I sold some equipment and dresses there for the first time at this location, first the customer service here need a lot of help no greeting when I walked in, it was like I was bothering them, it makes you not even want to come in the store . But I dropped my items off at 11am they advise it was a 4 hour wait which is fine and I would get a text when they are done, the day go by I called them about 6pm asking about my items they said I still had 3 people in front of me, I’m still okay with this, the next day comes I call at 9:30am and ask about my items they said they didn’t get to it but a call or text would of been nice, there was no communication about my stuff, because my receipt says if I don’t pick up I will lose all my stuff so I was panic not to here something back . They said I still had 3 people ahead of me I said okay . When I came in no greeting again they bought all my stuff but only two items .they really all need to go through training on how to treat customers, or find jobs they like because dealing with people is a part of the job I will never go back to this location to sell, people told me how bad it was over here but I wanted to see for myself . Unfortunately I will not sell here or buy here anymore. I will go to 96th fishers they are very nice they know how to greet customers over there maybe that store can train the east side store .

We came in around 1:30 to sell a few clothing items and they told us they stop selling at 1 mind you they open at 11 on Sunday. It doesn’t state that anywhere and when we talked to a worker they caught an attitude and didn’t try to explain the correct hrs. A photo is included

Found a lot of great clothes for my baby and in sale. Double win, store was a little tight and hard to move around wasn’t a big deal. However once I got to check out from the begin the cashier and the other lady helping her were very RUDE! And I decided to take some items off, she rolled her eyes, sighed loudly, like it was the biggest inconvenience to her. Never again!!

I wish we can give zero stars. All of the females that worked today October 18 deserve a raise or promotion or something because they worked really hard. Though, the store was a mess because of everyone’s kids I seen made messes. I tried to sell today and they told me they stopped buying at 1 which they did have a long wait. I used to work at a retail store I know how it is. They was honest with me about running out of totes and the wait also being short staffed so I took my stuff back but came back in to shop. You shouldn’t be buying at all if your running out of totes that is horrible ownership and poor management. They couldn’t get anything done because the store was busy when I was in line I was by the dressing rooms.

You spent money on a billboard advertising new ownership/management for no apparent reason.You have the same poor service. We called this morning regarding the cut off to sale clothes. We were told we had to be there by six. Spent the day sorting and bagging clothes. Upon arrival, there is a sign on the door Not accepting buys. Apparently around 2PM the employees decided they didnt want to accept any more items. Poor management and unprofessional. This has happened before so I know this is a standard. Serious lack of business principles. Seriously, you have to post a star to get this published?

First of all I feel l in ke ANYWHERE that is specifically for children should have a public restroom or at the very least a place where you could change a babys diaper. We were in the store for about 15 mins and my daughter needed a diaper changed. When I asked an employee if there was somewhere do change her she rolled her eyes at me and said no in probably the rudest tone Ive ever heard. So I decided to go somewhere else and change her as soon as i checked out considering i had a car stuffed and overflowing with things she and I really wanted. So I go the the counter where I faced 5 employees sitting UK ng or standing around who all began to argue over who was going to ring me up! I just left my car there and walked out! Never again will I go the this store. Such a shame.

Consumer alert❗Ive taken a day to think about this before posting.... This place is criminal. Very simple. You drop your things off and they go through. Simple right? Until you come back and dont pay attention to what they give you back. My friend of 40+ years found her items on there shelves for sell and she was NOT going to be given anything but a smile. We all know that smile. Offering a scooter she was told $2.50. Thats two dollars and fifty cents for something they could not find on line and her husband found immediately off Google for over $100. I will give this company the benefit to reply otherwise it is the company that is at fallt. After finding some of her belongings on the shelves for sell without compensation I believe this is just Criminal. Everyone please pay attention to what is going on with this

I’ve been patronizing the store every since the old owners open it up at that time the prices were relatively good. Now that the new owners are there it is overpriced, and the quality has gone down. I brought in five pair of UGGs that were for a newborn sizes one to three they only wanted to offer me $1.50 per UGG, those UGGs were purchased for $65-$75 at Nordstrom’s. The uggs were never worn. Very disappointed in the new owner, I’ve actually spoken to her and introduce myself, because I also used to have a secondhand store inside of Washington Sq Mall and I did inform her that most of her used items are priced higher than brand new items.

