Too high for what they offer. If you have a basic kitchen the prices are great but anything on a larger scale this is not the place.
My husband and I went to cabinets to go, we met with a designer and received a soft quote for the installation. Paid the $99 to have one of their preferred contractors come to our home. We had additional work that would be needed in order to make our dream kitchen come true. They sent a man by the name of Scott Cowman to do the estimate. I proceeded to tell Scott what we wanted done. He suggested that I put my new vinyl plank flooring over cracked tile in the kitchen, to save me money. He then proceeded to tell me that I would be voiding the warranty if I did not add transition slips between a door way. I excused myself to call the store and they confirmed it would not. He then became very argumentative with my husband and I told him that he could go ahead and leave we would not be moving forward with him. He then raised his voice, screaming and cussing with my children in the home. I will say that the store refunded my money for the $99 charge to have their preferred contractor to come out and the design process went smoothly... However after that experience and the amount of money we were investing I did not feel comfortable moving forward with them or any of their preferred contractors. This would have been a $40k project. The contractors response was he assumed I wanted to save money... better assumption would be I want professional job and flooring that will last.
Run dont walk from this establishment. A job that was to take 5 days has turned into 3 weeks and they still arent done.1) We ordered the cabinets and flooring and they wanted to start the job on August 12th. We told them not to start until September 2nd,so they said they would go ahead and order in the cabinets to have them and they have the flooring in stock all the time.2) They come out September 2nd missing 2 cabinets and a wall panel for the refrigerator. The cabinets were to take 2 days them 3 days to do the flooring. (flooring was in kitchen livingroom and diningroom and hall leading to all bedrooms.)3) They then tell me they arent starting the floor until the following Monday on the 9th. I tell them that I have appliance and furniture coming and I cannot change all these dates. I basically was told too bad.4) The person shows up to install the floor on Monday the 9th and the guys show up to finish the cabinets. Well they dont have the wall panel for the refrigerator. So they install the 2 cabinets. We show them that there is a damaged door on one of the other cabinets and they have to order that. The person there to do the floor is a nice man by himself at 80 years old.5) I come home later that day, I walk over to the first few rows of flooring and inform him that it is crooked. He tells me he knows and will fix it.6) I come home the second day and we cannot see most of the floor ( he had only made it about 12 rows in that did not even finish the hall yet. ) He had boxes of flooring laying over everything he had done.7) I come home the 3rd day (remember the flooring was only to take 3 days) He has mad about 6 more rows of progress and it is majorly crooked. The reveal on one end of the hall was about 2.5 inches at the other end was almost 6 inches. (the hall is about 20 feet long)8) So I point this out to him and he tell me my walls are crooked. THEY ARE NOT. I start calling his boss at the flooring store that cabinets to go had subbed out the work to. I called 2 times that day and 3 times the next day. (flooring still not done next day) Finally I called cabinets to go and told them I could not get a hold of his boss and he would not return any of my calls. I left a voicemail with my name and number each time I called because my phone does come in blocked as I own a property management company and do not wish for my 500 + tenants to have my cell number. He did call back the first time I left a voicemail about the sink install being too low so I know he listens to voice mails.9) The cabinets to go called him and he calls me back. YELLING AT ME SAYING HE DOESNT ANSWER BLOCKED CALLS. I inform him his installer has installed the flooring crooked. He once again become mad at me saying it is almost done now. I at this time have become angry myself. I hang up on him. He calls me back I tell him the first 2 words out of his mouth better be Im sorry or this call is over. He apologized. I frankly do not care if you answer blocked calls or not this is your business line and your customer is trying to get a hold of you. Also I do not care that the floor is almost done, YOU would not answer your phone.10) He said he would have his guy come back out and relay the floor. Also he would send help with him to get it done faster. Well he came back worked Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with NO help. Floor is still not done. They were going to try and reuse the quarter round they had started laying and took back up I informed them that is needed to be new quarter round as that is what I paid for and they would have multiple nail holes in those pieces if they reused them. I will be filing suit against them for time and trouble as we have been living out of our garage this entire time. I expect 20% or more off the entire order or this will go to court. My attorney has told me that once we figure up hotel costs and eating out costs I am letting them off too cheap. We shall see.RUN FROM THIS PLACE!Now we are up to 3 weeks! Still not done!
My husband and I made a long drive from southern Indiana to visit Cabinets to Go. It was pouring rain, and because of that, there were few customers that day. We were given wonderful personal attention with Jamie using his computer to create a picture of my kitchen based just on my verbal description and our room dimensions. We ordered our beautiful white cabinets. Using online videos we created our new kitchen. I am more than pleased with the help we received and the quality of our cabinets. My daughter said if she was designing her own kitchen she would not change one thing. Thank you so much to the staff at Cabinets to Go.
