I dont want to give a complete one star to the store based on one employees performance (but you are responsible for your staff). The kid with glasses in the technology department should not be there. He has no clue what hes talking about and blows off customers. I asked him one question and he pointed me to three different aisles that were completely wrong. I stood there patiently waiting as other customers (who he blew off as well) were asking me about phone chargers.

I went to this Target tonight, busy saturday, and all 18 of the actual checkouts were closed with only self checkout open. This is completely unacceptable. I am partially disabled and have a hard time reaching the screen for the self checkout which is why I expect stores (especially one as prominent as Target) to have AT LEAST ONE checkout open. Even Walmart with worse service keeps at least one or two open. So basically yall have eliminated actual customer service for greed while still charging higher prices and eliminating peoples jobs. I am partially disabled and am shocked yall expect me to do YOUR JOB. Next youll have customers stocking shelves and pushing carts out of the parking lot.

Lady working front went out of way to help wife and I very good prices we have been coming to this place for years now and wouldn’t go anywhere else when it comes to basic groceries and household items we moved here from Denver Colorado and I have got very well acquainted with target for our shopping !!

I went to this target today and I can honestly say it was fantastic! They where fully stocked in everything I needed! The staff where friendly and help us with finding things! If you need a trustworthy Target this is the one!

Went to blue springs . Didnt have size I needed in toddler shoes. Independence did♡

Target is always clean and the staff is pleasant. Prices are comparable to similar retailers and I think they have a cut above in quality.

I really REALLY hope this Target becomes a super target. Nothing is on the other side of it. I love target. But I drive 15/20 minutes to Lee’s summit for the super target. This one just doesn’t have NEARLY as much and or even close. I wish it was a super target.Update: ITS NOT BECOMING ONE

This Target baby registry welcome gift was awesome and in stock!! The customer service women was really friendly!! If you havent gotten a baby registry welcome gift from Target before you definitely should!!

Curbside was so smooth. The young lady that brought my item was polite and very helpful. She was apologetic when she realized she forgot my totes and went right in to get them. Nice experience!

The past two times Ive been here loss prevention has followed me out to my car making me feel incredibly uncomfortable and awkward. I will be spending my money elsewhere.

I was told Im only allowed to use 1 coupon per transaction per day. I was humiliated in front of a busy store!! It was the balding older man who was the door greeter tonight as I was going through self checkout; then I went to a cashier to finish and he made it a point to humiliate me again over legitimate coupons to prove his point and held up another line!!

I visited this store years ago, I made the choice then, to never return if I was able. The store did not have very many options.

My first experience with Target curbside pickup was awesome! Everything I ordered was in stock. Target knew I was in the parking lot before I even told them! Speedy.

Clean, organized, and well stocked location.I usually go out of my way an extra 20 minutes to this location, as the location by me is so picked over and low stock on many items.Also, my cashier Maya was amazing. She double bagged some fragile items I had purchased and she even put my small bags into a larger bag so I wouldnt have to carry so many bags to my car. Big shout out to Maya, she is awesome....keep up the great work!

Worst target in the metro. More employees collecting carts than employees actually working in the store. Takes 15 minutes to get help at customer service to tell me that I cant make an exchange on something I bought yesterday, which Ive done at countless targets in the kc metro. I will not be back and you shouldnt waste your time going out of your way to get to this abomination of a store.

Pickup (drive up) was super convenient, quick, and easy to do. The person who brought my items out was friendly and efficient.

Mike the cashier is very friendly! This target has a pretty good variety of plant based foods, which is why I go there.

The employees are very helpful and kind, they always offer to be sure you find every thing. The lady her checked us out was delightful and kind.

Some aisles seem uncharacteristically empty but clean and taking the county health order seriously. I feel safe shopping there.

Hunter, I called this morning looking for an item and was transferred to his department which was in Home improvement not toys. I gave him the item I was looking for and said that it might be on the truck that was being unloaded since it was not in its location on the sales floor, he went and looked but couldnt find it and said call back in 45 minutes or so and he would check again. 1 hour later I went to the store which is right around the corner and found Hunter and asked him was he able to find it and to my surprise he had 3 of the items waiting for me at customer service. I thanked him and he said youre welcome. He truly went above and beyond.

