Fantastic macaroons and assorted pastries. They don’t always have a wide variety of larger cakes so if you want that, you should call in advance. Can’t beat the beautiful look and incredible tastes though.
Trying to eat better, and this place has been great for those times when I allow myself to get sweets. Everything is homemade. The gelato is great. The entremets are lovely and like a little present to yourself!😉 The tres leches dessert was not good-very dry. But the color changing spoon made up for it lol.
This is a nice little bakery/patisserie tucked away in a bigger building that holds other small eateries and cafes. Its not particularly hard to see from the road, but it helps to pay attention. The atmosphere is not loud or busy, and is actually very warm and is a nice place to sit down and treat yourself, with seating both inside and outside. The place has a display for house made cakes, macarons, and other confectionaries as well as a gift display ranging from what it seems to be original recipes of marshmallows, chocolates, chocolate bark and containers for a set amount of macarons, so you can choose which ones you want. You can also order the standard beverages that you would at a cafe and you can also have them cater for you or you can order a specific cake to be ordered for yourself or an event. These cakes can be found advertised on their website along with their catering information, but I am not aware of exactly what they do cater. Now, moving onto the food, the important part. I went there with two other friends of mine, as an outing for her birthday. Note, the later you come the less options you will have aside from the macarons. We chose three of their raspberry cheesecakes, one for the each of us and one of their Eve cakes to share. The proportions arent big at all and are just the right size. The cheesecake consisted of a raspberry layer, the usual cheesecake layer with a graham bottom. The cake itself was very good, not overly sweet, the taste of raspberry is rather apparent but it doesnt overwhelm the taste of the cheesecake and the graham doesnt look to be your usual crust you would find at the supermarket. The cheesecake is also very aesthetically pleasing. Topped with mini white chocolate malt balls, a thin square or chocolate sitting on a small pipping of icing. These additions, in my opinion doesnt take away from the overall taste and look.Moving onto the Eve cake, I would say the size is perfect for one person. The cake itself is a mini two-layer dark cake (seems like velvet or a kind of chocolate) that is lightly iced with buttercream, and topped with lightly gold flaked fruit and a macaron of random flavor.Of course the presentation is very nice, and personally its not too much for the cake itself, its rather elegant. Now the taste, is just as good as well. The cake itself is moist and not dry and as a nice flavor too it. From what I can tell, there are small strawberry slices in between the layers or something fruit like. I can tell that the buttercream is genuine buttercream and is made at house, and has a nice vanilla flavor too, not bland or overpowering. The macaron, the flavor we tried was apple pie, was nice as well, not gummy, flat or uneven, very nice texture and shape considering making macarons is a hard and sensitive process. The selected fruit, a strawberry, raspberry and blueberry, is a nice refreshing finishing addition to wrap it up together.Price wise, I personally dont have any complaints, since I expected it to not be cheap but well priced all things considering. And the price we paid for the four cakes was around $22 or so, so take that as you will. Personally, as a college student with some type of funds coming in, I can say that I can go there ordering for myself and not be pressed for money, it all depends on what you buy.Overall, I certainly dont have any complaints, they even provide birthday candles if possible.
Brought my friend here today, because she wanted to have some French style pastries and coffee. I remember coming here twice and didnt care for their overpriced pastries or bland milky lattes...but since shes never been here, I decided to give them another chance. And boy am I glad that I did!!From what I remembered, the prices on their pastries were quite high for two to three bites. When I came in today, it seems like theyve changed the prices a little bit, more reasonable that is.I ordered the chocolate tart, my friend ordered the chocolate and pistachio mousse I believe. I absolutely LOVED my chocolate tart, the chocolate had a nice deep chocolate taste with a hint of bitterness. The bottom crust reminded me of a buttery shortcake, the custard was sweet and smooth. The custard really balanced well with the bitterness of the chocolate and buttery crust. It was amazing! I finished the whole thing and wanted 2nds! My friend really enjoyed her mousse cake.I also ordered the latte to pair with my tart. Before they didnt offer sweetener with their lattes, it was just coffee and milk. They now carry sweetener upon request. I got my latte with a shot of caramel. It was good, not overly sweet. I hate when places make their lattes too sweet and you cant pair it with a sweet pastry because it would be sugar overload. Only thing I didnt like was that my latte didnt have a nice thick foam on top. A good latte usually will have foam until you can see the bottom of your mug. Also they didnt give us the little shortbread cookie that usually comes with a drink =*(Other than that, I think this might be my new favorite place for coffee time. Definitely bringing my girl friends here!
