Employee in plumbing told me sharkbite connectors work work with pvc so helped me pick out $25 in fittings when there is a $4 pvc to cpvc connector that would have done the job much easier

Went to Buchheits for a primer bulb for my Mantis roto-tiller. Had to LOOK UP a clerk to help me and he seemed more interested in STOCKING SHELVES than helping me. They only had ONE SIZE, I had to take what I could get and HOPE it fit.

Always a good place for stuff that grows. Polite and professional, never had a bad experience here. They also support local NPR radio station.

First of all we really like this store. I have updated this today 10-21-20. Because since last posting they have done well..... Overall just fair/good. Service 3 stars.. Richard in back area did give us 40 dollars off the coop because of some damage and he was fine. 4 stars for him. Trisha that rang up the order seemed to have an attitude like we were causing her a problem because she had to take money off because of damage and kept asking us if that was all several times . 2 stars for her. Gary was very nice moving our original delivery date up a week. 4 stars for him. Delivery was hours late thought it was going to be here at around 2 pm but had to wait till 5pm... We could have done something else with time. Delivery guy I did not get name. He was rushing .. did get it back there ok. Set up on boards did not help us get it off, said something about the store closing in 30 minutes and he had to go ask him if he wanted his boards back he did not left us there to take the building off the boards by ourself my wife and I had to work really hard to do this if I had not thought about the floor jack we would have never got it done it still be sitting there. Wasnt even worried about getting the boards back. I guess 2 stars for him. Building however is very nice but you would think for $1,300 it could be a little bit bigger in the yard area also I wish they would have built it with a barn type roof, it would have a little more headroom we do like the building very much though very cute, looks nice back where its at. Building 4 stars. We spent a lot on chickens, feed, coop, blocks,etc. to get this project done. You would think they could have did a little bit better for us. Overall experience 3 Stars would like to give more cuz some people did fine but others did not.

Friendly staff and a hometown shopping experience. I shop here in a regular basis, my kids love to go see the baby chicks and other farm animals they sell here.

I love getting my chickens and rabbits here. I called ahead, and the young man I spoke to knew every detail of breed, shipment, hatchery, etc. He was really on top of his department. He knew he was getting in 15 rabbits that day, and the lady showed up while I was at the store. The rabbits were so docile they carried them in their arms, no cages or boxes required. We discovered that previously in the fall, we had purchased 2 of the rabbits from their lines. Those bunnies are excellent pets. Have never bitten anyone, are great with being held and fed by hand, and all were very healthy.The chickens are sometimes sold as juveniles, and sometimes as pairs, in addition to chicks. This is the only farm and home store where I have found this. Ive never had a bad experience with a chicken from here, as far as health after getting them home. Ive purchased 19 chicks, a pair, and a hen previously. Today I purchased 8 chicks, 3 pair, and 2 Roos, all of whom are gorgeous, healthy looking, and very energetic. I absolutely will continue to use Buckheits for adding to my flock. I value their knowledge, and the patience with which they handle the animals, and me, as Im telling them how many, and which Id like. Today was a really productive day, but no money left for bunnies lol!

In a perfect world, a store like this would have friendly, helpful service. A person would answer the phone when you called or be easily found to assist you with your questions so that you could make a purchase. Alas, we do not live in a perfect world.

It used to be better when they still had the bins of different kinds of bird seed. I always used to like to get some of all the different varieties. But now I have to buy a big bag to get what I wanted and I just dont like that so I havent been back. I dont have much use to go in there anymore. If I want a bag I can go to Walmart. My husband is happy though because now I dont spend $50 on bird seed all the time.

Found a lower price advertised on bucheits website for a part than what was on the shelf. Asked them to honor the advertised price, as IT WAS THEIR OWN PART, and after 10 minutes of back and forth, they refused to match the website price to what was in store.Guys name in the dept. Was Tim.Very disappointed in lack of customer service with Tim, although the cashier was nice and apologetic

Loved the store. The staff were very friendly. Went in to just look around do to thinking they would have a sale going on. Which they did. I got a very Nice Carhardt jacket for $50.00 which is an excellent price. Got several other items. Wound up getting quite a bit. Went to check out and to my surprise got checked out pretty fast. And was told to have a wonderful day and a Happy New Year........I go to this Buchheit very often. Its worth checking out because they always have good sales. I LOVE THIS STORE!!!

