They have comparable prices with their competitors. But, after I gave the installer the check, I was informed that I needed to go to Lowe’s and purchase an adhesive to finish the installation for where the carpet meets the hardwood floor. I thought that was why I paid for installation and with the other carpet installers, that was included in the price. Update: I was contacted by Bobby who gave me many excuses why they do not install thresholds. I was told they would return to install the threshold. I live 5 minutes from this store and have now waited 4 weeks for the installation. Tired of waiting, I purchased an adhesive and installed the threshold myself. That is when I discovered that the carpet had been cut crooked and too short on one side. So, I had to cut carpet pieces from the leftover carpet and piece it together for the threshold to work. Apparently, that is why the installer refused to install the threshold. I would not recommend this company.
Five stars. The Carpet Man Indy just finished doing 3,500sf of flooring in my office. Easy process, good pricing, patience, attention to detail, and follow-up. Highly recommended.
Just had our 5x8 batroom flooring redone. It looks great. The Carpet Man on the far east side where we live ..Cumberland- is worth the drive if you live somewhere else. We had our entire house recarpeted a few years ago. We started here then went to other flooring locations north and south. We came back here. They had the same selection, a better deal, and we liked the more personal costumer service. This is a Great place to buy flooring!! Dont let the modest little, older Building fool you. Aaron the owner really takes care of his customers. He will sell you what you want if he has to order it but he also offeres deals on product he has in stock. The installers were great, fast and did a good job. They did leave some caulking in my bathroom sink that luckily I saw before it dried and a cup from their lunch. They were friendly, answered my questions, and made sure to check with us with regards to directions for laying the flooring. If there is a problem Aaron or Bobby will make sure it gets taken care of.
I called these guys pretty last minute to replace carpet in my rental. They did great! They were professional, quick, and on-time. I would recommend them to anyone!!
We had a water leak in our laundry room that had hardwood floors. It ruined about 2/3 of our floor and the flooring was about 10 years old. Aaron, the owner of The Carpet Man, was able to find close to a perfect match for the flooring. His guys got it installed quickly. Unless I pointed it out you would never see the difference. We were really pleased!
My wife and I moved into a new home that had low end laminate with a number of scratches in it. We had used Carpet Man in the past at our previous home for some new carpet and the pricing seemed fair and install was good. This second time around experience started out great again. The owner came out with some samples to replace our low end laminate with some higher quality products. He measured the area we were looking to replace and emailed a tentative estimate the next day. We had an original budget of about $7500 and the estimate came in under that. We decided to investigate adding another room to the mix since we had some more room in the budget. It appeared the extra room would put us over budget after some discussion but that was ok. We went to the showroom location to pick out a final sample and move forward with the project. Unfortunately the owner who we had solely dealt with up until that point was out sick and the employee there that day lost the sale for the company. We explained to the gentleman we were there to pick out a final color/finish and see a final number. He proceeded to explain to us the different types of laminates which had already been done and told us we basically needed to choose between 2 or 3 different samples he had there. The entire showroom was filled with hundreds of samples I am sure ranging in different qualities and prices. It seemed very obvious that he wanted to get us out of the showroom as quickly as possible. He handed us 2 of the samples we needed to choose from and said go home to look at them. We were ready to finalize everything during that visit. I emailed the owner we had been working with when I got to the car and let him know we were still open to working with him but that our experience in the showroom was less than stellar and that wed wait until he made it back from sickness. We went to another flooring provider on the way home who didnt have the flooring we were looking for but did connect us with an installer who quoted considerably less in labor rate than the Carpet Man rate. We waited a few days to hear back from the owner and eventually ended up ordering $5000 in laminate flooring/pad from the local hardware. We still have not heard back from the owner. I assumed we would at least get an apology for the showroom experience and most likely some sort of effort to retain our business. Maybe our project/budget was small potatoes for them. Who knows.
I used the The Carpet Man for a small carpet repair job and couldnt be happier with the quality of their work. Aaron was super helpful on the phone and Bobby did an amazing job blending the carpet together. You cant even tell he replaced a corner of the room.
