I used to work there they wanted $800 for the S&W sport lol I got at grabagun for$459. Low pay $5 commission on each sale after first $1000 in sales a week. The range is terrible too.
Went into Indy Trading Post the other day and had fantastic service. The employees were very helpful, polite, and assisted me with what I was looking for including repairing one of my firearms. They introduced me to black rifle coffee which was amazing while waited on my repairs to be complete. Inventory they had was on point. Great experience, outstanding employees, and fantastic service. Thank you!!
Wont answer the phone. Store opens and closes randomly. Posted hours will say one thing, youll show up to pick up your weapon or ship during open hours and doors will be locked customers confused in the parking lot. Probably owned by a gun enthusiast with ZERO business skills.
Great bunch of guys and very helpful. Clean pistol range and reasonable prices.
Weather Im just getting information, actually shopping or just using the range. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Ive recommended to several people about having work done there and plan to do so myself. I also feel they have a really nice selection of firearms and firearm accessories as well as ammo and reloading equipment.
I like this place because the prices are lower than competition. Also nothing like the feel there, good vibes.
Went to this gun shop about a week ago because it was close to my house. I Was looking for a 410 single shot or 22 rifle. I was wanting to buy my grandson his first gun and take him Squirrel hunting down at Morgan Monroe.I was Just looking for something new that was cheap or used at a decent price in case he did not enjoy hunting I would not be out to much as I have all the firearms I need. Went into the store and just got plain ignored by the one worker in the store. They had at most seven or eight long guns for sale and about twice that amount of handguns. The selection was very poor and the store small. I ask the the gentleman working about my interest in a 22 or 410 and he stated we have one and its the Ruger 10/22 hanging on the wall and than he walked off and ignored me. I was thinking about asking him about ordering a gun for me but as I was looking around he walked by and just blurted out that is all we got in a sarcastic tone and he just keep walking. I just left the store at that point. I am not sure who is leaving comments about this store having a good selection and great service but as someone who was raised in Kentucky and grew up with and around guns all my life the selection and attitude at this gun store is way below any standard I am use to. I hope this review helps someone and have a great day..
Big props to Anthony. Always willing to help us when we use the range. He has taught me and my family a lot so wanted to leave him a well deserved positive review. Everyone here is good to us and I recommend this place.
Went in there and talk to a great associate under the name paul was super friendly and super helpful and very well knowledged on what he was doing and selling. This is the first place I think of when going to go buy a fire arm the place is very well kept and the staff are great and even if they dont have something in stick they try their hardest to get you one close to what you was looking for if not in stock If I could rats in a higher scale I would say 10/10 would recommend highly satisfied with this business
I stopped by there yesterday (6/23/21) and a sign on the door states that they are permanently closed.
This place is legit. Nice selection, knowledgeable reps, feels like family and CLEAN glass : ) ***Special thanks to Tony, who is FANTASTIC, he was extremely patient and thorough. This guy even went the extra mile to help me get acclimated with my purchase & ensure satisfaction. THANK YOU AGAIN.Gotta check out the range here!!
Excellent experience all around. Brian was very prompt in addressing my emailed questions before coming in, and was very helpful once I arrived at the store. Anthonys assistance with understanding what I was looking for both during and after the purchase was invaluable. I ended up bringing my family in for a basic safety and tactical session with him at their range, and we all left with a much better understanding and respect for gun safety. My family and I will definitely be back.
Knowledgable staff. Personal service
This is not a big box gun store. They sell guns but take the time to make sure you know what your doing with them. They also teach classes that every gun owner should take. Big 5 stars !
Went in to buy my first rifle, I was met with a friendly service rep. They had a decent selection of Ar 15s. The rep I believe was named Paul was very knowledgeable and helpful. I had to give a low star rate because they were not willing to open up the Ar and let me look at some of the internals. This is the only store I have been to that was not willing to let me look at the internals. Needless to say I bought my first rifle elsewhere. Not trying to bash this store just sharing my thoughts. I would go back to talk guns and for some of the cool services like their customization services.
This is probably the only place in town that has an actual instructor that knows what hes talking about. Anthony is always helpful to me even months after taking his class. I highly suggest taking his classes.
Stopped by this place for the first time a few days ago and met a guy named Anthony who gave me a tour of the store and range. He was so helpful that even days later our conversation still leaves an impression on me. This will be where I go from now on for all of my gun needs and am planning on getting training from this place as soon as money allows.