I was happy and hopeful to see new management when I pulled up today. As soon as walking in I was completely disappointed. The store is CHAOTIC! literally piled up hardly any room to walk through. The clothing sizes are miss placed. The staff was extremely “grumpy”. Talk about a dreadful time with two young children trying to fit through the isles and sizes not being the same as the sign. Very stressful and I would not return. Clothing prices seemed higher too for less quality clothing. When I was checking out the lady didn’t even bother to ask if I was apart of there rewards program, I had to bring it up by which she seemed annoyed that I did. I am glad I asked because I ended up having 20% off. Maybe the owner just does not care because I cannot fathom an owner walking into that and feeling pride of their company. I will continue to drive to the greenwood location and hope it does not turn similar to this one.

It was well organized and clean. The staff greeted me when I came in. I just wish that there were more to choose from and it seemed a little o er priced for some goods. I ended up finding a cute outfit for my son for about $10.

Great place for gently used childrens clothing and accessories. From belts to shoes, you can find what you need here. They will buy items as well. You need to drop it off in a tote or box and they will evaluate your goods and call you back in the next day. Good sales and a WIDE variety.

They really didnt have nothing. They price on their item is to high. You can go to Walmart, get something better or get the same stuff brand new, same price or cheaper. I like the one in Greenwood its much better!!!

This particular once upon a child is very clean and well organized. It was nice they have a kids busy section where kids can play with toys and read at a table and chairs and actually move. I wish more once upon a child locations would do this as well and work on their cleanliness around the store such as this location. However their selection is lacking terribly. They didnt have hardly any clothing throughout the store AT ALL. And no restroom! And no dressing rooms!!! The area didnt appear the greatest either in my opinionUpdate: there is no longer any busy section or any room AT ALL to even move in the front of the store anymore so took away a star

This store is HORRIBLE. Ive been selling there for years. Always had a young, nice outgoing personality full of life employees. The store ALWAYS smelled good and prices were fair. NOW, omg its awful the store smells like a old closet with mold and mildew. I came in yesterday to see what they had and as I looked through the clothes(with my husband, kids and baby) we found dog hair, plain out filth on the clothes. Im very disturbed by this. We are at a store that should follow good policy for cleanliness and I do not see this anymore since the new So Called Owner took over. I would rather pay full price for my kids clothes than bring my family into a place that has since went straight downhill. I immediately left after having a item priced by the staff that I had looked up ( my family has a similar business in another state) and they overpriced the item I laughed and left it on the counter. I took my family home and immediately gave them baths I was scared that they would have gotten something form the clothes. Rule of thumb owners. YOU NEED better staff that greet your customers, give them classes on customer services, let them know they should not treat other races that are not white different and gently used should be WASHED. It is very sad that your standards are so low that you have become a spectacle of filth. I would be very ashamed if I owned this business, people patronize because they know, no better. I have a business and would NEVER treat people like this nor have my establishment smell or look this way. Also, know you have a 2nd hand store not a BRAND NEW clothing store and you should definitely know the prices are to expensive. Note to customers you can get BRAND NEW clothes for your children with lower prices at Burlington Coat Factory, Old Navy, even Target and pay lower or the same either way much better that such a awful place. Wish the old owners would come back with the AMAZING staff miss them, will NEVER go back here. I see that someone else even replies to the reviews not even the OWNER.. terrible. Absolutely HORRIBLE service, including the workers. Went to go sell some items (just a little diaper bag barely full with stuff) stood by the counter for about 10-15 minutes without a single greeting, made eye contact with about every worker there and still no one said anything to me, no one tried to help me, avoid me at all cost. There was also another lady there the same time I was that was unpleased with the service & she noticed how they were treating me. I couldn’t take it anymore, I was standing there looking like an idiot while my husband and newborn son were out in the car waiting for me so I walked out with my stuff. This is my first review I’ve written anywhere. It’s not like to me to leave a negative review, but this was definitely worth sharing. I will not be returning!

