Nate was very nice and got to my car very quickly. He is very reasonably priced. If I need a mechanic, he will be where I take my car! I live in Big Sandy and would drive to have him look at my car and fix it. He is very trustworthy person. He is very knowledgeable about cars. If other mechanics have done you wrong, Nate will do right by you! So glad I found this place!

Absolutely the best! Totally saved our trip from Louisiana to Ohio; we blew a spark plug and coil, and it was Saturday... this was the only shop we could find that was open, but Im really glad this was the one. We only lost a few hours, and by all right should have lost two days, and the work was fantastic. Its been almost two years, and no issues!Also, the charges were COMPLETELY reasonable. I totally expected to pay over $200, but barely paid over $100 for parts and labor.Its so hard to find a good, honest, reasonable mechanic. We have since moved to Memphis, and will likely make the trip to Family Auto for any needed repairs. Perhaps this time we will make an appointment!

Ask Nate he will diagnois it AND FIX IT! I dont look for cheap. I look for honest and fixed. Go here!

Nice guy very honest

Im not too consistent with giving reviews but I had to take time for this. In June of 2018 my Acura MDX started having AC issues so I went online to do some research. I had cold air in back and the passenger side but not the driver side.. Changed the actuator to no avail. I then took it to our mechanic in Suffolk, VA. After a week and $1,500 I once again had AC. Pretty steep bill but my car is paid for and still a very nice car. They said there was a part broken in the plenum box and it required a LOT of labor. I did in fact see the dash and console of my car completely disassembled. It was a bit scary!! Here we are June 2019 and its doing the same thing again. I was just sick because we now live in Henderson, TN... The mechanic in VA is Napa Auto Care center so they told me to take it to a Napa Care Center here in TN. Family Auto Repair is the closest one to us and he gets good reviews. Well, I think he saved us a whole lot of money and heartache. He had the car for a few hours, calls and says he thinks it just needs freon. This did not make sense to us or the mechanic in VA, but I told him to go ahead and charge it. He called back shortly after that and said its all Good! It was one pound low and now is cooling fine. He also put a die in it so if/when it leaks back down we will know where its coming from. He recommended we replace the cabin filter soon so we asked him to go ahead and do it. He saved the old filter to show us. He explained how/why the passenger side still had some cool air and the driver side had none. He also said that hes seen it with Toyotas. Bottom line he wont break into an AC without checking the charge first. I am so very thankful for his knowledge and integrity. I drove home with ice cold air and feeling very thankful. I cant help but wonder if thats all it needed last year. 😭 Highly recommend Nate and Family Auto Repair!!
