-Unsatisfactory service provided-I made a appointment for 8am. Website and google said they open at 7:30 am. So I showed up early for my appointment to check in at 7:40. Go to the door and there’s a sign stating opening hours are 8 am. Fine I arrived to early and needed to wait. Checked in and explained the situation slow leak in back passenger side tire. Either a puncture or faulty stem valve. Also asked for my tires to be rotated. Gave home keys and began to wait. Sat there for 1.5 hours after being the first one there and appointment made. Came back said everything was good and gave me my keys. Then stated I was good to go. I asked how much and if I needed to sign something. He said nope small fix didn’t need to charge me for it. I was happy to see that. I walk around my car to look. Check my air and everything tire has more air. Now it 2 days later and my tire is back at where is was with the slow leak ( I’m dropping 5 psi overnight). I look at my tires and they actually weren’t rotated. Cause the issue tire is the only one without a valve cap due to refills of air. So my understanding is that I sat at this shop for 1.5 hours to just put air in my tires. And to lie to me about fixing something and doing me a service. I am happy I didn’t pay for that.
Had my front wheel bearing replaced. Jimmy did a great job, explaining the issue. Got me in and out quickly. Give Pep Boy a 100% for a job well done.
I will not ever go to this Pepboys again! It took over an hour to get an oil change! Plus they didnt top off my fluids👎🏾The staff there seems like they need more training and the place isnt clean.

I must express my appallingly disappointing experience for the first time as a long term Pep Boys patron. First, and foremost, I believe you should know that I have previously taken every car Ive owned exclusively to Pep Boys to be serviced and overall Ive had extraordinary experiences. This had been my experience up until this year. Ill start in March 2021 when my car was towed into this Pep Boys location for overheating, we got it taken in they seemingly fixed the issue and we were happy. Less than 90 days later in late May we start to experience the issue again, we bring it in. The repairs were going to be costly but, you know what, this is how my kid gets to camp and husband gets to work so we pull funds out of savings to make it happen. We were told the root cause was 3 parts, so at the advice of the crew we buy the parts and bring them in. At this point were quoted one date of completion and the deadline was pushed without being communicated to us proactively. Thats fine, I guess - understandable - but then we call and they say its ready to pick up so we pick it up. As were on our way home with the vehicle it not only overheats but stalls in the middle of the intersection putting us IN DANGER. I called the store and asked if they even test drove it to confirm it was actually repaired they said they didnt. At this point, I beg that they tow it back to look at it and please fix this vehicle safely and thoroughly. Well they take it, it takes days to diagnose the issue and they finally come back with a whopping price tag of almost $3000 so I called corporate because I was shocked that Id already poured $800 into the repair in March and $1500 into the repair that was literally just done incorrectly and not tested. I truly felt like they didnt know what they were doing and they were just grasping at straws with my money at this point. The second round of repairs were seemingly unneeded and when I probed about this I was told that the issue was a different problem entirely. This was escalated and it took corporate a week to get back to us, all the while I still only have 1 car, 1 child, 1 husband, and a job that I have to juggle. We hear back from corporate, they listen to our concerns and shortly thereafter we get a call from the Pep boys our vehicle is at - theyre taking $400 off the price and were assured they know what it is as well as given a timeline of the following week for completion.It is now 4 weeks after that date and weve resorted to calling every day for a status update. There have been no proactive calls, texts, or emails. I called today and asked again, since at this point theyre being disrespectful and combative with my husband, they said 3 MORE WEEKS. 3 more weeks to only have 1 car, 2 jobs, and one child to take to and from camp. Did I mention my husband works at 4 AM and I work 10-7, most times 10-9? That means I have to wake up at 3:30 to take him to work then later work until 9 PM that day.All this to say, I cannot believe the atrocious customer service displayed at the PEP BOYS located at 1950 N Belt Line Rd, Irving, TX 75061. I have dealt with daily disrespect, dismissive attitude, and flat out lying from every employee at this location. It is my hope that in writing this I am truly able to get heard and regain the trust that I once had in Pep Boys.

