I had my eye exam and a new pair of designer glasses from this office. Their service was extremely nice and very caring. Unlike most big chain stores that they just rush you and take all your money. Dr.Tong was very patient and caring. She gave me a very detailed result and explained everything to me. Answered all my questions and concerns. They also have a really nice selection of top designer frames that you dont see anywhere. Top notch ! Highly recommended.

I got my eye exam and new glasses there. The staff was really nice. My doctor took the time and went over everything with me while I was there. I felt so good knowing all my concerns were addressed. Would return definitely. Great place for all your vision needs. Oh, their eye glasses selection was really nice.

Customer service not good. Hard to make appointment. Left our full info with receptionist twice. Both times in person at the store. Were told will check insurance and call back but never heard back. Two weeks later we called again to follow up and got appointment for next day. Every time at the store we kept asking about frame prices. We kept stressing out that low cost was important. Before making appointment we were told that there is a shelve with under $150 frames before insurance coverage. Receptionist kept telling us “there is a formula” to calculate final cost but only after eye exam is done and prescription given”. At the end, cheapest pair of glasses were $205 out of pocket after insurance. So, the cheapest pair of frames brand “OK” before insurance is $400. If we knew the cost before hand, we would have looked for another provider. Otherwise, no wait time at the office. Optometrist was intelligent, polite and professional.

Went for eye exam appointment on Friday 8/27 at 2PM. The optometrist did not issue the prescription after the exam and asked to wait till after the weekend. Weird, but okay. Now it’s Tuesday, 4 days after, and still no prescription and the place is not responding to phone calls or emails. This is just horrible customer service, do not recommend to anyoneUpdate from September 1: issued prescriptions without signature and missing details only after my wife went there IN PERSON and demanded one week later.This OD will be reported to the board of optometry and AOA. Do not recommend using this service for any purpose, this is an outright fraudulent place that I will ensure to get reported to authorities and hopefully closed.

I had my exam with Dr.Schwartz here! They were very nice and the office is very clean and quaint. The exam only took 35 minutes and I was seen right after I came into the store. Dr.S is very nice and even accommodated me when I wanted colored daily contact lenses. She made sure I was aware that I had slight astigmatism, but assured me that my eyes were healthy. I took a look at multiple glasses and Jon, the technician there was very patient and let me look at as many of them as I wanted.

Wonderful optician with wonderful prices on their lenses including coatings and transition. I have been a client for over 5 years and recommend visiting their locations.

Long wait times, even with apt. They did not speak to me one-on-one about what was happening with my vision. The space is small so it can be frustrating to complete a visual field test because they have you take it in the hallway, where there are other customers shopping and waiting for an appointment. My favorite frames were also broken while the lenses were being replaced. Turns out they are not replaceable even though I asked beforehand that they could replace the frames if they broke. They did offer $300 toward new frames but unfortunately they dont carry the ones I wear. So now Im stuck going to another place to get new frames AND paying out of pocket for lenses. They will not refund the cost of the lenses. Apparently there is a sign on the right of the door when one first walks in that says no returns. They could instead tell people their policy rather when making a purchase rather than posting a sign on the wall that people may likely miss. So Im out a $400 pair of really nice frames that I loved and $360 for lenses. Really sucks. Worst customer service experience Ive had in 18 years of buying frames and lenses.

Great place for all your eye care needs

Went here last year after moving to JC. Even with insurance I had to pay $800 out of pocket. The eye doctor also added a blue filter on the lens but neglected to tell me it would cast a green shadow on my face. They told me no problem and they can fix it whenever I have the time to come in. I tried to go a few times and the doctor wasn’t there. When I finally did go they called after to tell me it’s after the 30 day window to make changes so it would be extra $150. Terrible customer service and insane prices. Poorly run business.

Visited this center last winter and saw Dr. Tong. The main door was broken at the time and receptionist Josie was rude. Instead of fixing the door she was unapologetically expecting the patients close it in a certain way. Nothing to rave about Dr. Tong herself. Receptionist said she would email my prescription and receipt soon and when I did not receive it after few hours I had to personally go back to remind her not once but twice, once for the prescription and second time for the receipt. Tried calling their other center at Morristown but they were unable to reach them as well. Goes without saying I am never coming back to this office.So why am I writing this review now? Well, today I received an email from them saying It has been about a year since your last visit and we are open and ready to serve you. Thank you but no thank you.

Went for an eye exam last week as a new patient because I needed new glasses. Everyone was very courteous -- from reception up to the doc who saw me, Dr. Tong. Thanks!

On August 28, I visited ProVision Eyecare at 195 Newark Avenue for an eye exam after not having one for 4 years. The staff of Leo, Ayesha and Dr. Tao, the optometrist, was pleasant, helpful and efficient. I liked Dr. Tao’s demeanor and her knowledge; she tested my eyes thoroughly. The place is impeccably clean and the selection of eyeglasses is excellent. I will be back and I highly recommend it to others.
