This place exists in an optical illusion. From the outside, one would never imagine the incredible amount of merchandise that exists on inside. So many twists and turns, so rooms that lead into other rooms. Thereβs tons of vendors selling a wide variety of vintage and antique items. Definitely worth checking out, but look for the maps...or you could get lost. π€£
Yesterday two friends and myself had the pleasure of visiting the Southport Antique Mall. We found the staff to be courteous. Several times we needed assistance to enter locked cases and fortunately there was someone close by. Hunting down the staff wasnβt necessary. After two hours, we left there happily and left a lot more booths to search for next time. Highly recommend it!
Vast antique mall with all types of interesting items. The only reason it didnt earn 5 β is because the checkout was so slow. I waited 20 minutes and only three customers were in front of me. Other than that, its a fun place to visit.
Lots of beautiful things. Super pricey. I left with nothing
Very friendly and helpful staff. Maze of wonder!
One of my favorites. Lots of guy stuff and a friendly staff. Check them out. You will not be disappointed!
Great store, walkers to assist, and take your picks to front holding area. Takes cash, check, credit cards, has layaway available. Dealers are helpful, if they dont have a item they may know one that does. 36,000 square feet mostly one level good place for therapy if walking is needed.
Very nice place! They have everything here including furniture and vintage clothing. I would recommend this place if youre into antiques.
Great! We always find something we didnt know we couldnt do without.
If you like antiques and collectibles this is the best place to go and browse. Its easy to get help with any locked cases you want to take a closer look at. So much to look at youll want to go back regularly.
Such a cool and unique place. Its the T.A.R.D.I.S of antique shops. Its way bigger on the inside lol. Found so many great things and theres no way Ive even begun to see it all. A must visit, at least once but preferably more times! I found a nice antique brass clock. Fixed it up, polished it, and it looks almost new. Im in love with it! (I did not realize brass was mostly copper! The face of the clock definitely matches more when its all polished!)
This place is much bigger than the outside looksClean, well organized...spent 3 hours and didnt get all the way through...will definitely be back!
This place is one of a kind and the staff are just very special especially when you need something theyre on it like right on rice
Hundreds of vendors, tons of fantastic finds, very reasonably priced, plenty of parking! I could spend the day there and not see everything! Come to the vendor outdoor show this Saturday, 7/24/2021
Really having a tough time with this review. This is hands down one of the best antique stores I have ever been to. They have amazing variety, everything is clean and organized. I was able to find numerous antique medicine bottles to add to my collection, however, I was apprehensive to spend my money here. They treat you like youβre a thief. I asked for a box or cart to put my stuff in after asking for an employee to open a case, since I planned to buy a lot more than I ended up buying after this incident. The woman working rudely told me βno, they will bring it up here.β So I met the man at the booth I was interested in and he stood over me, breathing down my neck as I looked at them. I understand wanting to mitigate theft and taking proper precautions but ew - this is too much. Who wants to shop with someone over them like that? I quickly decided on two items I really wanted and grabed something from another booth. Upon checking out, the same lady says βoh wow, he handed it to you?!β in reference to what I had grabbed from another booth not what he had brought up to their front desk. If youβre a vendor, youβre probably losing money from this aggressive type behavior. I definitely donβt plan on coming back.
The Southport Antique Mall is a great place to shop! The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the selection is unbeatable. I wasnt interested in antiquing until I came here for the first time, and Ive loved it ever since. I got bell bottoms & a dress from the 70s here for a 70s themed photoshoot. It was a lot nicer than trying to find similar 2019 clothes at a different store. Now Im stocking up on Christmas decor & clothes!
My favorite antique mall at the moment. The vintage clothing shop on the second floor is to die for!
Great place to grab some collectibles.Been going there for 30 years off and on.
Was followed around the whole damn time, very sad because I was going to buy something for my daughters birthday. Prices are extremely high as well.
Great place to shop or look around. But not sure how you can get cases unlocked. No one ever offered to take my stuff to the front for me. And when I stopped by the desk to do that they were too busy to help me. Checkout was better. Service could be better overall.
This place is huge and due to the maze like set up they put color coded arrows on the floor! This helps so much when you decide to head to the check out! Staff didnt acknowledge customers that came to the desk. They dont say hello or they will be right with you. If the older woman is working she always speaks. If you want to visit Indianapolis to shop for antiques, set aside 2 to 3 days for the flea markets.
Walked around and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Large and varied selection.
