I went in to vision works looking for a new pair of glasses for the first time on my own! and I was greeted by Bethany and everybody up front of the store. They were eager to help me and Bethany walked me through the process and also helped find deals under my insurance and was kind and helpful through every step. A great experience and you can tell her and the staff love their job!

I absolutely love this location for all of my daughters vision needs. They provide her with glasses, contacts, accessories and information to help keep her organized. Doctor Gregory Mackey is very thorough in his eye exams and Bethany is his right hand. I love her because she makes the entire process of ordering glasses and contacts a breeze.

My family and I have been using this store for several years and have been happy since. My last visit, yet again, was seemless. I was greeted by everyone that works there as I walk in and was taken through the process right away. Dr Mackey made sure that he had shown me every lenses that I could possibly use without rushing through the process of eye exam. When the exam was done I was shown the frames rack so I can choose what I want and right away Bethany was there to help me. She made sure that they are there to help me out and made a few suggestions so I could fell comfortable and not rush. My visit was a Monday at 11:20 a.m. I was in and out in no time and the whole process was a breeze.

I was not satisfied with the customer service. Staff did not take time to help my wife or myself to insure proper fit when we picked up our glasses. Very un professional and judgemental as to who they want to help. On one visit I witnessed a larger woman of color get ignored and she eventually left without making a purchase. Only 2 people who were working on the 3 occasions I was there seemed to care and take time to care for my needs. I wont do business there and would NEVER recommend anyone to them.

My lenses developed cracks which were not due to rough handling or heat exposure. The staff was unwilling to discuss a remedy to the situation, other than sell me a new pair + requiring a new eye exam.After reading the volume of complaints made to Visionworks and the Better Business Bureau, I decided to try again. The store is under new management and the lenses are being replaced. What a difference new management makes!

If you can avoid this place at all cost. Id give them a big fat zero if I could. Ive been trying for weeks to get my contact prescriptions released. Ive called and talked to 3 different employees and still have yet to get my prescription. My corrective lenses are on my DL so its important that I have them. Now the automated system wont connect me to the store. I am beyond frustrated with this place. Never doing business with them again.

This whole company is a ripe off. They over charge for products, cant deliver and give you a run around. When you call the store, you get transferred to customer service who cant do anything but lie and send messages that dont get answered. Please do yourself a favor and take your business to another company that wants to provide a service!

If I could give this place a zero I would. I ordered my glasses on June 25. Still do not have them. First time the glasses did not line up so they had to readjust. Second time the lady cracked the frames tightening them up. Still waiting for the call that they are in. JUNE 25th. Today is AUGUST 12! Where are my glasses????

Honestly, if you can avoid it, Please do. Was given wrong glass prescription I went back to correct them, left the glasses with the store associate who placed an order for the correct glasses. Called 16 days and apparently the order was not placed. So now Im more than a month without glasses. To add to that, I called saying the glasses I got from them was giving me daily headaches, but they could not fit me in for the prescription correction until after a month. Definitely won’t be going here for my next contacts/glasses

So when I went to get my eye exam they took me back quickly for my very thorough eye exam. Then I sat down at a desk to wait to tell them what type of lenses we sat for a few minutes as it was busy. Then a man named Brian Y. came over to help me and even though he had several things going on he made me feel like I was the only customer there. He explained everything and led me to what size glasses I needed. He was very professional. When my glasses came Brian Y. is the one who helped me and he was very nice. I would definitely refer Visionworks to anyone. My husband said that he would go there when he needs his next pair of glasses. My glasses fit great and it’s amazing to me the difference my glasses made. I felt like I was seeing everything for the first time.

So disorganized and you have to watch it when it comes to paying. They will tact things on to your bill that you didnt even ask for. They first tried it with me and then my husband. Luckily Ive been wearing glasses long enough to know, but this was my husbands first time. They were trying to get him to pay $180 out of pocket with insurance when it was really only $45. Also, they cant get scheduling right i showed up for an appointment and was told they didnt have a doctor there. Ive been trying to get my boxes of contacts since October 20th.

Horrible customer service. Never seen such rude people. Was given wrong contact prescription and now have to wait 2 weeks for correct ones. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told they do not have one. Definitely won’t be going here for my next contacts/glasses.

I broke my glasses today. I panicked and called vision works because I had used them years ago. The general manager said they did not have any availabilities today but she would call me if any came up. At 4pm they called. I get there, get seen by the doctor only to find out they did not take my insurance. I was like OMG. The general manager said dont worry we will take care of you. Mind you I got a eye and contact exam. She only charged me 49.00. I told her she was my angel today. Great experience. Only I wish I would remember her name.

