These guys are awesome! Always there when you need them! I was lazy after last years elk season and didnt clean the surface rust on my rifle after hunting during a blizzard, these guys got it back looking like new in 1 day. Always fair, knowledgeable and great service.

Great selection and outstanding customer service on both the front and the back counter. These are tough times in the firearms industry and many places are taking advantage of it by jacking their prices WAY up. This is NOT one of those places. Prices were outstanding and only slightly elevated compared to pre-pandemic, which can be expected. The gentleman on the front counter was super friendly and very knowledgeable.Overall, an excellent Gun Store and wish it was a little closer to home.

Great place to shop for weapons and ammunition.Mike was extremely knowledgeable about the weapons but also their history. His ability to listen and show customers a wide variety of items in the area that they are looking is great.Even as he is selling he is also teaching those less familiar with weapons the advantages of each not just one brand specific.

I have been buying guns and ammo from Paul for over 30 years now. Its the best place in town to get a fair deal. Sure they are busy and might not get to everyone as fast as some Californians might like but they will get to you and treat you fair.

Ross coin and gun is my go to place. The staff there are super good guys. It can be busy in there from time to time so If you dont get helped right away be patient. My family and I have been doing business with Paul and Reid for over 20 years. They’ve been nothing but fantastic. The addition of Mike to the store was a huge get in my opinion. Jordan is also very pleasant to work with. They are as fair and honest as you can get. I send all of my friends here.

Horrible customer service. My dad went in there to buy a gun and the guy was short and just not helpful. Another guy told me to keep calling everyday due to ammo shortage. Literally have called countless times for two days straight and nobody has answered the phone. I realize times are crazy but come on!!!

The guys here are great, they care and everthing in their power to help thier customers. We will drive the 8hrs to shop in thier store.

Cant remember the gentlemens name that helped us out, older guy white mustache. Super helpful and super nice! Initially went in to look at the Taurus G3, but nowhere around here has any. Ended up getting the Glock 48 with stainless steel slide and night sights. Will always buy all things guns from them from now on for the rest of my life and will recommend them to everyone I know.

I have been in Ross Gun & Coin a number of times and Ive always had a positive experience. The selection is awesome and Reed has always gone above and beyond to answer all of my questions. Prices are competitive with big chains and your money stays local. Whether you are a gun enthusiast, an avid fisherman, or into coin collecting this is a great place.

The older gentleman that works here is an absolute grouch. I think he’s the dad. The only reason it’s 2 instead of one is because the younger guys tried to compensate for the older guy’s attitude

The place is nice and has a good selection but it definitely lacks in customer service in comparison with the other stores in town. Im not saying its bad customer service, it just takes longer for somebody to help you out at this place. Still worth a stop though.

I dont understand all of the other reviewers here. Ive never once been treated bad while visiting Ross Coin and Gun. They have always been very receptive to my needs and have never treated me disrespectfully. I can understand if sometimes they dont get to you right away as they are always busy. Regardless of what other say in these reviews, check them out. They usually have a pretty good selection of firearms (sometimes a little pricier) and they are local which means my money spent there is actually going back into the Idaho Falls economy.

Ross Coin and Gun has always done a great job. Called in this morning, they were prompt on the phone and had exactly what I was looking for in inventory. We’ll be headed in later today to pick it up.

I am in my twenties and look even younger than that - so when I go to gun shops its like the guys dont want to give the time of day. I usually get cut and dry information and minimal help. But when I went to Ross these guys treated me like any other good ol costumer theyve had. My lack of a beard and growling voice didnt phase them! They got me straightened out with the gun I ordered and helped me pick holsters, ammo, and a cleaning kit. It was a fantastic experience to come and be treated as if I was not a snot nosed little kid. Thanks guys, Ill be sending my buddies your way.

A few days ago I went in browsing for a cheap rifle. Stood with my wife at the counter for about 15 mins before we were serviced, despite the fact that there were more employees than clients at the counter. One client in particular garnered the attention of 3 employees. When we did get addressed the younger fellow tried to pitch a sale and suggested we buy two guns. After declining interest, i asked if he had a particular rifle that costs around 375. He said he had none, but plopped a 700 dollar rifle in my hands. After expressing I wasnt interested the fellow literally walked away without further comment. In all the staff seem a bit curt and impatient with those they think arent big spenders or who dont bite when tantalized with a pitch. This is the second visit Ive made, and the second time this has happened. The first time i swallowed my pride, despite my displeasure and purchased the rifle I came in for. This time I left and found the exact rifle i was looking for elsewhere, purchased it that same day, and was treated with far more attention and care, despite the smaller staff. Good selection of ammo, but for my firearms purchases Ill go elsewhere. If i wanted to be ignored and pitched to, Id go to Cabelas.

I bought a used rifle from them. I know that comes with its own risks, so I asked them straight up Does this rifle shoot straight?. They replied yes, we make sure of that. Rifle did not shoot straight. Contacted them about it, not helpful at all. Their inventory is average and prices are decent for the area

I have been there multiple times. Every time I they have given great deals and excellent service. The staff is knowledgeable and wants to get the best gun for you. I highly recommend shopping here, even if you have to go a little out of the way for it.

Went in to trade my px4, they offered me a very fair price for trade. Yes guns seem a little pricey, but I had good help and fair trade in value. That goes a long ways in my book. Also the store is clean and well kept. My family has bought guns here for years and we have always been taken care of.

If youre looking for a demeaning and patronizing experience, look no longer. In the last 20 years they have gotten progressively more and more grumpy. Rosss holds up to their reputation of worst gun store in IF.

