This place is a mess! At the Independence Walmart Supercenter they suggest people wear mask but NO ONE does. I stopped her to get a certain body scrub. They show it on the website, but it wasn’t in the store. What I did find was probably the epicenter for COVID! This store is filthy! From now on if I want anything from Walmart ( and I doubt i will) I will order it on line.

I found everything I needed, checking out was easy at self checkout, there were no lines, this location was very clean. Pleasant experience this time.

Just left this location after waiting for someone to come to the fitting room for 45 minutes - I spoke to two separate employees Ruth and Donna who did about a total of 10 pages to get someone to the fitting room - there is a line of about six people waiting to try clothes on and the gentleman before me had been waiting 15 minutes prior to me - after my 45 minute wait I decided I couldn’t wait any longer and asked to speak to a manager Who I was told is named Brian I don’t know this for sure because I never got to actually speak to a manager - I did however see Donna attempt multiple times to contact a manager and she got no response for a good 15 minutes at which point I left and bought nothing in my cart - it’s amazing how no other employee has access to a key to open the fitting rooms -Side note: FedEx was also waiting at receiving for 30 minutes and nobody was answering his calls or letting him in - what is actually going on at this location - DO BETTER

This specific Walmart has been my local Walmart throughout my whole life. Have always had friendly employees and must treat their employees right because if they hadnt I wouldnt still see employees there that were there when I was a child... Im 30 years old so thats saying a lot more than it appears...

Im really only at Wal-Mart for figures, or candles but theyve always got a decent spread of both here!

The store is a typical walmart- they actually have more than 1 register open which is nice.

The Auto center isnt good. Dont buy a lifetime balance because you cant schedule an appointment. Appointments are for new tires only. If the techs show up expect an average wait time of 4-6 hours. Anything outside of new tire business Walmart doesnt care about. They wont even change oil if they dont have 3 cars in the bays.

As always it was well stocked and I found everything I came for. This store is always very crowded so if you do not like crowds I wouldnt go here. This store has everything! The employees are helpful and the store is kept clean considering the amount of people that comes through each day. This store is the perfect place for one stop shopping.

If I could give zero stars I would!!!!!!! My mom got my dad a tungsten wedding ring in January for their 41st wedding anniversary, was not offered a warranty, and a couple months ago it broke!! Tungsten is supposed to be very sturdy... apparently not! We went up to try and exchange it for a new one and was told no, and that we should have gotten the warranty! Well if we had been offered one we would have!!!! The management was extremely rude and did nothing to make it right!! I will definitely think twice about ever shopping here again!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD!!!! Shame on you WALMART!!

Walmart is still a great place to shop for all the what- nots you may need. The staff, which are usual friendly enough, to me. Allowing me to get in and out relatively quickly. However, this was not the case on this trip. Their security personnel and staff were unbelievably aggressive. If it has happened to you, then you understand.This got so bad that I left my cart, and supplies for my work week.

I normally love Walmart but this particular one is low on my list. 9 times out of 10 there are no carts waiting by the door. You have to go back out and get one. There is always a hole on the shelf for things I need and are always running out of tons of stuff. If you have more than 25 items get ready for your frozen foods to be thawed out from waiting in line. Its bad.

Well stocked with a huge variety of items from dishes, clothes, medicines and fresh food. They have toys, electronics and sporting goods. Many of the staff is helpful. Midday they close many registers that are all clustered in the center of the store.

Got the stuff I needed. Women working the money center was nice

Weve been calling walmart for 30mins and no one will answer. It rings for so long that it just hangs up eventually because no one is wanting to do their jobs today apparently.

The one on Bolger Rd is the best location near where I live to shop, or go to the Blue Springs location. Bypass the one on 40 hwy completely!

It never ceases to amaze me how rude people can be simply walking through the parking lot I have seen more discussions / yelling contest in one hour take place in this parking lot. I myself am not innocent and participated in a few only after the car behind me went around me and almost hit a expecting mother SMH its almost just like driving/walking through a field full of landmines.

It easy to get in and out but I wish they had more self check out with the role table.

We had been shopping all day and was in a hurry. The lines were short, service was quick, staff was friendly and professional and the food was hot. Great combination and great choice to stop!!

This place is gross...rarely has carts available. Do not feel safe in the parking lot...Walmart needs to clean this place up and pay your workers a living wage...

I went there to get four tires. It should have shown more customer service. And should have been a little bit faster on the work that they did.

