Yes the lines can be long especially at peak times. This could be alleviated if everyone used the app and prepaid in advance. When I have prepaid with the app, it is only a couple of minutes if that long to get the meds and be on my way. I have been behind people who have to go through everything and often have no idea of the cost and give it back because it is too much. If you join their notifications system through the app, you’ll know how much it is Everyone use the app and speed things up for everyone else. Also the personnel are great.
This particular location is especially busy. There’s usually a long line for the pharmacy especially during peek hours. That being said, the staff is always wonderful! 🥰 They’re friendly, polite and just plain outstanding. I’m sure they get more than a fair share of angry or rude customers due to the long wait times but nevertheless they’re always cheerful and have a smile on their faces. 💙 The last few times I’ve tried avoiding the lines by going at the crack of dawn and Lance, the pharmacist has gone above and beyond for me. He even filled a prescription on the spot in about 10 minutes for me. I appreciate the entire staff and can not express my gratitude towards them for their outstanding customer service. Keep up the great work guys and keep on, keeping on!
I went to this pharmacy to pick up a medication. At the window was a lady named Monique. She was very rude and stated she couldnt get my medication because there is a line. Yet,, there was only one car behind me and I stated this. She was giving me dirty looks and still did not give me my medication. I never had this issue before, she refused to go grab the medication. I dont understand why you would work in a medical field if you are going to be judgmental and nasty to patients. I recommend you seek a different field. I hope no one has to encounter this woman.
My recent experience was HORRIBLE!!! My sons pediatrician called his albuterol in on Thursday. I stopped by Friday evening around 7 to pick it up and was informed that it would be another hour. I sent my friend by today (Saturday) at around 3 and they told her 30 minutes. When my husband returned at approximately 830, the prescription was STILL not ready. RIDICULOUS!!! I am so disappointed in this CVS!
Wasnt very crowded and nicely set up. Everything is easy to find and it just feels like a cozy place. We went for the minute clinic, it was a bit of a long wait, but it was expected at the time we went. Just make sure to wear a mask when going!
I stayed on the phone for over an hour just trying to speak to someone on whether or not they accept Tricare because we are a military family. Noone answered the phone. When I showed up to CVS it was not that busy at all and the workers behind the counter were laughing and playing around. Completely unprofessional. My daughters, 3 months old and 4 years old, are now delayed in recieving their medication because of negligence and complete unprofessionalism. I am headed to Wallgreens now that I should have come to to begin with.
Why doesnt this pharmacy ever answer the phone??
Dont go here if you expect to get your prescriptions in a timely manner. This has been my pharmacy for years and years, but the last few months has been horrible for filling prescriptions. Last month, they had my prescriptions for days from my doctor. After 3 days, I went to pick up the prescriptions and they were not ready. Today, I need an antibiotic filled. The prescription has been there for hours and its still not ready. And forget calling...the pharmacy NEVER answers the phone. Im thinking seriously about transferring my prescriptions to another pharmacy.
Dropped off a prescription for my son was told it would be 30 to 45 minutes, waited and checked back and was tomd it qould be an additional 30 minutes and when I questioned why was then told its a 3 hour wait for prescriptions. When I explained it was told 30 to 45 minutes when dropping it off and that had I known it would be 3 hours I would have taken it somewhere else they just looked at me unconcerned. I said so you lied to get the business and arent the least bit concerned....very poor customer service
There’s a reason this location has a low rating. They have more clients than they can support, they are understaffed, they don’t pay attention to detail, and they close the drive thru whenever they want. I’ll never forget going to pick up my medication one evening and seeing a sign in the window that the drive thru was closed. I went inside, and no one was back there. I tried calling the pharmacy number hoping that someone was in the back. Nothing. I went to the front of the store to get help, but they couldn’t find anyone either. While my medication wasn’t pertinent that day, I would have been HOT if it was an emergency. They also constantly forget syringes when I pick up my toddlers’ liquid allergy medicine. They won’t even put the little device in to make the liquid medicine work using the suspension method. 🙄 They seriously need to train these stand alone CVS stores like they do the ones in Target. They are not equal!
Absolute worst at answering their phone. Impossible to get ahold of. I have called countless times over a few weeks period with no answer trying to refill a prescription. Finally had to call another CVS in the area. 0/10
Pharmacy is terrible! There can be 10 people back in the Pharmacy working and theyll be a few just standing around watching the line grow longer. I called while I was in line to see how many would answer the phone, they just stand there watching it go off. Youll call to have a prescription filled at by a certain time hours and hours before and when you come to pick it up its still not ready! Ladies who obviously have issues with other ladies that work in the pharmacy are showing it right in front of the customers. Customer Service isnt the same anymore and its a shame!
