I brought in my daughter to have more than a foot of hair cut and bangs and a new style. She had never been in a salon before. Amanda was amazing with her. She took the time to talk with my daughter and make her feel comfortable. She made sure to know what my daughter wanted for her hair. She talked with her about styling her hair and really just went above and beyond to make sure she would go home happy. Thank you for a positive experience.

Went in yesterday while I was having a tough day and overall under a lot of stress, but when i asked the front cashier, Vicky, for some help her kindness really lifted me up! Every time I visit Ulta the staff is friendly but no one tops my girl Vicky! She really went above and beyond to help me find a fragrance that was similar to my fave, Glossier’s You perfume and was so so incredibly kind!!! She is super patient and sweet and you can tell she genuinely wants others to enjoy their shopping experience, which is all I could ask for when it comes to customer service!!! Vicky if you’re reading this, you deserve the world queen, your kindness makes an immense impact on the lives of others and it is appreciated big time, thank you.

I’m a Makeup artist and shop at Ulta frequently. Today’s visit honestly has to be one of the worst shopping experiences I have ever had. If you’re a person of color steer clear of the associate by the name of Bobby. As she was very basis and rude during my visit would not recommend.

Staff is friendly and they have a good variety of items in multiple categories. I wish the store was bigger though. They have try me items but its awkward to spend time trying things when the isles are so tight; other people cant get through without excusing themselves so often I dont spend as much time as Id like picking things out, which is not a great business strategy.

Unprofessional. Since walk-ins are not available, I made an appointment. Took the day off work (to fit their schedule), and they called and canceled an hour and a half before my appointment. They wanted me to take another day off work to fit into their schedule again. I will go elsewhere. Really disappointed in the lack of service.

I ONLY am giving 1 star because I am highly upset with the salon and need to get the attention of the store. The low star rating is solely for the salon. absolutely love makeup and facial care products. I Made an appointment 2 weeks ago online to turn my hair blonde and cut. I then called to inform the stylists how long my hair is, how thick it is and how dark it is. They quoted me up to 180.00 and 3 1/2 hours. No one advised me it would be best to come for online consultation. When I got here, stylist told me she could not get it blonde or do it in 3 1/2 hours. It would take up to 5 hours and $300-400 money and time are not the problem today. Inconvenience is because I made arrangements with work two weeks ago and no one told me with my hair description to come in for consultation first. Im a platinum member and made an appointment me here solely for my Ulta beauty points. To say I am disappointed in the salon is an absolute understatement.

Went in fifteen minutes before they closed and asked to get assistance. This young lady was so helpful and made my experience a breeze. I highly recommend this Ulta. Loved how welcomed I felt when walking in. They greeted me and let me know about their current promotions. The store layout was definitely on point. Clean and well stocked store. Couldn’t be any happier when shopping for my favorite make up and hair products.

Placed an order beginning of November. They created a shipping label and took my money. It still hasnt been picked up. I called and got a guy in the Phillippines who gave me a generic answer about shipping delays and refusing to cancel my order. I asked for rep in the US. Same generic response. There are tons of complaints for the same issue all over the internet. They stole peoples Chritmas money during some of the hardest times we have ever seen. Frauds should be treated as frauds. I flagged the transaction with my bank. Good luck Ulta, I will never shop with you again.

I totally loved coming to get my hair cut and blow dried here. I was new to this location and Lidania made me feel right at home and came out feeling lile a new person. After getting my hair over processed some time back i hated to see it tangled and dry. But she even offered me treatment which i took. She also took her time to advice me on proper hair care and recommend products which i came out with one lol... Sure will be back. Its employees like this who make you want to come back!

She is extremely creative and also easy to talk to! Dont be afraid to compare what you want to some strange ideas, she will understand you and do her very best to give you exactly what you want, or explain in beautiful detail why it wont work, or what process you will have to go through to get what you desire. Shes not gonna jerk you around and promise you magic if she cant actually do it. But I promise youll be amazed at what she can do. In all the years Megan has done my hair, I have always been impressed by her wizarding skills.