I am retired and had only planned to work during the Christmas holidays. I enjoyed my time so much more than I thought I would, so when asked to stay I said, Yes, thank you! The reason I choose Target was to get a employee discount for Holiday savings and my daughter loves their clothes plus lots of the other stuff they have.Prior to retirement I had worked in senior management with a large & amazing Federal contracted Insurance Company and I believe those many years of experience gives me the right & ability to complement Target on so many levels. However, for you my friends & neighbors I will simply say..Welcome to Target, I know you will enjoy your shopping experience. And by the way, do you have a Target Red Card? Great products, prices, very clean store.I havent had a bad experience at this store since it opened in the early 2000s. Its easy to walk all the aisles looking for new stuff, or even for a quick in and out trip.My only complaint is there arent enough cashiers and they rely way too heavily on the self check lanes.

Good service. I like the new order and pick up service at Target.

Over all experience with target is awesome. Stores are always clean, well stocked and very courteous and helpful staff. The online ease of shopping and picking up stuff is wonderful.

So on September 20th 2019 I had a interview and I went to Target in Independence Missouri well when I arrived at the Target I arrived at 9:45 my interview was at 10:30 it said in my e-mail to go to the guest service desk and let them know that Im there for my interview well when I arrived at the guest service desk no one was there I seen a heavy set white guy close by and I told him who I was and what I was there for I told him what time I enter view was he looked at his watch and said oh youre early Ill let them know when it gets closer to your time not normally when you arrive somewhere early they let them know that you are there especially if its for interview that makes you look good like okay that individual showed up early for the interview they must really want the job so it kind of upset me the way that he treated me and the way that his customer service skills were I therefore called human resource while I was walking around there Target store I talk to a manager and he told me to have a seat in there will be with me I I sat and I waited and eventually a manager came out he introduced himself to me he shook my hand and he proceeded to tell me that I was not a good fit for Target. Let me remind you that when I walked into Target I see no one of color I see not a minority insight they was all Caucasian individuals so basically when he came out of he even see my skin color he told me that I was not a good fit for Target Target is racist Target discriminated against me and therefore I will never ever shop at that Target I have nothing against other targets because I love them but that Target in Independence if you are of color I would never shop there I would never go there I would not give them a green dollar of mine that has my colored fingers on it and for him to treat me the way that they did didnt even give me a chance you dont know me and my customer service skills are excellent that is why I proceeded on to my next job interview down the street and I got that job making way more money and were more hours and what the target was offering me.

This target feels bigger than other ones which is strange because it didn’t have a Starbucks in it. They put the electronics section right at the front! That was new.

Stopped in there Saturday afternoon and there were a few customers in there. I got the things I needed and went to check out. They had one lane open and literally 20 people lined up waiting. I know because I counted them. I didnt have anything else better to do. The self check out lanes were all being used with a line of 13 waiting for one to open up. Finally this gal opened up another register but by that time more people had lined up to check out. Now theres 16 people in each lane, 17 waiting at the self check out. I waited for a couple of minutes thinking they would open up another lane but they didnt. I just left my cart on the floor and walked out. This isnt the first time they refuse to open check out lanes and not the first time I got disgusted and left, but it will be the last.

There is usually a good selection at decent prices. The new Target Circle program seems decent. I havent paid much attention to it and have earned some cash back!

Everyone was very friendly and my cashier at checked was super nice and helpful with my questions about the app. The customer service desk lady was also very friendly.

Seriously love Target. Especially in these crazy times, they have kept their stores clean and as well stocked as possible while still maintaining a calm shopping experience.

Just wanted to say that Scott was an immense help today. He went above and beyond to help me find a specific toy and his attitude in helping was fabulous not just with me but with each customer he encountered. Its a crazy time of the year and he displayed excellent customer service and was a gigantic help! Thanks Scott! He helped find a very special toy for a little girl, a unicorn surprise that showed it was in store online but was not in the aisle. He helped find it in the back, like I said above and beyond!

Not the greatest experience with staff members and the variety doesn’t compare to any other targets near by but still target has good quality items.

Employees are always smiling and friendly when I shop here. They also respected my gender identity and affirmed me multiple times. Such a great atmosphere and shopping experience. Wish I could work here.

