I used DMC to move from Palm Desert CA to Redding CA on a 53 foot semi tractor-trailer. There were two separate homes to move 30 miles from one another and one automobile on the one semi. The price was good, the coordination went without a hitch, the support was excellent, the service was top notch and on time. I sing high praises for the experience with DMC and will use them again, hands down. Thanks to Abraham, the warehouse manager, the driver and the crew for a job well done. Oh one thing, a lamp was broken because I packed it incorrectly...ha ha. Many smiles and thanks.

I sold my home while out of state. Because of Covid 19 I could not come to supervise and pack up my belongings myself. Desert Moving was recommended to me by a friend.....specifically Joe Gallegos. He handled everything : arranging the pick up, and the storage of my articles. When I was able to return and retrieve my articles, they delivered, as promised, to the address of my choice, all undamaged and in perfect condition. I would recommend them to anyone.

The rep that came out to assess our moving project was nice and thorough with itemizing, quoting with the proper moving materials needed. The price was reasonable for moving our expensive items from a single floor home to a two floor home. Moving day scheduled for Saturday 7am. The movers call and tell me they are running late and will arrive in 30 minutes. 30 minutes go by and tell me they are running late and will take another 40 minutes. Arrival time? 8:45am. They enter the house and knew nothing about what needed to be moved note the expensive items. AND! They had no idea about the new home being 2 floors. So the movers start complaining and telling me I need to pay an additional $150 cash for them to move items upstairs. Nice guys, but it seemed like there was no communication from the business rep to movers. The movers complained the entire time about how heavy the items were and where they needed to be placed. Finally, the head mover tried adding services and adjusting the price. For a company that is suppose to be professional, sure tried taking advantage of an elder. Buyer beware and stay clear from this moving company.

We got sooooo LUCKY with this great team!First of all we had a time crunch, however Doug, Joe, Eddy, Andrew, Mike, Jason and Victor pulled off a whole house pack out and I watched every single piece of furniture get carefully blanket wrapped, shrink wrapped and carefully loaded into 3 trucks!!!! I’m telling you the furniture was heavy, heavy heavier!!! The Guys were friendly, hard working, and it was an orchestrated by lots of experience. I would ONLY call Desert Moving Company when any of my family, friends or clients need a moving company!

I had my household in storage for over 4 years and then did an out of state move to Florida. Joe Gallegos is a gem and the rest of the local Indio staff was great. Unfortunately, when my shipment arrived in Florida, there was damage to several furniture items.

I’ve never had a great moving experience before so when moving halfway across the country I was very skeptical of moving companies in general to start out. Though after working with Abraham from Desert moving my view has definitely changed! Abraham helped to answer my countless questions, he was very responsive to my calls and helped accommodate my timing requirements. The movers were also on time to pick up/drop off my items and handled them with great care (and very quickly might I add). Overall would highly recommend using!

I was so impressed with Desert Moving Company! They had the best price (by far) of the 3 businesses I called and they were very nice and professional! Joe came out, did a walk through and explained everything to us. He gave us his personal cellphone number to call if we had any questions. I called several times and he answered on the first ring! We had packed much of our belongings ourselves and left all of the more difficult items for Desert Moving Company. They came in and quickly and efficiently packed all of our most difficult items. They were respectful of our artwork and furniture and worked very diligently. Our belongings are in storage for 5 months but I am confident everything will be in good condition upon delivery.

Desert Moving Company handled my relocation, which included 7 months of storage, without incident. The furniture was well protected and delivered in a timely manner. All items where inventoried and accounted for. Their pricing was fair and a good value for the service provided. I would use them again and certainly recommend them.

I paid $150 per month for indoor storage of a classic car, even giving them a cloth cover for even more protection . They stored it outside !! In the rain! I dont even drive it in the rain. And then they didnt even clean it up even though they knew I was coming for it.When I called them a week later to complain to the manager, I was grudgingly offered the months fee backBut then they charged my cc $300 more than I owed. I now have my money back.There has to be a better moving and storage co out there

The people who helped me had my best interest at heart. Felipe helped me understand what the costs would be and provided a very specific estimate, and scheduled the move at my desired date and time. Jorge who performed the moving part was very professional, completely understood how I wanted things to be unpacked on the other end, and asked questions when he needed more information. Desert Moving and Storage was prompt, very careful and efficient. Carefully wrapped all items prior to packing, and blanket wrapped all furniture before moving out of the home. We did not have a single thing damaged. They were cost competitive and would recommend them.

