I ordered the torchiere lamp after much searching I received it in a few days. I thought it came very well package, and it was extremely easy to put together and I was very happy with the construction, it seems to be very well made. The only issue I had was the bulb did not light up when I turned it on it took several tries to get it to come on. I called the company and they sent out a new bulb immediately. Now it works great.I would also say it is a very bright light when its turned on high I wish that it went a little lower when you dimmed it, but overall very satisfied.

My lamp is years old and needed a ballast, after Customer Service walked me through steps to check issues. It is covered by the warranty and for only shipping, I have a functioning lamp! So helpful and prompt on my lighting problem. Thank you!!

Okay for what they are in terms of a light source, but the build quality is not in line with the ask. The White plastic flanges that hold the black tubes of the Torchieres together shatter after about a year. I own three of these and Ive had to splint two of the three together using Duct tape. Not the fashion statement the Plutonian price tag infers. Ive contacted the company and they are singularly unhelpful, but EVER so ready to sell you another lamp. Maybe this will get past the unhelpful secretary and to somebody in the Engineering/Warranty/Ownership department.

I bought a BlueMax 42w Dimmable floor lamp for $200 a few years ago (it is on sale now for $100), before the Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs (CFLs) appeared on the market. The BlueMax bulb did provide great light (similar to sunlight), but I didnt know at the time that it is a proprietary product and cannot be bought from anyone else. I only used the lamp occasionally to do some hemming or altering clothes, so I thought the bulb was the problem when the lamp quit working one day. I searched for another bulb everywhere and ended up ordering it from Full Spectrum Solutions for about $50 including shipping. It turned out that the bulb was not the problem, but the ballast itself, which is also available only at Full Spectrum Solutions (for about another $100), making the lamp not work repairing. Though I got a partial refund on the bulb, I have learned a very expensive lesson: never buy proprietary products that have no reasonably-priced replacement parts anywhere else.
