A wonderful school for dance. Instructors are experienced in several types of formal dance, prices are the most affordable for low and medium income families. Children, Teens, and adults love the programs and choreography. This is an amazing place to learn dancing.

My daughter is currently teaching and taking classes at this studio and she absolutely loves it. Everyday she comes home after school excited to go take classes and she has not only improved her dance skills, but her confidence. It gives her something productive to do while allowing her to socialize and work on herself physically and mentally via the challenging, yet fun classes taught by encouraging and supportive, skilled teachers. The classes involve workout segments, followed by teaching and correction of technique and tricks and skills. Overall, great place and highly reccomend.

The Kennedy Dancers have served Jersey City more than 43 years. The New Jersey State Council on the Arts has awarded this non profit institution with multiple Citations for Excellence. (No other local Dance Studio can make that claim).Literally thousands of people have enjoyed learning movement and music through the years and the former Corner Bar (at Beacon and Central) has been transformed into a pleasant clean home to multiple studios for the arts.Not only is it a Dance Studio where Movement and Music are taught, it also houses a professional Dance Company (Who has performed at the White House and all around the East Coast) and an iInner City Dance Troupe comprised mostly of pre-teen and teenage students who are given scholarships to learn Dance and Choreography.Diane Dragone, the Director, is responsible for the enduring success of the Kennedy Dancers. Honestly not even one star they can get from me!!!! First off when I first went to sign my daughter the owner was giving me all the different options and schedules, prices ect. Then she literally just disappears and leaves me standing there for 30 min, it wasn’t until I told the other front lady I was waiting to register my daughter that they continued helping me. They didn’t have the correct size of uniform for my daughter, the classes don’t start on time Wich sucks cuz from 45 min of class it really comes down to only 30 min!!!! I just brought my daughter in today because I received an email stating it was picture day, which I had no CLUE about!!!! But I didn’t want her to miss out so I rushed out of work to bring her only to find out that picture day was with the costumes which had been ordered months before my daughter registered, which is fine I understand she registered late but they need to be consideret of being clear instead of sending general emails out to everyone. Now my daughter was crying because she felt uncomfortable and left out. All the owner said was “ well u can have her still take a picture u don’t have to buy, just so she doesn’t feel bad, but she can’t take a group picture.!!!!! And she had the nerves to give me an attitude. Very unprofessional and rude!!!! And it smells like cat and there’s hair everywhere yuck!!!!

Rude, unprofessional, hot tempered & the studio & property smells like cat urine. I live down the street & took my daughter to one class. The outside, the yard next door & the studio reeks of cat urine. The owners demeanor is offensive & rude. Not recommended!

Went once to inquire; I left with a poor impression of the place. It stinks of cat urine, and there is not enough ventilation; the director is completely unapproachable (condescending) and the staff follow lead.Not a place where I want my daughter, sorry
