Unlike the old days (the 90s), theres not as many employees wandering the floor, but the store is laid out in a way that is fairly easy to manage on your own. I stopped in to buy a lens for my camera and only had to wait a couple minutes for someone to come get it out of the case and complete my transaction. I chose to buy it there because they had the best price for the lens new outside of ordering it online. I miss the old days when they were a discount store with concrete floors and steel shelves, but the prices are generally good and you can check stock levels via the app before making the drive. Purchasing online for pickup is also very convenient.
The guys and gals at this store are awesome! Got my new phone and everyone.. I mean everyone were so very extremely helpful at this store! The manager was awesome! This store shows true team workouts! Go to this store for your best buy needs..
Good deal for what I wanted. Sadly they told me a A Best Buy recommended item was just a generic... Seems to work great. Company recommended why isnt staff know. I knew as saw I on site before and after visit. Staff was nice and helpful though

Just left the Independence store. 3:20 in the afternoon. Not busy. Many employees standing around not helpful. Not taking the initiative to talk with customers not even speaking. The greeter would rather sip his drink then say hello and goodbye to customers. Stock is terrible, nothing in the store, which is probably not their fault. But customer service is definitely lacking. This is what drives consumers to Amazon. No frills, no fuss, get your package sooner than later.
So I came in thinking the laptops on the shelves would be above my budget. I got to talking to one of the customer service representatives and he mentioned that they had a credit program which I wouldnt qualify for, and he said that they had a leasing option I managed to get a brand new laptop for $27 a a week that is far superior to what I would have gotten anywhere else. Your customer service is great here and their payment options are as well
Went in to buy a monitor. 100% was going to buy one. However, over half of the options that they had for sell were not on display.Personally, I have to see what Im buying into before I buy it. Which is why I didnt buy online.I left and went to a different store in Overland Park and gave them my money.
Online order pickup was quick. Email/app didnt really say exactly where to pickup online order. Customer Service use to be a separate area but now it seems to have changed to Geek Squad. The customer service is now the same as checkout which is odd but if they would have stated that in the email it would have been less confusing to pickup online order...
Extended warranty is a rip off. Been months trying to get them to honest their warranty and I can only get refurbished. So, what is the point of going to best buy? I can go anywhere else and get customer service but with best buy made me feel bad about buying from them. I would recommend going anywhere else and if you do go to Best Buy... do not buy the Extended warranty. Its worthless.... I will be happy to see Best Buy close it doors... their Customer Service Department in the unemployment line is approaching.

Do not buy phones from them. I have spent better part of two days at several stores to find out one store does not have a phone, cant activate my device, or cant add lines. Literally back and forth to at least five different stores. Online availability is incorrect.
I went into Best Buy yesterday to see the Geek Squad to get my iPhone replaced because the back was cracked. Everything was going smoothly other than some technical hiccups which was no fault of the guy I was working with. When I was leaving I asked if I could erase my old phone and the employee told me no and that they didn’t have my passcode so they couldn’t get into it. This made me extremely uncomfortable because all of my personal information was on that phone but I was in a hurry for another appointment so I didn’t make a deal of it. Once I was leaving my next appointment I noticed my phone had no service. I ended up at the T-Mobile store and found out the employee at Best Buy didn’t even activate my phone.
In the last 60 days I purchased two computers from Best buy totally about $2,000. Today I walked into the Best buy at Independence and was looking for a particular item and at least five people employees of Best buy just walk by me and just looked at me at the same time they offered service to five or six other people on my way out the gentleman looked at me and he asked me did I need help Ill explain to him with my circumstances while I was in the store for about 15 minutes or so. Unbelievable! His explanation was were short-handed but he wasnt shorthanded enough to help five other people who didnt look like me I had to say it
Do not buy Total Tech. It misleading and doesnt cover you for total tech as it is describes. Very disappointed

Certified apple repair location. I had a very long wait, past my appointment time. A rude employee said they would get to me when they could if their next apt didnt show. It is not my fault you are too backed up to see me on time, I was there. You should see me in the order of arrival instead of making me wait even longer past my scheduled time. I was getting ready to leave when another, much nicer, young man came over to help me. He single-handedly saved this from being a 2 star review bc he was polite, fast, & knew what he was doing.

I bought a great laptop here, and when it arrived the top row of alphabetical keys didnt work. We took it in to get it fixed and they recommended to do a full exchange. I was okay with this, but they didnt have any more of its kind in the store so they charged me the stores remaining sales tax to get the new one shipped to my house?I am just a bit mad they charged me more to fix a problem that they could have fixed in store by evaluating the computer before exchanging it.The new laptop has arrived and it works great! Very happy with my purchase ☺
Angelia and Antonio at the Independence, MO store are hands down THE BEST on product knowledge and customer service! We bought several items and Angelia walked us through each one without rushing us out the door! Follow up visit with Antonio and he was great too! This best buy Is great, I purchased a display model item that unfortunately did not work. They are setting me up with a brand new one for the same price! Cant say they would do the same for others but I appreciate it alot!

