Clean store, nice layout. Prices were better than expected.. The person working was very friendly and knowledgeable. He helped me look up some Radiohead albums that are hard to find. Will definitely be back.

Good store! I go for the vinyl which is mostly used with a small selection of new releases. I can usually find good deals on good condition, bit off of the radar titles. Good staff and new discount program

Full disclosure: Joe, the owner, is one of my very best friends. I think that gives me some special insight into how he runs his shop, and I know for certain he’s extremely talented and passionate about teaching the gift of music.It’s evident in the quality of instructors he hires and the progress (and success) of the students. Just check out their social media pages, where you’ll see some spectular young musicians learning their craft. And, it needs to be said, having fun while doing it.That there’s a very good record store IN THE STUDIO indeed makes this place one of the coolest places around. A local gem that deserves our support!

This is the greatest place in Illinois, and dare I say, the solar system for all things music. The Vinly selection is awesome and if they don’t have something you think you want they will get it for you. If they are unable to get it it wasn’t even worth listening to to begin with. Need lessons? J&B has got covered with the best staff of music professionals around.

Instructors are talented musicians, great with kids, organized, affordable and convenient. My children have been students at J & B for 8 years. Weve taken piano, guitar and voice. Friendliest staff around! Cant wait to see their new location.

My son has taken piano lessons from Joe for the last three years and I wouldn’t take him anywhere else! He has learned so much about reading music and Joe’s style of teaching is a perfect match for him. During the lesson I love to look through their amazing record selection too. We love J&B music!

My son started taking guitar lessons in January and he has learned so much in such a short time. My son looks forward to lessons and is motivated to practice at hom. His teacher Brian is a great teacher! He gives my son music that he likes and he was flexible with moving lessons around while my son played baseball. Teachers like Brian encourage and inspire young musicians!

Wonderful music studio for children and adults of all ages! Also, has an awesome record store with a wide variety of vinyl. Cool place worth visiting!

I was recommended by a friend to have my son take drum lessons from BJ at this studio. For 4 years he’s taken drum lessons and we’ve been more than happy with everything. The owners, teachers, and people behind the desk truly care about the students and parents. My son has really connected with BJ and has learned so much. I would highly recommend BJ to anyone that wants to take drum or piano lessons.