They didnt have what i needed

The staff were very friendly and helpful, answering my questions and confirming prices on the Real Techniques brushes. I wanted 2 serums by Ordinary which they didnt stock at the Joliet location. The sales clerk was extremely helpful and quickly processed an online order with free delivery.

The one manager with curly red hair is awful. Not personable, talks to her employees rudely even when they’re trying to help. 3 stars for the store cleanliness. Find happier managers and you’ll see better reviews.

This is a womans dream store. They had things in they that I only thought about while Id slept. You owe it to yourself as a woman to at least go see what they offer, because Im telling you they have everything a woman ever would need for the rest of her life.

Great place for supplies. Good service BUT if they are offering any promotions with the purchase of anything DO NOT EXPECT TO RECEIVE IT! Every time I go to buy something and they are offering a freebie they are out. Never in 3yrs have I received my birthday present because they were always out of that as well, mascara, really, wont even give a comparison item in place! I still shop here because I do get to purchase I need to.

I gave this Ulta 5 stars because at the time of the day I went it was a great experience. The store was really clean and organized, the employees were really friendly and helpful. This a new Ulta store so that might have alot to do with it.

Ive always had a pleasant shopping experience at this location. They have a good selection of drugstore and higher end makeup. Yes, their drugstore prices are a bit more than what youd see at a store like Wal-Mart, but they have great sales and theres always a $3.50 off $15 purchase. Keep an eye on your emails for opportunities to earn more points as well. The time before last that I went, I had a coupon for a free gift with purchase. They were out of that specific item but gave me a different one they had in stock in its place.

First ever experience at an Ulta store. Could of used some assistance finding what I needed. All of the associates where busy with one customer. I am not sure if I will go back to this location. But I did like the selection just a tad overwhelming when you are new to makeup

The colors we wanted for our hair were not the ones we got in the end. I wanted to go for an ashy/gold blonde and came out not looking much different. My hair had previously been red but I lightened my hair about 2 months ago and have been using a toner ever since, so the red was almost completely faded. My mom and I were unsatisfied with the work and I cant believe I wasted most of my money on that. There should be more professional hair stylists and not people who just came out of beauty school. My hair shouldnt be experimented on when Im spending so much money on it.

Most the girls act like theyre too good to help people. I worked there..minimum wage gals! How about trying to help a mother or a housewife? I give 3 stars for the makeup. Go to Sephora instead.

I love going to Ultra. The staff are so helpful and friendly. I am older and they have a great deal of patience with my inexperienced mind. Im not good with makeup and am afraid it would look like a cheap clown !!

JUST GO TO SEPHORA. Greeted @ initial display by nice employee who informed me Kylie lip kits 20% off. Decided to get 2 on that basis. Another employee was vague about which products qualified for a free notebook and pen set (spend $16.50 ....on what?). She indicated any Ulta brand products on the side wall with her hand pointed at the side but said “on the back wall”, which was confusing. There were no Ulta products on the side wall or the back wall though I looked from a distance at back wall (didn’t need a hairdryer). So I go to register with lip kits and about $90 of purchase. Stood in line for a very long while, and saw mountain of makeup filled boxes at register cash-wrap while I was waiting. Asked about the boxes, and the side by side checkout employees said they were $14.99. I picked out one and added it to my sale, told my Mother to get herself one, too, and then it rang up at $29.00, not $14.99. I was told, oops, that sale is uhm, over by cashier who heard the other two cashiers implore me to buy one at $14.99. Then, I asked why the lip kits were not coming up 20% off. The clerk called manager, Becky, (not Becky with the good hair- she had 🤡 colored red hair), who angrily informed me that the sale was over on the Kylie. It ended in the 20 minutes I was in the store? No, it was over yesterday, I was told angrily by Bright Red Hair Becky. I said well, I was told it was on when I walked in, the check-out person thought it was still valid when I told her about making sure I got my 20% off,, so I think you should give me the 20% off. Instead of answering, Becky demanded to know who told me it was 20% off on lip kits (as if I lied...and if she found out it was honest, she’d give the discount). Instead, apparently, Becky just wanted to ream out whoever spoke to me (including the poor girl I said didn’t tell me who was standing nearest the door as this transpired). I waited another 10 minutes for this nonsense and ended up skipping all the promo stuff that wasn’t on sale, but I felt very cheated of the time wasted in that crowded store because they either didn’t know the deals or things changed after I walked in. Either way, worst customer service I’ve seen. One counter girl watching me complain said, “Why don’t you just go to Sephora?” Indeed. So, I’m recommending everyone take her advice and go to Sephora. Maybe they care about selling us things more than this weird Ulta dominated by a someone clearly unqualified to lead, manage, and assist the public properly.