Great store always have a wonderful experience need to be aware of who they put in pharmacy to assist customers
None of the staff is friendly and they stand around instead of waiting on customers
Tiffany W. is one of THE most unprofessional nurses in the Minute Clinic that I’ve ever come across, she refused to speak with her co worker to confirm that I came for an appointment 20 minutes prior and waited for assistance, instead she slammed the door in my face and saw another patient. I will never come back to this location for a visit.
Brad went out of his way to help awesome job brad and team
I am a regular customer of CVS . I have been under the weather the pharmacist had the medicine I needed . Prescription only and told my husband to bring me back to the minute clinic . They closed at 5:30 so I was calling the store sitting on hold got ready super quick made it to the store by 5:26 still wasn’t getting anywhere on the phone was standing by the minute clinic when a lady said can I help you and I explained my issue and could she please help me and she said no we close at 5:30 I said it’s 5:31 isn’t there anything you can do please I’m in pain and she said no that the other dr was helping with corona tests and they took last Apts at 5:15 . The store was very empty . The Doctors care I go to was closed . I was really upset. We spend tons of money on prescriptions here and now I’m sitting at the Urgent Care for 2 hour wait because the person working the minute clinic couldn’t take 2 minutes to help me out . I’m glad I wasn’t bleeding to death but we are in CVS every week getting prescriptions filled and I know the pharmacy members well I am lost as to why someone working the medical clinic couldn’t take five extra minutes to help someone pleading to them in person .
Helped me out with a brand name drug at 5:30 am? That’s a well run store
I went for my Covid vaccine appointment how about I get there and they say no vaccine because forgot to take out freezer this slack.
Long waits, & never answer phone calls
Machine “wasn’t working”. Always shop this late due to work and never had this issue.
Thank you Cvs for always making me feel like a family member and not just a customer. Every person in your store has impacted and blessed my life.
CVS Irmo: On hold for 10 minutes excluding the automatic prompts you have to muddle through at the beginning of the call. This pharmacy (not the store front) is awful in person and on the phone. I have been in there twice, being the only person standing at the pharmacy counter, and they ignore you while standing around talking to each other. I moved my prescriptions to the Broad River location where the pharmacy pays attention to the fact that youre there. I must have forgotten to tell my Orthopedic Surgeon to use Broad River and they called one in to Irmo. This call was just me telling them to go ahead and put it back, which took 30 seconds after they finally answered. 🙄
Nothing is the worst ever dealing with me and my three. But. I rate freely and say what I want when and how! Well Im giving 1 star because as with all my reviews if any business needs to sharpen up to please me and my children then they need to do so! The minor/adult rule is an inconvenience over the phone especially when you have all the info you need anyway in lieu of the other individual. As of tonight(6/1 and 6/2 -2021) and lately the two old guys in the pharmacy are and were extremely slow and they really need to learn how to answer the phone!!!!! One star for my trip….mm3 the Estrella ⭐️
Go to any literally any other pharmacy, this one is awful.
Went to minute Clinic for a vaccine was quoted a price and agreed. Keep in mind I have no insurance. I am presented with two bills one for the vaccine and another for the office visit. Had had to pay double my quoted price. How is that even fair. If I decide to ever go back (not) I guess I’ll ask how much is a vaccine if I administer it my self. Just plain stupid
This place is very understaffed or just don’t care. My meds been place for order 3 hours ago and they still working on it. I been on hold for 30mins I Will change locations as soon as I find one. Customer service is everything people!
This is the slowest CVS drive thru ever! Time and again I have sat here waiting for 30 minutes or more and going inside does not help at all as they also are backed up. I have been a customer for years but I through. I will be getting prescriptions from Publix from now on.
Pharmacy workers are rude and unprofessional.
Today (11-1-20)..my meds were put back on the shelf!! And now theyre saying that the insurance wont pay for med after being told to come back in 20 minutes and said that I cant get more of the med until December!!! What are they doing!! 4 months ago... Prescription was not ready AGAIN!!! The tech just said we dont have a prescription ready. I HAD TO ASK what I needed to do next. Then she said I will check. Then she came back and said that the prescription will be ready tomorrow. While on my handy dandy CVS app, it said that my prescription was filled days prior!!! CVS employee(s) need to be more proactive for the customers!!Ran out of my prescription. The pharmacy NEVER called to let me know it was ready. I happen to call, about 4 hours after the prescription was called in, and it was ready!! It had been ready for hours. Wow!
