Apna Bazar is a great place to buy Indian groceries.I found the price is pretty less as compared to other big stores and the store staff is friendly too.I feel happy when I do grocery shopping with Apna Bazar
Great selection. Very reasonable prices.
They are not open now.
Very reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Good variety of fresh, dry and frozen goods. Only drawback is that prices are not clearly displayed.
Nice place, no price tags so you never know the price until its ringed up, depending upon how you are it might go up, it might go down
Nice location, helpful staf
Please do check the date of any product which you buy guys. Because almost many products what they are selling is expired. For instance once I grabbed a yougurt box and I saw the jogurt was expired a month back and still they are selling those. I called a worker who is an old guy and explained him its expired and he tried to give me a lesson saying that yogurt will be good even after 1 month of expiry. And this is not the first time previously I saw a same issue with dosa batter and I complained to them. Please make sure to buy groceries from another store rather than this and dont waste money on expired groceries.
DO NOT GO THERE..... Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. Some Products are expired & veggies not fresh at all. Price are almost double Compare any other Indian grocery. Customer service really bad. Employees & Owner very very rude. I hard owner was telling customer “Don’t come to my store” over .50 cents.
My wife and I were getting some shopping done. She was expecting at the time. We took our basket of items and stood at the checkout for ten minutes. Employees at the store saw us standing there but took their time doing other things. Then, when we finally had someone ring up our items, the person, a older lady, at the counter refused to put our groceries in the bag. Instead, they rudely gave thebags to my wife and pushed our items on the counter toward us.I felt that we were treated unfairly because I do not look Indian/Pakistani (desi) and my wife does, even though I am. But none of that should matter, customers should be treated fairly. She was speaking all cheerfully to other customers there, except us.We will be going to Bombay Market in Greenwood from now on. Far more superior service
Store doesnt have proper marked prices and charge as they like
Very good help and large range.
Awesome place to buy all Indian stuff. It looks like an exact replica of a store from India. It has got a great collection of foods and other items to buy. It has recently been bought by new owners and they told me that fresh vegetables come in on Thursday and Sunday every week. I like this store more than other Indian stores in Indianapolis.
The restaurant inside is different, but serve really good food, plus their is a market inside that sells international food from India, Siberia, and more. Give it a look.
Good place to buy mutton and chicken..
OMG, theses people are hoarders .too much stuff, no price tags and bought indian pickle when came home it was expired. Stay away and chose other grocery stores instead of these guys. definitely worse place i have ever been.
We were in Indianapolis staying at Riley Hospital when I drove past India Plaza. I love Indian food, movies, music, clothing, and jewelry so I stopped in to see what they have. They are a one stop shopping place with so much selection and the people that work there are wonderful. I found stuff here that I have not been able to find at my local Indian store. We will definitely be stopping here each month on our trips to Indianapolis.
Such a heavy weight off our minds now that we have found this wonderful place! My wife and I are both happy and joyous to have found this amazingly well rounded store so reasonably close to us!Being in South Florida for 40 years we have learned to love and cook many Indian dishes. This bountiful place is as well stocked as anyone of our markets were in Florida! As well as so clean and fresh! On entering the store we felt a burden lift away! And we got to stock up on many staples that we have come to love in the Indian diet.Romantic chutney and gulag jamon rose water to season with many types of flour that most Americans have no idea existed. Millions of spices in the raw state or in exotic blends, just the collective aromas are hypnotic. We found our favorite samosas too!!Please, stop and look at the tiny piece of the garden of Eden right here in Indiana!Don’t ever be afraid of asking for help or how to use things you come across, the staff treated us like welcome guests and did bend over backwards to help us find everything we needed.Won’t you please, give them a visit!
They have the spices i need.I like to buy incense, hand rolled very nice.
Excellent customer service, food was great, and samosa chana chaat is probably the best in town at a competitively low price. I would highly recommend visiting this grocery market.
Its a nice place but needs some clean up.
First time visited Apna bazar, as a first timer I didnt like the way the stuff is organized in the store. All the grocery are stored but prices are missing. Some are labeled but then they turned out to be more price at counter than the label. You have all the stuff though but not organized, not clean!
Worst place to get grocery.. so many items are expired.. always gets shuts down a year and then reopened within a month or so..Landlord... you got a worst tenant.. ever..
Decent place for Indian groceries. Competes with Patel Brothers right across the street. My personal preference is for Patel.
The opening time is not accurate at all!!!
Nice location. Should be organised a little better for better shopping.
They are friendly, nl matter where you from or who are, nice place!!!
My go to market on Indys Westside. They have everything you need at a much cheaper price, especially buying in bulk. If you buy the food make sure its fresh. My consort and I bought day old stale aloo/samosas that matched the cashiers attitude. But everyone has those kind of days.
BEWARE! meat buyers,If you order 4 pounds chicken you will get less then 3 pounds, when we asked them, they told more than one pound will go in skin & Fat & For Goat, if you order 4 pounds, you will get only 3.75 Lb.Note: we asked, he told us he is doing same business from 12 years.
Good place to shop for indian food stuff. The price tags were missing on many items though.
Great prices, most of you have everything you need for Indian grocery
Great price and you will find everything indian grocery you will need here. Good customer service !!
Worst store with worst customer service. Rude management. Found rotten vegetables here. Patel Brothers have better and fresh products and it’s just across the road.
Can get all Indian groceries with great produce
Apna Kitchen has best Indian food in the city
Was exactly what I was looking for, plus workers & customers helped me find items I could not find as they could read the labels.
Seriously the worst customer service. I waited at the register for 10 mins before someone actually showed up to ring me out. Finally when he did he was like no credit card under $10, buy more stuff. If you are in business I dont want to hear about your stupid credit card fees. Taco bell rings my card for .89. I will spread the word this is the worst Indian grocery in I ndy. Go to Patel Bros across the street, they are so much more helpful.
Yummy food, lots of vegetarian choices, great price, lovely ambiance.
Customer service was great.dosa tasted so delicious
Clean and all types of fresh vegetables just to name a few
Worst place i’ve ever been to. Found white little insects in Golden Temple atta. Wont return without the receipt. Bought 5 packs cost me alot. My kids were eating it for two weeks. I wish there is an option of no star. Sick people how could they sell something like that.
Awesome authentic indian food @Apna Kitchen-buffet as well as Alacart..
Great store bangali guy good worker
Really fun and eclectic Indian market and bazaar. They have restaurants, clothing shops, and a salon on site.
Nice place for everything Indian. Loved it.
Good lot of variety of indian food
New experience with a different cultural cuisine. Musr try!
Poor service. Budget at least 15-20 mins to stand in line waiting to check out. Its just one counter and theyre so slow.
Well stocked indian grocery
Found fried panner in the freezer. Yum!
VERY GOOD PLACE TO BUY GROCERIES
Did not have what was advertised... Wasted over an hour of drive time.