Had my hair done by Lauren and I love it! Lauren was very easy to talk to and did my hair exactly the way I wanted it! I had my hair lightened, highlighted, and dyed, and every step of the way she would make sure I was comfortable with how everything was looking/going. She took her time and it did not feel rushed, which I can certainly appreciate. She listened to my hair concerns and advised accordingly. She really went above and beyond for me that day. I STRONGLY recommend going to Lauren for any hair needs! ❤️

I will not return to this location! Employees are rude, they all hang out by the register, dont offer any help, or acknowledge that youre in the store. They try to get you to buy too many additional items when you get to the register. I had a gift card for $50 and I only spent $10 and the lady tried keeping my gift card, I had to tell her that I wanted my card back. This is the second time this location has tried to do that. Absolutely horrible experience, I tend to usually try to avoid this location I just didnt feel like driving an extra half an hour to the next one.

Wouldn’t recommend this place if you need any help with selecting make up. Went in there really excited and needing help becuase I do not know much about make up and have recently started experimenting with different products. After finally finding an associate every question I asked her she responded with I don’t really know. Then she asks if I need anything else(even though she was completely unhelpful) and walked away. I stood there for a good 10 minutes trying to figure out what I needed by myself and eventually gave up and left feeling very disappointetd.

Recently had a make-up consultation and the Lancome beauty specialist who assisted me was fabulous. The store carries several high-end brands at high-end prices. There are some cheaper brands available and you can off-set prices by using coupons from Retail-Me-Not.

My favorite store. Always lovely. Clean. A bit smaller of an Ulta. Not as much selection in the drug store side as the Naperville location due to being a smaller store. So keep that in mind if you are looking to buy something from E.L.F. or Morphe. You may want to eitger go to Bolingbrook or the Naperville location for that. As they are limited to the selection and limited to being able to provide testers of eye shadows to swatch. That only seems to be an issue for the drugstore side of the store. Aside from that, most of the time I get great service there and most of the employees are really nice.

Have went to this Ulta a few times and only once can I say I had an amazing experience. ..the floor staff is good but the cashiers leave a lot to be desired. ..especially the management...its Not impressive to be micro agressive. Or ..passive agressive...Make your dollars count!!

I went yesterday with my husband and my son and NOT ONE EMPLOYEE asked if I needed help. AND I DID NEED HELP BECAUSE IT WAS MY FIRST TIME IN AN ULTA SO I HAD NO IDEA WHERE ANYTHING WAS. I must have went around that store around 6 times browsing what they had and then actually looking for what i wanted. We were in that store for over an hour. The only time someone said anything to me was when I was checking out. Pitiful. My first and last time here.

Well organized but not well stocked. Perhaps short staff, needed assistance and had to wait, same for check out. There always seems to be more than 10 minute wait.

Associates are usually nice and helpful, but overall this Ulta is just average and they dont carry many of the brands on the website that are not necessarily online only. Not a very big selection.

Overpriced, you get better prices from Amazon prime. I can get my perfume etc for 1/2 the price...as well as my flat irons and hair dryers etc. Even with a coupon they are still overpriced and they wont price match!