This is my review from my move Sat 5/29/2021. The packers came on Friday and were careful, quick and efficient. They know what theyre doing! Eddy was the crew leader for both the packing and moving days and was great. Each of the men on both days were friendly and cheerful. The move went very smoothly and they did a great job! I would definitely use them again.This was my review from my move in February 2018: There were a couple of minor hiccups at the very beginning due to a new phone system on their end but everything went very smoothly after that. Josh came out and gave me the estimate. Everything was very friendly and professional. Packing materials were delivered as promised and then collected at the end. Phillip and his crew were terrific on moving day and did everything possible to make sure that I was satisfied with all being where it needed to be. My move included a second stop at a storage unit and the crew was very patient with me taking things off the truck at the new residence to see if they would fit in my new space and if they didnt, putting them back on the truck to take to storage, all with a smile on their face. I would definitely use them again. They worked quickly and efficiently. The final tally was lower than the estimate which was a very pleasant surprise.

You wanna get screwed without the hassle of meeting someone for a drink? Call these guys. You want to be over-charged and under-served? Call these guys NOW! You want to be ripped off? Again, call them immediately.I made the mistake of asking my real estate agent for a recommendation for movers. He said this guy was really nice and always pitching their moving services at industry meetings and gatherings.I am not a moving novice. Over the past 35 years I have moved cross-country, internationally (London, twice from Chicago) and the local same-city moves. This move was within the same complex, less than a quarter of a mile from door-to-door. The cost? Well, youd say I was lying if I said $1500, or even $2000. And you would be right. The cost was $2780. I did a lot of the sorting and packing easy unbreakable stuff (books) myself. I was moving from a two-bed into a one-bed, and the delivery was straight into the garage to accommodate the contractor doing renovations.I mean, seriously, three grand? One level homes, no stairs? Why even bother with the lube, these guys will screw you until it hurts and bleeds.DO NOT USE THEM.What is messed up about YELP, is that you cant give no stars... that is my rating NO STARS.

We used Desert Moving 10 years ago and were very happy with their service. We shipped furniture to our daughter in Austin, TX. Now we are using them again shipping to the same place. Joshua and his assistant were so nice and efficient taking excellent care of wrapping and packing our items for shipping. VERY HAPPY WITH DESERT MOVING and would highly recommend them to everyone.

This was the second time I have used Desert Movers. I was referred by a friend who had used the many times.They do excellent work! The movers are all great and willing to go the extra mile. This latest move was booked with four days notice! They came in under the estimate, and even came out the day after to move a large mirror that I had forgotten about. Would recommend them highly!

Used them in the past, they were great. Hired them again for a move. The guys showed up, spoke Spanish to each other, a language my wife doesn’t understand. Got back in their truck and drove off without telling her why. Then charged my credit card for over $660. They stated the house wasn’t ready to move. Never use them again.

The guys that moved me worked very hard and pretty fast. The only beef i have with them is the price. Charged me for 12 hours at $200.00 per hour. Was only here for about 8-9 hours. Pretty good movers but watch for the price.. To high....

The men on the truck were professional movers as well as comedians. I cant think of one thing that Desert Moving did wrong. When you make that first call ask for Felipe and you will be on your way.

I’ve used this company a few timesto move but last June was the last time. Everything was going well until the “lead man” showed up. He made the guys unpack the truck and pack it up the way he wanted. Then he overcharged for hours worked. Because he didn’t pack up the truck the way I needed so my bedrooms were off the truck 1st, I had to wait long into the evening for my kids bed to comeoff the very back of the truck. They also manhandle your furnishings. Never will I use them again.

Efficient and careful, Desert Moving Company moved some of our furniture from La Quinta to Laguna Niguel. I would recommend them.

About a week and a half before my move, I received a quote for moving services of about $400. This was after providing a very detailed list of all my belongings, the addresses of both houses, and all other information they asked for. I signed the quote and made my plans. Then 24 hours before my move, I received a phone call from a different employee, telling me that after reviewing the information on my order, my move would take much longer than I was quoted....and cost twice as much. He seemed very surprised when I cancelled my move. I believe the term is bait and switch.. I cancelled in writing via email, and never received a response, no apology, nothing. My move was completely messed up at the very last minute and they made no attempt to make it right. Makes me wonder if the low-ball quote is something they do on a regular basis.

