I know we are supposed to be practicing social distancing and all but that does not mean you be rude and dont do your job. We always pickup our espresso beans from there since its alway freshly roasted. I went to get a couple of bags today, and the lady behind at the counter is in panic mode. She actually shouts at people to stay outside if there are 2 people in the store. She punches the total in the register jumps back like 10 feet. She is in rush and does not want to answer questions fully. Finally, she asked me to reach over the printer and tear out the receipt and sign it. I was surprised. Dies the paper or the printer have germs or something. If so, then they should clean it. Anyway, I did that, but next time I am not going sign anything for her. I think the person over reacting and better stay at home than ask customers to do her job.

Our first time at this cafe’. The location is great. The employees are welcoming and sweet.Overall we were not impressed about the shop was very cluttered. There was a big fly inside the pastries display. 😳😩

I so appreciate the fact these folks are here to serve us coffee even during the covid 19 crisis. They are following all the guidelines for social distancing and Im glad most of the issaquah community is supporting them as they try to follow the state mandates for having fewer people in the store, protecting themselves by keeping their distance from customers, etc. its gotta be such a stressful time for them yet they are here making us coffee and I hope youll all join me in tipping big!

Wonderful little place, could be better! The quiche was excellent, but the coffee could have been better, the barista was quiet but not unfriendly, and the facilities were clean. The prices were reasonable. They had squirt bottle in the bathroom for guests to sanitize after themselves.

Pretty slow but I’m guessing they had a bunch of mobile orders. This is one of the most expensive lattes I’ve ever bought. A 12oz cost $5. That’s insane. It’s not worth that much money though it does taste fine.

Great coffee and pastries, wonderful service, and dog friendly patio, what more could one want? The portabello Beechers cheese quiche was *chefs kiss* magnificent.

I like the coffee and that is why I keep coming here. But service is slow and yesterday a waitress couldn’t make an iced americano with room and add milk to specification. After 2 tries I was about to leave in frustration when she gave me the milk to add. Not sure why the barista cannot follow simple request. Owner should do something. And please train your baristas to move faster, especially for the price you charge.

Really appreciate having a coffee shop down the road, but Im just not a huge fan of Ladros coffee and it doesnt help that the line to order goes soo slo

This place is such a waste of the great prime location at Issaquah Highlands. I went for a coffee today with a friend, I was quite disappointed by their poor bakery selection. Everything is wrapped in plastic by hand, it looks like they purchase their baked products in bulk from Costco. When I asked for a cup of water, the barista told me something it is actually extra charge but ok here is the cup. Extra charge for a water from the tap? This place looks very old inside, it has not been renovated in ages. The outside is the same, bunch of random sitting, some wood chairs, some metal chairs, no decor, no environment. I mean I wish someone open finally a beautiful coffee place at Issaquah with great bakery selection, cakes and macaroons, business idea, anyone?

I am a matcha latte lover but it’s really difficult to find a cafe that sells matcha!While I wait for my coworker, I needed a shelter to stay avoiding rain. Once cafe found. I wanted to skip Starbucks because I go regularly go there.Came to Caffe Ladro not expecting to see matcha latte. Luckily, they started to sell matcha and haven’t updated on their website.I also wanted to try honey lavender (syrup). I don’t normally add any flavor into my matcha latte but I wanted to try anyway!LOVE IT 😳💕 I wish I can taste this combination again from where I live 😭

My daughter and I were in the area on a hot summer day and wandered in looking for a cool drink. We were greeted by a friendly, knowledgable barista who helped us select our drinks. Clean spacious cafe with great staff. Highly recommended.

We work out at the steps every Saturday morning and decided to stop in for a cup of coffee. The time was 0713 hours and the door was still locked. The barista finally opened the door but didn’t greet us. As my husband was asking about the coffee choices (because this was our first visit), the barista couldn’t hear him due to his mask. He was trying to adjust the mask that he could be heard (not remove it) and the barista made a big fuss about that. We were prepared to overlook that but when my husband asked why the barista was not wearing gloves, he stated that he didn’t have to even though his hands were on the rim and inside the cup. It was not so much what he said but how he said it. His attitude was so poor that we decided to leave and go to a well-known coffee shop (Starbucks) instead where they were open on time and the baristas greeted us as we entered. Great customer service will win every time.

Only reason i am giving this place a 2 star review instead of 1 is because the atmosphere was enjoyable, other than that, i had a horrible experience. I spent over 6$ on a SMALL white chocolate mocha, that had absolutely no flavor and was not even hot. The lady that took my order and served me didnt say a single word the whole time i was there. I would have rather gone to McDonalds, which is sad to say. I was disappointed because i live right down the street and was hoping to make this my daily coffee place, but i will not be going back. I am shocked mainly due to the fact it is always so busy and has high ratings...