Tim C. was very helpful and knowledgeable. If you are half way handy, you can assemble these cabinets. I was very happy with the quality (7 ply construction and hardwood faces) as there is NO particle board. Ordered over 30 units had no issues. I lost a hardware box and they sent it to me quickly free of cost. Also helpful loading my truck when the cabinets came in. Cant say enough good things about this place.
Design was done in a way that would be impossible. Had incorrect measurements and quoted cabinets at 36” although I ordered 42”. Delivered 30” cabinets. Installed and split one cabinet. Wall cabinets pulled away from the wall before they had even been used two months. One hinge pulled out of the cabinet after literally being opened less than 30 times. After they were installed and in use about 3 months one entire wall of cabinets was pulling away from the wall at the top—this was the installer’s error but it’s the installers that Cabinets to Go uses routinely. They didn’t install hardware and wanted to charge me $100 for toe kick even though there was a 4-6 inch gap in the bases of the cabinets at the corner of the “L”. !!!!
We are super happy with our new Cabinets to Go kitchen. The quality is great, the prices extremely reasonable and the customer service has been awesome. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that there were a couple of issues with the subcontractors completing their work in a timely manner, but our designer/salesperson, Tim, made sure everything was completed to our satisfaction.
Full disclosure- we have not taken delivery of our cainets yet, but I feel compelled to write this review due to the exceptional service I received from Tim C. from CTG Indianapolis. My contractor here in Chicago steered me towards Cabinets to Go and I wanted to get some color samples. I wasnt able to order them online so I called corporate HQ. They directed me to the Indianapolis store because they are the closest store with the full line of custom built cabinets. Tim was so helpful, sending me pictures of the cabinet colors juxtaposed next to other colors so I could see the contrasts and tones. He helped me configure the layout and even add in an extra corner cabinet I was hoping for. It made all the difference. I ended up going with the stock RTA option but Tim still helped me through the whole design over the phone and via email, which was so great considering the pandemic. I only wish I lived in Indy so I could go thank him in person.
My cabinets were very nice and very reasonable. But the customer service we received at Cabinets to go is why I am writing. Our salesman Jamie was fantastic to work with!! Mind you he was the 3rd salesperson we had and by far the most knowledgeable, thankful we got him. He made our experience at Cabinets to Go worth it, by going above and beyond. He created a plan that worked great in our Kitchen. In addition, after making several trips, we had left our putty and paint. I made a call to Jamie, letting him know, and he stated after work he would go to the post office and mail it to me. That saved us another long trip and it was such a kind gesture!! It really is hard finding customer service like that any more. Thanks Jamie!!
100% Satisfied with price, product and especially personnel. Tim helped us with our whole kitchen design and stuck by following up with every last detail. Our specific application was cabinets along with granite, counters, sink, and faucet. I would highly recommend Tim and the Rand Rd Cabinets to go crew for all kitchen needs.
I had an amazing experience with Jaime and the entire Cabinets To Go staff. From the first moment we stepped into the showroom, Jaime was so easy to work with. He helped us design our kitchen and he was there for any questions that we had. Once our order was placed it was promptly delivered. The cabinets are so beautiful. The quality of the cabinets cant be beat. I highly recommend them. In fact some of my friends have already been asking where we got our gorgeous cabinets. Thank you Jaime. You guys rock!!!!!
Working with Jamie is such a pleasure! On revision #2 of our kitchen plans and he always is so helpful to follow through with my changes. It means alot to me that the process and people are so easy to work with. Fairly early in our process but so far--so impressed!
Super pleased with our new white kitchen cabinets. With recommendations from two family members and two seperarte friends we couldnt be happier with Cabinets to Go. We did our due diligence and looked at several other cabinet dealers before deciding. CTG was half the price and was equal or better in quality. Would highly recommend.
Ive done 4 kitchens with their cabinets and 18 kitchen remodels in the last 5 years I can say the customer service has been amazing Jamie at the Indianapolis store rocks ! Theyve cut the big box store prices below half. The cabinets come in within a week or so and the quality is superior. Soft close and full overlay doors at half the price .... amazing !!
We ordered cabinets in mid-November 2016. The ordering process and sales staff were wonderful. We were excited when our cabinets came about 2 weeks later. Unfortunately, 3 cabinets arrived damaged. We are unable to put them together. We first called the sales office and sent pictures of the damaged pieces. We were directed to send the information to their customer service department. We contacted customer service in early December and were issued a claim number. The claim information said that we should expect the parts in 12-15 business days. It has been about 3 months and we still dont have the parts. First we were told that they were moving their warehouse and there were some delays, but we were on their picking list and should have our parts soon. My husband called several times in December, and could never get through to a person. He left several messages and called the sales office some more with no results. I started calling the Cabinets to Go in January. I was first told that they had a new picking system for parts and we were NOT on it. We were added and should expect updates soon. We never got updates. I called several times over the next 2 months and became unable to reach a person. It felt like they were screening our calls because all we could reach was voice mail. I received 2 messages in January. One on 1/21, and one a week later. Both said they were checking on our parts, but had no real information except that they were on back order. It is March and we still dont have any more information about our cabinet pieces than we did on 12/03/2016. I really dont know how this company stays in business.
