Didnt buy anything this trip but it is an awesome place. Lots of great options from everyday affordable to lifetime quality once in a lifetime purchases. I would HIGHLY recommend checking them out first!

We loved the attention we received as soon as we entered Vermeulens Furniture Store. Our salesperson, Jennifer was very knowledgeable and helpful. We purchased a beautiful Smith Brothers Sofa and 2 oversized matching Chairs (which will have extra firm cushions for back and body support). We saved a lot of $ during their wonderful Sale this summer and our order will be delivered in October because of the pandemic and delay/shortage of materials....which we are happy to wait for because we found exactly what we were searching for. *Delivery is only $99!! I had an unusual experience with Vermeulen Furniture. I ordered a mattress over the phone without trying it out before purchasing it (due to travel and a timely situation).Chris and Jonathan were both extremely helpful throughout the process. They worked with me over the phone and helped me to figure out which mattress would be best for me based off my preference. The process was quick and easy, the delivery date was flexible, and their prices are AMAZING! I did not get the feeling that they were “salesmen” only trying to take my money. The workers at Vernmeulen’s are nice, genuine people who want to help you get the best deal while finding exactly what you’re looking for. Would definitely go back in the future!

I was recommended to Vermeulen’s furniture by my parents who live in the Jackson area. We initially had a great experience with our sales rep Sean and purchased two custom chairs in Feb 2021. We were told 16-20 weeks which we expected due to pandemic. They required the full payment at time of purchase. After 18 weeks passed we called for an update and found out that our chairs would not be ready until end of July, 26 weeks after purchase. We live out of the area so planned a trip to my parents for that weekend to pick up the chairs. No one called to let us know that they had been delayed once again until end of September. I now call every two weeks for an update because no one from the store has ever reached out. They have all of our money and don’t seem to care about when we receive our chairs. When I called today the woman I spoke with was not friendly at all and I felt as if I was bothering her when I simply wanted an update. We feel that there is a lack of customer service and proactivity. Our chairs are not due until 33 weeks after date of purchase unless there is further delay. I would shop elsewhere as this store has higher prices and has failed to deliver the customer service one would expect. We are extremely disappointed with our experience.

The staff were very attentive and friendly, as well as being upfront about the time it is currently taking for ordered furniture. Steve helped us find a beautiful, comfortable sectional sofa that our family will enjoy for many years.

Had help from Krystal and she was good! Felt like I was being watched like a hawk, but had everything explained. And was pointed to exactly what we wanted.

We bought a sectional from Vermeulen’s on 1/30/2021. Part of the sectional is ready to be picked up now, and the other will arrive in a few weeks. The staff was really friendly, we received assistance from Nate Vermeulen and Jonathan Gillett. Also 10/10 recommend the optional treatment they offer on the couch, it comes with a 10 year warranty and the demonstration they do is pretty impressive.

This place has some beautiful furniture but very pricey. Nobody told me that they have clearence furniture in the far left and far right rooms in the store. If you want the best service then shop in the main room.

Huge store, beautiful selection, friendly salesman that is knowledgeable of their stock. Our first time in the store, and found precisely the piece that I had been looking for, a big mans Lazy Boy recliner with electric controls in real leather. To make the price sweeter, they are having a special on selected pieces along with a pop a balloon discount on your purchase. We also found other pieces that we will be looking forward to buying soon.

We needed two rocker recliners and didnt want to go into a store during this difficult time. We found what we were looking for on their website, called the store, spoke with Chris who took the time to find out exactly what we were looking for, asked questions about our decor and matched up exactly what we needed, also arranged for delivery. My wife and I drove an hr and half to get here and it was worth the trip . Vermeulen has a large store with a lot of choices in furniture and beds and mattresses. Some unique quality stuff . Well known manufactures of quality stuff . Good prices if you are looking for the good stuff . Staff is very nice and knowledgeable and was even offered a cold beer while shopping. Really enjoyed our visit here .

I took my mother shopping for a new mattress on Labor Day. The store was somewhat busy, but not crazy. We were there for at least 30 minutes and not one salesperson so much as acknowledged our presence. I understand that they may have been short-staffed on a holiday, but not one, out of at least four that we saw, said a word to or even looked at either one of us. Ill be with you shortly would have gone a long way. We took our business elsewhere.

They have quality furniture but no good deals. They are over priced in comparison to other quality furniture stores such as Ashleys, Wayfair and Overtock. They only have credit based financing unlike Ashleys.

Was not hounded upon entering the store and was able to look for the items I was interested in purchasing. Did have to look for a salesman but Jim Clark assisted us. I got what I wanted in the fabric I wanted. Prices were good.

Have purchased many pieces of furniture over the years with great satisfaction at being able to buy locally.We recently purchased a mattress with a 120 day comfort warranty; when we found the mattress too firm, staff graciously helped us find another mattress and arrange for delivery/pick up trade of mattress. Sleeping comfortably now.This week Chris helped us take advantage of a ‘Smith Bros of Berne’ sale to select a sofa and fabrics to coordinate with recliners we knew we wanted. Really appreciated her patience with us in finding the right sofa and all of the time on multiple days trying to determine the right fabric choices for each piece of furniture.

Walked around 20 minutes looking for someone to help us. Finally saw 2 salesmen talking to each other. I asked for help and was told where the sofa sleepers were located. I asked if he could show me and I got the feeling that we were bothering him as he had to walk to the other side of the store. He explained that there was an upcharge for the air mattress and it felt like he thought we were wasting his time. I then asked about power recliners and he pointed to where they were. We walked around the recliner section and thats when my husband said I think youre right hes not interested in helping us. As we were walking out he met us and asked if I found a recliner I liked. I told him that I didnt even know where the power ones were because you were not interested in showing us. I told him we were going somewhere else that had better customer service. His response that he shouted as he was walking away was YOU CAN GO TO ART VAN THEY DONT EVEN HAVE ANY FURNITURE LEFT! Im guessing if we would have showed up in our work clothes driving our brand new car we might have gotten better customer service. Will not recommend this place to anyone.