I recently purchased a phone case for my phone to be delivered to my home address. I received an email that it had been delivered last Saturday. It had not been, as I was home with my front door open and I have a glass,( floor to ceiling ) outer door. I waited until Tuesday and call to let them know, I had not received it. At that time I was told it was actually from a third party company and they would let them know, I had not received it and a replacement would be sent. Within a couple hours, I received an email from the company ( accessoriesguys.com ) and that it had been delivered. I would need to check with post office. After not reving it the next day, I again called Walmart back, as the email from third party had a dont reply in their email address. I explained yet again my situation and again, Walmart said they had requested that a replacement be sent. A few hours later, I received another email from the company stating, I needed to send the original item back and then they would send out my replacement. They included a shipping label with it. Again no way to reply to the email. Today, I called and after sitting on hold forever, was told that they could not find my order number and was transferred to another person, but was actually just put back in the original que.I will never buy from Walmart online. This is ridiculous that Walmart does not stand up for their customers.

Mark was stocking the area with the room fresheners and he was super kind and helpful. He helped me find the price of an item with his scanner when I couldnt get my app to work. I really appreciated the customer service he provided.

I had to take nerve meds after leaving that place. There were so many people that I will not go there on a Friday or weekend. Its a madhouse.Everywhere I went there were crowds of people,cutting you off, standing in the way, in those small aisles

I bought this bed frame November 2020, I put it up December 2020, it was July 2021 when the whole right side of my bed frame snapped… I called and talked to 4 different people and that I had a 90 day return policy…. This is not putting your customers first or caring about them at all. If you are willing to sell products that break 6 months later you should refund them their money.

Went to the auto care center to get a hole in one of my tires patched or to replace it. The tires were covered by hazard warranty so it should be a free service. The website said the center was open from 7am to 7pm but when I arrived theres a sign on the door that says they are temporarily closed. What is the point in having a warranty if the place that fulfills it is closed? Also, they had updated the hours of the Walmart 8 days ago but couldnt be bothered to say the Auto Center is closed? Typical poor customer service from the Bolger road Walmart.

Groceries, pet foods, delivery online perfect, selection by personal shoppers perfect, delivery to front door perfect. SO VERY VERY CONVENIENT! Lost without them.

Always stocked and the only problem I had was their credit card machine was down and machine would not even except cash. I finally shopped and they came back up but by the time I came out they had closed the store.

All the Halloween items are out and displayed for the upcoming holiday. Lots of choices to choose from including outdoor and interior decorations, costumes, and baking decorations for those yummy halloween treats.

I was here strictly for door dash pickup. Went smooth. Nice and courteous employee.

The shelves were unstocked, pallets of merchandise in the walk ways in the middle of the business day making moving through the store stressful. Workers were unhelpful and abrasive attitudes. Had a customer service manager literally look me up and down before responding with a curt attitude because I had worked a 12 hour shift and was in my work clothes. Completely unprofessional attitudes, unprofessional upkeep of the store and what I felt was elitist profiling from an managment employee who clearly has prejudicial leanings. After this trip Target now has a prospective new customer. Will not return to ANY KC or suburb Walmart again since this was not the first location to exhibit these attitudes and traits.

It was ok. They normally have everything I need & more but the reasons I dont go there all the time is because its too crowded. Id rather grocery shop in a store Im more comfortable in; not as many people, wider aisles, more selection of food choices. But other than that, they really do have everything there.

I find the Wal-Mart Supercenter on 39th Street in Independence well stocked and the staff are friendly and helpful. The overall store is clean and I can shop with ease. I drive from Kansas City to shop at this particular Wal-Mart and it is worth every mile I drive. Thxs Walmart!

I love it! They are making sure everyone have on mask before going into the store.

Walmart should be ashamed of themselves.But they won’t be. Because that’s who they are.The place is packed and pretty much no one besides employees are wearing masks.And there’s only about 10 check out lanes open so everyone is standing 4-6 families deep waiting to check out.

This store is always a mess. And always out of a lot of things. Especially if you go on the weekends. Youre better off in Blue Springs. Much better.

Food was good. Only thing I didnt like was I froze. Way to cold in there.

Some of the customers love to haze my service dog since she is in training and is not used to her shoes yet also people park in the fire lane and are inconsiderate and some of the customers dont watch where they are going and none of the employees seem to care

Very Very poor costumer service from the bakery lady. My sister tried ordering a cake for her son, my nephew. Was on hold for 44 minutes and the lady had the audacity to say, “some people are so needy” sorry she wants to make a soon to be 4 year olds birthday special! Absolutely absurd. Will never go to that Walmart for anything again.