I had a very pleasant experience with this company and love my new cabinets! Zach was very knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs. Once we started putting the cabinets together we needed to exchange and add some items which wasn’t a problem at all. I would definitely reccommnend cabinets to go if you’re looking for a new kitchen! Thank you!!!
I was excited to get plywood constructed cabinets at a reasonable price, and a local store to stop into if things didnt pan out well. I could explain how terrible the Findlay Myers cabinets were constructed at the factory, or about the missing pieces to my cabinets, or that I had to add extra bracing to keep them falling apart. But, thats on Findlay Myers. Cabinets to go failed to notify me when my cabinets came in, setting me back a week. I ended up having to make 4-5 trips because all the cabinets didnt come at once. Even went once after being told a cabinet was in, only to leave empty handed. 3.5 months after the order was placed, all my cabinets had arrived. Except the bottom to a drawer. Calling customer service is a graveyard of broken promises. Its been 5 months and I dont have a drawer in one of my cabinets. So, no. Theres not a chance Id use them again, even with good prices. Try a different RTA cabinet store.
STRESS FREE!!! SO FRIENDLY & helpful as well. Definitely worth the drive!!!
We had a great time, Tim & Zach spent the time we needed to make our decision. We bought the cabinets and are excited to have them installed.
We received the cabinets as promised within a week of ordering them. Our contractor took back one damaged piece and got a replacement right away. We worked with Bron and she was very pleasant, knowledgeable and professional.
The cabinets are great. Problem is its been 8 weeks and I still dont have all of my cabinets. My kitchen has been in disarray for weeks, and contractors are on standby for when (if ever) the rest of my cabinets come in.I never ever ever write reviews, but this has just been completely unnacepptable . I have heard that this issue happens with a ton of their customers.Would not recommend to anyone unless they happen to have exactly what you want in stock to take home the same day.Seriously, I would have spent a lot more money to cabinets elsewhere if I had known about this.
Great prices. Great service. Ask for Tim!
Show room is so so, i wouldnt recommend for high end tastes.
Purchased cabinets from the conpany before and they were beautiful. The staff here are helpful and friendly. They worked with us to design our dream kitchen.
This place is awful I would not recommend buying from here. They say they way too busy to make one little change to your design and will not respond back unless you call them. When doing the design they only puthe the minimal amount of effort. The manager of the store seems to be flustered and overwhelmed by anything. Does not seem to know how to properly manage..If you are looking for a better cabinet and more styles then what they have go to Lowes or heck any other place for that matter.
Good for home flipping or rental property.
Great cabinets, for a good price.
The salesman has an excuse each time we have been to their location. We ordered cabinets and received without the doors. His reasoning was that he was really busy and forget. No apology. When we returned a door that was wrong, he charged us a restocking fee. I would not recommend.
Terrible customer service. Been waiting for a quote for for 4 days. Every time I call, they tell me they are sending it. Still waiting. They must not need the business. Filed a complaint with BBB and also Corporate office.
Great customer service. People are very knowledgeable.
RUN AWAY FROM CABINETS TO GO!!!They should change their name to Cabinets To Slow.Placed an order for cabinets that were supposed to be delivered in 10 days... took over 75 days to get them. Plus, they totally messed up the placement and sizing of cabinets/spacers. I had to move a window to make the cabinets work as I couldnt wait another 75 days for them to fix the mistake. To top things off, they forgot about the counter tops!! I asked if the counter tops had been ordered and I was told yes they were, but they were not! I found this out and instantly ordered an 8 & 12 countertop. I was told they were in stock in the warehouse, so I paid for them and was told they would be waiting for me. When the installer went to get them, they were not there. Then, they once again lied over and over about when they would have them in stock. This is the single worst cabinet company Ive ever dealt with in 8 years of residential redevelopment. These incompetent people/company have delayed my project 3 months!!! That is longer than the project itself!!!!!STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!
You have to put the cabinets together yourself... Better prices then Lowes and Menards.
I gave three stars cuss we have used them in the past and they were great had no issues, this go around wasnt the same and still got shorted our handles for drawers that nearly took 6 months to get and still didnt get them all
Not very large selection but great value and prices.
Bran And Tim are The Go to People at Cabinets To Go !!
