Dr. McGrath offers exceptional care. She is kind, extremely competent and knowledgeable, and professional. I highly recommend her. In addition, the staff at Lens Crafters Optique in Glendale have consistently been helpful, friendly, and efficient. It is always a good experience.

I visited this location for an annual eye exam to get my contact lens prescription updated and my glasses re-fitted. They blew me away! The evening appointment availability was so nice, and the location is very convenient. The store was clean, and the staff were professional, friendly, and efficient. The equipment was state of the art, and the doctor was very friendly, calm, and thorough. Highly recommend!!

Brought my teenage son in for a yearly eye exam along with contact exam. The doctor was very nice and pleasant if I could rate her a 5 I would. However the eye associate “Molly” was not pleasant from the moment we walked in. She was not welcoming immediately interrupted another associated and stated that my appointment needed to be cancelled; then after the visit with the doctor she immediately wanted to schedule my son for a different appointment to trial out contact and to teach him. I told her no we wanted to do them at this visit this is why we scheduled. I also asked about purchasing glasses. She immediately asked for my payment for the “doctor side” and no instruction on purchasing glasses. I will only return here for his follow up and will not be returning thereafter. I would like to add that Charles was very pleasant.

Best Optical experience I’ve ever had, From walking in the front door was Charles greeting me and then continuing to assist me. We did some cool Retina eye exam. Completing my eye exam from Dr. Walden. Then Charles was right back assisting me with my choice of frames and lens options . He listened and considered everything I mentioned and he even had some other questions to ask me. I had quit wearing my other glasses altogether about a week ago and I once again very excited thinking about receiving a pair of glasses I can actually see through. I want to thank the rest of the staff out at the front desk as I was finishing up . You guys Rock ... I don’t want to go anywhere else .Thank you, Rickie Mccoy

I have been coming to this location for several years and have always had a good experience. I have seen staff come and go and have always been treated with courtesy and respect. My most recent visit was just within the past week, I had purchased a pair of glasses and was just not happy with the style and was in to exchange. During COVID they ask for you to put the glasses in a tray so they can be cleaned, I was there to exchange so I wanted to be sure I had a pair I liked which meant I tried on SEVERAL pair. I found a pair I loved, but felt bad because they had to clean all of the pairs I tried on. The gentleman who was cleaning the glasses reassured me he didn’t mind as long as I found the perfect pair....and I did! Thank you for not making me feel like a pain that I know I was! Also, thank you to the wonderful young lady who helped me and who very politely reminded me to keep my mask pulled up (I would pull it down to see what I looked like when trying on glasses and would forget to pull it back up) I truly appreciate your efforts to keep ALL your customers and staff safe!! Like I said, I’ve been coming here for years and will come for many more!!

I Appreciate how the Staff keeps their patients safe, they make sure everything is sanitizing and everyone keeps on their masks and the we the patients have our mask on also!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff

I called to get a same day appointment and they had availability! Everyone was nice and courteous. I had a wonderful conversation with the Doctor; she was very nice and very interesting. She gave me a much better prescription the one I had before wasn’t strong enough anymore. She even likes elephants the same as I do! The staff was patient and helped me select the frames that best suited me. I will only come here for eye exams from now on. Thanks to all of you; the ENTIRE visit was pleasant. Team work makes the dream work 😊

Fast and convenient.

This was my first eye exam since relocating to Indy and having the same eye doctor since I was a child. I felt very comfortable. The entire staff was very friendly and eager to answer all of my questions. Dr. McGrath, in particular, was very sweet and easy to talk to. The selection of frames was fabulous and working with the associates to find the perfect frames was fun! Ill certainly be returning for my future eye exams and eye wear needs.

I went in thinking I needed an exam but the employees looked me up and said I could just order my contacts. I was in and out in ten minutes. I had my baby with me so it was a relief I didnt have to do an exam and keep her entertained. They made my life so much easier! Thank you!

This review is based on 3 years of experience not just one encounter. The 2 stars is for the effort the employee put into finding my records and his friendliness.I have visited this store numerous times while the current staff has been employed there. It bothers me that Ive been there and spoken to them and they still managed to mess things up. There was another woman there before COVID, I could tell her something once and she remembered what we spoke about when I came in.I called to setup an appointment. The girl gave me my app and was ready to hang up.. I asked her did she need to know why I was coming because she didnt ask me.. When I told her she was dismissive and rushed me off the phone. I arrived 20 minites early and she handed me a form to fill out. I asked what it was for since I have been there recently they should have all updated information. She told me it was a new form I had to fill out. Come to find out it was a self pay form even after I told her I was using insurance and the insurance number on the form was wrong. She told me it was the number they use on their end. Again she wasnt listening and she was dismissive as she turned away to do something else. I went on further to explain why I was there and how I wanted to pay for my services. It wasnt until the pre exam that they listened when I refused to do the extra machine. The guy said the form was a self pay form and the cost was for the machine. A third time I explained why I was there and how I wanted to use my benefits. He had to search for me in the system and was only able to find that I had been there twice. They didnt have my last visit in the system.After my exam I looked at frames. I found what I liked which was more than half the price of my allowed benefit. Then the next guy quotes me a price of almost $300 for lenses. The bill shows over $400. He tried to bill my insurance for more than $150 when the frames were only $80 and then tried to bill me for the rest.I asked to just purchase the frames and go some place else to get cheaper lenses and thats when he went from caring about my eyes to being a salesman. He starting trying to convince me that any place else wont give me quality lenses and also said he has to remove the plastic sunglass lenses from the frames if I buy only the frames. Then at the end he still tried to convince me to pay put of pocket to save $20. I also had to explain for a fourth time how I was using my benefits.I went to another place. Told them what I needed once. In 20 mintues I had nice, high quality, designer frames and quality lenses for $70 out of pocket.Due to the girl not listening and being dismissive, losing medical records, having to repeat myself over and over, and the guy treating me like I was buying a car, I will no longer be a Lenscrafters customer.They were friendly but friendliness is not the only thing that matters in customer service.