Havent been in this store for quite some time. The last time I was in there about 4 years ago, I was really dissapointed in service. Went in this morning, I must have been invisible. One other customer 2 employees, made purchase elsewhere.

Fair, honest and nobody else can beat that. Ive been shopping at Ross for years. I just dont understand the negative reviews. 8 years Ive been going here and not once mistreated. They call me by name and dont care if Im just looking for the day, theyll pull 50 guns for me to look at no matter if I got bills in hand or not. I think others dont appreciate the no kiss ass/no b.s. service. Paul is my personal favorite but Reed, Jordan and the rest are great too.

I purchased a vortex sight got a decent price from them. Thats why they get 2 stars. When they mounted it it was tipped to 1:00 and he scratched it.

Ive gone to Ross several times now and each time Ive had questions. Ive been made to feel stupid for asking those questions. I feel judged from the moment I step into the business. This attitude, however, seems limited to the guys behind the glass in the back of the store, because up front they seem like they want to be helpful (I was asked several times if I needed help finding anything). Because of the people up front Im giving them an extra star. I went into the store looking for expertise and knowledge that I did not have, not to be judged and looked down on. There are other places to go in town and Ill not be back.

I would like to thank Paul at Rosss. My wife and I stopped by to ask questions about purchasing some silver. Paul was more helpful then the two other stores we stopped at. I would recommend any one that would like professional outstanding help stop by Rosss.

They carry a great line of firearms of all categories. Ive traded a number of used rifles with them to upgrade. In each case I have found them to be honest, fair, and upfront. After reading a number of the negative reviews, in my opinion, what frequently happens is that their honesty is mistaken for being rude or uncaring. In my experience, they know their product line and offer great advice. Ive bought a number of firearms from them. Each time they have treated me well.

This place is a total hit and miss. Some days they’re friendly and other days they won’t even acknowledge you. I have a nice collection of firearms and NONE of them have been purchased thru RC&G.

Bought a pistol through this store for a very decent price. However the customer service was enough to drive me away from this business. It almost felt like I was bothering them by shopping there.

Dont know where the negative reviews came from, unless the staff changed or something. When I walked in, i was immediately greeted and offered help. I went in for specialty guns I didnt fully expect them to have (and they didnt), but they immediately offered to order it and for a fair price, too. Im from Western Washington, and I would probably still call these guys first to have a weapon shipped to an FFL near me. Go check it out.

Terrible service! I was looking at a red dot sight on a sig with my father at the counter. My father had the rifle in his arms looking through the red dot sight when an employee reached over the counter and took the sight off and put it on another gun that a different customer he was helping was viewing. This was even after my father told him that he was looking at it, but he didnt seem to care. And this wasnt the first time we received terrible service here, this was the last straw. Ill just go else where to buy my guns and ammo now.

This is where i buy all my guns, ammo, optics, and everything else for my firearm needs! Their prices are always better than everyone elses and if for some reason a particular item is not they always match price. I love their staff. Super friendly and deffinantly know their stuff. They have any gun you would want there. Of course you are able to feel and hold the guns before buying which is one of my favorite parts. Looking at guns online only goes so far. By actually holding it helps me know what one i want to buy. I have never been disapointed by these guys before. Absolutely recommend these guys to everyone!

On a short notice before hosting a BBQ at our home, our gas grill puked out. Jordan at Ross fixed us up with a new Traeger smoker/grill, and since we have had the best grilled meat ever. Good service, good prices and lots of inventory.

They let me try 10 or more guns before I made my choice! The sales guys arent pushy, just helpful!

I use to hate going into Rosss do to customer service... seemed very short. However over the last few years customer service has really flipped salesmen seem to care and have time to answer question. Not to mention I feel they are still the best gun shop in town, and only gun shop that volunteers their time and raffle prizes for the friends of the NRA annual banquet!

This place has a wide verity of things and accessories. But dont go in expecting to ask questions about products or anything else, you will be treated like your interrupting their busy day and feel belittled by the way your question is responded to.

They are not even worth 1 star. WORST gun shop I have ever been to. Horrible customer service. The guys there are very rude and it is a huge inconvenience for them if you ask questions or if you even ask to see multiple guns.

I have purchased at least half a dozen firearms here. Everytime I say I wont go back but unfortunately, this is the only place in town that has the right selection, more specialty arms to choose from, higher end choices. Sportsmans and the other places just dont have the selection of arms, they are more geared for a standard off the shelf customer.So I keep going back, dreading the visit. I find that most of these posts are accurate, however, I think they are good people and maybe just dont realize how arrogant they are. There is an older guy in there now that is much better, actually showed a little give a damn last time I was in. The younger brother isnt as bad as Paul, but still abit over the top. The son, the youngest one, hes a real piece, stay away from him. I purchased a rifle a couple years ago and asked him to mount a scope and he threw it on like it was just a cheap piece of tin and had no idea how to mount, I ened up taking it off myself and remounting.Amazingly as competitve at things are today there are places like this that have no idea how to buil a clientel, if they had a great attitude and an inkling of customer sevice, every other place in town would be gone by now.Summary- if you cant find it elsewhere, then go there, they probably have it, fair prices, but be prepared to be treated like sh.. and get the knowledge you need before you go, dont expect to get any real customer service.

There is lots of reloading equipment to choose from. The store has a great selection of accessories for guns.

Theyve always been fair with me, they actually came down on the tag price on two guns I purchased from them in the past.

I went in looking for a gun for my husband for valentines and no one wanted to help me. I think they thought because i was a women I wouldnt buy anything from them. I decided on a gun by myself with no recommendation. They just had a I dont care about you or your purchase attitude. Never went in there again after that....