As I walk in, no one greeted my son, my boyfriend or I. All three woman sitting down. I work at a OUAC and all I know, my boss DOES NOT allow that. You would be fired. Very unprofessional. Asked a woman about a bathroom, no “this way” or “I’ll show you” and no “you’re welcome”. Where did you guys hire from? Never been to this one and the place is a mess, employees very rude and selection is terrible. I will not return.

So I thought cause I looked like a bum last time I came they only offered $9 but looking like a million dollars I still was only offered $9. Ive been there to sell infant clothes, shoes, blankets, etc. Several times and Every time I go they seem to have a very long wait time and they dont give a reasonable amount of money for the things you bring. I brought a full basket of 3-6 month clothes and I got 10$. Some of those clothes were jerseys and other expensive brands. Today I took a full basket of clothes and they made me waste my whole day for them to tell me they werent taking infant girl clothes. Why not just tell me you werent taking them when I got there? I do not recommend this place to anyone. Might as well take them to goodwill and just drop them off because you wont get a lot of money or anything for them anyway.

My experience here was not too great. The place seemed completely ransacked. Granted, I did come 40 mins prior to close, but regardless I was looking for 3-6 month girls clothes and it was a hassle trying to find anything. Everything is either mislabeled or completely missing labels to where you have to go through each piece and see which size it is and even when you find the right size area its mixed with a bunch of incorrect sizes. I even found a sleeper with a feces stain on it, which is not suppose to be accepted nor resold on the floor. About 3 or so mins before close a young man is heard shouting that theyre closing in 3 minutes and to hurry up and get in checkout, then proceeds to talk in Korean, hopefully nothing negative towards me for still being in there, but you never know. I hurried and made my selection then proceeded to the front counter. At this point its 7:00 (the time they close on Sunday). As Im approaching the counter I hear the young man chuckling, almost laughing to his coworkers as I approach. He looks at his co worker thats unlocking the door for me and says in a smirk tone didnt you hear me talking earlier? I quickly reply sure did he then goes to say so you heard the first thing I said then? I say yes. About yall closing in 3 mins the 2 other girls of coarae are looking out the corners of their eyes and grinning and giggling. At this point hes still chuckling as he tells me my total and I give him my money then he goes on saying while still giggling with his employees well..I just wanted to make sure you heard me. They thought I wasnt being loud enough. I say okay then proceed to grabbing my things and going to the counter while of coarse they continue with theyre laughing as I leave. Needless to say, I wont be returning to this location anytime soon, not that it matters much to them. Id recommend going to any other once upon a child if possible, as I will in the future. The one on 86th and ditch gives wonderful service and its always organized and they even up sale and are polite, even close to closing time. The only way Ill ever be back to this location, is if a clerk at another location tells me an item I need is at this location or if my daughter needs emergency clothes. Otherwise I wont be back anytime soon. Such a shame.

On today my sons was treated like criminals because of the color of there skin. I sent my boys in the store to get these shoes for my godson. They asked my 20 yr old son n nephew to leave the store. So when they came back out i asked what happened n they explained to me. So i went back in to ask why they was asked to leave. As I went back in I saw them approach my 14 yr old n 17 yr old boys who was still in the store. The lady treated my 14 yr old like a criminal. Snatched the shoes he was buying out of his hands. I asked her what was the problem she said he was trying to steal these $2.50 shoes I gave him the money to go back in to get. I tried to explain to her he wasnt stealing n he had the money. Long story short they profiled my boys because they are young black teens. Now I have to explain to my 14 n 17 year old all white people arent racist and all black people arent criminals. Boycott this store NO one deserve to be treated this way, regardless of your race. Me n there father work very hard n my boyz have know reason to steal. They owe my children an apology n Im not going to stop until they get there apology.