Went in to the store as I was having trouble seeing out of my new glasses. Right away they figured out what was going on with them. Rachael & Fontana were great! I also had contacts to pick up as well. I love getting those two when I go in. They’re both courteous, care about what I need & take care of me so I can be on my way. Dr. Crowley is awesome too! This place is a joke. They over tightened my lenses and caused them to crack and then tell me that they will not fix it. And the corporate hotline just puts you on hold and hangs up. Don’t waste your money!

If I could give ZERO stars I would. My appointment started out with having to fill out all of the new patient paperwork EVEN THOUGH I’ve been there several times before. When I asked why I was filling out paperwork the lady said you have to fill them out every time. Ok. Well I get back to the eye exam and they didn’t tell me one part of it cost extra. (Until I went to pay) then the doctor asked if I had a problem with my eyes and asked why I was there. It took them 10 minutes to find out that I was already a patient there. After my exam I picked out my frames and was told by the rude associate that my insurance didn’t cover the lenses (even though they do). I ended up walking out without glasses and had to pay extra for the exam I wasn’t told about. I will never come back here. This place is trash.

Very helpful, professional, polite staff and doctors, very clean store. Everything wiped down & sterilized very thoroughly immediately prior to my use (and I suspect between uses as well), so absolutely no problems there. Very busy store (at least as far as I have seen!).

Horrible and misleading I purchase glasses are within two weeks I was charged $280 and I have insurance I was told my left lens would be shaved down and I had to pay extra for that I didnt ask for no glare ...The lady that help just was just ready to my card info and nothing else then told me for two pair glasses was 850 took one pair and it 280.00 why oh its the type of lense you have00..I pick my glasses up this Saturday on 10/3 and the young lady tells me they dont shave the lense here very she was very rude and was a type of lense I have they cant do it anyway seriously

These people were very helpful and took good care of my son. They noticed that he was special and explained how the test worked and what he needed to do very professionally. The doctor was very good with my son and told me his eye sight has improved since last appt last year.

Ive been coming here for at least 5 years. I just had my annual exam and noticed this location has been really working hard to make some positive changes. This year my whole experience ran like a well oiled ship. Quick service with attention to detail. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Would highly recommend them! Will be back for sure.

Chris was fantastic to work with when I selected two pair of glasses. He was helpful and offered suggestions when selecting the right frame for my face shape. He also took his time and explained every option for my lenses in great detail so that I knew what I was selecting. Everyone that works at the Independence location are always so friendly and make an effort to remember my name when I come in to the location whether it’s to purchase new glasses, eyeglass cleaner or just to have my glasses adjusted.

Chris D was really helpful. The staff here did great with helping my daughter get her first set of glasses. I’m glad I gave them another chance had a bad experience with my other daughter but I can tell they have really taken the time to make a change with the staff. We will be back!!

I would give it a zero if I could. I have a prescription and just needed to have glasses made. They closed the door 20 minutes early. The young lady that told me that they were closed was rude beyond belief! She said to make an appointment, and I said, Not with your attitude. I walked away but not before the friend I went with witnessed her flipping me the bird.

Dr Elizabeth Crowley did a fantastic job. My vision had changed some and she not only prescribed what I needed to see better, she explained why I need more light now to see, why I see floaters, and how my eyes are aging. Great job! I will be back to see her and the fine crew in the front area.

I was treated poorly. Staff refused to call my insurance to verify coverage claiming they were closed when they were not. They also told me I was wrong multiple times which really turned me off. The doctors in the office are great and that is why I still go there. It is just too bad you have to deal with others other than the doctors. Avoid this place if you can.

So, it started last November when I bought my first pair of glasses. Loved them and spent what I consider a good chunk of change. The service was great and enjoyed every minute of it. Fast forward to last Saturday 7/6 my wife took my back to get sunglasses for birthday. Again, great experience. Then Monday morning 7/8 I wake up get ready for work and I am rushing around my house looking for my glasses (from Nov). Look all over and then my dog had them in his mouth and they were destroyed. I couldnt believe it. Called the store and talked to Rachel and she said they dont have the pair there but did quote me a price. She even called me back and said the found a pair at a different location and can have them there. Again, awesome service. I told her to wait till I came in that evening. I show up and a lady Fontana D. helps me out. I tell her I want to look at less expensive glasses. She shows me around and helps. Always nice the whole time. I tell her I will take the other brand and I dont know if she could tell if I was upset that I wasnt getting me original pair or what. But, she quotes me a deal I could not pass up on for the original pair. I have never been so happy with a company as I am with VisionWorks. You really did make my day and my wife and I will always be coming back. GREAT TEAM AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.