Wal-Mart can afford it. Hopefully your stocking situation gets better. Tons of product boxes but bo one putting it out! Pet isles were pretty empty waiting to be restocked. Please take better care of your employees! Thats how you get employee retention AnD smiling employees!! 😃

Dont usually have any trouble at this Walmart. Its definitely a preferred location over other nearby Walmarts for safety reasons.

The store was clean & stocked. There werent any long lines like the stores in St. Louis!! They had really good deals & clearance stuff was marked. I love going to Walmart out of town...its like a breath of fresh air.

Becky in housewares is awesome. She really made me feel like my business was appreciated. Outstanding customer service Becky in housewares. However I really wanted to buy a watch battery and couldn’t get anybody over there to do it for me to give me any customer service but Becky was outstanding.

Everyone is helpful at this location, plus this is a huge store. If you can find it here you dont need it.

So tired of them putting stuff in the aisles so you cant get a cart through without walking halfway across the store. Plus almost every single woman working on the night closing shift is always in a foul mood and acts like you are inconveniencing them that your even there! Absolutely ridiculous.

You have to scan and bag everything yourself. This creates a longer waiting time in lines which in turn is less money for Walmart. Walmart is becoming lazier and lazier. Soon robots will be ringing that annoying bell and pestering customers for donations.

Just like any other Walmart, no extra friendly service but no one was rude either. Has almost everything I need when I go shopping so no need to stop at multiple stores.

I have tried the Walmart grocery pickup 3 times in the past couple weeks at this location. It is easier then taking 3 toddlers in the store. I check in before I head over and finish checking in when I arrive. They are out with my groceries within 3-5 mins. Kaylee is amazing in this department! This department is definitely a stress saver!!!

I dont like coming to this one. Its congested. They pack all kind of stuff in a tiny aisle. I dont like when you need something in electronics they have to hunt down the key. I can understand and respect security. Its the attitude of coworkers and how they talk to one another. Hello Im a customer. Hello if you had the key dont have an attitude when they want it back like someone is bothering you. I love Blue Spring location. Even the pharmacy has a bad attitude management makes excuses. There is no excuse for bad attitude. I changed pharmacy CVS on Nolan so much better.

Called and asked for a manager very politely. The Male that answered as the store operator is very rude and seemed bothered that I asked for a manager. I was transferred to a lady that said, this is the manager. I asked her again whats your title, and she hesitated and said department lead. So i asked again, are you a manager or a department lead and she said department lead to which i said, but you just answered the phone representing yourself as Manager . Then she tried to correct herself saying something that didnt make any sense, like she was trying to confuse me. Really seems like this Walmart is struggling to stay afloat by hiring people that are rude, uneducated and have no customer service skills whatsoever!!

Apparently the workers think it is fine to waste more time then necessary checking a receipt. When people clearly made their purchase. Dont shop here til their workers get better training! Horrible customer service especially knowing this day and ages climate.

I was with a friend and we used a self-checkout the other day during the Christmas shopping rush, and I left feeling insulted and am now reluctant to return. My friend scanned her items. She had trouble scanning some sheets, so I reached over and scanned it. I heard a beep. She paid while I grabbed the bags. We were in a hurry, and it was insanely hectic in the store.We were in the entrance, me by the carts while she grabbed two sodas from the pop machines.The next thing I knew, a woman was in front of me saying you need to come with me. I must have looked at her crazy because she then explained that she worked for Walmart (she had plain clothes), and that there was a problem with the scan of the sheets. I misunderstood, because usually the register catches those before you pay. I told her that I was just holding the bags, and that I didnt buy anything. I pulled the sheets from the bag, and held them up. She asked for the receipt. I reiterated the fact that I hadnt made a purchase. She took them, and insisted that I come with her! I again pointed to my friend, said that I didnt purchase anything and told her, Im not going anywhere! She took the sheets and rudely walked away.I just dont understand her behavior. If the sheets didnt scan, and she got them back, why on Earth would she need ME to go with her? Yet, she never said a word to my friend who said she must not have grabbed her receipt.

I noticed prices went up. Couldnt find all I was looking for The color of furniture I want should restocked more often (Gray Woodgrain). Mens clothing is very disorganized, and again out of stock. Same with shoes. Found everything else all right. WISH IT WAS OPEN 24 HOURS!

Suggesting more electric wheel chair carts. If they are costly then regular ones for back up. More benches or seating in store. Elderly or disabled cant enjoy shopping