Yesterday 10/8/21 I went to get a break check on my car sue to squeeking in my passenger rear.. I went ahead and let them do an oil change since it was due.. then it took over an hour for them to tell me I needed all 4 breaks done for $1,000.. ya right!! I took my car se where else and Im paying $300 for the problem.. stupid! Highway robbery.. Ill never go back yhere... update.. had my car get a second option and pep boys lied 100%

Very disappointed. I arrived at this location and was asked what I needed. I told him I needed an oil change he said that he could service my car I parked my car and proceeded to wait. He comes back out to tell me that hes not able to service my car today that he is full and for me to go online and to schedule an appointment. I go to the parking lot park my car and go online to the website to see that there is a plethora of slots available for today for service. I select 1:00 p.m. Which gives them 30 minutes to do whatever they need to do especially because theres no cars being serviced. I go into the lobby to let the older guy know with the glasses, who I had been talking to that I was able to schedule an appointment today.The guy with the older glasses looks disappointed that I was able to schedule a slot for today and tells me that he cannot fit me in. The big guy from behind the counter tells me yeah weve been having issues with our website well if youve been having issues with your website then why suggest to go to the website to make an appointment?If your this incompetent to schedule an appointment with a customer than you definitely cant touch my car.I will just go somewhere else to get an oil change and it will not be another Pepboys.
I made appointment online for 8am and arrived first in line at 7:40am. A truck pulled up behind me at 8am. I waited for the service manager to come out to me as I was first in line. Never happen. 8:20am and no appearance. So the guy behind me gets out of his truck and walks inside. All of a sudden a mechanic comes out and drives the guys behind me truck around mine and into the bay to be serviced. Are you kidding me! I will never be back to Pep Boys Irving.

Im so grateful for the awesome people working up there together because I was very worried about the shaking and sounds coming from my new 4Runner (but used, bought it only 48 hours prior)! The staff is great, the service was amazing, and there wasnt even a line to wait! They immediately drove it into a stall in their garage! Completely painless! Thanks for the great experience!
My experience with this place has been a complete nightmare. I paid over a thousand dollars in repairs and the car broke down on the way home. Took it back and its been in for over a week. No calls or updates. They want to charge me over a thousand AGAIN after they didnt fix the problem in the first place. Extremely long wait (literally weeks) with no updates on my car whatsoever. I have resorted to calling every single day to get an update on my car and they continue to have an attitude with me about it. DO NOT bring your vehicle here they have no idea what theyre doing and its not worth your time and especially your money.
Staff knows what they are doing. Had another estimate from another place. They looked over car and told me most of the other estimates were not necessary. Did a great job for 2000 less than other guy.
I had an appointment for an oil change and the front desk named Raul said it’d be done within 50 mins but, I waited two and half an hour.
I didnt have time to make an appointment, and I brought my car in for an oil change on a busy Saturday morning. Jonathan and his awesome team made time for me. They changed my oil, air filter, and spotted and replaced a faulty battery that I didnt even know about in less than an two hours, for about 200 bucks. Very honest work, attentive service, with a safe and clean lounge while I waited. Thank you
NEVER, NEEEVVVEEERRRR, go here for automotive repair or tires. I was towed here for a popped tired, decided to replace all 4. I have Been here for about 2 hours now. 3-3-19, service writer refused to give me the price advertised online, tacked on additional services that I did not ask for, had to bring a manager in from the retail side. She was understandably fruatrated with me, but still held professionalism and helped me out the whole way. Service writer was still extremely apathetic and lied straight to my face about a tires warranty. I will never be back. I am getting tires here only because I have no choice. Employees are just sitting down doing nothing, no cars are being worked on, expecially not mine which is still sitting where the tow company left it. If you look in one if the pictures you can see on the right, the knees of an employee who had been just sitting there forever until he noticed me taking pictures, now my car is in. Not cool, AT ALL.When they FINALLY finished with my car, ( popped my tire at 10:30 AM immediately called them for tow, finished at 5:41 PM), they left the Air Suspension button turned off. A button known to EVERYONE in the automotive industry about the Lincoln towncar AND MY RIMS WERE LEFT DIRTIER THAN I WOULD EVER CONSIDER ROLLING UP IN. At least there is a car wash right behind this shop. I am SOOOOOO pissed.
This is one of the very few shops in Irving or the Dallas area that will allow you to bring in your own parts. The guy that checked me out even complimented those parts. Kudos to Pep Boys

Poor management.Treated poorly.Everything went ok untill my car was smashed into to the curb while the employee went to park it.See picture. Driver smashed into the parking. I did like any customer and notified the manager DJ and he argued with me that my bumper was already loose.Excuse me ok. I may been loose but really did not even apologize. He said make a claim..good luck..and walked away.What did i do wrong??I have no fault in this.

