Horrible place!! Do NOT buy anything from this place. Goat meat smelled and tasted horrible. While I was cleaning I found a dead fly stick in the meat even after cleaned and washed many times still the old fungi smelled remained in the meet. They have mixed old meat with some new and it’s absolutely smelled rotten. I end up throwing out the meat. The meat overly priced and shop smelled even worse.

Meat is of average quality here. Only catch is - you have to pay $25 as minimum for card payment. I feel somehow they are cash prone. Once I paid cash by mistake even though my bill was $36. And when I realized I offered to pay by card. They took the money instantly and told me that bill is done (bill was not done by that time!). I would recommend this shop only if there are no other options. Disappointing customer experience.

Good selection of meat and sea food but the shop is too smelly. You can be sick if you stay long inside the shop. Religious materials/books all over the shop.

I recently moved to Iselin and found this meat shop online . We used to cook chicken once in a week and decided to buy whole chicken from this place .Most of the time, the quality of the raw chicken they have like sour smell and very potent color. There is no taste of chicken after cooking it and it usually happens if the chicken is not fresh. They are also cheating customers by keep pouring chicken in the water and weigh as-is with Skin. Don’t go to shop the chicken from this place if you want your family stay safe and healthy. They are bunch of frauds running this business .

All halal meat and great quality. I bought a few lbs of goat and it cooked very tenderly. I heard Shalimar was shut down by the health inspector because they werent selling halal food. This is my new go to meat shop. Def try it out.

Customer service here is average but the meat is great. I got ruhu fish and 2 whole chickens. Both were fresh and turned out good. Will be back here. Try it for yourself because Im glad I didnt go based off of the reviews

I was there and the guy behind was very rude and started talking on religious things saying all this COVID-19 and things happening to world because Qadiyani didnt get treated well. I dont want to listen about you or your Qadiyani religion Thank you very much! and you can keep your meat and your attitude to yourself.

Bunch of fraudsters!! Certain fish hilsa 17.99 per lb, near by Shahnawaz 11.99 per lb. Heard another customer complaining about vast difference in price!!

I would have put ZERO star if there is an option. This shop is nasty. Please stay away. My wife got Hilsa fish last week and its smell like rotten fish. The shop owner or whoever works here has zero customer service attitude. Please please please stay away from oak tree shops specially this one. The guy on register doesnt know basic etiquette. I dont know how these guys comes to America and run business. We shouldnt shop here and encourage these sort business to grow around Edison.

Mr. Ahmed is a nice person but the store is not clean at all as it would fail inspection. However just be aware that even if you walk into the store, the owner will nicely greet you as this was 5 years ago.

If you are health conscious pls stay away ...My husband yesterday got marinated chicken thighs. when i opened the bag it smelled so so horrible, we thought it may be the smell of marination and went ahead and cooked, my kids were nauseated with the smell and after cooking i tasted it, as expected it was spoiled chicken, so i thrashed the whole four chicken . They just care about the money and not customers health. please keep away from this shop.

The guy behind the counter thinks this is the only meat shop available in NJ, and behaves very rude. Marinated fishes and regular fishes are always old, better go to shal...ar in the oak tree road near to the signal.

I bought the chicken tikka with masala on it for MCNJ masjid for a bbq. Turned out that the chicken was spoiled and we did not touch 1 piece of it nor did we eat it. Smelt very foul as if it was removed from a hot tank with raw meat. I would never recommend this food to anyone if you care about your health. They need to be visited by the food health administration. This place should not be in business selling rotten and spoiled meat. I would recommend shalimar halal meat instead.

If you are buying goat meat you need to have knowledge about buying young goat meat (unfortunately i got cheated yesterday) we just cooked what we got.16Jan2019: Went to buy goat meat again (assuming things may have gone wrong first time and i got bad ones by mistake). No this time also i got an extremely frozen mutton and not good mutton. I am not going to be buying from here any more.

Amazing experience. I loved all the meat types they had....fish, chicken, mutton, etc. Also, all spices were also available.

Dont ever go here avoide this place at all cost. This place is nasty the workers are so dumb . They made me come back after buying chicken I told them 3 times to cut them small. I came back they didnt even say sorry for wasting my time. They are not clean at all and their service is always horrible.

I went there to get some halal meat .Came home with bag full of garbage. Specially beef were very old and dry. Soon as my wife open the bag, her face changed. She said feel the smell, its not even good to eat. I leave far away from there, otherwise I would have gone back and told them keep your meat. I spend over $100 for garbage.Cashier Ladys behavior was very good .but if they keep doing this dishonest business with people they will be loosing business soon.I would never going back to this place neither will recommend to anyone.

This store is owned by an Ahmedi--a branch of Sunni Muslims but is not considered Muslims by different Muslim sects. I dont know if theyre Muslims or Not--Allah Knows Better. I went there once and did not really have good experience. The man behind the counter does not seem to be too professional. But I guess everyone has their bad days so Ill rank my experience 3 stars.

Worst unhealthy food - biriyani meat was stale. Raw chicken was bad. This was in their new store in Piscataway Stelton Rd. The guy claims to be an IT programmer who has opened a shop, and he seems to do a favor to you selling meat.

Frozen mutton....avoid...horrible taste...takes forever to cook.

Check your medical insurance coverage before you buy anything from this shop....... I bought briyani and it was very very bad odor when I opened in my home with in 60 mins.......

It is may be new ownership but today they really disappointed me by switching my meat packets with my uncle and charged me like that. Even though I told them that charge me separately, also put my chicken in separate bags and they mixed it.