Dr. Burkhardt and the LensCrafters staff at this location were great. The only thing I could wish for would be for more style options. I realize space is at a premium but I do wish something could be done. One last thought, the prescription doesnt automatically include pupillary distance. If you want the option of ordering glasses online you must request this measurement unless you do it yourself.

I had a great appointment at Lens Crafters. The eye doctor took her time and really talked to me about my vision and history. The staff was friendly and very helpful!

The doctor was really nice and is the only reason I am giving stars. The store/associates don’t deserve a good review. The first associate told me they’d help me “in a moment” but never addressed me again. I ended up working with someone else. This second person kept adding in costs and first told me that certain things were included with the frame but then charged me for it. Then she told me that she had to charge me for insurance but according to the website, it’s actually optional. She then gave me a specific date to pick up my glasses but they still haven’t shipped. I called them to check on the status and was told it would take at least another four days. I’m irritated at this point and I won’t be using LensCrafters again in the future.

Polite, thorough, and efficient.

Despite options to order online cheaper, the staff at this location has taken very good care of my family. Very pleasant and helpful. Only issue is that sometimes you have to wait a while.

I honestly dont think they charged my insurance when I went there in November despite me giving them the insurance card. They charged me close to $100 for the exam whereas my Anthem billing shows I only owed $15. This is incredibly frustrating and one of the reasons I will NOT spend another dime here.They have a nice selection of glasses and the optometrist I saw was friendly but those are the only two things I could say positively.In January I called them and asked if they could give me a quote over the phone for contacts. She answered with Anywhere from 250-500$ depending on the prescription. I told the lady I had just gone to this center in November and asked if they could look up my prescription then give me a quote as I did not have my prescription on hand. She refused to do it and said she could fax my prescription or I could pick it up. I wasnt asking for my prescription, I just wanted a better answer than the vague range of 250-500$. I ended up going elsewhere for my contacts and only paying $180.Lenscrafters is your typical chain business that doesnt give a damn about the individual.

I called to set up an appointment and they scheduled me. When I showed up they told me I was not in their system. I had to look through my phone to make sure I called the right place. When I showed the employee the number I called they said it was not the right number. I had to reschedule. When I left I called the number to cancel the appointment I had made. The employee I just spoke with at the desk answered. So apparently that was their number and they told me they scheduled me and then did not. I know mistakes happen but they did not even apologize for the inconvenience and just kept reiterating I was not in the system like it was my fault. That being said the gentleman who did my pre exam testing was very kind and apologized when I returned and Dr. Walden was also very nice.

They were very friendly and helpful when I was choosing my frames. I believe it was the manager I was working with. The prices were reasonable with my insurance.Thank you very much!

After a not so great experience at the Tippecanoe LensCrafters, my father and I came to the Glendale LensCrafters to see if there were any more frames for me to try on. As a general note, I am fairly picky when it comes to color and weight of the frames, and I was terribly anxious that this experience would result as the Tippecanoe experience had.My father and I were helped by Shelley, who went out of her way to treat us like family. She asked questions about my preferences and answered my questions about lense weight thoroughly. She assisted in picking out frames that were comfortable for me and then walked me through what I needed to add on to the lenses to make my days easier.After I was finished with what I needed done, my father asked a few questions about a frame he had seen at the Tippecanoe LensCrafters. Shelley found the frame for him and recommended against the progressive lense, because of the size of the frame. My dad had never been told that the lense needed to be a certain size to be an effective progressive lense. After talking about prices and additional options, he walked away with a much cheaper option in bifocals and significantly happier.We were both incredibly pleased with our experiences here, and definitely recommend Shelley for all your eye glasses needs.

I called at 1pm to set up an eye exam appointment. I was told there were no appointments after 2pm, so I should just come in anytime after that as a walk-in. I showed up at 2:30 and was told that the doctor left because there were no scheduled appointments so they couldn’t help me.

Dr. Walden and her staff is awesome, I refer people here all the time. Thanks for all that you do!!!
