I had a weird experience here and thought sharing about it could potentially help another mom. I drove an hour to this location with my toddler because it is one of the only options for selling baby clothes aside from FB Marketplace, etc. I brought 5 bins neatly labeled by size. After I checked in, I was told it would be about an hour to review. I wasn’t expecting this, but had driven all the way there so I went and killed some time around town. I came back a little over 1 hr later and went to the desk to see if they were wrapping up. It’s important to note that all the staff I encountered were pleasant. However, when I asked how much longer, she said “I just need to put it in the system, you’re next in line.” I tried to get an actual estimate of time because again, I had a toddler with me and wasn’t planning on staying here this long. She said “probably another hour.” — wait what? So I politely said I needed to go. She said okay, and took all the clothes and put them back in my bins and I left.I think the two things that were most frustrating is that you have to pick your clothes back up by 8pm (so it’s not like I can go home and come back the next day), and that no one made any sort of apology for telling me an hour and being so far off on that estimate. I understand that these are estimates, I just felt like the whole trip was a waste of time.I wish I would’ve known all of this ahead of time, so that’s why I’m sharing.

The Once Upon a Child in Stuart, FL is AMAZING! Not only the store is huge, clean and well organized, but the manager Alex is so nice and very helpful. They really have awesome customer service here. I can to sell ad not only there was no wait but she is willing to ensure my Tub will be ready today since I can from far away. I highly recommend this store is you have not visited yet.

I love to shop here, the prices are great they offer a variety of name brands and they do go over the clothing and items to ensure consistency. The staff is always nice they greet you they help you if needed and are always great when it comes to the checkout

Omg. The best place ever for children’s clothing! Why EVER (well there are some exceptions) buy brand new clothing for high prices when you can have gently pre-loved clothing from OUAC? It was an obsession of mine my whole pregnancy and planned out his first year of wardrobe under my already lower budget! Everyone is helpful and friendly! 5 stars for sure! I love this store! I have been buying and selling with them for six years, and the staff has always been friendly, professional, and helpful. They always have a large selection of clothes, baby/toddler gear, books, and toys. I have never been disappointed. You just cant beat the savings! Today, Ashley and Alex were especially helpful while I looked for (and found) an amazing deal on formal wear for my son.

Great store with beautiful baby/toddler/children clothes and baby gears. The only thing that I don’t really like is every time I bring in something to sell they always pick on it saying it’s faded or stained etc… when they themselves sell faded or sometimes even stained items. This is almost like an insult because I always make sure that the clothes are washed and nicely folded when I bring it to them. I also keep the baby gears in good shape and clean them frequently before I would even sell it. Overall, I had a great experience shopping there.

Toys are organized. Bookshelf by color no less!All clothes clean and on hangers. Huge long counter for buying or selling. Always helpful. I just moved to the area recently and took my first trip here. I was so excited because I loved the once upon a child in my old city as well as a few others I have visited. Upsides I noticed, This one is very big, lots and lots of stuff to choose from and employees are very nice. Down sides I noticed the quality of clothing they have isn’t great for a lot of the items which is weird considering the prices for them are a bit higher then the other stores I’ve been to. Also I was so confused after reading so many good reviews on how well organized it was then compared to me going and seeing for myself. The clothes I looked through had all different sizes in the wrong areas, as well as the toys just kind of being thrown into the shelf. I understand kids may play with them like mine do while shopping, and the fact they may be short staffed I’m not sure. Over all It’s not a bad place, it just need some work and organization.

Im there constantly and get all my babys milestone toys at the best prices...and everything looks new. I live a distance away so sometimes Ill call beforehand to ask if they have a certain item and they will literally hold that item for you! (2 hrs usually) but still. I love this place. I wouldnt shop anywhere else for clothes and toys.

Been coming here for years love how clean and organized it always is.. With the new shorter hours been having trouble getting there in time but very grateful to Alex and Christina who helped me run in quick and find what I needed even though they were minutes from closing .. always super friendly staff and really can’t find anything but positive things to say about this place !

I’am absolutely BLOWN AWAY by this store! Who would have thought a children’s resell store could be so awesome ?! They just opened up the new location on US-1 and it is absolutely beautiful. The staff is so kind, everyone is wearing their masks and trying to keep each-other safe while having fun. The store is organized and clean, with so many options I don’t know if I will ever buy my children’s clothing anywhere else .

Their stuff is overpriced. I’ve seen the same pacifiers that are sold at dollar tree for $1 being sold here for $3. You can get the Carter’s and Target brand clothes for a cheaper price and new if you shop at those stores clearance racks. Once upon a child only has good deals if you go in for their end of season sale where they are 50% off. That brings their used clothes down to the prices they should’ve been in the first place.

