I was able to be seated as soon as I arrived. I wasnt sure if I wanted to sit at the Bar and I made the hostess aware of that. She said there is a bar in the back with no one else sitting there would you like to see if you want to sit there and if you dont, its fine I will sit you at a table when one is available. I sat at the bar. I order the Churros French Toast and an Omelet with green peppers, onions and spinach. It was delicious, I couldnt eat it all not even half of it. It was definitely a lot of food. I also ordered hot mint tea. The server was attentive and once I was done. I asked for 2 cinnamon rolls and she back with my card and the receipt and said she forgot to ring it up but dont worry about it. I gave her a really nice tip and I told her I really appreciate that. I hope she didnt get in trouble for that but I will definitely be returning here.
Really enjoyed this place! Was super fun design and the staff were very nice! Super fast service which we were not expecting since they were so busy. Really reasonably priced. Coffee wasnt that great but the food was really good. The pancakes are the blue shark pancakes and they are VERY sweet. Either eat as dessert or split with someone.
The vibe is great. The decor is awesome and the staff is super nice. I had the apple pie French toast and it was soooooo good! The pie crust leaf definitely made it a statement dish, it didn’t need syrup or anything. I loved it!!! If you are particular with how your meat and hash browns are cooked make sure to mention it when giving your order. My sausage was a bit touch and potatoes way too soft but the meal was still good. Would recommend!!
This was a BIG improvement from Blue Moon which was a really big disappointment. We were seated immediately and the waitstaff was very attentive. Our food came quickly and it was really really good. I had the Mexican omelette and the Captain Crunch french toast. The only thing was that there were flies all over the place and around us while eating which was kind of annoying. But the place was cool and very spacious. We will definitely be coming back here and never going back to Blue Moon.
First time here, it took an hour to get in. We visited Blue Moon but they were on a 2 1/2 to 3 hour wait, the host sent us to this place which is called “Blue Moon Too”. I’m not disappointed at all. I wanted to order everything on the menu that’s how delicious it looked. Long story short,,, you must visit, it’s totally worth the wait!
This place offers great brunch options. I highly recommend the Captain Crunch french toast if you enjoy sweet breakfast foods or the Sweet Baby Jesus if you enjoy seafood. The decor is unique but overall a great ambience for a brunch out. I would recommend calling ahead to get a table as this place can get quite busy at peak brunch times.
Good place and good staff, beware of the imposed 20% gratitude fee for more than 50 dlls of consumption...This restaurant has a lot of art and decorations. I got the Crab dip french toast and gotta say it wasnt the right choice for me. Other than that, we had a good time. (2.5 out of 5)
The large dining area had tables spread out so made covid-precaution dining. The food portions are generous and served hot from the kitchen. I had the pumpkin pancakes (seasonal?) and my dining partner had huevos rancheros - highly recommend both
Gosh this French toast! So good!I really liked the atmosphere in this place, enjoyed sitting outside, but also at the bar. Staff are super friendly and serving with smiles always. I hope Ill get more chances getting my brunch over there.
Great food. Capn crunch french toast and the hash were great. Staff were very friendly. The size of the venue is perfect.
WARNING: Super flimsy plastic utensils to eat with. (Pic attached) quite literally could not cut through my huevos rancheros (corn tortilla was too tough for the plastic knife)On the bright side It was funny watching a whole restaurant full of people struggling to eat lol Some ended up just using their hands to eat French toast 😂 (it was funny and gross!) We gave up trying to eat so we paid our bill and left.If you come here, bring your own silverware.
We had breakfast here 2 days in a row. Monster sized portions of delicious food. Love the movie monster/pop art feel inside. Staff was very helpful with options and were attentive. Their bacon is killer and all the hash options are delicious. The Sweet Baby Jesus was amazing.
Found this restaurant by accident...Totally Awesome best breakfast we had in Baltimore. Food was cooked perfectly .portions good size & well priced...far better than any other breakfast wehad during our stay . Staff was also personable, helpful with electronic menus & gluten free options AWESOME. We will be sure to stop in again, since they are so easy to find
Found this place on our last day leaving Baltimore and I wish we would’ve found this the 1st day. Very cool on the inside with all the pictures and wall art work. They have this dish called Sweet Baby Jesus all 4 of us ordered it and we all loved it. So if you’re in Baltimore be sure to check them out they have something special here. 5 Star for the win
Everything was so great! Our waitress was so funny and nice! Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fast, cheap, and delicious breakfast
Had the raspberry brie french toast which had unique flavors but I did not recognize any brie. However, there was a strong cardemom flavor that was likely from the mint which was not listed in the description on the menu. I enjoyed it mainly due to creative blend of flavors. The vibe is super cool at this joint but I could hear the music coming from the kitchen loader than the dining area. The service was good as expected. The prices are also high compared to other cafes.
