The Funcrest is now better than ever! The new owners have done a wonderful job of sprucing the place up, without losing the old school feel and charm. I have fond memories of the Funcrest from my childhood, and I am so happy that it has been returned to its former glory and then some. The picnic tables are clean and the food is hot and delicious. Long live the Funcrest.

My wife and I love this place. The 1/4 pound hot dog is awesome as well as the Classic Fried Chicken sandwich. Their fries are excellent and the ice cream is delicious!

Loved their breaded tenderloin and chicken sandwiches, comes out just right. The western burger was nice and hot 🔥 along with shoestring fries.

Everything a summer food place should be. They have gone above and beyond to create a beautiful spot to eat. I cannot have gluten, so most of the food is off limits to me, but the staff went out of their way to find out if the ice cream is gluten free, and most of it is! Super friendly and clean, too. Great family stop.

If you havent tried the tenderloin(grilled or fried)......you are truly missing out. I wish this place wasnt so close to my house because now Im craving this meal all the time!! But seriously, this place is amazing. Clean. Nice people. Great food. Love it!!

I cane here as a kid, walked from the West Overlook Campground, remembering how great it was then. Brought my family back here many decades later from Illinois, it still is the greatest.

The music had us dancing smiling out in the seating area its friendly and had great service and good food and yummy ice cream !!!! Cant wait go back !

This was the most surprisingly good food and icecream Ive had in a while. The decor was adorable and everything was so much more up to date and professional than I thought it would be. I thought it was a bait shop that also sold ice cream but its a beautiful outdoor restaurant. Also the servers were so friendly. A perfect Sunday afternoon.

This place is conveniently located on the way to the Coralville reservoir. We recently enjoyed a great experience having lunch at this place. They have plenty of seating outside enabling you to social distance. And the food tasted wonderful and the portions just were right for the kids.

Super lovely little Dairy & Grill. Stopped here while going in a drive and it was such a lovely experience. The people are nice, the food was amazing, ice cream was awesome, and it overall was beautiful.

What a fun place! Very nostalgic. Good food and good music. Wonderful people. History is something to read about. We were here on way back from South Dakota. Was right across from our campground - very convenient and dangerous - had 2 banana splits while we were ther.

We love this place! The burgers and fries are delicious. My husband enjoys the hot chicken sandwiches. We’ve never had a bad experience and dine here all throughout the summer. We’re always sad to see it close up for the winter.

Amazing burgers, and great ice cream. A little hidden and out of the way if you dont know coralville the best but perfect little area to get food at. The area also has a camp sight and a bait shop to add to the whole lake experience of the area.

Stopped here after a visit to the dam and fossil gorge. Great shakes and burgers. Slow service because everything is made to order but that also means stuff is fresh and hot when you get it.