Consistently good coffee, I come here pretty regularly and would recommend.Like their traditional cappuccino which is served in a nice little mug on a tray and with a cookie, this is a unique feature and a nice touch.Also like their rewards programme, pretty solid deal. Friendly staff.Why not 5 stars? This is a specialty coffee shop, and by specialty standards their coffee is about 3.5-4 stars, but not 5.

Staff are friendly and patient and Ladro has a great rewards program. Load money on a card and buy your coffee with it to track purchases, buy 10 coffees and get TWO free. I had the ham and cheese croissant which was delicious. This is my new morning spot on the way to work!

Not organized. Went there as starbucks is busy in the afternoon. They could not get my orders right or get them in order. Totally lost. Might as well have gone to starbucks. I know some people could not take stress, this business cannot handle 5 orders in a row. Frustrating and disappointing. Baristas are in lala land.

The quality and service we had was horrible. Ive had much better coffee and my wifes hot chocolate was thin and watery and the chocolate was all at the bottom.

I love going after my hand therapy nearby, whether it is for a celebratory or consolation coffee, the baristas are friendly, and the coffee is delicious!

Pleasant employees and acceptable prices. Very nice, airy seating area, with decent outdoor seating too. Better than average food selection for a Ladro. They had however run out of breakfast burritos at 9 a.m., which seems avoidable and silly.

Overall good coffee, descent vibe, but it can often be slow to get a coffee (10-15m), not great if youre in a rush. Ill still go here over sbux or other big name chains. Good reward program too, well worth getting a rewards card.

I love the coffee here. Its a really nice location too. Lots of natural light and on a quiet corner. The neighborhood near by is a peaceful walk too if you like to take a stroll with your coffee. They lost a star because they have no vegan gluten-free options anymore. They used to have a chocolate raspberry bite that was very popular and so delicious but for some reason they removed it from the menu.

Cafe Ladro Issaquah Highlands is my favorite place to go. For the past year I have been there nearly every morning for my post-dog walk latte. Other days I’ve spent hours hunkered in at one of their cozy tables with my laptop, hammering out work, interspersed with coffee refill runs to the counter along with quick friendly chats with the great staff. Have made friends with other regulars and have grown to love the neighborhood through the “Ladro Hub”. Love this coffee shop. For me they are the heart of the Highlands. Thanks, Ladro. Keep up the good work.

Nice neighborhood cafe. Friendly baristas. Great coffee, and reasonable pastry options. Power outlets are available, so its convenient for working on a laptop. The place also has legos, games, and books to keep kids entertained, making it a nice place to enjoy a coffee break with the kids.Wish it featured some healthy snack options such as fruits, and dark chocolate, and that it opened till later in the evening.

Make sure you have 30 minutes to spare to get your mediocre cup of coffee. It’s perplexing how slow their service is

Coffee is always at least alright, but as others have mentioned it is always pretty slow and the seating arrangements are sub-ideal. Theres also no shades on the windows, so in afternoon sun theres glare on the laptop screen no matter where you sit. Add in a little more sense of urgency and some better seating and it goes right up to 5 stars.

Beautiful location. The staff is very friendly and its a great option over what can become the routine of other options. The coffee has that inner Seattle taste, and the staff each seem well trained trying to maintain that inner Seattle quality in the coffee. Parking too is simple, lots in back and in front, and street too is usually available. Its also a great walking destination for those who enjoy the walk routine. Its also a GREAT stop before or after a movie at the local Regal Theater, less than 1 block from Ladro down the street. As an avid walker, the entire area is well designed to support foot traffic. Theres also a beautiful man made lake across the street, with a .5 mile circular level path, which is awesome for those who like the outdoors and an easy level walk exercise. The lake is truly gorgeous, with rock gardens, waterfalls, and what I call the Highlands Stonehenge sculpture, worth the trek :-).

Best place to get coffee in the Highlands. Great chain with consistantly good coffee and a good assortment of treats from their own bakery. I highly recommend their home made granola with hot steamed milk. Great rich hearty breakfast.

I came into Caffe Ladro hoping to find somewhere a bit less mainstream than Starbucks to catch up on some freelance work (maybe do a bit of journaling). I ordered an Americano, which, despite being 3 shots in 16 oz, turned out weak and quite burned in flavor. Im not sure if I got bad shots or if that is just the Ladro Roasting style of coffee. I sat down hoping to work, but wasnt able to find anywhere with access to an outlet *and* a wide enough ledge to type or write on. The design of the interior meant every sound anyone made echoed, so it always felt noisy even though it wasnt crowded. I moved on as quickly as I could. If this location had better coffee, or a more comfortable facility for those who want to linger, I would probably come back again.