The app is easy to use, the order is always complete & correct, and I am disabled so having a drive up service is really convenient for me especially when I am sick and my doctor doesnt want me out in public. The people who bring out the orders are always really kind and helpful. They load my car instead of just getting my signature and going back into the store.

Called to see if an item was in stock and told it was. I drove 20 minutes to go get item and it was not there. The person i spoke with told me next time ask us to go hold it like somehow asking if its there doesnt get you the correct answer. 40 minutes wasted and they offered nothing but blame on me for not using the magic wording. Thanks Target.

Too much time looking for a tv when half didn’t have prices posted and then when I finally did find the one I wanted to get (actually priced) was told it’s out of stock. No sign stating so. Next 3 TVs I was going to get instead also out of stock. Ridiculous Why waste so much of my time?

I am only giving 3 stars because I hate the new self checkout. The stupid machine keeps on telling me remove the item or unexpected item from the bag. I kept on taking out and putting it back in the bag as the machine told me to do, but nothing. The stupid machine kept on telling me to remove the item regardless of the team members help. She couldnt even figure it out herself. So, I cancelled the item and started scanning again. Well, when I got to the avocado I was told she has to scan the avocado in the regular register. What the heck is the purpose of the self checkout if the stupid computer cant figure things out and cant scan a produce? It is more problematic than convenience. So, because of that my rating for target went down.

This place is turning into Walmart. 18 check out lanes, and they have one open. God forbid you pay a couple other people so that customers don’t have to wait in line for 25 minutes.

I was disappointed i ordered halloween costumes for my kids as a group of The Incredibles but they sent me the wrong size!!I bought these costumes during target Sale.Everything was back to normal price but since it was totally not my fault i dont wanna buy diff costume paying much higher than i paid. Youre people were the one who made mistake sending me the wrong size.They could have at least offer me to pick a costume with the same original price like the one i bought but nope!! They didnt care!It was a mistake to shop at TargetIt ruin my kids theme costume and my budget!!

Very impressed with the quality of the carts at this establishment. Alignment was as it should be and the ease of pushing was unprecedented. Greatly improved the shopping experience.

I did not get the savings expected and advertised. The system did not subtract the complete amount of the coupon I used and I overpaid by $5. I went to guest services and the clerk was not helpful and acted annoyed that he had to try to figure out the receipt. He made a guess and sent me on. I felt dismissed! I wanted to return all items but I had already been in the store 30 min longer than I had time for.

Dear Target, I want to SARCASTICALLY thank you for hiring staff that aren’t of color (aka White) that are assumptive and believe customers of color (like myself) are stealing. As I was finishing my purchase at the self-checkout, at 7:30 pm this evening your cashier assumed I was placing items in my purse and came up behind me loudly yelling, “Hey guys” and proceeded to place plastic bags on top of the bag that had my item in it. She decided to stand there and watch me, failing to realize my RED card was already in the machine processing the payment. If i would’ve caught the girl’s name, I would share that too, but it’s fine, because i spoke with Jessica, a Trainer, prior to exiting the Target in Independence, MO. She reassured me something would be said to the cashier, but didn’t care to ask me which cashier it was, so I’m not sure if she’s even able to tell the person that acted so ignorantly and blantantly profiling that she was in the wrong and have possibly lost a customer, if not more.

Pretty clean. Well stocked and organized. Older worker offered help looking for things. This location has some produce and other foods. Target = a marginally better and more expensive Walmart.

Clean and well organized store however on this visit only a three. Ap showed item i needed as in stock. It wasnt. Could find no one on floor to ask. Went to customer service and line was moving slowly and I didnt have time to wait.

I just love this place. Clothes are really nice for any age and gender and they have anything you need for your home/life including groceries.

As I am new to the area I did not know how to get to my next destination. She took the time to step outside and point me in the right direction. She is the face I will associate with Target from now on and this will be my new Target store from now on. Kudos Erin. I had a good experience for the first time ordering online and picking up something at this store. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Went in for a case exchange due to having the wrong color case sent to my son and rather the say okay we see they sent you the wrong color Denzel there highest manager call a customer service number and refuse to make right what was done wrong to the customer. He said he would have mark one case as defective and he didnt want to do that. This was my customer service experience.
