Good thrift store with good prices! Everyone who works up front has been really nice. The people who Ive run into in the back have been a little on the rude side. I do wish they would offer receipts for donates though!! The store could use a little more straightening but they seem to be working on it. It has gotten better since the first time I went in. But they keep rearranging everything as well. Which makes it hard to find things. When I went in today the childrens section seemed to be totally gone. That was a big part of my shopping there so I hope theyll add it back soon!!
Was there today and was not impressed. No mens clothing. Tried to way over charge me for a used blu ray player. Said they wanted $40 for it. Ridiculous. I dont think I will be back. 9/8/2021. They are more about the money than the community thats on fixed incomes.
Had a bad experience. We selected a back pack in a pile of junk. Go to the front found out it was not for sale. Not sure why they let employees leave their stuff in and around the things that are for sale. Also the doors and openings are not marked well. We go yelled at for going out the wrong door? Manners would have been appreciated from the guy in the red hate today. He got into a verbal altercation with my dad infront of many customers. Put about $40 worth of stuff down and walked out. Wont be back.
Decent prices, great collection of dvds my husband was happy to find quiet a few hes been wanting to get, staff was super friendly my almost 2 year old was super happy when a staff gave her a lollipop, only reason it not 5 star was it was a little hard to look around with the layout if got a better set up organization wise it be my new favorite thrift shop.
Beautiful place for jewelry and awesome staff. A must go to for that one of a kind piece of custom jewelry
It is not organized so it is hard to find things but the lady at the counter was wonderful and very helpful.
I throughly enjoyed this place!! I bought several high dollar items for nearly nothing. And the lady at the cash register was so nice!!
All pricing is done at the register- subjectively in the head of the employee. Completely unfair. We will not be back. We have been scalped twice now for DONATED goods. 65 the first trip- 48 this time. We put a CARDBOARD HAT BOX back and got our total down to 38. Unreal. We are completely willing and definitely WOULD spend major bucks in there, but not 48 dollars for 8 items. Tell your little employee to look only at the items, not the buyers. We were totally judged. He was also completely unfriendly with us. Your loss- we are excellent repeat customers.
Very nice items for sale and reasonably priced help the church out
The guy that runs the place and thinks he owns it is rude. There prices are ridiculous. And Christian, ya okay needed a bedframe. Im a veteran on veterans day I explained situation and he still wouldnt budge on 25 for something I can get new for 40. I wouldnt donate clothes to them. Their the type that would sell them to the government, for rags used in the military. I would know Ive used them. PLEASE SPEND AT ANOTHER CARING CHARITY.
Tough to know what to pay when the rude cashier makes his mind up whenever you’re there for what stuff costs. Also signs say masks required but not for employees including the cashier guy. No wonder I don’t go by there often
Over crowded, cashier was rude to children, talked to another person she knew the whole time instead of focusing on our purchase. Employees swearing very loudly when a truck arrived, several of the employees staying it wasnt their job to unload just sort items. Pizza arrived and all employees stopped to get pizza, without washing hands before or after eating or handling money. Should probably change the name of their store, clearly not a Haven of Mercy.
My favorite thrift store of all time. Awesome, friendly, amazing staff. Awesome prices. The men are awesome and they help load up your furniture. I have furnished a lot of my home through this place, and purchased many many dishes there, this place is a true blessing.
Nasty place, nasty people! Went yesterday and old hag at register was Rude! Very nasty and rude. Told her how I felt about it to. Overpriced and terrible service
Place is packed... Lots of glasswares... Frames of all sizes. Some appliances..price signs are around. Were happy with what we paid for what we got.
A very nice store, the people are very friendly and helpful and they will do all they can to help you
Good place to shop has good prices and a lot of different stuff
Lots of things to look at hard to get better half out of the place.
Tried to donate some nice clothing at 12:56 pm. The man at the door says they arent taking donations until 1:00pm and closes the door in our face? Super rude and unprofessional employees. We waited the 4 minutes, dropped the bag and left. Ill donate somewhere else from now on 🤷
A great spot to buy items that are three times the price elsewhere, Sure many items are used but used doesnt mean trash!Prices are competitive with other thrift stores in the area. Some reviewers are complaining about the items being donated why are they priced at all....??A purchase here funds TWO separate houses for homeless men and women, the funds also pay for utilities at those houses as well as fuel and insurance for the few vehicles the Ministry owns. These vehicles are used to transport residents to a job or medical appointments as well as delivering meals to shut ins.The funds are also used to help the general public with rent assistance or medical bills or food or clothing..The Ministry does not own a private jet and the pastor drives a 14 year old vehicle!!The haven is a blessing to this area, without the haven there would be many many more folks hurting and homeless.