This is the best place to get lost for an afternoon. So many things to look at and unique finds. The people are friendly and happy to answer questions or open a case or two.
This place is huge! Good deals to be found.
Fun place to browse and bring back childhood memories
Large variety, good merchandise. Lots of cases. Staff is awesome! Missed going here because of covid. Worth the trip!
Absolutely love this place one our favorite places to shop.
Friendly staff, great selection, open 7 days a week!! Will be going back, recommend to others!! Thanks
A spatial anomaly. This store is truly unending within, despite outside appearances. Great selection of items!
Extremely great! Very large selection. The only bad part is the single checkout line. They remove all the tags and wrap things very well though
Not as many antiques and good finds as in the past. Prices are extremely high.
Fun place to shop
Interesting inventory, not open for negotiating, pay the sticker price or dont buy.
There is a good selection of merchandise, and the prices are a little high.
I absolutely love this place they always have great items at very responsible prices!!!
Nice store..a bit difficult to navigate..moat dealers know what they have so not many bargains..very nice mall
It was definitely not what we get when we go to Louisville KY.
Clean, helpful staff, interesting items, always have fresh things.
Excellent place for antiquing. Nestled away in the Southport neighborhood in a large building with about 35,000 sq. feet of antiques. Floor plan is a little bit of a maze however makes it a unique Antique Mall. The entire staff were wearing masks as well as customers are required (thank you SAM for looking out for our safety as well as yours!). Plenty of hand sanitizer is out in the open for customers use. We traveled 3 hours to come here and was worth the trip with what we found.
Its a huge huge store, so many vendors, prices vary.
If you are in to antique shopping this place is an absolute must! The building is 5x the size of a normal antique store. Have something for everyone there. You can spend all day there & still miss something. Go & check it out!
They have everything you could imagine
Love vintage π€ just something about ol skool, plus usually built ALOT better and well here it is ladies and gents, they dont make it or like itanymore.
Mask police. No thank you nothing here dont waste your time
Fun and always great finds!
Nice, clean, well organized and easy to shop! Lots of nice items and a wide variety of booths/cases etc.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The mall is clean and orderly. Lots of vintage and antique items at reasonable prices.
Great booths and a great staff. Not too far out of the way. Their building is deceptively large! I never see it all.
I really need place but if you intend to walk at all you better spend at least 2 hours. the only complaint I have is they had a sign saying no pets in the day we were there they had a lady and her husband with a dog in a stroller and they were allowing it. I would love to have brought my dog in stroller but we decided to obey the rules
Love to wander back to yesterday!
Unfortunately, they felt the need to block me on social media because I wanted to know if face masks were being required of customers. It was a yes or no question and they kept beating around the bush about it; when I called them out for giving the same generic response that wasnt really answering my question, they sent me a sassy private message, then blocked me.In case anyone is wondering, I have found out since that no, face masks are not mandatory. I dont understand why they wouldnt just answer me.
We spent more than 2 hours here for the first visit! cool antique shop ;)
Excellent items, itβs just like a museum. Something for everyone. The place is kept up well, and the staff are very nice and helpful. If you ever need anything theyβll be right there to help you.
A very good variety of different antique objects.
Shocked how many amazing items pieces we found !!!
Only down fall was my purse they made me take to my car but let other women walk around with the same purse, I cant help but think I was profiled!
Closed for the holidays but the rest of the year is AWESOME!!
Great, we were short on time and would love to go back.
This place has plenty of unique and one of a kind items..collectibles and antiques as well as furniture and clothes. Its a big store that will make you feel nostalgic. If you like vintage, this is the place to go.
Oh my goodness. This is the ultimate Antique Mall. You need the whole day to go through this huge mall. Bought too much, but had such a great time!
Always a fun place to look for pretty much anything. Stained glass windows? Yup. Stove? Why not. The employees are always helpful too.
Me and my little one had a very good time spent about two hours looking and playing dress up. We will be back.
HUGE STORE!!!! I looked until my eyes hurt and only did half the store. Awsome...
Great place shop !
Its a great place if you are looking for toys books or anything else you can imagine. The merchandise are separated by booth vendors. They have multiple areas for booths its almost like going to an antique fair.
This is a wonderful place! Its everything I hope for in a shop. First thing I have to mention is the high standard of cleanliness and presentation. This place is like a buttered English muffin, just lots and lots of little pockets of goodness everywhere. Grab a map, cause when you think youve seen it all, there will be more. Staff is constantly available to help out.