When i brought my car to get diagnosed, they said the car needs new struts, I suggested at the first that it could be the brake work they did on it three weeks ago (something may get loose) But they said no, it has to be suspensions issue. Here we go, paying over a $1000 and the issue not solved.
I went to get an oil change and tire rotation. I set up an appointment through car advisor. I was given the guaranteed price of $26.79. When I went they didn’t rotate my tires. I asked the guy behind the counter and he said we didn’t ask for one EVEN though it’s on my receipt. Then he said he couldn’t give me that guaranteed price and originally said it was $28.54. He tried to get it cheaper. He couldn’t do it and when I went to pay it was $29.52 instead. I won’t be back.

This looks like a scam place to me based on my experience. I dropped my vehicle to get complete vehicle Inspection on 10/12/2020 then after couple of hours I received a call saying that Wheel alignment is recommended for my vehicle from the representative then I mentioned that I have Lifetime wheel alignment with pep boys so obviously I told them to take care of it, but when I went to pick my car I was told that they never called me and wheel alignment is absolutely fine with my vehicle which is shocking. I DON’T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE

Absolutely horrible service had an appointment at 2pm didnt even start my oilchange till almost 3pm also asked for tire rotation which they forgot and when i said something they did rotate but broke off 2 studs on one wheel and wanted to charge me an extra 65. For there mistake. Will never NEVER COME HERE AGAIN

I had my tires changed at pepboys in Virginia... drove to dallas for vacation and had a vibration complaint from the new tires ... called this location, setup an appointment on the same day, dropped the car and picked it up after an hour, the problem is gone! Their service and responsiveness was excellent! Shoutout to this location and to Pepboys as well for nationwide coverage!
In 9/5/19 I went to Pepboys Irving, TX 75061 for oil change. I had 30% of coupon at that time. Customer representative tried to scan the coupon to get discount but because of some issue, she couldn’t not scan the coupon and i have to pay full amount $81. In feedback I complained about that customer representative. I got call and email from pepboys in next oil change they will do free oil change.Then in 09/04/20 I went to Pepboys 1950 N Beltline Rd Irving, Texas 75061 with email which was sent by Pepboys that mentioned free oil change. When i met with manger, his name is Dondrell Jones (DJ) at time. He misbehaved, insult and tried to be over-smart and told me,1) Right now I am a manger here and i cant give you a free oil change with this email.2)This email is not valid and old from next year and this is expired.3)The person who sent email doesnt work here any more, so we cant take any responsibility of what they send to a customer.Its completely outrageous behavior to customer and I tried to explain him lot of times about that email, but he ignored it completely.I told him that for me its the email from Pepboys not from an individual.Also there is no any expiration date mentioned.Such behavior will definitely put a bad image of Pepboys to me and I will also not recommend Pepboys to my family/relatives/friends and circle.
If you want to wait hours on end and be over charged this is the place. Came in for a slow leak on a tire and ended up waiting a hour before I realized they hadn’t even pulled my car in. They serviced the 2 people that came after me prior to servicing my vehicle. Ended up putting 2 new front tires on despite me just coming in for the slow leak on a back tire. I will never come back here and I highly recommend literally anywhere else.