Every time I bring in clothes in good condition they always have some lame excuse not to take them. Like one day I had a large basket full of boys clothing and the excuse for them not taking them was not the styles they want or need. The employees are rude, look like they hate their job. The place is very dirty feeling every time I walk in. The prices are getting to high for used clothing and some clothes Ive seen were taken dirty and stained on the racks. I have many other things but Ill leave it at this. The overall experience with this location is just horrible.

I would give a negative star if I could.I brought my items, one basket, to this location at 430. There were 4 people on the list, and the kiosk told me that it would be an hour and a half, 600. We drive to the stire, walk around and come back. My husband goes in and stands at the counter. No one is in the store and he waits for over 8 minutes for someone to help. Both children working behind the counter decided they were going to chit chat instead of helping him.He flagged down the manager and she said shes only been through the 1st person because they brought a lot of stuff. Well, your sign says 2 containers and I got a quote of 1.5 hours.I called to discuss this with her and got lip from one child when I asked for management. She then, blamed all of it on the kiosk and explained 3 times that the kiosk was giving incorrect times. When I pointed out her employees lack of professionalism and customer service, she defended them and told me I could speak to the GM tomorrow if I wanted to talk further.Okay, honey. Dont worry, your call is recorded and I WILL be discussing your terrible location with the GM. Peace and blessings.

Good place to get seasonal items - Halloween costumes, swimsuits, books, and toys. They sell gently worn clothing and shoes in premie thru size 16. Theres fitting rooms and a bathroom with a changing table. The merchandise changes according to the season and sometimes there are strollers and bicycles, other times neither. You just dont know until you go. The staff is nice and helpful.

Even with the change of location still dosent change the atmosphere of the employees. They are still very short and down right rude. Again Ive said in my previous reviews that this specific store is the only one I have issues with. I love all the other locations.

I just want to say I have been buying and selling at this location for years. I dont know what happened in the recent months, but I was treated and greeted like a criminal. The lady at the front counter didnt greet me at all. Then had the worst attitude Ive experienced in a long time. Shortly after tells me she couldnt take my items because they were in a bag. Mind you I have been buying and selling here for years. Confused look... Thats fine I was okay with policy. Then I ask to speak with management ; I get were all the attitude was coming from. I was basically profiled, she mentioned to that in the recent months she has had certain individuals bring a gun, a mouse, and some other bogus items in bags. I told her about her employee lack of customer service, she defended her employees by saying, they work hard and were overwhelmed with work. Another confused look. The owner here had no interest at all with my concerns. After being humiliated I am a child of god first, so the items that I brought in to EXCHANGE/for other items, I ended up donating to a lady and her two boys in the parking lot!

At every location i have been to in Indianapolis, the prices are very high. And, the worst part is that they only offered me $5 and some change for a huge birthday bag with at 100 baby boy clothing items in it, but they will sell 1 piece for $5 or more on the racks.I do not believe this business is helping anyone save money. Its a huge ripoff and you are better off shopping online or using as app such as Offerup or Letgo. Thrift stores and Goodwill are easier to bargain shop at than Once Upon A Child.

I would not choose this store again for my babies perfectly good condition clothes. They didn’t touch any of my stuff. Just kept 3 sleepers, an expensive mobile (that alone is worth $20) and a blanket from a 4pc toddler bed set that was in perfect condition. Claimed my items had wear and were mostly separates.First off you sell separates, I’ve bought them before from your store. Second if you supposedly don’t take separates then why SEPARATE a 4pc bedding set? Third next time you should at least move things around to make it look like you actually looked through the items. When my items are given back to me in the exact same way I took them in, I know you didn’t touch them. Come on, I’m a mom, we always find out. If it was close to closing, I could have come back the next day.. no big deal, but you should never lie to a customer!

I can pretty much find anything the kids need in a matter of minutes. They are even color coordinated . They have fair prices and if you notice something wrong with the item you are purchasing, bring it up and they may be able to discount it further.

Staff are great. I did receive alot of store credit for little bit of clothes. They didnt have alot of toys which was what I was after. Alot of shoes. Inside was clean. Only took 15 minutes to have a whole tote of clothes gone through.