Iv bought 2 weapons and 2 holsters there in past few years. But last 2 trips I dealt with tall guy Curley brown hair. I hope he’s not proprietor. If so he should stay in back and handle paperwork and orders etc. Not deal with the public, not friendly, not customer oriented. No smiles. To busy questioning what you carry and how. And judge mental. Focus on what customers want. Give your advice and suggestions but let us determine what’s right for us and our needs. If I feel welcome and comfortable and educated . I’m going to return and spend money. If not, I do this.THX. We MIGHT see y’all again . OR NOT
It’s a cool little shop with rentals and a short range.
Went to purchace my first firearm here. The staff was knowledgeable. I was able to also recieve training. Worth it.
Says on Google they open at 11 and then on facebook they open at 10 which is it because I drove there with the anticipation to pick up my firearm even called multiple times before I went and there was no answer starting to feel like I was scammed !!!
Kind of surprised at the level of rudness from the moment I walked in. Was looking forward to spending some moola today. Thats fine though. Theres other places in town happy to take it.
First time around guns and my first time shooting a gun very friendly and awesome staff made everything super easy to understand and made me feel comfortable. They answered all my questions and gave me great advice
Good staff lots of help, nice range
Good place the shelf what you need
Do not buy any holster from the shooting instructor here he is selling trash and wont hear about a refund. Nice store but I wont be going back!
Definitely a good place to come and shoot. I cant really speak for any other aspect since I did not make any purchases. People were nice though. However, I want to find a place where I can go and do some rapid fire. Cant hold it against them thought! Id recommend this place to a friend.
Went with my family as a novice looking to learn. Tyler was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions. I also liked that the range was located on sight. Wednesday is free for ladies! I will definitely be back 😊
Came in with my boyfriend (who is black) to ask if we could pay to use the shooting range. The man working glared at us and refused us the ability to use the gun range since we had out of state licenses. There is no law in Indiana stating that you cannot shoot at a gun range with an out of state license. The man working had his hands on his hips and looked at my boyfriend and I distastefully when we asked if we could use the gun range. HORRIBLE customer service and felt hostility immediately upon walking in.
Purchased a shotgun online they took my money and have not contacted me it’s been a week!! I called and the person who answered the phone was rude, I sent emails and FB messages with no response. I look today and the website is down, in my opinion all the seem to do right is take your money, poor service all the way around.
Just started shooting recently at point blank and been having problems getting on target and wasnt sure what I was doing wrong. Saw this place and thought id just go in and look around. When i first went there was a huge guy standing there greeting me came from around the counter just to shake my hand. He asked what gun I had and about me in general. He looked intimidating the guy is huge like terminator. Turns out hes the teacher there so I told him about my shooting and right there in the middle of the day he dropped what he was doing taught me how to be better. He was so serious that I couldnt help but to listen to him and he seemed to only care about me getting better. from now on this is where im going they even have a range and I plan on taking a class from him. never going to point blank again.
Was just in there yesterday to buy a new gun. They have fair prices and this is my favorite shooting range also. Helpful and knowledgeable staff.
Great place and very friendly staff. It was my first time in there today and they treated me like an old friend!Spent an hour in the range. Also, it is very convenient to downtown.
TERRIBLE customer service!!! Been a loyal customer for years but after the way i was treated today and the way management handled it, I will NEVER EVER go back and will never recommend this place to anyone ever again. Waste of money on the remodel!
Great staff, very knowledgeable. Not like A lot of stores, have indoor range.. not the best. But a range. ..shoot point blank is the best range, atmosphere and store as a whole..go there if you can.
Purchasing experience was great. Answered questions and gave good advise. They threw in a couple of shooting range passes. Highly recommended.
I really like this place and especially like dealing with Anthony. Would recommend this place to anyone.
The people are nice but some of the guns are over priced and the ammo they gave me was rusty af. Lbs.all and out it was ok. The range isnt expensive though. Only $10! Thats a steal
First time in the shop today! Great experience, staff extremely helpful and nice. Prices are fair and they will work you. Definitely going back to take my son to the range.
These guys are great. Very helpful and friendly. They have the best prices in town.
Permanently closed?
Horrible experience. I tried to call 3 times with no answer. Then drove 30 minutes to find out the store is under construction and closed (no info about this on their web site). An employee came out and ignored me. Apparently the only way to contact them is through Facebook so if you dont have the app then they dont want you as a customer. If I could rate under 1 star then I would.
Great place! Honest and knowledgeable staff. Anthony is the best!
The staff here are professional, friendly and courteous. The range is very well ventilated. The cost for the range was very reasonable. The store is well-stocked. We intend to return!
I always go to the Trading Post when I want anything. Great staff, best prices and good selection.
I thought the place was an affordable place to shoot. I liked the manual target cranks you can get them out there a lot quicker than electronic versions. The staff working the day I went to the range I thought were extremely friendly, knowledgable and helpful. The ammunition prices were almost 50% more than what Im used to that was a little strange. I think it is a great place and would recommend it to anybody to shoot.