I had a mixed experience with his company. I needed a fast booking (within a two week window). When I set up the quote day, they promised the move day was clear and they would keep it open for me. When the quote walkthrough happened, they slot hadnt been kept for me. That was a huge problem and had to be moved to the following morning, which impacted house cleaning afterwards etc. and my other work.I was told they would arrive 7am sharp. They called me around 7:05 telling me they were loading the truck from base and finally arrived at 7:40. That wasnt a good thing for me either. Moving day is stressful enough. To be honest, Im not convinced it took 3 guys 40 minutes to prep the empty truck and drive a few miles from base camp to my house. Felt a bit like another way of adding time to the deal (as it was based upon hours).Speaking of the quote, he estimated 6-8 hours. I told him I didnt think it would take anywhere near that long as it was only the large heavy items and the rest we had already moved ourselves. He proceeded to tell me hed been doing this for 27 years - blah blah. Well Id been moving my stuff from the UK to the USA and form Stat to State for over 20 years (at least 10 moves) so I had a pretty good sense of what would be expected.I was correct, it took early over 4 hours. Because it went just over the 4 hours they had to charge anther 30 minutes. I suspect had they left on time that wouldnt have happened. SO that seemed a bit questionable to me.The 3 moving guys themselves were good. However I noticed bad paint scrapes from a doorframe down the side of our fairly new washer and dryer that were not there in the original location. I was very disappointed in that as this really should not have happened. It was one of the few times I didnt have eyes on them. Also they didnt have any tools of any kind to disconnect the washer/dryer even though in the quote they knew to do that. Seemed a bit odd to me as they had to ask neighbor.So a slightly mixed bag and not as smooth as I would have liked, especially with the two miscommunications there. But it was quick and the price seemed fair.Hope that helps?....

Three movers packed and moved glassware, dishes, artwork and some furniture into storage for us. They were prompt, professional and efficient. Everything was well packed and I have no concerns about damage or breakage. I not only recommend them, but will be using them again when we move our stored goods to our new residence in Los Angeles.

The Lead, Carlos was personable and cooperative, however the rest of the crew had an attitude, particularly when the they saw the home we moved to had an upstairs. We were told by Joe to leave the contents of our Armoires inside the Armoire. At the destination home, the crew refused to carry the Armoires up the stairs until all the drawers and shelf contents got dumped downstairs. My husband was left to carry all eight drawers upstairs plus both of us had to carry armfuls of clothes upstairs, making many trips. We had carefully marked each box as to where it should be placed in our new home. However, many were placed in the wrong room or in the garage were clearly label for the kitchen, guest room and den. It has taken us over a week to get it all straightened out.My husband tipped the guys $100. He now regrets it. It was the worst and most difficult move weve ever made due to the sloppy work these men performed.

I was just moved by them out of my home, into storage and then a month later into my new home.The company has one guy on the move that tags and numbers each item, 1/3 were never tagged so the inventory list was NOT matching, obviously... my 3.5 foot Buddha that they had bubble wrapped and packed has gone missing, they are saying it was numbered yet when delivered the number/tag system they did not bother using as so many were missing it.VERY confusing and shady. We did NO inventory sheet when delivered.BE CAREFUL!!!Their response to my lost Buddha and broken glass bird is;Hello Jordan,I have reviewed the claim for the move under Evan Miller.Regarding the Buddha statue, I review the inventory sheet and it was delivered, with existing damage ackowledged at the time of pick up. I have attached a copy of the inventory sheet disclosing this.On the broken items, no additional high value protection was agreed to or purchased for the move. That leaves us with the Standard Movers Minimum Liability Coverage of 60 cents per pound per item. This coverage comes with a $100.00 deductible before items are repaired or replaced. The coverage works as follows; if the item weighs 10 pounds, then it is valuated at $6.00. In this case, with a $100.00 deductible, repair or replacement would not be feasible. I have attached a copy of the DocuSign signed by Mr. Evan Miller.It is our intention for every move to go as smooth as possible, however accidents do occur and we apologize for the inconveniece this has caused.