I am pretty impressed with this once upon a child! Good sized space with a pretty decent collection for all ages except 2t. Wasn’t amazed at the shoes even though there are a lot of bins. Toy area is full but none of them turn on or work so I get nervous about that. Staff is mostly friendly.

Such a huge selection of items! The new store is bigger than the original so theres more room to move around. I like that the girls clothes goes up to size 16. My only issue is that some of the baby outfits seem a little expensive for second hand things.

I love this Once Upon a Child. It is always clean, organized and the staff is so knowledgable and helpful. My almost 2 year old grows out of everything so quickly I love having a place to shop that saves me so much money. I sell them her old stuff that doesnt fit and then turn around and buy her new stuff that fits, it works great for us. Especially that all the clothes are in like new condition. And I know I have sold them stuff my daughter didnt even get to wear or only wore once or twice. We are loyal customers. We always go for halloween costumes and holiday or special occasion dresses too!

The staff was friendly and helpful. The check out process was easy and a rewards program was explained to me for my future purchases. Jacie, a staff member actually carried my purchase to my van!Currently, the clothes racks are full including Christmas apparel and books.Look no further for great buys, good quality of used clothing and baby accessories.

A bit overpriced for items that are mostly dirty. Saw a bassinet that was white at one point, but was filthy, stained up, and not even close to being white anymore, cost $70. I would rather buy new!

Ive never really been one to publicly address negative experiences but I cant contain myself this morning. My wife and I waited in the parking lot for the store to open. We were excited to shop in the new location as it was our first time there since their move. The employees inside working, and those entering for work were all unmasked - before the store opened - which I am OK with; we live in a free country. Im also ok with people wearing masks because, again; we live in a free country...Once the store was opened, we walked in maskless just like everyone inside was before we entered. We were immediately told to put a mask on. Bewildered by the immediate apparent change of rules, I asked why it was mandatory at 930 am but not at 928 am? No one could answer. Then, someone who seemed like maybe the owner or some kind of management personnel looked at me, MASKLESS, and said, that was before we were openedI thought for a second someone was playing a joke...i was waiting for someone to point at the blinking light asking me to smile for the candid camera.I guess my reason for writing this post is to call out hypocrisy. Id also like to inform those who truely are concerned with the spread of this virus that this stores precautions seem fictitious and nothing more than an act.

I arrived at 3:45 check in. The staff informed me that they had 2 big bins ahead of me. I agreed to wait and at 4:50 walked in to complete my business. However my items were 1 large very organized laid out flat big kid clothes and another small bin of small toddler clothes. It would have taken maybe 20 minutes for two people to go through those two bins.

I brought in 100 dollars worth of toys bought directly from online still in box and never touched. They gave me 25.00. Very upset. This was the only way I was buying my kids Christmas presents. Never trading here again. Totally unrealistic. meet me half way.

There were 4 employees working behind the counter and several people in line. But only one of the 3 registers was open. It seems sorting hangers is more important than helping people.

As a grade school teacher I love the book section! Books for all leveled readers and interests. Just recently I was able to purchase enough self-esteem books to make a reflection corner in my classroom. The students love it. With the exceptional prices fitting my teacher salary, I am able to add seasonal books in my classroom as well.

Love the prices! Its a hit or miss with the staff. Like any place, some are great, and some are quite the opposite. It just takes a really long time for them to go through things, if your selling to them.

Great place to shop for resale baby items

Highway robbery. Loved buying clothes from there, but my recent selling experience is too disturbing not to share. They took full advantage of my mother and didn’t bat an eye. My mother brought in hundreds and hundreds of dollars of gently worn, nice clothing.. some with tags. In addition to the large garbage bags full of clothing, she handed them hundreds and hundreds of dollars of gently used toys. They gave her mere pocket change. You’re welcome for all of that profit you have just gained. I would have been much more comfortable giving them away to families and children on my own, for my soul’s satisfaction. I feel very taken advantage of for myself and my mother. I thought more of this place.

Usually pretty clean place to shop. Cashiers are always nice. They buy used baby stuff which is cool but they dont pay ya much.

Brought a bouncer in on Wednesday to sell, the associates lifted the seat out and said the rim on the bottom of the seat needed to be cleaned. She said to wash it and bring it back. I left with the seat detached, I didn’t even know that it came out of the bouncer. I washed everything down good and brought it back. The same girl who pulled the seat out said that they couldn’t take it because the snap on the seat was broken. She remembered who I was and told me she wasn’t sure why it wasn’t snapping back in since it did just the other day. They gave me back my bouncer that they broke, apologized and then tried to offer me a 10% off coupon to come back. So now I can’t sell my broken bouncer to anyone now, but not to worry because I can save 10% on my next purchase at once upon a child. Very annoyed.