Friendly staff firearm and accessory price are high will low ball you on offer to purchase firearms range is cheap and ok there are better options for ranges in indy and definitely better places for prices on firearms
Iv always been taking care of fast and friendly service good bunch of guys
Range is super clean and convenient. I had a gun that I had replaced the sear in and was having issues with the spring. Two employees helped me try to seat the sear spring for 20 minutes or more and generally went above and beyond what I could have asked. Customer service is excellent, and I’m not a “gun guy.” I was unsure at first but that speaks much more to my own anxiety than their commitment to assist me. I feel like people walk into a gun store without any knowledge or research and want to buy a weapon that could take someone’s life and be a liability to the staff and other customers, wave an “unloaded” gun around, or generally act suspicious and then complain their every need wasn’t catered to.. I’ve never had a problem here and legitimately question the back story of reviewers who say they have.
Super friendly staff, very knowledgeable and share their honest opinion. The store and range are both old and small, but nothing wrong with that. They will knock down the price on some firearms if you are trying to buy more than one. NOTES: You can only test the firearms available to rent - and its not the largest selection. They DO NOT rent out rifles at the range (besides 22s) but they do allow them. Range time is $8 for 1/2 hour and they close at 7pm. If you want to test a firearm before purchase: you should probably drive the 20 minutes to Indy Arms Company, rent a firearm there (they have a huge selection and state of the art ranges - $10 1/2 range time), compare the price and then drive back to purchase if there is a large price gap.
I purchased my first firearm from Indy Trading Post. The owner was so accommodating in helping me to secure the Firearam I desired. The staff was more than helpful in giving me different option and were very friendly. Being new to shooting they were gracious with helping to educate and give me different options. I would highly recommend this store and they have become my store of choice for purchasing firearms in the future. Way to go Indy Firearms for treating this customer in a way that has earned my patronage!
Great place ! Anthony is an all around knowledgable dude with a great attitude hope to train with him again soon
Every guy in here knows there way around a gun, knows the invintory and is really helpfull. Gun range is cool to.
Cant wait to stop back in. Great place and people.
Boring, overpriced, understocked.
Be aware that the transfer fee isnt $15 anymore, its now an expensive $25! Still a good shop, I just wont get anymore guns shipped there.
When I go to a store I wanna go in and look and make my mind, not get questioned and have to tell someone exactly what I want before I get to go in and then get rushed when I wasnt done then to top it off ammo was double what I could of gotten it for delivered to my house. Not likely to go back unless its just for the range.
This place is a hole in the wall. 5 indoor lanes. Very affordable. The owner was there the first time and he left me with a great impression of the place. The next time I went, He was not there. Some tall overweight guy named Billy absolutely tainted the establishment. As a business owner, I respect customer satisfaction. Ill never go back because of him. Very rude and completely unprofessional. Hopefully management will seek to resolve this issue.
Asked if they have 7.62 by 39 and the rude amateur told me that I would have to come to the store to see for myself and hung up. Oh well, just one less customer.
Do they carry air guns?
Went there for the 1st time the guys were very decent and professional, I didnt go there to guy a gun but I ended up getting me 1911. its not big place but its awesome place. I will diffidently be going there again on regular bases.
DO NOT go here if you are a beginner or need to ask questions about the firearms for any reason. The salespersons are rude and laughed at me when I asked a simple question. Point Blank Firing Range is a much more friendly and helpful firing range just south in Greenwood.
Used to love this place, but after the way I was treated today, I will never give them anymore work or buy from them. DO NOT GO HERE!! Over priced and they do not care about theyre customers.
This store lied to me they told me they had a gen 4 glock for sale and when i git home i couldnt find the back straps for it. Long storry sgort they sold me a gen 3 and was told it was a gen 4
Not bad.. good people nice and helpfull. it was cheep to shoot small place but all n all good time..
Love this place!!Great guys working here that are very friendly & helpful. They have a range in the back you can either bring your own gun or rent one from them.Same thing with your amo & targets bring your own or buy from them. They have a large selection of firearms.
Stop by on Sunday at 4:11 pm Closed on there sign it says open till 5:00 pm
I have bought everyone of mine and my wifes fire arms from here... you wont find a better gun shop.. best hands down...
Great people
I love visiting this place. They have anything I might need.Being a south paw it is hard finding left handed holsters, the selection Indy trading post has is off the chain!!!.I.wont waste my time shopping anywhere else. Thanks guys.
Awsome gun range amazing prices and the staff is amazing always helpful, nice and polite and if u have a question or a bunch of questions they take the time out of their day to answer them and explain anything u don’t getDefinitely favorite range
Helpful staff. The ranges prices are good and its 10 minutes from downtown which makes for good lunch time shooting if you work downtown.