Great as usual.
This is the WORST pharmacy. Do not fill your prescriptions here! I’ve had them give me the wrong medication before that could’ve put me in the hospital. I never received an apology. They will tell you one thing and then you go to get your prescription and they tell you that they cannot fill your prescription because of a doctor’s note they didn’t inform you of the 2x you called several days prior just to make sure. When you ask why weren’t you informed they will just laugh at you. THE WORST SERVICE.
This review is simply for the pharmacy. way too many mix-ups for this profession. we dealt with it because of the lack of other options, but after a year have had to transfer all prescriptions elsewhere. if you need a good laugh. read these reviews .
Cramped store and slow pharmacy.
Prescriptions for my family have been filled at this pharmacy for years. Great customer service as always. Today I went in to get a prescription that I needed to have for a procedure but my Dr. office never called it in. Megan & Taryn went above and beyond by calling around to see if it had been sent to another pharmacy. She ended up contacting my doctor and getting the prescription filled.
Not just the slowest pharmacy I have ever been too, the slowest CVS I have ever used. Corporate needs to get these peoples act together. Because of this store Ill never use CVS again. My recommendation to anyone in the area is use Longs Drugs on St. Andrews. They are the 180deg of this CVS and they deliver. Only draw back is they arent open on Sundays, which is why I am now being punished and having to use CVS.
RUDE PHARMACY STAFF ALWAYS,YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO WAIT LONG EVEN IF YOU CALL TO VERIFY THE PRESCRIPTION BEING READY PRIOR TO GETTING THERE.. I WILL BE SWITCHING PHARMACIES THIS LOACTION NEEDS TO CLOSE ASAP‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ I WOULD GIVE THEM NO STARS‼️‼️‼️🤯🤯
Am currently on hold with the pharmacy for over 20 minutes and counting. This has been a continuous problem in the past and the rude staff could care less. Clearly they do not want more pharmacy patients. I highly recommend you do not use this pharmacy.
I wish zero or negative stars were an option. This is the most inept and poorly run pharmacy Ive ever experienced. The staff is rude, inconsiderate, and incompetent. If there is a Guinness World record for the slowest drive thru, Im sure they won.
Very unprofessional! I have a child who needs medication to live. This place has actually given me someone elses medicine once and CHANGED a dose of her other medications without informing me about it. I have already filed paperwork with the pharmacy board. I would definitely recommend everyone else to do the same. It will be the only way anything will ever get done.
This pharmacy is painfully slow and completely inadequate. I have been with this pharmacy less than a year and am going to transfer again because of the issues. My doctors office called in prescriptions that CVS claims they did not receive. Ive had to go back and forth see several times to get the correct pricing. Terrible service.
Terrible service. Lines for ever. These guys are straight robbing people. Tried to charge me $200 for generic abilify. Kroger has the same generic for $6. Terrible place to go to. I signed up to Kroger with a 1 yr family plan. Cost me only $72. I’ve already save hundreds of dollars on my first prescription. Smdh pls stay away
The worst pharmacy I have ever used. They lost my prescriptions twice. They had them one day and they were gone the next when I went to pick them up. They said they had nothing on file although they said it was there the day before. Then it happened again with another prescription a month later. Whats going on? I want a pharmacy that doesnt make it hard to get the meditations I need. Kroger Pharmacy right down the street has never let me down so if anyone else has a headache with this pharmacy, take your business there.
NOPE! DO NOT USE CVS pharmacy! Why? Read on! I don’t know if they’re just severely understaffed or what the problem is but I’ve never had so many problems with a pharmacy in my entire life. Three times just this month I have had a doctor electronically submit routine monthly prescriptions for me but yet CVS says they apparently “never received it” but they refused to look into why that is happening and they are ABSOLUTE UNAPOLOGETIC about it. They say that if a prescription submission is missing information the system just kicks it out and they NEVER RECEIVE ANY RECORD OF IT AT ALL. I have a really hard time believing that being that if a doctor writes a prescription and send it in you would think that there would be some type of a notification system telling the DOCTOR that the prescription was not accepted. They are really messing with people’s lives literally with this NEGLECTFUL service but they don’t care.I believe the reason that they still obtain customers is because they’re one of the only 24 hour chains out there besides Walgreens because their prices are not very comparable either. Walgreens isn’t much better but I’d go to them over CVS if you’re forced into needing a 24 hour pharmacy who takes advantage of those who urgently need medications.