Awesome breakfast spot. Be sure to come hungry!
Everything is twice the price, and the food was half as tasty.
I took my badass daughter here today to introduce her to a badass breakfaat. This location did not disappoint! Even with COVID seriously restricting the ability to dine in, it does not seem the phase them. The portion sizes and quality are not degraded in the least, unlike other experiences I have had. If they were closer, I would be a serious regular to both locations.
There is often a wait, even precovid. Well worth the wait. Large portions and everything is always delicious. Staff are friendly and efficient. Street metered parking only.
Great if you like to sit and not be helped. Had to leave due to being ignored. Thanks!
This place is a long time favorite since we discovered it off of the Food Network TV show for the Captn Crunch crusted French toast - but since then we have come to other favorites like the cinnamon rolls, various omelettes, and of course the biscuits.Order ahead if you can but even if youre waiting for, it they rarely take very long.Always a great choice!
The what the fluff french toast was insanely good.. would recommend for anyone with a sweet tooth
Food was great, but the waiter whats not good. It took them like 20 minutes to come to my table. And then we never saw him again until you give to check.smh
Portions were large and reasonably flavorful. A bit more care and balance to the dishes would have been better.
Food came out quick. Husband loved his food. Mine wasbt bad but I wasnt super impressed either. Wasnt a fan of the sausage gravy.
Awesome, went there 2 days in a row!! Food was outstanding, I had the Captain Crunch French toast which in my mind was a sugary cereal on bread but it wasnt! The bacon and sausage was great along with the service!! Cant wait to visit Baltimore again, be there in a heartbeat!!
Ive never had a cinnamon roll that I couldnt finish, this place left me with two. Not sure if it was just an off day for them but the food lacked flavor, utensils were a joke, and Tropicana sells a better orange juice.
Great place to grab a really good breakfast. I had the G&G Country Scramble which was really good and very filling and my wife had the Captain Crunch French Toast. We were a little worried about the french toast being too sweet but it came recommended by our friends and it did not disappoint. I would recommend trying it.This is a very popular place to eat so there can be a wait. We called ahead to see what the wait was and also checked their original location (Blue Moon Cafe) and picked the location with the shortest wait.
The food was okay, but I have celiac disease and got sick from it. The server knew nothing about gluten or cross contamination and was really dismissive. I was disappointed in the whole experience since we heard good things and how the food is pretty pricy. Wont be going back.
Great place with fun people. Food good, they make a fabulous green chili sauce from scrotch.
Great place for breakfast! Staff as super friendly, great food size portions and great price. The cafe interior is cool and wacky! It does get mega busy on a weekend though and was queuing out the door with a wait of over 45 minutes. In the week you can pretty much walk in with no wait. Will be back!
5 stars service, location and atmosphere but 1 star for food. The omelet was flat, barely any cheese and ham was cut in big pieces and tasted like rubber. Potatoes were burned. Instead of rye toast, they gave me a huge biscuit but I didn’t say anything because I just wanted to get out of there quickly. Latte was not good, milk was over frothed and there was literally half a cup of coffee & foam.
This is an eclectic spot for a great breakfast. Had the eggs Benedict, biscuits and gravy, and a great atmosphere! Will return the next time in Baltimore.
Decided to come here for breakfast, I tried to call to place a to-go order as I knew they were closing soon. No one answered and I called multiple times, so I decided to rush over to place my order in person. I get there right at 2:45, only to be told the kitchen closed at 2:45. They are open until 3 online, and when I arrived the big “open” sign was still lit up in the window. I really don’t understand this, as I’ve worked in multiple restaurants myself and we always let customers place orders up until closing time. I also know how annoying this can be when you want to get off, which is why I tried to call ahead of time. Either way, a huge slap in the face to call and be ignored, then to get there and be told they closed 15 minutes before they are scheduled to. Thanks for wasting my time.
Captain crunch French toast is amazing, they have no sense of urgency at all.
Staff was very friendly and I loved the vibe and atmosphere of the place. I will definitely come again.
Amazing Every Year I have to come down. Blue Moon Cafe is a Must Go!!!! BAD A$$ BreakfastKids, Myself have multiple Favorites.
I enjoyed the pina colada and banana French toast. The sweet baby Jesus was okay. My daughter didnt enjoy her red velvet pancakes or the sausages. She said the scrapple was ok.
I was blown away with how amazing the place looked. I thought it’d be rude to take pictures but it sure is gorgeous. The food is good too!
