Went there for a little bite for lunch. Friendly and cozy, had the Greek Lasagna. It was great and tasty. The hosts are so friendly and kind. Worth checking them out.

I went here today and the place looks clean and new I always wanted to come here I got a nutella iced coffee, a pumpkin cheesecake and a pumpkin spice latte for a friend, it was SO yummy totally recommend!!!😊👍👍

Excellent coffee and service, was there a few weeks ago. This is the Lox Bagel, Smoked Salmon, Spinach, Onions,Tomatoe,Cucumber, Capers with Sour Cream. Got a Salted Carmel Moocha coffee. Everyone was very nice.

I topically dont write reviews yet this place n the lady is very special and caring. This morning I enjoyed the best caramel latte in the world. Truly enjoy this coffee shop. Great atmosphere/decor and always-friendly employees. Their food is phenomenal, which was unexpected for me originally as I thought it was just coffee house. But no - they make delicious sandwiches and soups with fresh ingredients, and at a great price considering the quality. I am never disappointed anytime I go here! :)

Absolutely beautiful place! You dont see places with an atmosphere quite like this nowadays. As I waited in line the owner called everyone by name and had a close relationship with the customers. The food and drinks were out of this world, crispiest bagel Ive ever eaten. 10/10 I recommend this place highly.

It is seemingly their mission to car and tend to their customers, and the new customers are greeted just as kindly as the regulars. It is so important to me to find a place that serves astounding coffee but also has admirable customer service and Jitters is just that! My daughter has visited a few days before and raved so much I wanted to go back with her. Jitters served a tasty iced coffee and breakfast sandwich, the price was right, the place was tastefully decorated and clean, the owner rang me up and was welcoming and kind, and we sat outside and enjoyed our morning. What else could you ask for? Id support family-owned and run for 17 years Jitters over a corporation any day!

After walking on a freezing Day my Husband and I popped in. It was like walking into your Sisters house. Cozy and very friendly staff. And the coffee is amazing ! Ill be back to try some of the delicious looking food items also available !

Staff is very friendly, will remember you if you come back, and keep the lunch line moving. I cant recommend this place enough, especially for out of towners. The breakfast sandwichs are real good. The French toast sandwichs are good. With the moring syrup. The coffee sur do be Striaght to, with refills.The coffee with no suger. Was right. It balenced my suger intake. The bacon mcmiffin didnt have any any maple syrup. Since I didnt order that. The muffin blueberries were soft. A try, an advertising in taste. Sample. A little kid havnt learn to eat by anyone anyway. Like the place. I learned that eggs carry protein. For the humen body.

This is an updated review. I have now come to the establishment several times and am in love. While I am disappointed that they have no weekend hours, as I live right around the corner, this is definitely the kind of place I make excuses in my budget for. They have sandwiches, soups, bagels, various cheesecakes available along with your typical delicious coffee shop fare. Just past the counter is a lounge complete with sofas, a chaise lounge, super chill tunes, art and fine rugs hung everywhere. An extremely warm and hip environment. I wish there were more places like this is Downtown Joliet.

Great independant coffee shop, in a historic building in downtown joliet. Right along classic route 66, good stop for caggine fix or a sandwich.I would skip the cinamon rolls. The late was great and average priced. The bathroom is even vintage with the most solid sink i have seen in years.

Update Aug 2021: Sadly I have to change my review. Upon forgetting my work lunch, I decided to walk to Jitters and order a sandwich like I used to do only to be told they dont have a lunch menu anymore. They have some pastry items and very small assortment of random sandwiches in their case. Im so disappointed that I have to find somewhere else to eat around here. Downtown is kind of a food dead zone and they took away one of the only places you could get a decent sandwich or wrap.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I work in walking distance of this place and they are miles ahead of any chain coffee place. THEY HAVE OAT MILK!! I cant have regular milk or almond milk, and asked for soy. They told me they didnt have soy milk but they had oat. I was beyond thrilled! I ordered the most delicious oat milk chair latte ever! 100% recommend Jitters to anyone who passes through downtown looking for places to go.

It also was HUGE, especially for the modest price. You get chips with it as well. We both ordered this!We also were lucky enough to get the brownie and the homemade banana bread that was to DIE for!I got unsweet tea, which I should have asked how it was made or what kind it was because it ALSO was delicious.I cant wait to have the opportunity to come back here! Sadly, it closes after lunch but it just means I will arrange my schedule to get there early!

What a hidden gem! Went in for the first time a few weeks ago and loved it. Customer service was so friendly and welcoming. I had a caramel cider and it was delicious! The atmosphere is so cozy, it honestly reminded me of something you’d see in a show or movie.

We were in town for a work conference and were unable to get good coffee at the hotel. One of my co-workers spotted this coffee house on her morning run and suggested that we try it out... What a fantastic discovery! The service was great and the coffee was absolutely delicious! We even had people with us from Italy and they commented on how good the espresso was and looked forward to their morning drinks. The options for breakfast were great! Everyone loved the breakfast sandwiches and the pastries. We will definitely make this a regular place each morning when we are in town for work!