Great space, wonderful staff - I primarily study here. Ladro coffee delivers. I recommend the macchiato for here - comes on a sweet wooden tray and carbonated water to wash it down. Delicious.I like the styling of the old furniture, but would love to see some larger tables for study groups be put in instead of the small, at times rickety tables that are there; it is charming nonetheless.

Samammish Heights is a bit lacking in charm. Cafe Ladro makes up for that. Friendly staff, a really entertaining decor and excellent coffee / espresso and tea. Served with a smile. Go. Enjoy. Buzz after.

Ive been here a few times, and the coffee had been reliably great. Nutty, chocolate flavors are dominant in their espresso. The staff is friendly too. Only downside is relative lack of seating.

I love this place. Great staff, their drinks knock the socks off all the corporate coffee places, and I absolutely love their patio outside. I can get some sunshine, enjoy my coffee, and pet the local pups when the sit outside with me. Their service is a little slower than most places, but I enjoy the laid back atmosphere.

Great coffee, nice staff, good selection of pastries/food items, and mostly consistent baristas (9 out of 10 times). One issue with this place is it is becoming more of a workplace and less of that great coffee house feel with too many on their laptops and phones. Ever notice when someone talks on the phone, it is twice as loud as when they speak to a person across from them. Maybe Ladro, like many coffee shops, can request patrons to hold their phone calls elsewhere. Aside from that, more Ladro locations please, maybe Sammamish or Snoqualmie...

I love Ladro blend coffee. The problem is they don’t have it brewed everyday or any schedule to it. So I get the other blends and I get disappointed. Please have one blend always brewing.

Cafe is nice and so is the staff, thats the reason Im giving 3 stars. But the quality of drinks is not good. Id give them a 1 star. I took a Chai Tea and my boyfriend took a Matcha Latte. Both were not made well.For the matcha latte, it lacked good flavor and chai was heavily diluted, no froth, no creaminess.Id not go here with the intent of getting good beverages. Its otherwise a chill place to hang out in the Highlands area.

Needed a coffee fix and I was impressed with how good the roast was.

Quiet store on Sunday morning. I ordered two things: A scone and a mocha. Waited for 5 minutes for the scone to be warmed up--theyd forgotten about it. Had to go to the counter and ask them about it. (No apology). Waited *another* 10 minutes for the mocha; had to go to the counter again and ask about it-- theyd forgotten about that too. (Weak apology). Store manager: mistakes happen (but two with one order?); when they do happen, try to make it right and also try to figure out what went wrong so it doesnt happen again. Being in the food business and forgetting to bring a customer food (twice in one order) is kind of a big deal in food service.And p.s.: The mocha wasnt great either (way too much lukewarm milk, not much foam ). And yes, I probably could have returned to the counter a third time to redo it but at some point a customer just gives up...

One of the friendliest cafes in the area. They remember your name and your drink. Often my drink is being made as I walk through the door.

Friendly local coffee shop. This is my favorite place to grab a cup of coffee in Issaquah. They also have a small selection of brewing equipment and accessories for sale. The selection of beans for sale is always excellent.

This is a first for me having the company respond so quickly. I felt that I need to say something. Im a local and ladro has been a staple in my diet for years. When I saw this in the hilands I was like YES! High quality coffee drinks. Because you would think in Washington state that people that run coffee houses ie SB would get the clue to serve proper drinks. I appreciate companies that deliver art in there cup. Thank you ladro for always being consistent.

I come here now and again, the baristas are always friendly, and Ive never had a bad cup of coffee here (or pastry, their pumpkin pie was killer this fall! Their gluten free and vegan options are delicious as well.)There is ample parking around the cafe, comfy places to sit, and wifi.

I drink decalf coffee and Cafe Ladro has the best Ive ever had. Swiss water process too.

This is NOT Starbucks. Obvious, but it IS important to know the distinction, both good and bad. Great coffee made with care. Some nice baked goods. Those are the good. The bad? Well, Ive been going to CL for the better part of the past 10 years (Lynnwood, until I moved to Issaquah) but there is one consistency between all of them--S..... L...... O...... W..... service. You can also add in a little arrogance. My wife and I went to the Highlands one for the first time since moving here. We are NOT Starbucks fans, but we dont hate them either. Just better coffee here. But man oh man did we ever have to wait for that coffee, despite a nearly empty store. No less than 10 minutes to get my double tall latte. But, it wasnt a double at all, much to my dismay as I jumped in my car..... it was a single tall, which is a bit like having slightly coffee flavored milk. Not good. If youre good with slow..... you dont mind an inattentive and reticent staff that isnt the slightest bit interested in connecting with you... but you DO like great coffee... this is your place. For me, I expect just a tad bit better service and a bit more professional demeanor.
