Michael Hashbarger is an avid golfer and part time salesman who was exceptional to work with. We had been looking to do something different in regard to our vehicle situation. Essentially, we wanted to look at getting something that was an all-wheel-drive vehicle. We discovered that Wallace had a WRX on their lot, so we drove over to check it out. Michael came down to greet us and the rest is history. Quick test drive, a little haggling, and we were good to go! Additionally, we ended up trading them our Corolla sight on seen. That takes a little Faith on their part which we truly appreciate. I hope they were as happy with their side of the deal as we are with ours. Again, truly appreciate Michael’s demeanor and character. Well was good but car wouldn’t start #1 and #2 now need brakes and rotors got in May you would think that would been checked b4 sales.. seems as I still have a car I traded with the burdens I’ve got and paying a pmt for..

I purchased my second vehicle from here last fall. My sales rep, Travis W. found me the exact vehicle I wanted both times. (And got me the price I needed). The service department is great. Got a Subaru from their used lot about a month ago, now the car’s in the shop because the steering rack is dumping power steering fluid out, the rear rotors had deep grooves, and the right rear caliper was completely broken. When I told my salesperson about the leak, his response was “Are you sure? It wasn’t leaking on the lot.” I’m being charged $2,400 to fix it and I literally just got it. Love the car but disappointed that I’m having to pay out of pocket for all of this. I shouldn’t have to do this as soon as I am.

Replaced two wheel bearing hubs and did an alignment on my 2015 Forester. Just drove it home, and everything seems great. Thank you Wallace Subaru!

I cannot express how thankful I am for Brittany and Gerad at Subaru- I’ve come in multiple times for oil changes or car issues and they always go above and beyond to help me. Today Gerad was out and he is always my go-to guy, but Brittany stepped up and did a fantastic job. I live in Nashville now but always come back to JC when I can just to see these two.

They made a deal with me on a kia said they would give me 750. Cash and kia for my 2012 jeep .signed everything then had to pick up my check next day. They told me I had to trade even with no money given bk they really cheated me bad dont go here.

Don’t expect anything after the sale! I messaged and emailed and called multiple times after my trade it was not paid off. 10 days turned into 16 before it was finally done. Also RIGHT before I left with my new to me car, I was then told only one key. But I could order a new one for $300!!! Or for their price of $100. After seeing they listed my trade in $7,000 higher than they gave me for it, I think the very dang least they could’ve done was gotten me a second key. Do NOT expect ANY thing from this place after the sale is complete.

My wife and I bought a Subaru cross trek here and had a great experience. Had the best offer within 250 miles and 6-8 dealerships. Weve also been getting our other Subaru serviced here for a few years and the service department is great too. They also assisted us in getting the manufacturer discount that was available at that time, I have had other dealerships (non Subaru) not follow through on factory/manufacturer discounts in the past without having to badger them but they did it here without having to ask twice. Would recommend. Everyone is helpful prior to the sale but its the follow through after the sale that matters which they seem to do well at here.

Finally purchased my long awaited JEEP from Austin Reed last week and had a GREAT experience here. Austin is friendly, knowledgeable and fun to deal with. He made our purchase extremely pleasant and quick, answered any questions we had and took care of small details we had forgotten AND went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied in every way. I was expecting to get an itll do car. Just something cheep that would get me back and forth to work till I could do better. However, Glen helped me get a better car at a better deal than I could have hoped for. They were so very helpful getting me financed an on my way in a great car. I have and will recommend Glen and the crew anytime.

We were traveling through Tennessee when our check engine light came on along with other warning lights flashing. We were 20 minutes away from this dealership an HOUR before closing and we’re told that all the service technicians were wanting to leave early and they could not help us. We were only asking them to run a quick diagnostic, as suggested by the dealership where the car was purchased. As we were far from home and the weekend was approaching, we needed peace of mind about continuing to drive the car. When I asked if they could recommend any other options, the man on the phone told us he was not allowed to give out that kind of information! I was shocked at their total unwillingness to help travelers in need well before closing. This service department was so unhelpful and frankly quite rude. We called the Subaru dealership in nearby Kingsport and they gladly performed the diagnostic test which only took about 10 minutes! All was well and we were on our way before closing time. Thank you Courtesy Subaru for your willingness to serve us when we needed you!