The best ice cream and macaroons in town. Love everything the do.
After a particularly rough week & looking down the barrel of a much worse one, I found this gem. Two scoops of rich, creamy, delicious gelato that tasted amazing and seemed almost decadent. It was just the respite I needed. I look forward to trying more of their menu.
Love love love macarons and LA Brioche has the best! How do you order just 1 or 2 or 3 or 12? And how do you eat them responsibly? Is that even a thing? LA Brioche is a must.
Needed a wedding cake for our daughters wedding that has been cancelled twice - thank you not Covid 19. Found that La Brioche had an Entremet Cake. Found their new locations (super cool btw) and asked for the cake. There was some confusion regarding the size of the cake I thought I had reserved and what they had left. They graciously accommodated me. Ended up with a delicious - very showing - gourmet cake to help us celebrate our daughters wedding. Their products are a bit pricey and worth every penny. The quality is unmatched in the Jackson area! Treat yourself and visit LaBrioche!
This place is soooo delicious!!! They just introduced some brioche buns and cinnamon rolls on the menu, and WOW! The cinnamon roll is arguably the best you can find in Jackson, and the brioche buns are tasty takeaway snacks. Definitely worth a try!
I am from out of town and spend five months per year in Paris. This place is comparable to my favorite patisserie in Paris. The only difference would be the quality of ingredients (you can’t even get good ingredients in The States). This place is thoughtfully put together in and old setting. You step into a non-gimmicky mini vacation. The staff is wonderful. This, by far, is the best place I’ve visited during my six week stay in Jackson.
THE ONLY place for macaroons in the state. To get the equivalent youd have to go to the Ritz-Carlton. Their little cakes and pastries are also wonderful, the service isnt bad at all and the location is good. They are a little high, but not considering the quality. You can get cheaper at Kroger or Fresh Market or Whole Foods but it will not be the same at all. These people have some serious skill.
My favorite treat shop. So much to choose from and its all good. They make your hot chocolate with whatever type of milk you like.
It’s so awesome to have something like this here finally! Takes me back to childhood! Real French pastry chef training right here in Mississippi. Tastes like home, it’s an absolute treat so you need to go check out this patisserie. From macaroons to croissants it’s all delicious and their catering is top notch.
Wow. Croissants (we had an almond Danish and a ham & cheese) were some of the best Ive ever put into my mouth hole. Macarons were perfection. Solid latte. Vibe not bad either - not cozy, but comfortable.
Please update ur website with correct openHours.i love ur store but opening hours need to be updated for any good business.
La Brioche La Patisserie is a great addition to the Jackson food landscape. They offer great desserts of varying backgrounds (mostly European seemingly) to a sometimes culturally starved Mississippi background. I personally love their gellato and macaroons. Their cheesecake is not bad either. Their customer service is great and their prices in most cases are not bad.
Delicious coffee, fresh macarons, elegant ambience, all with my cute guy. We come whenever my love is in town. Every time I go there feel like dressing up and high heels. All of their baked goods look like they were made by famous baking shows onNetflix. I will be their loyal customer for the next 3 years till I move out of Jackson.
This place is pretty cool! My wife and I watch baking shows every now and then and decided we wanted to try some elegant patisserie. This place definitely has it. The Macarons are delicious and the cakes are gorgeous! I tried a lemon mousse cake as well as the macarons and while it was very good and a beautiful cake, it was not my cup of tea. The manager or owner (not sure which it was) saw that I had only had a few bites of it and offered exchange it for something else that I may want to try. I explained that no, it was fine, it was just my first time to try anything like that, and that we were now pretty full. She then insisted that I take a gift card (that had more than double the amount I spent on the cake) and come back to find a cake that I loved, completely free. My experience today showed me that the ownership and staff truly care about their customers! My wife and I will be back the very first chance we get!
An excellent bakery with amazing coffee and gelato. The staff are always kind and efficient, and the atmosphere is chic and artsy. One of my favorite spots in Fondren
Very nice little coffee shop with a large variety of macarons, other deserts, pastries and of course the signature brioche sandwich. I had a perfect red eye and a delicious ham and cheese croissant. They even top your coffee off with a shortbread cookie to cleanse the palette.