Love that they’re open 24 hours. Minute clinic staff is awesome. Front desk cashiers are always kind at all times of the day (and night!)
Without a doubt the worst retail pharmacy experience I have ever had the displeasure of having. Impossible to get anyone on the phone and the staff clearly dislike their jobs. But who can blame them, corporate CVS clearly does not value their employees work life balance because it shows in their performance. I was on hold with this pharmacy for 14 minutes without speaking to anyone when the awful hold music stopped for a brief moment and I heard the words, “CVS Pharmacy please hold” and I was placed back on hold.Convenience, Value, and Service? What a complete lie. Beware!
Awful. Doesn’t even deserve one star.
Takes forever to get scripts filled. The staff is over worked and very verbal about it. It may be worthwhile for me to just use my mail order option. Being open 24/7 doesn’t make this location better. Can’t call ahead because after holding 15 mins there’s still no answer. I was in the store and 4 calls went unanswered so I guess those people held on until they gave up
I chose this CVS because of its 24 hour status for a severe bacterial upper respiratory infection my wife has. My experience today was outstanding! I am also a healthcare provider and Professor of Medical Physiology and Clinical Care. The pharmacy staff was kind and helpful from start to finish. A pharmacy tech named Alex (I think?) was professional, friendly, and efficient in helping me. The gentleman who entered my info (never been to a CVS before) was also kind and efficient. If we are ever sick or in need again, I will happily go to this Irmo CVS! Thank you to everyone there for your help!
Awesome front end customer service. Thank you. Very nice
Wish I could give it zero stars. Currently sitting in the drive through line going on 30 minutes and am still the 3rd car in line. This place is clearly understaffed and VERY disorganized and has been this way for months. This is the last time I wait this long to get my medicine as I will definitely be switching to a different pharmacy. Get your ish together CVS, seriously.
The biggest selling point for this store is the fact that its open 24 hours. I mean, the people in the store are nice (sometimes the pharm techs and students can use a little more politeness) and the inexpensive prints online are convenient, but for me, the fact that I can order prints at 11pm and pick them up (and a Pepsi) at 2am is pretty awesome.
Too long of a wait for pharmacy order. I think they need more help behind the counter.
The BEST pharmacy around!! They call me when I need refills and or txt me, they are extremely polite, friendly and I just love them!! Keep up the phenomenal job CVS, you have a customer forever with me!!
I realize the demand people have for the pharmacy at this location but having to wait for 10 min while employees search in 5 different areas and being completely unorganized is absolutely ridiculous! Not to mention being in line whether it’s physically standing or in the drive thru, the waiting period is 40 min plus! You guys get it together!!
Sat on the phone 21 minutes to find out the Rx they called to say is ready to pick up, isnt. I called because Ive wasted many trips, and stood in many lines to learn nothing was ready! Modern technology...aint it grand!
The people here are so nice but this pharmacy has turned into a real piece of garbage. Understaffed, the drive through window has been broken for months...I could go on and on but I’m too lazy
Don’t even bother coming here. Usually long lines and they don’t follow pricing in the ad if it doesn’t ring up correctly. Employees seem like they are pissed they have to work here too.
This place is a joke on the real the pharmacy never has any medicine in stock and then they expect the customers to do their damn jobs contacting the doctors and other cvs’s To see if they have the medicine instead of well hold on let me see what I can do for you it’s the day I leave for out of town and won’t be back til tues due to a procedure so my son has no meds and i know have an extra late start to my day and more aggravation .. how is this place constantly running out of meds how can they tell the customers it’s their problems when they don’t have your child’s medicine in stock every month it’s something new
Pharmacy is under staffed and need better customer service. Now as far as the front cash registers....I give 4 stars.
Most of the time the pharmacy staff seems overwhelmed and uninterested in providing good customer service. Long, LONG wait times and no since of urgency.Ive had a decent experience a handful of times.
Not the best location. Crowded, long lines. Mistakes made on mess. The minute clinic leaves a lot to be desired. Could not prescribe antibiotics. Better off spending your copay at your doctors office.
