Edited review.I placed a custom order for a significant amount of cash, paid for day of purchase. In January 2021, was given a 4-6 month delivery. I didnt get my order by then. Called for updates around May/June. Received very little information on status of my order. Repeated that effort about a month later and got very little information on phone.I posted a negative review here and finally started receiving some updates from the business on my order which was finally received on 9/21.Quality of my product is great. Well made and looks fantastic.TLDR? Custom orders will likely take you 8+months to receive. This business may not own up to that when they take your money. However, delivery service and the furniture quality is tops.

James at the Irondale, Alabama furniture gallery is the best at customer service! He offered a way for us to get the sale discount and was personable and understanding. Not pushy at all. Super helpful!! His helpfulness over the phone was why I chose to go there. Once I got there he helped me to get the sofa tht fits my needs. Thank you, James!

Ordered couch in December 2020 was told it could possibly take 4-5 months.. called once a month after 6th month and was told if i had not recieved a call it was not in. Finally after the 9th month and i insisted i dont know wasnt a good enough answer at this point i was told the manager would be able to look and give an approximate time.. go figure.. worst experience ever buying a couch... btw still waiting

The selection was vast and the salesman was very knowledgeable of the furniture. I went in ‘just to look’ but came out very pleased with my purchase.

Irondale has an ad posted but amazingly doesn’t have any of the recliners in stock at the advertised price. Only recliners at a much higher price point that are available to purchase directly from the store.

Ive been shopping here for 20 years and have had many different salespeople. The quality of the furniture, both Kincaid and Lazy boy is good and holds up for years. Marie was able to direct me immediately to the couch selections which met my request for a tall person and one which was firm. She described the couchs qualities before I even got to them. Bravo, Marie. Friendly, not pushy. Great service.

Marie was patient, knowledgeable, and supportive as we spent 3 hours selecting the two chairs. She did not try starting us at most expensive. She was not pushy. I both recommend asking for Marie, and I recommend the Crestwood Blvd location.

Was in the markey for a Recliner. There was certain style I had purchase in the past I was looking for. Went online online found what wanted. Contacted store, as question about the difference in online pricing and delievery compared to store purchase and pickup. The salassociate was very knowledgeable answeeed my question. I walked in to the “outlet store” and asked about outlet furniture. The guy acted like I insulted him and was extremely rude. I may only be looking for an inexpensive chair right now, but in about 7 months my wife and I will be filling our new house. I’m m only trying to find some cheap temp stuff for my apartment while we find our new house. Please don’t judge people. With this interaction I doubt I will ever shop at lazy boy again. The people at Atkins in Dogtown, Al are wonderful and don’t judge you.

Our salesperson, Marie, was extremely helpful. She answered all my questions, as well as showing us all the sofas in the category that we were interested in. She allowed us time to discuss options and to try out every sofa we were interested in. This is an update on our order. We ordered a sofa and a love seat on 10/3/2020. We were told at the time of the order that it would be 14 weeks as it is a special order. It has now been 15 weeks and we are being told that it will be sometime in February before our order is ready. We do understand that Covid has impacted all of this, but still waiting.

Greeted immediately upon entering store and received undivided attention of sales person. He took all the time necessary to find exactly what we wanted and in the color to match our rug and hardwoods.Even when my wife changed her mind at the end we had no problems in concluding the sale even though the paperwork was in process.I paid a little more than anticipated but we got a lot more to Han expected.Very happy with the sales experience.

Love Marie...Zero pressure sales which is why I didnt go anywhere else to look. The store was my first place I visited. She answered all of our questions and offered info on things we didnt think to ask. She also made sure we got the best material based on several dogs in the home. I trusted her and felt listened to on our needs. In regards to corporate....Not too happy about having to wait 4-5 months to get the order because of factories being backed up due to COVID limiations. I understand but still not happy about it. I anticipated 2 months but not 4-5 months. That is something else I appreciated about Marie, is she was very honest about that and didnt deceive us to make the sell.

Linda was super aggressive when my wife, an electrical engineer, and myself, pointed out that her math was wrong when looking to buy a set from the Irondale location.She then got her manager, who then approached us without a mask on. We will not be buying anything from this location ever. From their lack of concern for others safety during a pandemic and poor math skills, you should consider going to another location also.

We have purchased 2 chairs here at different times the salesmen were very helpful and made very good suggestions . The only issue we have is that the delivery is very slow. 5 days to a week on average. The delivery and set up crew were very efficient and professional. I would highly recommend if you arent in a hurry.

My wife and I were shopping for a new ottoman and decided to check out the Lazy-boy store in Irondale. We were greeted by a young man named Avery and told him what we were thinking. He immediately proceeded to start asking about what we were matching it with.He showed us several ottomans and we found one that we liked but didn’t think it would match our brown leather furniture. He took us over to vast array of samples and helped us pick out the color and fabric we liked. We were very impressed at how well he knew what he was doing. A very professional experience. We will be back when we need other furniture.