Today I had coffee...it was great. Last week I had a Turkey and cheese pastry. It was phenomenal. I will return.
Everything is delicious per usual. You have to try a macaroon. Staff working were super helpful. Definitely my favorite dessert spot.
I love this place. If you are looking for real gelato then this is the right one. The manager is awesome and would allow us to stay for while even after the closing time :)
Im french and Im passionate about pastries and very hard to please. But I gotta say this place blew me away. My hot chocolate was much like the ones I grew up drinking in France, my fruit tart was very much authentic, the crust was just the right amount of crumbly, the presentation was impeccable and the taste not overly sweet, just divine. My pain au chocolat was slightly off but I cant really pinpoint where it went off, it was overall excellent. I live 2:30 hours away and came specifically to try this place out .I was not disappointed!
This is the Best bakery in town! There is no doubt! Everything is absolutely delicious and so beautiful!
Loved everything about this place- from the helpful, warm employees, fun atmosphere, and of course the exceptional treats. I highly recommend the croissants and lemon tarts. I will be back!
The food is simple amazing. This is a must visit and the atmosphere is Frech cafe chic.
The delicious, rich little pastries are the best thing to get here. They taste as good as they look. The coffee, sorbets, and cookies are also good.
Best macaroons. Limited selection. Friendly staff.
I have ordered many cakes from here. The cake is phenomenal, very moist and tasty. The macarons and gelato are just P E R F E C T and fresh. I employees are absolutely helpful and professionally kind. I love it! Im so glad I found my perfect bakery here in the heart of MS. :)
DECADENT! All I can say it DO IT! Delicious and delicate goodies. Worth every calorie! #ohmyYum
The coffee and food was okay. Whatever bean they have on espresso was not very good. The first time I went the staff was friendly but not super knowledgeable about the coffee. The second time, the staff was impolite but not terrible.
I cannot speak highly enough of this place. They have the most to die for deserts around. Its also the only place i know of in the area to find fresh french macarons. Im addicted.
Less variety but their speciality (macroons) are really good. Even the broken ones.
Good coffee and delicious pastries. A bit on the pricey side though.
Great experience when you walk in. Excellent customer service and their food is just simply amazing. This a must go to location here in Jackson, MS.
As a 02.27.19, update, I tried the macarons today in their Cultivation Hall location in District of Eastover. They were: great, the perfect size, consistent in shape, and correct in the textures of the layers - crispy, then chewy, then creamy! I only tried two flavors this time, but was very pleased! The macarons were really fresh at the District and the customer service at this location was exceptional! The Fondren location was delightfully quaint and very clean. The macarons were comme ci, comme ça! Macarons should be consistent in size and have a crispy exterior wafer that transitions to chewy with a creamy and highly flavorful filling. If a patisserie has the perfect macarons, they will often sell out! Quality ingredients are key!
Lovely little spot with creative and delicious pastries and more. A must-go in Fondren! Try the Celeste Cake!
Ordered the small Dulce de Leche cheesecake by phone for my daughters birthday. Jenny was very friendly. My daughter loved it!
Wonderful gelato. Fabulous pastries, which is exactly what you expect from the owner, who is a proper Parisian.
Excellent, proper, espresso. Delicious macarons. Polite and attentive staff.
Their pastries are Great! Also had great customer service.
Macarons, Macarons, Macarons! My go to place in Jackson for a decadent little cookie or 3. ;)Their chocolates, baked goods and sweets in general are some of the best in town. You wont be disappointed.
Place is great, great espresso, pastry delicious, staff is very knowledge, Has a Italian and South American flavor, 5 starts. If you love a great party and gelato this is your place.bom apetite, buen provecho
Nice cozy coffee place. It looks like this kind of place is only one in the entire MS.
Employees are always so kind and French pastries are authentic and awesome.
My husband and I love indulging in an occasional treat from La Brioche! Though offered only seasonally, the lemon meringue tart is divine, and the dulce de leche cake is INCREDIBLE!
Best macaroons I’ve ever had!
I have recently become obsessed with french macarons. I have tried to make them and tried to find places to buy them. I dont have anything else to go by but the macarons here are amazing. I have gone back many times just for these macarons. I would recommend La Brioche to anybody who loves sweets and wants something a little different.
A gem in Jackson! Authentic quality, nice location, and helpful staff.
