These guys are great. Everytime Ive been in there theyre always so helpful. I like the fact they can tune up or do some add ons to your bike while you wait. Highly recommend.

My son and I came in looking for a derailleur hanger, among other things, not knowing exactly what style. The guys in this shop, second we’d been to that day, helped us figure out the right hanger and told us where to order it online. They helped us with a few other things, as well. Amazing, friendly staff that went above and beyond!We live on the west side, but it is worth the drive.

My wife and I have enjoyed our bikes from Indy Cycle. Staff took the time to explain features and test ride the bikes. I hadnt been on one in years and it was nice to have new features pointed out and help in selecting the right bikes.

This is a solid shop! They took great care of us and did everything they could to make things perfect. Drove 4 hours to pick up a bike from them and it was worth every mile. If you are near or far from Indy and have any bicycle related needs go and check them out. Even in the midst of these current circumstances the whole crew was helpful and attentive. And to top it off they have an incredible selection, my new Surly Ogre is the crown jewel of my bike room now

So this bike shop feels the need to go WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND what the local, state and government requirements allow for covid. All other places you are allowed to enter a store or business if you have a mask but not this store they do not let anyone in the store, you are supposed to wait outside and tell them what you want and they get it for you and bring it outside lol. Umm no I like to look and with a mask on I was denied that. Well I came to your store yesterday wanting to buy a bike priced at $4000 and since I was told by a worker I couldnt come in to look at it or to browse other inventory I decided to take my money to BGI which is in the same county and THEY allow you to come in their store as long as you have a mask and I bought a new trek top fuel 8 and about $400 in extras. So thanks for keeping me & you too safe you just lost a sale. During times like this im sure its not wise to shoe paying customers away.

Very disappointed with this place. Don’t be expected to be treated with any respect after they have your money. The owner, got upset because I was finding parts cheaper other places. But then refused to tell me what part he had ordered me, so I could then order the other parts I needed to go with it. His response was “ask them”. He got so unprofessional, I was even scared to go pick the items up I purchased, and I def wouldn’t take my bike there to let them work on it after that. I had to take it somewhere else and pay someone else for what I already paid Scott to do. The sad thing is, I’ve spent 12000 dollars there in the past two years. I couldn’t believe his behavior over me saving money elsewhere. Also, not even a thank you after I picked up my $1900 dollar wheel set.

I broke the axle on my recumbent front wheel the other day. Its an old size thats hard to find and I went to 3 shops before ICS had what I needed, a bearings kit. Twenty bucks and a little wrenching later I was riding again. You guys made my week! Which is going to be perfect weather for riding every day. Many thanks again.

I drove 45 min to browse bikes as Im not sure what I want. Be aware you cannot go inside and will be turned away.They are happy to roll a bike outside- one that you know you want- but dont go there expecting to browse. Really wish Id known that before a burned up the gas to get there.

Although there was one instance when an employee called me a liar, said issue was dropped and I still continue to equip my old schwinn from parts purchased here. Staff is top notch in knowledge. Prices are fair. Miss the in store shopping though. Damn Covid

Recently dropped my bike off for servicing and I pick it up tonight and during the service they found that my rear derailleur was damaged and they replaced it for free under warranty with a even better one than what was already on there! Cant say I know of any other places that will do that for their customers. I live on the opposite side of Indianapolis and have multiple shops closer by but the customer service I get here more than makes up for the drive!

Just went in today to get a bike. I had gone a few weeks ago to look around as Ive been wanting to get back into cycling to exercise myself and my dogs. The first time I went in I was confused, I did know I either wanted to tune up my old bike I got as a teenager or a new one for my adult, 21 year old self. I talked to one of the guys and he was really nice and informative. I had decided I would buy a new one when my tax refund arrived.Well, I went in again today knowing what I wanted thanks to my previous visit and just needed to find the right one for my needs (hybrid) and budget. One of the guys helped me out throughout the entire process. We looked at different hybrids and he explained the difference in each one. I test rode two and knew the second one was exactly what I wanted/needed. It was well under my budget, high quality, and they even installed a kick stand for free. I didnt feel rushed, I was impressed and felt welcomed. Im very happy with my purchase and would recommend them to anyone looking for a bike, tune up, or accessory. Thanks guys! :)

I had called this store to figure out how to sell my fathers old bicycles to find out they dont take in used bikes. BUT Greg looked up the value for me and gave me wonderful advice on what to do with them. This was just a phone interaction but that was 5 star service. ICS is an Irvington institution and a great place for cycle enthusiasts and casual cyclists alike.After buying bikes from ICS many years ago, we brought them back for a spring tune up. I was impressed not only by the quick turn around and the quality repairs but also by how knowledgeable and honest everyone we interacted with was. Though we expected to have to do serious repairs, as we hadnt used the bikes in many years, they were able to get our bikes into near-perfect condition with the basic tune up. (And, they even helped me adjust my saddle a few days later when I realized it wasnt the right height, and I wasnt strong enough to turn the knob myself!) I am so grateful to have such a great bike shop so close to home.

When I started shopping for a new bicycle, first thing I did was look at the reviews online of the bikes I was interested in.Then, I went to look & test ride them at 6 different bike shops in Indy. But it was ICS that earned my business.They greeted me right away opposed to being ignored at other bike shops. They werent pushy. He setup two bikes for the test ride and made slight adjustments upon return and sent me back out to try them again. If you are looking for a Giant bike this the best store in the city. I was looking for a good giant bike and I went to several stores in the state but I wasnt able to find a store with a good knowledge of Giant bikes maybei had bad luck... However, I found the staff at the indy cycle have a strong knowledge with the bikes, very honest with thier product. And most importantly they will tell you the pros and cons of each bike. Also, They offered to order any giant bike you can find on the giant offical website and their prices very competitive with the market. Yesterday I bought a new bike and I am so happy with my purchase, I cant wait to try the bike on a long ride. Also, they gave me 1 year free service on the bike. I havent used thier service yet so I will add an update after I use it. But I highly recommend this story.

The wait to get your bike fixed is long (weeks), but it is one of the biggest bike stores Ive seen ever.

They helped me pick out a rear rack and basket and they installed it for me. Staff was friendly and helpful. I will use them again next time I need to make a bike related purchase.

Scott is awesome our bikes was stolen and we finally was able to go in and get new ones and he took the time to go and find our order from 2004 so we would be able to get the same bikes.

I moved to Indy over 6 years ago and was surprised to see how many bike shops were in the area. The town I lived in in New Jersey only had two shops. After visiting most of them and not feeling satisfied with the service, I made the trip out to ICS. From my first visit I felt welcomed and never rushed. The show room was huge, well stocked and curated with some of the best gear. I ended up buying my first Salsa Fargo from Scott and his crew. They even packed and shipped my old bike I had sold online to fund the new bike at a very reasonable price. They can special order tons of parts and get them very quickly. Last year they helped me build my dream Salsa El Mariachi from the ground up. It was a great experience. I think service is what sets any business a part and ICS has this in spades. I whole heartedly recommend them for any cycling needs.

The attitude of the staff is too defensive,they cant take criticism and will offer things with bared teeth,the parts were good, trying to get service is a hassle they act like your wrong or stupid,I just get parts now and fix it myself.the friendlyattitudeIs a little too fake for me.