Kind of lame, scenery never changes and check out guy is rude and unhelpful. Dont waste your time.
A little expensive, but nice place.
This is, by far, the best antique mall I have ever been to. Its a lot larger than it looks. There is something for everyone here. Also, the upstairs is just clothes. I found a wonderful penguin coat up there. I highly recommend seeking this place out if youre visiting Indy.
A wonderful winter wonder land
Great selections
Fairly big antique mall with more than what me and a friend could see in a few hours. This place was neat and clean. The booths were loaded with lots of finds. The mall itself winds around inside and we did find at one point that we werent sure how to get back to the front/entrance.Ill definitely come back to this antique mall.
Nice little antique mall! Doesnt really change much from visit to visit tho.Really nice staff there, very helpful and friendly! Nice way to spend an hour or two!
Many old things some real surprises.fun place
This antique mall is by far the most vast Ive ever visited. The layout of the building is like a maze with hidden treasures in each room. I always find antiques that I fall in love with here and often for a great bargain. The employees are very kind and helpful. This is one of my favorite places to go on the weekends.
We had chosen an antique mall in Speedway as it was closer to our Airbnb, but Southport came so highly recommended that we took the longer drive. I antique plenty and I have never had an experience quite like that at Southport. Extremely friendly staff is constantly moving around and taking your items from you and up to the desk. There was a young man, Levi, that always seemed to appear when we needed into a case. My friend and I spent 3.5 hours there and found many things that we purchased. It was a great way to spend a gloomy Sunday afternoon!
Very awesome! I found a beautiful doll for my collection! Love her!
It so big that you cannot see it all unless you stay for several hours. And the guys who run the place are so kind and knowledgeable that why wouldnt you want to spend that kind of time there. We always bring our 1 1/2 year old in her stroller, and they make us feel uncomfortable for having her with us. In fact they talk to and welcome her. Its a great change!!
This is a fairly large antique mall but it is an absolute maze! There are hundreds of booths with a great variety and a pretty good price range. You can find everything from quality antique furniture to lots of glass and kitchenware and also collectables. They pretty much leave you alone, unfortunately that also means theres no offers of help so you make trips to the counter to get a case open or drop off finds which cuts into your shopping time if its nearing closing time.
Worth going out of your way for. The only thing I didnt like is how everything is under glass. Im a very tactile person.
A lot here to look through. Typical antique mall - various sellers, large selection, various types of wares. I enjoyed my visit and would likey stop back if Im back in town. The staff (owner?) was friendly and helpful. I like clothes so I mostly shopped for that. Large 60s-80s clothing selection upstairs. She had a few outlier decade items with some 30s-60s nightgowns. One booth downstairs had pretty 1920s/30s nightgowns with a few 30s-50s dresses and a few victorian pieces. Some various clothing items and eras peppered into the rest of the store. Decent prices too.
Great place. Can always spend a few hours in there and find something unique.
This mall just keeps going! Well organized and great variety. Enjoyed spending a few hours searching for treasures.
Its...okay. It has quite a bit to look at and the booths arent like flea markets, as with many other antique stores. I didnt see a whole lot that I would have actually wanted to buy, but there were a few items that I found to be very intriguing.
Very nice antique mall with a ton of antiques. You could spend days here and not see everything. Most is high quality too.
We just left your shop and were very impressed with the variety of items you have on display! The friendly staff and prices were amazing. We will definitely be back!
This is a true hidden gem of a store. This store seems to go on forever. The staff is always polite and helpful. I have been able to find, high quality furniture at a amazing price for home staging. I am always looking for that unique item that will raise a houses potential. I have never been let down, with the verity of items they provide. This is defiantly one place you dont want to pass up.
Great place. Good variety of antiques. Jerri is the best if you need help with cases but everyone there is helpful.
LOTS of stuff. Always find something that Ive never seen before.
Lovely go again and again great deals
Fantastic place! Huge amount of stuff to see. Excellent customer service! So big you need a map but they are up to date with QR code or number to call for assistance.
Friendly and helpful staff. Throughly enjoyed walking through the space - there is plenty to explore...from vintage clothing to modern furniture and everything in between. You are sure to find something unique.
This is a place to get lost in. My wife and I regularly wander though the labyrinthine displays and rooms stacked with nostalgia as far as the eye can see. Theres a lot of friendly sellers throughout that will happily tell you a story about their wares. Its fun to lose a Saturday afternoon in here.