Very good customer service team with great prices, Took my son there when he was first born didnt go back for 3 months and when I did the employees remembered him by name which isnt common anymore in Buisnesses I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for baby stuff

Great prices for great kids stuff

This is one of my go-to places for reasonably priced childrens clothes. I have also purchased used toys.

Some of the employees are rude, they walk around the store and don’t speak or ask do you need help, I asked one employee to assist me in finding sizes twice and she didn’t help me. The quality of the clothes for the prices are ridiculous especially the baby clothes their stained.

They may have six employees working in the store but everyones doing their assigned duties the one person to sign the register may be assigned another duty as well and you have to wait on that one person to get done with whatever theyre doing to check out

Wish I could give 0 or even -5. This is the Worst location. They always have ridiculously long wait times. The last time it was 4 peoples names in front of mine and the said 3 & half hour wait. They don’t speak when you come in. Well every time the old white ladies are there they look me right in the face and continue doing whatever it is they are doing and don’t say a thing to me until after I sign in my items to ask for my ID. I try not to think of it as a race thing but they seem to speak to everyone that comes in after me that doesn’t look like me. They didn’t speak when I dropped off or picked up. One day last week I brought in a basket full of brand new still on the hanger kidget clothes and they offered me $22 but this day it was younger females. The next day I brought in my second basket with almost the exact same things, but even more brand new on the hanger clothes and the old white ladies who don’t speak to me - 1 never sent a txt saying that my buy was done so I had to call -& 2 they offered me $8 saying they don’t buy kidget which was clearly a lie because they just bought a bucket of kidget clothes from me the day before. That was my 3rd time going & last. My first time the same old white ladies were in there and didn’t speak and said the same thing when I tried to sell my brand new kidget clothes, but I went to the one on 71st and the bought them there. So month or so later I tried again & that’s when I had these last two experiences. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone I know. They’re rude and I believe they discriminate against people of color. Or maybe not but that was my experience I felt super unwelcome and unimportant.

Im a mother of four and I like finding fashionable items at a great deal for my girls just like any other mom does. But it seems every time Ive gone to sell items to the E. Washington St. location Im met with prices that, I feel, are almost insulting as a buy price. I brought in a small box, they were not interested in any of the clothing(which all were in fine condotion) what they were interested in was a Safty1st folding baby bath, a brand new in the box Monster High doll, 2 boys clip on ties and a pair of fashionable size 5 girls sandals with floral and beads on the front (that I bought from there for 8$ and they were in great condition). All these items they wanted to buy for $4.60... !!!I know there are certain margins and percentages you need to meet as a business but I feel that this was an attempt to rip me off. The doll alone (being that it was brand new in the box) would have been sold for 10$ easy. I even saw some Barbies in the box new on the shelf for sale for $10... I find it hard to bring myself to want to continue doing business with a place that I feel is doing unfair business. The women at this location were kind and respectful so no problems there. But I just think they were quite unfair. If it matters to anyone of you who run poles or whatever, Im Puerto Rican, my husband is black so my girls are mixed. Hope my review helps someone.

I came in today 9-20-2019 at about 8:30 8:40 both of the white females were very rude to me never coming back they were lazy they both got rude then one of them left to get carts from parking lot.

A majority of the boys clothing that I looked at were stained. There were also items with holes in them. I couldnt believe they were selling items in that kind of condition.

This was a waste of my gas and my time! I took name brand clothing basically brand nre. Osh kosh, Childrens place etc. The ladies working there were short when talking to me and when asking my questions. The bought about 5 things.. cant complain but got home and noticed the leap frog game system you hook up to your tv was missing they did not buy so I called and they say yes it here . So once again I am wasting my time and my gas to go pick it up. Will try another location ... never eill I go back there!

I give this place a one star, coustmer service is horrible !!!! And as I look around at some of the used items the prices are the same price as the new stuff in the stores !!! Also when you sale stuff to them, they only give u 2 dollars for each item ! But wanna sale your items at retail price !! Don’t waste your time !!! You will be better off donating your children’s clothes & blessing someone in need !