Curbside app wasnt working. Called best buy, recording only, so no help. Had to go in, wait in line and then wait for clerk to find the complete order. 3 items. 35 minutes to get order. Defeated the entire curb service pick up!! Done with you guys!!!!!!!! There are a lot better stores out there and thats where I will be going!!
Overall great services throughout.Friendly staff (as customer service worker, I understand how hard this can be sometimes).We bought a windows surface (open box), and it had frequent software issues,luckily we bought geek squad protection plan(recommend the 2 year plan if you have kids), so the gentlemen gave us a refund(store credit) towards a new laptop.Definitely a great place to buy laptops 💻

Got right in, found what I needed and was able to pay and get out quickly. Many retailers these days have fewer people working checkout and longer lines. Thanks Best Buy for respecting customers time. Not everyone is there to wander.
This Best buy is very limited to the items they have available. Although it is very spacious and offer alot to choose from there are lots of items that they are either out off or just dont carry in this location. It did leave me a little disappointed in the audio department for earphones and headphones. It seems that they are more focused on the name brands and dont carry as much of other popular brands like Skull Candy or JBL. The gaming department was another disappointment. They hardly had any games for either of the major consoles.
Thanks to a customer service rep by the name of Raydiah I would no longer be a Best Buy customer. Her customer service skills and knowledge were excellent. She explained things in such a simple and straightforward way that I was able to completely understand what went wrong with my online order. I would go into details on how the Lees Summit Best Buy and previous customer service reps were clueless on how to fix the issue, that would have to write a book. They made it seem so complicated and unfixable that I became so frustrated that I just could not wrap my mind around the explanations on why couldnt change my order or get a refund. Ill cut this short, the only reason Im still a Best Buy customer is that customer service rep, Raydiah. She got the refund, she found an upgraded system at a cheaper price and a $100 gift card to boot. That old cliche a company is only as good... A big thank you to Raydiah, I can now set up and enjoy my new sound system without waiting an additional 2 to 3 weeks. Thanks again!!!

Saleswoman was helpful and friendly but the phone assortment was disappointing. Only two phones under $200, which were not worth the price. I went to Walmart and found at least 50 different kinds to choose from.
I wasnt aware I needed an appointment for them to look at my gift laptop. I expected to drop it off and pick it up in a week or so.However I did wait out all their appointees and it took less than five minutes for them to determine that the laptop is fine but I lack the proper charger, which they do not sell.Also when I inquired about a computer- to-wireless printer cable (I dont subscribe to wifi or internet), the lad took me to the rack and showed me the $35 cable, when I could clearly see there were $25 options.Dont be thinking because Im 69 y.o. Im also blind and stupid.
We had ordered a tv for the living room, Best Buy contacted us to let us know when it would be available for pick-up. Upon arriving at Best Buy the email instructed us to park in one of the designated parking spots. Within a few minutes of our arrival they were bringing out our TV. Exceptional customer service! I go into best buy to get a screen protector and a new phone case for my S20. They ask what I was shopping for and if I was going to need help. Yes I need help. So I go to that section of the store and wait watch a guy walk in after me and get two people helping him. Myself still nothing so I leave as Im leaving I say thanks for getting me help and the employee goes oo nobody helped you. No they did not and never once did he say lets get u help right now. Why ask if I need help if u dont care or plan on getting me help. It might of only been 100 dollars but it was still a sale.

I was there to return a PS4 controller that we bought months ago. We dont opened since I make a mistake and bought that instead PS5 controller I was there trying to returned before but due covid was only 1 cashier and like 15 customers on line and PS5 controller was out off stock so we go today and the manager on shift make us the day he exchange the PS4 controller for the PS5 controller that we was waiting for Thank you so much !
Made appointment w/Geek squad waited 4 hours didnt show up tried to get refund on phone for an hour, they hung up on me. Went to store finally got money back. Wont be back, I will buy my electronics from Amazon or anyone else. BestBuy doesnt care.DONE
Friendly staff. Though not all of them are knowledgable. Ask if they know anything about a subject before you ask a question about that subject.
They have the best of all electronics and their prices are comparable or better than most places and they have great deals on open box items.

I like to come here, bring my electronic recycling and browse through the electronics and games. This is the place I used to build my own docking area for my laptop, I like seeing what I am buying and enjoy the helpful sales people, and nothing beats getting aomething when you want it.

I had a radio installed there. The installation guy Derek had it done faster than expected and kept the factory reverse camera and steering wheel controls which I was told previously were not going to be able to stay. if you need a radio and need it installed go there. Independence audio sucks.