I love this place they have nice brand name gently used clothing for a fair price. They had an amazing 90% off sale that we took full advantage of. They have a sale twice a year so keep your eyes peeled. As far as selling goes they dont offer much compared to what they charge for their items.

Nice and organized!! The isles are a little narrow but they have just about everything and anything you need. My daughter picked out this interactive toy. It works great and came with extras. Very clean! I am looking forward to my next trip their!

I live about 30 min away and when I do get a chance to come in I would expect to be treated with respect as most of the time I am. However, there is one female employee who is on a power trip and is nasty and rude every time She is here. I leave waiting for my quote wondering what I did wrong. But then I have to realize she must just be a miserable person not thankful for the job opportunity she has. It puts a bad taste in my mouth and makes me want to sell my items for now on to a consignment shop in Jupiter and since I have to travel either way I would rather travel to a place where I will not be greeted with a rude employee, instead happy that I am giving them my business. I know my items are good and normally that’s never an issue. But again when I come in is it to much to ask to be greeted with a smile and respect. I know you don’t make that much an hour but at least you have a job. I almost wanted to grab my stuff back and say never mind, but like I said I live about 30 min away and I didn’t want this to be a waste of my time. Very upset. Probably won’t come back after today. I wish I knew her name so that I could call every time and make sure she isn’t working before I come in.

Always have the cutest things!!!

I have been in this store several times, but have never made an actual purchase. They have a lot of items, but I feel like the ones I have been in looking for have been overpriced for the condition they are in. If I can find the same item for just a few dollars more new and have it shipped to my house, that is probably where I am going to buy it. I am not going to pay top dollar for the same item beat up and not even cleaned up for sale. If the condition were better, maybe. You might get a better deal on some of the items they have multiples of. I wasn’t able to actually look at them up close because they are up on top of the clothing racks. I’m 5’10” and I can’t reach them to get them down. After checking the pricing on the rest of the inventory, I really wasn’t even that motivated to look. I wish I had a different experience. The store itself was pretty clean and organized, but I think yesterday was probably my last visit. They may have what you are looking for so I would at least check them out if you haven’t. It just wasn’t good for me.

I have enjoyed coming into the store to find dresses for my girls at lower costs than retail stores. Staff is friendly and helpful.

My husband and 2 year old son went into Once Upon a Child this morning, to go look at toys while I was in line at a restaurant in the same plaza. My son picked out a toy bulldozer and then they headed towards the front counter to check out. He was not able to successfully purchase the toy since all of the 6 employees behind the counter simply ignored their presence. They were only focused on a lady that had brought items to sell. The store was not busy at all. My husband left the line (behind the lady I mentioned before) and put the toy back. And as he walked out of the store, he looked at what seemed to be the manager and said Okay looks like Im Invisible and they all stared at him and didnt say a word back. Its completely unacceptable to not acknowledge him as a customer. Yes it was only a $3 toy that my son picked out, but now youve turned me away as a customer...since I have shopped here before. Now you wont ever earn my business again. Worse thing about it all is that today is Fathers Day. Shows a lot on how much the employees care for fathers to shop here.

Got a decent amount back for the bunch of girls clothing I brought and I understand that not all items can be taken. Some of my items were in great condition (only worn once or not at all), but were not accepted due to being wrinkled. That is okay and not my complaint. The person who took my items was really rude and condescending and that part was definitely not appreciated. Definitely not a friendly face when I walked in the door to start with; however, the nice young lady that checked me out was very sweet and helpful.

Baby and childrens consignment store. Has nearly everything you would need for them. Due to sterility, used high chairs are not available here but I bet you will find nearly anything else! Convenient parking and many brand new items with tags still on them at excellent prices.

My son has had two boys and now having his precious baby girl this store has helped them through thick and thin when the second child was born knowing how expensive the first was now he can peacefully be happy with the third child with no headaches of expenses. Thank you once upon a child!

I have been in this store many times both buying and selling. I have always had a good experience, I purchased a pack n play that you can tell had never been used I got a great deal on it! I do think they can offer a little more when you sell to them but everyone needs to make money. Overall I have always had a good experience here!

Went in here looking for winter clothingfor my little cousin. Prices were pretty good but i would love to see more older age toys. Store was clean and organized.

For such a big store with so much stuff jam packed you would think they would have a variety of seasons. Went there to find a few onesies for my 9 month old in size 12 month and I found 3, everything else was long sleeve or 2 piece outfits. We did find decent Halloween costumes for my other kids but when we live in FL we need options all year of short sleeve clothing
