After moving from Tuscaloosa and reading the reviews, I decided to bring my six year old to this eye clinic even though it was not in-network with our insurance. Everything was great until it was time to see the doctor. It didnt take very long for the doctor to become frustrated with my son. He still proceeded with eye drops, and called us back a few minutes later. Within 15 minutes the doctor decided he didnt have the patience to fully exam my sons eyes, and we would have to reschedule for another day. (My son wasnt jumping around acting a fool, he just couldnt keep his eyes open) So instead of trying multiple techniques this doctor decided he didnt have the patience, and now Ive used our only insurance covered eye exam for some eye drops. This was a total waste of my time and money. I have never left a doctors office in tears until today. So instead of rescheduling I will gladly drive an hour an thirty minutes for my son to see a doctor who has bed side manners and patience.

From the first ring of my phone call to make my contact exam to the last step onto the sidewalk I had the most enjoyable and pleasant experience. The staff is absolutely wonderful and inviting. Dr. Ferris himself is a warm sweet patient man. Very thorough and informative. I definitely recommend them...the entire facility and staff. If I couldve rated 20 stars I would have.

Wonderful eye clinic! Dr Ferris, along with his staff, Mary and Ellen, are not only knowledgeable and professional, but very kind and compassionate. Eye exams give me terrible anxiety because I’m very claustrophobic, but they all are very comforting and understanding. I highly recommend Ferris Eye Care!

Wound up getting two pairs of glasses,One for everyday use and the other for computer use, they are awesome. The prices on frames is a bit higher than other places I seen them, but the customer service and lens options more than make up for it.

Excellent staff and customer services. Recently had an issue with my glasses. They took care of it immediately with no hassel or questions asked with a can do attitude to get what I needed. This is not what I call an assembly line optometrist like those other Doc-in-a-box.. the doctor and staff really care about your eyes and taking time to explain other options that may benefit your eye care.

This eye clinic is kinda adorable place to get eyes checked and eye needs. The staff is super friendly. The doctor is pleasant to talk to and remembers everything we talk about the previous visit. The atmosphere and environment is warm and pleasant. There is even a little lighthouse at the counter of the street to symbolize and eye doctor. Like I said, the place is adorable 😂😇

I saw Dr. Ferris initially for myself for an emergency, then later took my daughter. The entire staff is extremely friendly, attentive, and they work well with both adults and children! Highly recommend!!!

I had such a nice experience . Dr. Ferris and his staff made me feel very comfortable . They didnt try to over sale me anything . I felt like they were caring and supportive . His equipment was very up to date in comparison to my previous eye doctor so I feel he will be able to keep a better check on the condition of my eyes. I highly recommend him.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr Ferris. For some reason nobody could get my glasses right since I was 19 years old. I took a chance and went to see if Dr Ferris could help me. It was a good time since I broke my glasses. He got my prescription spot on! For the first time in many years Im able to see clearly and my headaches are not near as often. I would highly recommend going to see Dr Ferris and his team.

Dr. mark ferris is the best in his field. not only is he thorough, but he is honest and he is friendly and he has a wonderful staff who have the same friendly and caring personality he has. I highly recommend him, my late mother, my sister and brother in law are patients of his and I have several friends who use him as well. make an appointment and experience dr. marks caring and professional personality for yourself. you wont be disappointed.

Dr. Ferris was the first doctor to notice certain birth defects and disorders in my eyes. He told me to get my primary doctor at the time to test me for Marfan Syndrome. Years later I did have genetic testing done . My son and I both have the FBN1 mutation and both were diagnosed with Marfan! Thank You Dr. Ferris for doing such a thorough exam and catching our genetic mutation!

Dr. Mark Ferris provides a very thorough & explanatory eye examination in a warm, welcoming environment. His care for his patients, staff, and passion for his profession in optometry definitely show & far excell any other Doctor that Ive used. Dr. Ferris is a fantastic physician. He is very thorough and knowledgeable while performing eye exams as well as special testing for things such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and hypertensive retinopathy. You will find glasses to fit every budget!! He also specializes in an alternative to lasik surgery... Contact lense retainers worn while you sleep!! Then the next day you can go without glasses or contacts while at work, school, or play!!!

I highly recommend Ferris Eye Clinic as they are second to none in expertise and caring. Dr. Ferris gave our family perfect corrective vision, and we havent seen better in years! Dr. Ferris customed fitted Ortho K contact lenses for me as I have a pterygium in one eye. The Ortho K lenses are worn only at night during sleep, and 20/20 vision is restored that will last all day without contacts or glasses. It is a great alternative to LASIK surgery as Ortho K requires no surgery. As a musician, this 20/20 near and far vision without glasses has greatly improved the quality of my life. Our family is very grateful for Dr. Ferris and his staff as they have truly blessed us and our community!