Using keywords to search products, the results is everything except what your looking for.For much better website experience, would suggest Menards, if for nothing else, their frequent 11% store wide rebates. Lowes has an excellent website experience as well.Highly recommend users DONT WASTE THEIR TIME ON BUCHHEIT WEBSITE!In store experience is recommended though, as theyre truly an old fashioned country store, featuring items from A - Z..

My husband and I are full time RVers. We regularly get our propane tanks filled at Buchheits. Very rarely does someone promptly come out to fill it. We usually wait about 20 minutes or so and then have to go back in to remind them. We prefer to go here because its the cheapest. But itd be really nice if they were a little more prompt. Besides that, I have no complaints.

I love this place. They have everything from plants to hardware to clothes, canning and cooking supplies, pet supplies, unusual food items, and my favorite for a comfort shopping break...the chickies, ducks, bunnies. Its just a great place to browse and shop.

I am very displeased with the Asst Manager on my last visit. He gave the appearance of not really caring. Both Asst Managers never returned my call. One even said that he would call me the next day. Lowes does a much better job of taking care of their customers.

Supplies for home remodeling tile, cabinets, all types of flooring outdoor clothing you can buy firearms, lawnmowers, and all types of dog kennel, chicken coop, fencing and live chicks,, duckling and much more the staff is always friendly and courteous.

Dont bother trying to get propane tanks filled here. Waited over 30 minutes for someone to come out & fill my tanks after paying for them even went back into the service desk incase they forgot me & was told somebody would be right out and after another 10 minutes I got my money back and left

6 checkouts 2 people working checkout and customer service. I waited 15 minutes for someone to help at the customer service desk. Then it was a mess just to exchange a battery that was under warranty. I dont plan on shopping here again. Last two times Ive been here I ended up walking out because they dont have enough people working checkouts

The help in your Jackson store is horrible!!!Waited 45 minutes for someone to show up at the power tools counter! Pressed the help button 4 times. One man, that wanted to buy a riding mower left and said he was going to Sears where he could get waited on. One guy was wanting a chain saw left also.They told me, at the service desk that they where at lunch, (1:15) however if I wasn’t an honest man I could have walked out with all kind of tools laying on the desk! Then when we went to finally check out the 2 people up there, didn’t have a clue either!The service in Jackson has always been poor but today was a record low!!!

I have raised chickens for years I always get chicks from ruralking this year last night I bought 10 from buchheits in Jackson MO by 440 this afternoon 4 were dead on way to bring them back the rest have died I had got ten of them all died never again will I get them from there and they were not very friendly when I returned them so buchheits have lost all my business and I have shopped there for a long time not anymore

Okay,but dont have as many choices to pick from,as the bigger supply stores do. Their plumbing and wall cover(panel,frp,leuon) areas lack tremendously. Although better tool,clothing,and hunting choices make up the difference. A 3 star is about as good as I can give.

Went in to see TIM @ STIHL equipment counter for my mowing glasses. The black rubber earpiecescame off the frames & I told him that I bought them over THREE MONTHS ago.TIM explained companys policy on returns past the 90-day timeframe; HOWEVER, TIM said he could call the folks @ STILL explain the situation to see if they would take the sunglasses in for exchange OR send BUCHHEITSa refund order. TIM suggested that I buy a new pair of STIHLS & he would call STIHLS Customer Support Center about helping a customer out. Although it wasnt his responsibility TIMS example of going theextra mile was CERTAINLY APPRECIATED by this old veteran. Hats OFF & KUDOS for having staff that isnt afraid to put in the time to REALLY HELP a stores customers enjoy this OLD-TIME full service with a smile..Respectfully,SSG(R) George L. Room to breathe in there and just an overall calm shopping environment. Typically saves me trips...until This Week! Tried to order fish yesterday, the guy behind the customer service desk said it was too late to order...Went home and read the add, cut off is actually schedule for October 4th. The next day which is now October 3rd, I go in there and try to order the fish, and their system will not allow me to pay cash or check for the fish,... Only credit card!So Ive yet to get my fish ordered because he was working hard to try to get into the computer system so he could use the credit card and that really didnt work. I left frustrated today... I will go back tomorrow and see if their system will go and allow me to use cash or check to order fish!What a nightmare!***UPDATE*** Dealt with another young lady this evening, got the fish ordered...finally on the third trip!!!