I have to admit that when I saw how little stars this amazing coffee shop had, I was floored. It looks like most of it has to do with an elder lady that works (or worked) at this place. I have never met her in the 3-5 times I have been there, so I dont think she works the counter anymore, but I am not sure. So no need to worry about the service, it is beyond WONDERFUL now.I am TOTALLY in LOVE with this place. Not only is their coffee AMAZING (MUCH better then anything at Starbucks) but they are reasonably priced, their food is amazingly good, the atmosphere is the most relaxing EVER. You can curl up with a good book while drinking their amazing coffee and enjoying their great good. Last but not least, is the owner. She is the sweetest women; we have come before when she had just closed, but she opened the doors anyways and made us coffee to go and allowed us to sit outside and enjoy ourselves. Also, I was leaving before after finishing about 1/2 my favorite drink (chilled Salted Carmel Latte, talk about YUM) and while dealing with a 3 yr old, his bad, my purse and book, I dropped the drink. I felt bad for making a mess and loved that drink so much I was going to purchase another one, but she instantly told me not to worry about the mess and that she would make me a new one. I could not believe it. She is WONDERFUL! You HAVE to visit this place...

Stopped here for lunch on Predidents Day because every other restaurant downtown was closed. Good thing too because now I know where to get the best coffee, homemade soup, sandwiches, salads and pastries. Nice atmosphere and run by a mother and her daughter. We will be back.

Ive been coming to this place for years. When I lived in Joliet this was a prime spot to meet the girls for tea and coffee. They have a nice area in the back where they play classical music and couches to lounge in while your catching up on work, school or just visiting friends. They also have free WIFI.

I came with my friend and had a great breakfast. Love the set up. The staff is friendly.I will definitely recommend.

Jitters has a great selection of drinks and food with a really cozy atmosphere. I love the spinach & feta croissant breakfast sandwich! For someone who doesnt live close, I wish they had some weekend hours.

I really enjoy this place. It is one of the most comfortable coffee shops Ive been to and the atmosphere is perfect for reading & working. I always go in the morning, so Ive never experienced the owner. But Gina, works in the am, is super helpful. She even remembers my drink.

I cant even begin to express how delighted I am that I found this small hidden gem! Great staff! Everyrhing that we tasted was off the charts! My 2 kids wife and I tasted a Veggie Delight with added Chicken Breast and a cup of Iced Mocha. I had an Italian sandwich and a Latin Hot Chocolate! This is a small local family-run establishment. Fast and friendly service. They have a full service coffee bar and they serve some breakfast and lunch items as well. Prices and overall product quality are better than Starbucks. Its ambience is that of a traditional coffee house. Located in Joliets downtown almost right across from the library. If they had another location on the West side, I could see it being very successful. I only give four stars instead of five because they close around 3pm every day--wish they were opened later maybe until like 9 daily and later when there are shows at the Rialto.

The drinks and food are amazing and for those of you that have bad experience from years ago your in luck! The staff is under new management except for the cook (but the cook is a very nice). It has changed through out years! I very highly suggest this place!

Im a huge fan of Jitters. I probably stop by there about once a week or at least once every other week. The flavored coffee drinks are fantastic. The food is great, too, and the portions are extremely generous.

I dont know why everyone else on here is so upset about the woman. I know exactly who they are talking about and she is the owner. She isnt the most humerious & quick person ever, but she is perfectly professional & runs the place well. This is a great coffee hangout with a ton of personality & delicious drinks and food.

Mufaletta, just get that. Great sandwich. Better if you take it to go abd let it set for about 20 minutes so the inside warms up a bit but even fresh its still great. Unpleasant older lady who used to work at the counter hasnt been around lately.

Love this place, you should go here. Jitters is truly family owned and operated and it shows. Great coffee and food. For breakfast highly recommend the bacon egg and cheese on english muffin or croissant. For lunch try the Mad sandwich, were talking chicken, bacon, avocado, fancy toasted bread, and finished with a sriracha aioli. The portions are huge and the price is right. Lots of seating including couches and high tops. Keep up the good work Jitters, you guys rock!

Nice friendly place with pleasant staff. Very clean and cosy, have gender-neutral bathroom which is also nice and gives you a home-feel. Coffee is good and the cost is reasonable. They also have a wide choice for a coffee-shop of tasty pastry and sirups. Perfect place to spend a lot of time with friends or collegues to relax, talk and have fun. Would recommend it also if you have to kill a few hours before a train as it is close to the station.

Good food. Decent prices. Calm quiet atmosphere. I’ve sat down to eat here twice and the only critique I have is that it could be more organized during peak hours. I came in during the last leg of rush hour and they seemed kinda frazzled. Don’t expect for them to wait on you hand and foot, it’s an Internet cafe, not five star dining, the staff is pretty friendly nonetheless. They give u a lot of food for the money, it’s worth it. I loooove the smoothies. I’m sorry some ppl have had a bad experience, but overall I think it’s worth checking out .