Horrible experience from both this Pep Boys location and Pep Boys Customer Service. I contacted Pep Boys customer service and they said they would reach back to me about this issue and they never did. Please avoid this Pep Boys if you want to avoid further damages and cost to your vehicle. I went in for a tire rotation and ended up getting two damaged studs and lug nuts. I went back and told the manager about the situation and he blamed it all on a guy they had recently fired. He said this technician had a bad history and was finally fired yet he refused to fix my vehicles damage. Finally he agreed to take responsibility and said he would fix it. He took the car back into the shop and instead of properly fixing my car he still failed to fix my two damage studs and lug nuts and he also managed to damage my wheel bearing and hub assembly.
I went to the Irving location because I saw on the website that they opened at 7:30 am . I got there and sat they for about 30 minutes and then some guy is putting signs on the door. If you guys are going to be changing hours of business update the website so that customers are aware. Again I go to this location on 4/01 and the signs says open at 8am and at 8:15 it is still not open

I came in to get an oil change and the the team here was very friendly and extremely helpful! They noticed a few other small things that my car also needed like a/c coolant to ensure that Im set for these hot Texas summers. This was one of the nicer looking waiting areas with Coffee! I normally Go to the pep boys in state! I actually came here to visit some family and I started having issues Starting my car. When I called customer service a woman named Josie asked that I come in and they would run some diagnostics before I went to the Honda dealership. When They were done, They found that my back was bad and gave me a way better deal than Honda dealership would’ve. I would recommend working with Josie or anyone at this Pep Boys they have a lot of patience.
Its the worst pepboys Ive ever been to and owner dont waste your time with a standard reply cause if your business has as many 1 star ratings as yours does followed by a pile of all of a sudden 5 star ratings all thats going on is that specific people who get good service are asked to rate them. There is some basic competency but no speed of service. Were my car not forced to get oil changes there due to a lease contract, I would have found another place to get that done. Almost ANY other place can do this faster. And this is not a one time event, they have been very slow every time I have come here.
Poor Customer ServiceIt’s 7:36pm on a cold rainy night and I’m driving on a flat tire. I manage to make it to Pep Boys in Irving just in time. I was sure they would help me. I walked in and immediately Steven, in the service department was extremely rude and condescending. He refused to assist me with flat tire repair, even though I expressed my sense of urgency-due to my tire being flat. I pleaded with him to make exception and he flat out said no! Customers shouldn’t be treated this way. What ever happened to taking care of the customer??
Taking to long to replace 1 tire that is not even on the car
Spent $700 for my car to breakdown after repairs. They couldnt even find my car for almost 3 hours on the first day of my car being there. They pretty much told me that new issues wasnt their problem.
I had to replace car battery, and even though it’s been a little bit of a wait, the service from the employees has been top-notch. Thank you to the mechanics working up front and even cashiers inside. Car trouble is never easy but I was taken care of.
I have made two trips to Pep Boys this year with my Moms 20 year old truck. The staff is friendly and willing to guide me in the right direction. They give me options and never push me to buy something. I love this Pep Boys. They are friendly and very informative. I would take my car there, but as it is so low to the ground, they do not have a lift that will raise it up, bummer. I would recommend this place to everyone that wants honest work ethics.

I was in a bind, lost one nut and lock washer on one of the starter motor poles 1,000 miles away from home. Dude pulled new starter from box, gave me 10mm but and lock washer, then let me borrow 10mm box wrench, to make repair in parking lot. Truck started right up and I was back on the road within 15 minutes. I will make my way to Pep Boys from now on for any parts. A very simple thing to ensure customer loyalty.

