially hard to find. Everyone that I saw shopping or working there looked like an ex-convict and/or a sex offender. I may be more willing to shop there if I didnt have kids with me but I basically did a loop and walked out.
Nice store. A little pricey. Clerks could be more friendly.
Love the deli and the produce from Fred Meyer. Clothing options also convenient. Garden section consistently better quality than others in the area. Great customer service.
They have *free* childcare for your little so you can shop in peace. Ive never ever seen anything like that in all the places Ive lived. They have a fabulous selection of produce and they even have clothes, toys, garden supplies and home goods.
I cannot tell you how dissatisfied I am with this store. They have lost a customer for life over their ridiculous customer service and policies are. I will not shop there ever agin.
I used to shop here a LOT. Like 2 or 3 times every week. I used to spend the majority of my local spending right here in this store. They had a few really great employees, but they had some really rude managers, and the store-manager was never willing to correct his assistants. Time after Time I would get apologies from the lower ranking employees for something that one of the department managers had done (their old front-end manager was horrible). I finally decided to just NOT spend my money here anymore since the store manager seems unwilling or unable to solve all the drama that his management team exposes the customers to. I dont get exposed to any of it anymore because I shop elsewhere.
Great store!! Prices are good, people are nice, selection of organic and gluten free is huge!!! Love it!!
Its got a good amount of everything. Great sales. Though its gluten free section is a little lacking.
Awesome store with great deals on food, higher quality apparel and friendly staff. Way better that the Big Blue competitor. My one stop shop.
Nice, clean supermarket with a good selection of items. We we passing through and enjoyed the ready to eat items and the tables they have set up inside. We took some sandwiches, fruits and drinks for the road as well. Clean bathrooms and friendly staff.
Love this store. They have such a great variety of everything. I can always find what I need when I go...plus a little extra..lol
I like Fred Meyers a lot, however, there are products missing in Idaho Falls such as, Camembert cheese, and sherry. Sherry is used in cooking just like marsala wine. Camembert is a staple in my life, just like cream or dry sherry. It is about diet and loving life. Thank you.
I go to Fred Meyers a lot theyre really helpful and the store is pretty friendly. Sometimes I get produce that leaves a little to be desired, it would be better if they marked it down or just got rid of it, because if you pay full price you expect it to be good.
Very good and exciting visit...why just the experience alone was a life changing moment.
Love Fred Meyers ❤
Was going to try their kid play place while I shopped. Well they only take kids 2-kindergarten age. They dont even know why. Im sorry but Im not putting my 3 year old in there and not with my 5 year old. Two crying kids later they dont even know why that is their policy. No wonder I never see kids in there! I feel like they are like oh we just take then at an age where we dont want to go in and where if something weird happens we cant even articulate to our parents about it. I wasnt asking to put my little 18 month in there just the kids that had seen it and were excited about it. Ok you just leave your worker sitting on her butt doing nothing (because Ive never ever seen kids in there) and lose a customer. Good job with your lack of friendliness and customer service Fred Meyer. You lost me as a customer and I will continue to give friends my bad review.