Really great experience talking to Marie. She wasnt pushy at all, and seemed to really just want to help us find what we needed. 1000x better than experiences at Ashley and Rooms-To-Go, where the sales people basically get angry if you say youre looking for something other than the biggest sectional with all the bells and whistles. Also, crucially, the furniture is of an obviously higher quality than the competition, with warranties that reflect the confidence they have in their products (10 years! Lifetime on the recliner mechanism). Contrast that with a Lane couch that had sharp metal springs sticking out of it after 3 years. Our couch will be delivered in 6 days, vs. having bought a $900 bed frame from Ashley and being told 6-8 weeks for delivery, being billed 100% upfront, and not receiving the bed after 9 months, at which point they refused to give us a refund because of a 30-day refund policy (on a product we never received!). Had to threaten legal action against Ashley to get our money back. Even at that point they still didnt know when our bed would be delivered. In short, dont but furniture in Birmingham anywhere other than La-Z-Boy if you can avoid it.

I ordered 2 recliners and a sofa over the phone. She was very courteous and made the process easy.

Our salesperson was very helpful but not pushy. She guided us through the process and we are delighted with our selection of furniture.

Tom at the store in Irondale, Alabama helped me to find the exact recliner I needed. I was in and out in 30 minutes thanks to his helpful and kind service. He made sure that my petite frame wasn’t hindered by me getting a chair in which my feet couldn’t touch the ground. I could easily rock in it, and he made sure I could maneuver all of the functions of the chair while I was in store. I would absolutely go to La Z Boy again for another furniture need, and their delivery service I’m sure will be spectacular when my chair arrives.

Phenomenal style and design options with great customization in multiple price ranges! Staff is sincere about discovering your true needs and providing for your desires simultaneously. The sales lady was very patient with me as I wanted to look at all the couches and recliners offered. Their furniture is made so substantial that it is easy to tell from the cheap ones offered by some stores. I ordered mine as I needed a different color than the ones in stock. When delivered they did the set up and were finished in less than 20 minutes. I am extremely happy with this choice of furniture.

Buck was our sales associate and he was so sweet and patient with us. He wasn’t your typical pushy salesman. He gave us the facts and explained our options and gave us space to decide what we wanted to do. He is a great asset to lazy boy and he’s the reason we purchased today after having been looking about 2 years now for a couch and two recliners. He made it a pleasant experience

I got a nice Lazy Boy recliner Friday. I discovered a problem with my chair this morning. Within a short time, Scott the Store Manager, and Marie who sold me this chair have resolved my problem, and a replacement is on the way. Good customer service means a lot. If you are working with Marie in Irondale, you will get great service and work with a very nice Lady. Thank you both Scott and Marie.

Scott Burton did a great job of explaining all the features of each furniture piece and the customization options. He selected the fabric options after I explained what my focal point was (a rug our son shipped us from a Middle East deployment.) I would recommend shopping with Scott to anyone who asked.

The Salesman James W. Was able to help me find a sofa that fits well in my small house and on the way out the door I found a coffee table that will go well there too. I will continue to go back there to find to find other pieces of furniture for my home.

Thought I was getting a great couch but 4 months later the springs turned sideways and it affects the cushion placement. They came out and said that they were in an acceptable position under La-Z-Boy standards. They refused to fix this and I have had multiple orthopedic surgeries so this is very uncomfortable to have the cushion uneven. I really hoped they would help me with this problem, otherwise I liked the couch. THEY FINALLY CAME OUT and stuffed the seat bottom with foam, that has since shifted and is uncomfortable again. Beware of their warranty. They make it sound sooo wonderful on selling day.They’ll say “Oh if anything happens to any part of this leather recliner it’s covered!”I have broken springs and was informed the cheap springs are covered but not labor or transportation. On the wear split in the leather on my recliner I was told I’d have to go to the protective company directly.Ask a lot of questions before closing your deal with Lazy Boy Irondale. I talked to them twice on this just to be sure and got the same answer both times. NO NOT COVERED !My next recliner will be by Flexsteel

5 stars ++ for salesman, James. He was GREAT!!! However, he ALMOST lost this sale to to the managers interruption and arrogance, which was totally uncalled for and absolutely NOT necessary. I DID my research before I came to the store. I KNEW what I was talking about!!! I have purchased several pieces from your store in the past. He may be a decent manager (sometimes), but it appeared that he was trying to be a Mr KNOWITALL. I was NOT happy at all with him, but thankfully James and I worked through it and I am happy with my purchase. Manager owes us both an apology (wont get it, but he owes it!!!)

My husband and I went in to the Lazy Boy store on Saturday, Nov. 24th to just “look “.Scott, the manager, greeted us when we came in and asked if he could help us. Very friendly and professional. We told him what we were looking for and he took us to several pieces varying in prices. Not once did he try to sway us to a certain one.I am retired from 40 years of Banking and customer service was priority. Scott displayed that. Because of the way we were treated, we went ahead and bought our couch!!!I would recommend Scott and Lazy Boy to everyone!!! I picked up a piece of furniture. While there, I picked up a spring for a really old (but still in great shape) recliner. The loading dock folks were super helpful and had me on my way in just a few minutes.

We bought a couch and loveseat from La-Z-Boy in Irondale. When the guys brought it to the house they did a great job of getting it into the TV room without scratching any walls or the couches. They were very polite and really gave me the feeling that they knew what they were doing. I bought a lift chair and was having a problem with it 3 days after using it. Called service and the lady I talked to was no help.