Went to get my oil changed, they asked if I wanted to do my air filter as well. I said yes, they took around 2 hours to give me my car back when I had an appointment. When it was returned the ac was making a high pitched noise, came back again. Mechanic stepped in car with me and said if I cant hear it I cant fix it. Then maybe he should get his ears checked.
I think the largest automotive store in DFWbecause its the hub store for the entire pepboys region has more parts in stock than anyone. The parts are generally mid-range in quality and competitively priced. Good service center with certified mechanics. Pep boys has been around since 1922 still some family members in the.
Went there to See my Check Engine light. The code was P0456 and the guy told me there is a hole in my fuel intake valve and therefore the engine is not getting enough air for combustion. Its a 2 yrs old car and the car had sti warranty left on it. I told him about the warranty and still he was adamant to what he told and said the car needs to be diagnosed to get a quote and there is a fee for that. I googled the error code and found that this is a common error due to faulty gas cap or gas cap not tighten properly. Mine was a faulty gas cap and toyota replaced it for free under warranty. The shop wants to trick people into unwanted repairs.
Understaffed with staff who just dont particularly care. If you show up without an appointment, expect to wait all day or be told to come back later. If you have an appointment, be prepared to wait in line for 20+ minutes to check-in. Upon check-out, be prepared to wait in line again for 20+ minutes. There is typically one person answering the phones and working the line, and it seems that they just expect anyone on the phone to just hang-up after waiting on hold, indefinitely. Clearly this location has a management problem. Id recommend going elsewhere, if that is an option.
The employees were nice and explained that my ac condenser had a leak and it had to be replaced. The price was pretty expensive but they told me they could get it done in 4 hours so I went ahead and got the work done. They worked on it fast and actually got it done in 3 hours. When I went to pick it up, I asked the front desk employee why they were charging me for 4 hours of labor when the job actually only took 3 hours. He told me that is what it comes up to charge so thats why and it cannot be changed. I feel like I just got ripped off an extra $130 when I was already feeling like I was being over charged for the work. Needless to say, after dropping a grand today at this store, I will be taking my business elsewhere to be charged fairly.

Fast auto service. Very patience to all my questions in regard of my options. Also friendly with my kids during waiting time. I recommend this place to ladies drivers that need to rely on professionalism and honesty for car repair.I would only suggest them to sanitize a little bit more the restroom. You can tell that a bunch of guys use it, ha, ha, ha.But thats irrelevant, I guess.

I have previously had good experiences at this location which is why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. Today was the exception. I went in for an oil change that I scheduled online .Online it states you have to request a state inspection in person so thats what I did .The guy at the desk said sorry they were locked out of state inspections when I questioned him .He became very rude, his tone was very aggressive and he just kept repeating were locked out . His shirt indicated he was an assistant manager! My daughter had given me a rewards coupon for $30 off of services but I decided to take my car somewhere else .I would rather spend more money and be treated respectfully than support a business that places no value in customer service.****************************************I do not have a Twitter account so will go over what happened. I had a 8 oclock appointment to get my oil change .On the website it states you can not schedule a state inspection online it had to be done in person .I got to my appointment on time and asked for state inspection to be added to my services. I was told by a young man- Caucasian, short hair and glasses with assistant manager patch on his sleeve- that pep boys was locked out of state inspections. I did not know what that meant- pep boys was not going to do state inspections from now on?, for a period of time? etc-so I asked him. He just repeated several times that pep boys was locked out in an angry aggressive tone. I told him I dont work for pep boys so I didnt know what that meant. He finally said it was for a certain length of time but was extremely rude and asked did I still want my oil change. Initially I said yes but after a few moments of thought - why would I let anyone talk to me rudely and still give them my business? I decided no way and went to get my car. I had to again deal with your rude employee. He did not apologize for his behavior. I would suggest that you train your employees especially in management the basics of customer service. I took my car down the street to kwik car. They were extremely friendly and I was out in a timely fashion. They will have my business from now on.
I was there for a simple oil change. Five minutes down the road oil is pouring out and Im calling a tow truck to get the car back up there. They call my an hour later and tell me I can pick it up tomorrow morning. Go to pick it up and its still leaking oil.
Best service in DFW! I had a blow out and they took care of me big time! My first day on the job and i thought I was going to be late but Chris the service manager turned a bad situation into a great one! I owe this day to him! I arrived at 2pm and didnt leave until 7 PM. The customer service garage. No management to take customer complaints. One customer sat at pep boys for several hours waiting on his truck. Not mad I uh st want be taking any of my cars back.
I barely have any experience or knowledge of cars, so when I started having issues with starting my car, I wasnt sure what to do. My boyfriend couldnt figure out the issue, so we took it to Pep Boys. Right when we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly associate named Miguel. I told him about my car troubles and he took the time to inspect my car carefully and then patiently explained what was the issue. It turns out it was a faulty battery. Miguel was able to find me the best deal and also help us install it properly. Talk about excellent customer service! I will definitely be coming back to ask for Miguel if I ever have any issues in the future.
I went to get my oil changed because they said itd be $18 if I brought the oil and filter. Turns out my serpentine belt was pretty badly cracked and they recommended that I get it replaced. I said yes and they removed it and showed me how cracked it was even though I hadnt even asked to see. That made me think they were pretty honest. They even returned the little bit of my oil they hadnt used! I will definitely return.I just went back to have my car checked out and one of the techs, Steve, was extremely helpful! He explained to me what my car needed and how everything relating to that works. He even showed me what was going on under my car so I could see exactly what he was talking about.