Shop is small, which is fine. Guys lack personality, who cares. Mostly the reason for the 3 stars is the location and the lanes. Its moderately priced, I suppose, but you dont necessarily feel safe going here due to the area ITP is located. Moreover, the lanes area is TINY. There are only a few lanes, and it looks like they were made in 1950 and havent had any updates/renovations since. My wife and I went once, and neither of us felt comfortable the whole time. We didnt go again.
My experience with these guys was not a good one. Called into the shop today looking for a price quote on a firearm just like I have done in the past. Usually the staff will tell me if they have the firearm in stock and give a price quote...no problem. This time the guy who picks up the phone has a crappy attitude and says I dont give them over the phone! I explained to the guy that I have never had a problem getting a price quote from them and he says Well your gonna have to come in and check it out because we dont give them over the phone anymore! Mind you I called and requested a quote last week and received it no probably. Your loss Indy Trading Post. I wanted to make sure I brought enough cash with me and because your crappy customer service I will spend that money elsewhere!!!
Friendly staff. Knowledgeable.
Great place, items move really fast.Always something different.stop in and see for yourself.
The man that work that work there are helpful and talk to you and understand what you are looking for. I have been to some of the other shooting ranges and for the cost of shooting that are the best around Indy.
Good variety. Friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable prices
I enjoy the place, they have plenty of accessories and merchandise. The range is BRIGHT and I can see what Im shooting at.
Helpful staff in slightly run down premises. Primarily guns without much hunting equipment.
Aye Shout out to Tyler for fixing my Glock ...best gun place in the city Otg.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff, fair prices. One of the best gun shops in Indianapolis, especially considering its size.
Good prices, nice folks. Nice range.
The price was pretty cheap but when I was finished one of the workers walked up with my id and said, give me $10, and ended his state with just that. No Sir, please, or any another respectful request. After asking what?, he stated I hit the metal clip on the clothes hanger that they have to hold paper targets. First learn to be tactful about a situation like that, second the hole was obviously a 9mm and I was shooting 45acp, and third what clothes hanger with a metal clip costs anywhere near $10? Facility was very small and ghetto, hand crank for target cable and the cable on the hand crank came off multiple times while using it. Despite the down side of size and quality of facility, I would have giving them 4 stars, since it was cheap and got right in a lane, if it wasnt for the unprofessional and rude worker. If you want a place where they have no professionalism, respect for their customers, or up-to-date facilities than this is your ideal place for you. Also, looking through other reviews this guy has been representing this company poorly for some time from the description they give (taller overweight guy). Beech Grove is closed for now and I was looking for a replacment range but this place was a one and done.
Great place buy gun very nice people who no guns and shooting range to
I had a great experience here today. I brought in my Ar15. They installed Bravo company kmr handrail for me. Did not even charge me! The service is awesome everytime i come into the store.
Tyler is a beast. Very knowledgable about guns and accessories. I will never go anywhere else. I drove 45 minutes just to come back here. Got a .40 Smith and Wesson, got my wife a 9mm with a belly band. Was in the process of buying a house and couldnt pay my chiappa pak-9 off by the 60th day. So Tyler extended it for me to make sure I wouldnt lose my gun. GREAT customer service, great company. Anyone looking to buy any gun, they will make sure you are well taken care of and happy from the moment you walk in. I appreciate their service. I will keep returning. Even 45 minutes away.
Great selection in store and online, friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Nice place didnt have what I wanted nice people
Saw these guys at the Indy Gun Show 1-2 months ago, were extremely knowledgeable & helpful to my wife looking to buy a revolver. Went to their store last week, ordered S&W 642 with CrimsonTrace laser grip sight, just picked it up. Shot it at their brand new shooting range, had a great time. Matt and all the people there had great suggestions and fun to talk with. Wife signed up for lessons. Highly recommend them! Store is right across the street from the McDonalds on south Madison Ave.
This place is great 👍🏾.. they are very friendly and patient..
A small place. The range could use some updates but overall not a bad place
We bought a gun from there and we cant even speak to any body the gun we bought jams up so they have been closed so long we cant even take it back
They have the best prices Ive found in Indy. Their indoor range has 5 or 6 stalls.
Great experience at the range. Very friendly staff.
Went in this past Saturday to browse and possibly make a purchase. Place was kinda busy and with only 2 people working made it kind of frustrating. While one guy was cold and rude the other was more concerned with the chewing tobacco he had hanging out of his lip and spitting in his water bottle in front of customers. I know its pity but come on. Did some business when they first opened up and I will not be returning.
Absolutely love this place. Great staff and great service.