Had a great experience there purchasing our Honda Odyssey. Ryan went above and beyond every step of the way, even after the sale was done. Jason really put in terrific work to get me the best rate for my loan. 2020 ended on a high note for our family due to their attention to detail and getting us into our new car. Worst service experience I’ve ever had in my life. 3 hour wait with no communication or update on what was happening. The guy who was servicing the vehicle left the dealership without communicating anything to me (or other staff). The guy who explained to me what services were performed had no idea what happened vs what did not happen. The #1 concern I made the appointment for was not addressed. Seems like things were just done just to “justify” an excessive labor cost. Cut corners and did sloppy work: Did not flush the transmission because they thought it was a waste of money, but did not give me, the customer paying for the service, the option to elect this service. Never going back here again and advising my friends to go elsewhere. Didn’t even wash the car.

Searched far and wide for a certain pre-owned car, found one here and purchased it. Glenn Landstrom helped me navigate my banks electronic purchase system and was fast, funny and good natured through it all. Overall it was an excellent buying experience because ALL of Wallaces staff had great attitudes!

Here is my honest review of my dealings with Wallace Subaru Johnson City. I had emailed them for a quote on a 7 Passenger Red Ascent Premium with Convenience package. They quoted me $34,399. I go in and the price is now $35,428. The reason is they tell me they can not find one for the price they quoted. I was very clear in my communication on what I wanted and they never said anything about there being a chance of not finding one. I also inquired about a hitch install. Quoted $599 over email. Get there and it is now $649. The salesperson who is awesome is not responsible for this... They were great. It is the decision maker they are talking to. I have bought a vehicle there before and had all my Subaru service done there. This is not a good business practice to say one thing via email and change when the customer arrives. I will update my review if something changes.

I recently purchased a used Subaru Outback from Glenn Landstrom. He was the perfect salesman- completely helpful and informative without being pushy. After my purchase, he gave me a thorough tutorial of how everything worked since it was my first Subaru.The day after my purchase there was an issue with the battery that had been mistakenly left unaddressed and he told me to bring it in and he would take care of it. Wallace Subaru has a great family feel to it, but it wouldn’t feel that way without Stan. I’ve bought all of my Subarus from Stan, and my family has as well. If I could give them 0 stars then I would, but Google isnt set up that way. We purchased a Subaru Forrester from Beau Hicks last year. By far, the experience with him was the best and we decided we would continue to purchase vehicles from him. That being said, how can this place fire a stellar employee during a pandemic and TWENTY days before Christmas???!!! All of this because he wanted to supplement his income during a difficult time for many. We will never purchase another vehicle from Wallace ever again! Got two outbacks from them over the years. Good experience there. At the time didn’t find one on the lot that I liked and was more than happy to place a order for one being built. Also have used their service dept. for various maintenance items, tires, transmission fluid change etc. and have been top notch in their service. Only thing I will mention I like looking at the tires that their putting on before they even start taking the wheels of the car or ask the person working on it how’s it looking? They can get really antsy about someone walking into the service area and people from the check in desk start showing up :) sir can you come with me what I just walked up and asked how my vehicles looking :)

I will never do business with this location. When anyone needed a car and was interested in Subaru I would always direct them to Beau Hicks. His customer service was like none other. My daughter planned to purchase a Subaru there and that will not occur either. To hear of how Beau was treated by the GM there was disguising. Beau has been a HUGE part of Wallace. I know for a while this dealership will suffer financially but I hope most of all the GM has many sleepless nights after treating someone this way!

Truly the best car buying experience I’ve ever had! The salesman, Blake Boggs, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and went over and beyond with helping me purchase my Subaru. I was extremely impressed with the business finance person as well who went over my finance agreement and it truly felt he was talking to me like I was one of his own family members (making sure I understood all the finance details and interest stuff etc). Wallace VW in Johnson City is awesome! I have worked with Glenn Landstrum since 2011. I would bring my VW from out of state for service back here as no other VW could match their quality and customer service. I have leased and bought three different times with Glenn.