Loved this place so much that I ate here TWICE in the same weekend during my last visit to Baltimore. First time I got the Sweet Baby Jesus which is a popular off menu item but I wasn’t particularly thrilled about (but I don’t care for crab like other Marylanders do 🤷🏾♀️). I should have gotten the Huevos Rancheros my friend ordered, because I tasted that and it was BOMB! Second time I went, I order the Captain Crunch French Toast with a side of eggs and bacon. Wow! That was mouth watering DELICIOUS! Great food, awesome atmosphere featuring the works of local artists. I can’t wait to go back again!
The Western omelet is fantastic. The home fries are great. The coffee is a little bit to pricy and the server never gave us our toast but charged us for it anyway. Overall not a bad way to start the day off with breakfast. I would definitely come back with friends and family.
This place is insane.... cool people and the food is incredible.Sweet Baby Jesus is not on the menu but it may be the best breakfast I have ever had.....only competition I have seen to a bed and breakfast place we went to earlier this year.I live 2 hours away - I would drive there just for breakfast
We absolutely loved it...everything was delicious, the setting was comfy, the staff was nice. Blanca totally rocked! Thank you
Food is tasty but for the price it should at least be hot. My total breakfast meal totaled over 140.00 with 25.00 added for gratuity.totalling 160 plus for a meal that was nearly cold is unacceptable. I know its warm outside but the door should stay shut. I had to wrap my food and leave because I was tired of swatting flies while trying to eat. The staff was friendly though.
We have been to the Blue Moon twice in the last few months when we visit Baltimore. Consistently good no matter what weve ordered. This is a must visit for breakfast!
Down to earth service with a funky eclectic atmosphere. I ordered the Capn Crunch French Toast. Not bad but the Sweet Baby Jesus washed away my hunger! Very delicious 😁😋
I enjoyed my 2nd experience here. The food was just as good now as it was then.
Was a fun spot in Baltimore to go to. One of the better places I went to here. I had the baby Jesus
I had one of the most memorable days of my life over there. Amazing environment. Great breakfast!
The Hellfire Hash was sooooo dang good (even without the eggs; allergic). Amy was an excellent server with a great personality. She accommodated my requests with no issue(s) and even hooked me up with some swag to take back to ATL. Highly recommend both the Hellfire Hash, and Amy as your server. 5 stars, would recommend.
I love love loooooove blue moon!!! I normally go to the one on Aliceanna but this is my first time at their sister restaurant on Light St. I loved it. It sits right on the corner and its not to far from Federal Hill. The staff are great and the food is just as awesome. If you havent checked it out go down. There is parking that you have to pay for but if you make it before 10 a.m. Monday through Friday the parking is free. After you eat you can take a walk down the Harbour and do some site seeing.
Great place to eat..Great food selection.
I had the pineapple french toast. It was very delicious. There is always a wait but the food is worth the wait.
This place is amazing. You won’t find a better brunch place in Fed than this one! A lot of the restaurants in Fed try to do a hipster spin off on brunch but this place is classic original brunch done right. Don’t get me wrong they have crazy awesome things like their famous Captain Crunch French Toast but they have all the classics you want too. I’m personally a huge fan of biscuits and gravy but it’s usually not very filling so when I saw that this place had a massive omelet with country sausage gravy smothered on top of it I was sold! Their bacon strips are ginormous and thick. They also give everyone a massive buttery biscuit with homemade jam that’s so delicious. Coffee pours are piping hot and frequent which is a must. They also have a pretty fancy latte machine so they can make you anything you desire. This place is a MUST. Be prepared to wait for close to 40 minutes though on prime time but trust me it’s well worth the wait.... well well worth the wait.
Amazing spit. The food was fantastic the service was great. Loved thia place!
We really did enjoy our food. The waitress could have been a little more attentive.
The french toast was delicious. The juevos rancheros were ok, but overly salty. Coffee was thin and lacking flavor. More of a fun dessert spot.
Blue Moon cafe is amazing! This is our 4th annual East Coast trip and this has always been a must stop since year one! Sweet Baby Jesus and Capn Crunch French Toast are DELICIOUS.
I love their food. Staff is really friends. Service can be slow on weekends.
Awesome place with amazing home made biscuits and other great meals. The best part is the creepy/spooky decor. I would 100% come back here
It was ok. Overated. Skimped on crabmeat
I LOVE Blue Moon Too! After years of having friends in Baltimore rave about it, I finally got to visit. The food and service is incredible. Yes, you need to try the Captain Crunch French toast! Also, the place has the best decor - full of Tim Burton stuff. Beetlejuice, Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands... can’t wait to go back!
Bacon & Cheddar Omelette! Very cool place with super friendly service. Enjoyed a vanilla cappuccino to start. Recommended for a hearty breakfast/brunch stop in Baltimore!
Great staff and the food can’t be beat.
Friendliest server who tended to our breakfast orders with expediency and a smile. Order their biscuits, largest size ever seen!