Super nice I just got a desk for 40$ well 43$ with tax they put it in the back of the car
Great store on weekends
No price tags and dim lighting but overall a well stocked thrift store. Not so great parking but always friendly staff. Great Cause being supported by your purchases and a great place to donate your unwanted goods.
Love this place! Friendly staff and a good place to thrift.
We as a society in Johnson city need to learn not to give to such places like this one. They do charge way to much for the items that have been donated. I do understand theres overhead cost but seeing as they are set up outside now theres no light bill and i also know that most of their workers are the people staying at their Haven of Mercy houses which they pay little to nothing because they stay at the house. At one point this was a great place to go to get second hand stuff but whoever is over it now has made significant changes. With having as much as they have you would think they would do better on prices. If your looking for a thrift store i suggest Shes Thrifty on Main St in front of Keystone or Gods Corner on Watauga below Tyler Apts for me these places are true thrift stores and lets start donating to these stores that are more appreciating of our donations.
I went here about 3 weeks ago found some DVDs of tv shows & walked away cause of a phone call so my husband paid. Later he told me it was $1 per disc of the season in the dvd sleeves BUT the season of tv shows in a CASE was still $1. Meaning one season of the show had 6 disc in the sleeves so it was $6.... BUT season 2 was in the actual case with 5 disc & it was a $1. You would think EACH season regardless of how many disc are in the sleeves would still be a $1 like it is with the cases. To me that is a rip off for a thrift store. And I go to all the thrift stores & never have I seen pricing like that. This stores prices are really good priced for the most part. But if youre going to sell a season of a tv show for $1 a case then that needs to be done for the seasons of tv shows in the sleeves also.
Leaving zero service had a handfulof items workers walking around saying they worked there waited 5 minutes at the register no one came no one said anything to me terrible service smelled awful messy DoNot shop there
Doesnt even deserve one star. The store is filthy. Most of the items for sale are filthy as well. Smells bad, especially in winter. The kerosene smell from the portable heaters stick on your clothing and hair. And the guy who was working is one of the rudest, most miserable human beings Ive ever met. Went into twice, never again!!
Not too impressed.
Thank you for all the great deals!!
Very rude woman and man that run it. Prices are retail very dusty and not good deals. Needs to be revamped and run by capable people
They have a ton of stuff but its very unorganized, need to separate mens from womens.
Its okay depending on what youre looking for. Not much of a selection of clothing though.
I found it convenient and inexpensive. Staff polite and helpful. Will be coming back. Soon!!
Wow extremely high priced.. guy giving me prices not friendly at all.. use to like it when it was in building but now since they moved outside in containers the prices have tripled.. dont think I will ever be back..
Items aren’t priced. It almost seems like the price is based on how you look. Prices higher than others when you find out the price. The guy who runs it can be rude and obnoxious. Maybe that’s why other stores are busier than there.
Been there a couple times looking for a replacement remote or other odd things. The management seems nice and prices are low, just wish items were tagged as I dislike having to ask for pricing.
Very helpful and kind people here.
Very friendly ppl & fair prices, but only one casher & no floor help,so had to stand in long line to ask price( because nothing had prices on it) & then restand in love need to pay.
If you have them pick up a donation be prepared for them to be jerks and try to guilt your kids into giving them things that is not intended to donate. Commented on things that they were going to keep for themselves. They played with the toys and tried on some of the clothes after they told my wife it was their last stop and she needed to hurry. Ungrateful and ridiculous.
Yes i visited there lil high on things for ppl on fixed income..i to wished they would price their items caz wen ppl shop they could figure out how much they can spend b4 they get to register. It takes to much time to run up & ask every price on each item..i dt have that kinda time.
Neater and more organized than in the past. I wish they would have prices on the furniture, though.
Very nice people, wonderful mission, and the merchandise is always changing!
Good deals pretty cool stuff nice people

I had went their to get a table that was donated to them. But when i asked how much, these replied 300.... They have the same nook table brand new at Kmart for 300...what a rip off