I love cvs, although i really cant afford to shop there all of the time without becoming a coupon fanatic
Rude employees. Was told to fill a script dropped off at drive thru would take 2 hours but if I came inside 20 minutes. No working public restroom for women. When picking up meds. 1 was missing, the crucial one I needed after surgery and wasn’t told it they didn’t have it. Never using this location again.
Been on hold 20 minutes waiting on someone in the pharmacy to pick up. Just wanted to ask a simple question.
They are horribly SLOW & one pharmacist & staff member is racist & extremely rude. They dont care about the patients/customers at all & will call the police on you for just saying, Im tired of you all messing up my prescriptions Do not get your prescriptions filled at this CVS
The pharmacy here is FAS; even when there is a line! The pharmacy clerks ate very friendly and make you feel welcome. And it took less than 15 mins from filling my scrips to having it in my hands.I love this place!
Pharmacy has horrible service. Long wait times, bad communication. By far the worst CVS I’ve ever been to. Needs new management in every department.
Garbage pharmacy. Wont be coming back. Waited an hour in line Tuesday, only to be told to come back Thursday. I come back Thursday after work and it still isnt ready.
Visited this location Sunday 6/25/17 with my 9 year old granddaughter and 12 year old grandson, while there men came in with their pants hanging down to their thighs and underwear showing other than being disrespectful to younger visitors and general public it is also a sanitary concern most especially at a pharmacy and even more of a concern at the medical section, I have relatives in Columbia, Irmo and Chapin and to be sure we will post this on our FB pages and never visit CVS again, this is disgusting.
RXs are never ready regardless of when they are called in and staff are rude.
It takes over 24 hours for this CVS pharmacy to fill a prescription. Bring a book or a magazine while you’re waiting to pick up your prescriptions because it will take you 30 minutes to one hour to get to the front of the line.
I have always gotten great service from this store. Pharmacist that I deal with works during the day and He is awesome. If they are busy the try thier best to take care of your needs. Im pregnant and got a flu shot there which didnt hurt. This is my cvs and it always will be. Thank you for taking care of my family and our health needs CVS.
Front store cashier (Wendy) stared at me the ENTIRE time I shopped, as if I was going to steal something. As in employee of CVS myself, I know this is NOT their policy for treating customers.
I mean it is cvs. They cant get the rx wrong but the wait is awful in the drive up line. Also they never answer their phone. If they are short staffed they really need to get their act together and hire more people because this is a really busy location.
Even with people using the app, it takes over 10 minutes per person to process... Every other CVS Ive been to takes less than a minute.....ALSO got my prescription WRONG and tried to blame the doctors office... Turns out it was NOT the doctors office... Whomever filled it didnt read the prescription in its entirety! Something I get ALL the time, too.
This place is awful. Customer services is bad. They are very rude to the customers. Save your time and your money.
Minute Clinic exceeded my expectations! It really only took a few minutes and the nurse was very honest and helpful- she even walked with me and pointed out which medications to purchase.
Slloooww service. Only one drive thru, not enough to serve amount of customers.
Have been in the drive thru line for over an hour...
Oh my i have never been through a drive thru that was so slow this is ridiculous
Good luck ever getting anyone to answer the phone.....
Dont have the sales tags up. My wife is a couponer and it makes things go a lot slower when tags arent in place for current sale!
Worst pharmacy in the Midlands. Always have to wait at least 15 minutes for pickup. They ignore the drive up window and the service inside isnt much better. Go anywhere but here!
Pharmacist cannot remember my date of birth; ask EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! LOL . (Sarcasm)RECEIPTS ARE TOO LONG!!!
Pharmacy got my medication wrong, when I went to discuss it with the store management they were completely unhelpful and unprofessional. Will not go back.
Great store and employees!!
This place makes you wait forever
Horrible, called 4 times on hold 30+ minutes never have prescription then blame the doctors.
Friendly staff and management ☺️
Absolutely terrible customer service go somewhere else
Worst pharmacy in town. Rude employees and slow. Not sure Ive ever had a good experience here so taking my business elsewhere.
Very slow!!!! The cashier act like they do not want to work. Would not go here.
Worst pharmacy the employees are rude pharmacy lines very very very slow
Insanely long wait and hold times every single time I call or come back. Only a third of my birth control prescription was filled last time. I will be switching pharmacies.
Customer service is not that great at this location.
Helpful and friendly
Always there, professional most of the time.
Pricey and busy