The customer service was amazing. I completely lost my glasses and my insurance company was closed for verification, Fontana made sure I was completely taken care of. Wether or not my insurance covers future visits, I will be going back. It was worth it. The guy that said the staff was clueless obviously went to another location or business entirely because everyone I dealt with was on point. 👍Edit: I said the service was amazing and I gave it 5 stars. Im not sure what all these negative reviews are for, honestly. We came here, admittedly, as a last resort because of the reviews that came before my own, but the experience was honestly wonderful. I needed an emergency appointment because a bad storm stole my glasses off my face and I needed the replacements immediately. They did try to up-sell me (because they are partly retail, obviously) but never got defensive or disrespectful when I declined.The exam itself was very fluid and informative. Ive had glasses since 3rd grade and this is the first time anyone has ever told me I have astigmatism. The doctor (Dr. Crowley) answered my questions and helped me find a solution that I was comfortable with.Katherine and Patrick (the two non-doctors who helped us out) both did a great deal to keep us from having to wait, stayed within my price range, and Patrick even worked on his day off to help me out.I recommend this location. Ask for Doctor Crowley and Katherine.

I scheduled my children and Is eye exams a week in advanc . They waited until the day before(a saturday) to try and verify one of our insurances. Insurance is closed on Saturdays. They verify it the monday after, and reschedule our appointment . I get a text saying my 2 appointments start at 415. I thought that was weird but probably just forgot my number on one of the apts. Nope. I arrive and they only have ONE scheduled, and only could get one more in. Completely unprofessional and not even close to helpfu . 🤬

The exam was good but the people helping you are lacking something. They hurry you threw everything like your taking up their time. I got 2 pairs of glasses and when tried then on he said turn your head so I can see how they fit while he never even looked at the me and how they fit. He keep cleaning the doors off my other lenses. I got a trial pair of contacts and no one had me try them to make sure I could even get then my eyes. Very disappointed. Next year I will take my money and insurance and go some place else. The customer service is very low standard. Lenscrafters treated me better last year.

I just picked up new glasses and I am honestly delighted! Not only does Visionworks have a fantastic selection of lens choices, they did a perfect job of getting my rather complicated bi/tri-lenses correct! I have gone to other lens stores attached to large Eye doc centers and have not had as good of luck getting my lenses done correctly as Visionworks did! No joke, folks! The staff that works the store gets a five star rating right along with the fine selection of any type of lens you want! If you have not checked them out recently, you must do so!Two days later....Just for the record...this is a new staff I understand, and they do a super job. I do not give kuddos unless It is deserved. I just went back and got myself another pair as I was so pleased with my first experience recently. :)

STAY AWAY!!!Absolutely biggest bunch of crooks I have seen!I will never get the 5 HOURS of my life back! First I was hot on several times by two female employees in front of my wife. Then after I told them I do not want prescription in my left eye due to being completely blind they still tried to put one in that eye and charge me for it. I brought my own new frames and only technically needed one lens and they still charge $461.00 with insurance!!!! Then when asked WHY I was paying so much with insurance they stumbled all over them selves. Then The GM Manager calls and he is just as clueless as the rest of his staff. The GM asked me to come back in and buy my glasses there. What a joke! CLOSE THIS LOCATION DOWN!

After 4 visits, 2 eye exams, and 2 pairs of glasses, I still dont have a pair of glasses that are right. After my first eye exam and purchase of glasses (which were not cheap), it was apparent the prescription was off as it was hard to focus and I was seeing double. I went back in and had a second eye exam, by a different doctor, had a new pair of lenses put in my glasses, and still Im seeing double. Will be going back and asking for my money back. Do not risk this place.EDIT: After a third eye exam, this time with a doctor who actually knew what she was doing, I finally have a pair of glasses that are the correct prescription. Only took a dozen visits over a 3 week period.... Will give 2 star for finally fixing the problem, but still would never recommend.

I thought my past 4 experiences were excellent. I was in and out less than 30 mins all 4 times WITH an appointment of course. Highly recommended! I love my glasses that didnt cost me anything and contacts that costed a total of $14.39 for a years supply! My insurance is $6 bucks a month. Glad they chose this place! lol

Be prepared to spend 2 hours or more here. They are always behind which doesnt work well when your a working mom with kids. The first time I was here the doctor never showed so I was rescheduled to the next day and still 30 minutes behind at 9 in the morning. My second experience was an hour past my appt before they ever got me in. Friendly staff but just seem unorganized. I prefer lenscrafters where I had always gone before but they no longer accept my insurance which is the only reason I come to this place.

No star here! Worst product I have ever had. I got transition lenses and they have cracked.. I was asked if they have been in extreme heat? Well they have been on my face because I have to wear them so nothing to extreme. I was told they were not covered. From now on I will take my business else where where they warrenty there products for the full year. Which the manager said they were trash and that I could take my business else where! Worst customer service ever!

This is the second time we have purchased glasses from this store. This time we purchased three pair of no line trifocals. We are very pleazed with all three pair. We have had great customer service, and recieved the glasses within the timeframe promised. They even spent the time to correctly fit a pair of glasses thzt I didnt purchase from vision works.