Too expensive for all the services. They just want to change the parts without knowing what is the actual problem. I dont know how they are surviving. Their must be a lot of people who are being fooled.

I had went to Autozone looking for stuff to clean my car with and looking for something to help clean my engine. One of the salespeople kept pushing me to buy the most expensive brand. When I said I needed some time to think about it in the store the salesperson got upset and walked away. Annoyed at the terrible customer service I left and went to Pep Boys. Honestly the best decision I have ever made. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a salesperson, Miguel. He asked me what he could do for me and I told him what I needed. He recommended some great products and they were all reasonably priced. He even asked me how my day was going. Miguel was by far one of the best salesperson I have ever got to meet. His customer service and friendly attitude is the reason I will only go to the Pep Boys in Irving. Not only did he find me the best products to take care of my car, he even explained how to use them and demonstrated for me. Now whenever I go to Pep Boys, I know who I will be asking for, Miguel. Great service!!! They are quick, and very polite. I have my seat set for my short legs, and the very tall service man made sure to adjust it back when he was finished. No one has ever done that! Not only that, they gave me a little discount on my tire repair.
Always quick! For years I would have to drop off my vehicles at shops only to pick it up days later. This place does major jobs usually the same day and with high quality of work. Hard to believe I see bad reviews on here from people because they had to wait 2-3 hours; ridiculous in my opinion!
Incomplete service. Pep Boys advertise a multi point inspection, with oil change, which they did not do. My TMPS light was on, however tire pressure was not checked. It concerns me about the overall service preformed. Do not go to the 1950 Beltline Rd,Irving, TX 75061 locationUpdate: A couple weeks after I posted this I discovered my engine oil was OVERFILLED by 1 QUART. This will cause severe engine damage.
Original service was OK. They managed to screw up the install. When I took It back I was told I would have to leave the vehicle or wait until the next day. Simply terrible follow-up service. They (Pep Boys) made no effort to swiftly correct the errors.I was warned not to take any service work to Pep Boys but I didnt listen. Now I am paying the price for THEIR shoddy workmanship.They better not try and charge me for fixing their screw-up.I saw a lot of apologies from their service department in the review but it must just be lip service or else the service would have gotten better.

Went very well, had tyres in stock, I dropped off my wheels, they mounted and balanced the wheels and checked my. Alve stems, and called me once they were ready, then loaded them In My truck, very happy.
My experiences here have been quick and clean. I was given an estimate that was less than what I ended up paying, but it was a small mistake that didnt make a drastic difference. Altogether good service.
Inspection, oil change, and brake light replaced in just over an hour. Fast, efficient, and the cost way less than the dealership!

Broke down they where able to help me and they had great prices on the parts. They had tools they loaned me. They where great
5hrs and counting..... Came in for a oil change & brake change .... I showed up at 0805 .... 1st in line and I am STILL sitting here .... I should have learned my lesson after last time it took 2hrs to get just an oil change ....

GREAT Customer service. Im happy to say that this place is open late, because I needed to replace a light bulb. Mr. Alvin and Mr. Miguel were very helpful. Alvin changed the light bulb for me. Im definitely coming back to Pep Boys for my vehicle needs. Thanks guys.
WORST PLACE
Waited for 30+ minutes for the staff to find the item that I placed online. They said its at the store, but could not find it. I usually dont do negative reviews, but boy Pep Boys need to get their organization system together. Never got my item!
Both Stevens were very helpful and amazing customer service. I will definitely be back and they had my battery switched out fast when I was told by Walmart they couldnt do it.
Service was awful, you walk in asking those at the counter or on the floor to help and they just dont. Most times people already know what we want we just dont want to walk the store to find it. Help someone to find what they want is part of customer service.