Best Buy incorporates a two week return policy. I suggest buying your products elsewhere in order to have a reasonable amount of time to get merchandise returned without penalty.
Guy at the cash register didnt listen to us explaining why the dash mount they have wont work on either of the two new Garmin devices we just bought. Even the manager was COMPLETELY CLUELESS...
The staff and folks here are professional and very helpful. They dont overcrowd you with questions and bug you into buying anything. Ive only had one obnoxious encounter with a salesman here at their phone section that wouldnt leave my husband and I alone and tried his damndest to get us to buy some phones. We just wanted to go home. I like the way the store is kept clean and sanitized. Theyre hard on the mask thing because of the virus and take precaution which is appreciated.

Great people here! Very knowledgeable and friendly and always helpful. They will go out of their way to help you get whatever you need. Best of all is price matching. I just pull up the ad on my phone, they confirm it and I get the lower price. Also the prices in the store are the same as online so no worrying about getting a higher price. I love shopping online and picking up in the store. It’s so fast and easy and there generally isn’t much of a line. They are also super good about returns. I like the email receipts so it’s even easier and I don’t lose it. If you’re a reward member they can even look it up online. Oh and no more going to the cell phone store, best prices, best service and they are so much faster!!!

We have tried repeatedly to schedule car stereo installation at this location . We confirmed our appointments only to be turned away on arrival TWICE because they say they were unavailable to do the installations. They then sent us to the airport location... 45 minutes from our house... only to find out that they can only do one of the 2 instals that we need. You cannot talk to the store manager at the independence location because they are not accepting calls right now.
Great service just now buying as new washer. Salesman was very knowledgeable and friendly. Great price, free financing with my best buy card, free delivery and free setup if you buy a new set of hoses from them for a very reasonable price. Best buy is pretty much my go to place for electronics!

As usual, always a pleasent experience going to Best Buy. Plenty of parking, greeted at the door and assistance was readily available by nearby Best Buy Associates. Its clean and I found exactly what I was looking for.My only critique is that the store was not as well stocked as it could have been. The product I went there to buy was the last one, so I got lucky. And there were some additional items I would have bought if they had been available.

How does such a big company get away with not picking up the phone? I called 10 times with not once the phone being picked up. I called right when they opened and waited 30 minutes... still nothing. I called the corporate customer service line, they said I would need to contact the store to discuss my order. I told them they never answer and their only answer was to patch me through which ended up me being on hold again with nobody answering the phone. I wouldve just gone down to the store if I didnt live over 3 hours away. In the end, I wasted a couple hours of my life Ill never get back and just cancelled my order. Terrible service, Best Buy is the next Blockbuster Video. They will be bankrupt in the next 5 years.

They have decent prices on somethings and you can catch good deals depending on what your looking for ? But my main complaint is the help.sure you can blame covid.19, lack of man power ect. But trying to accomplish finding someone to help you or get someone to just answer a question about a products is a chore.

Needed my remote start uninstalled that a different best buy installed 9 months ago. Scheduled the appointment online which was super easy to do. Showed up, have him my info and my keys, and was back in my car within 30 minutes. Super fast, and very polite. Not to mention the associate to helped me was cute AF 😜

We ordered a new refrigerator at the Best Buy store in Independence. We told them ours had quit and we needed a new one asap. They assured us they could get us one delivered and set up in a little over a week and that no other stores could beat that time frame right now. So we patiently waited for the appointment, today, 7am -1pm time frame. its now 5pm.amd they havent shown up. After 3 calls, the first 2 resulting in ”i dont know what to tell you, it says its scheduled” I finally got thru to the one and only Professional sounding person, they bothered to at least call dispatch. I was then told at 1 :30 pm that they were up to 2 hours behind. I thanked them and let them know how unhappy we were with Best Buys total disregard for OUR valuable time that they couldnt be bothered to call and let us know they would be late. They said they would notate my file with this. about an hour later I received a call from dispatch, obviously because I complained. they told me again, they were running up to 2 hours late. The first and 2nd 2 hour time windows have passed and I now want to warn others that once they get you to purchase from them, thats where the customer service ends. Its now 6:45pm, almost 12 hours waiting and no call to cancel or anyhing. They dont care if you actually RECIEVE your item in a timely manner. Better Business Bureau complaint is next.
I had an order that was due to be picked up til after Christmas, but was happy that they had my order ready for pick up yesterday, why the 2 stars because they brought out my kids Christmas gift with out a bag. So my kids saw what they were getting and so did the people around the store inside and out. Its not anyone bussines what I buy, and dont like that my kids saw what they got. I am really disappointed with store. They had bagged my first order.
Long phone answer .... transfer long wait .... couldnt hear so hangupand transfered anyway another long wait so no customer service so no customer i guess your choice needed to repair or purch a tv/monitor !!! you just created a new amazon customer bye buy !!!

Disappointing experience. One price on the shelf and $7.00 more at the cash register. Obviously they did not honor the shelf one, even if it was the same smaller price on two different shelves.
They didnt have anything I needed in stock I tried to sell me on some crazy service program if I wanted to wait and order it and I would do it myself
Wish staff would have been more helpful. One guy said its that way and shot off the opposite. Also some products had no price tags. But what i needed was reasonably price and like the space.
