Unfortunately I can not recommend them since the wood I received was extremely molded. The people there were nice and I was able to return my order and receive a refund, thats why Im giving them 2* instead of 1*.What really bothered me was that when I called and told them about the mold my concerns werent addressed properly. I was told its just a little mildew and completely normal. I have to agree that a little mildew would be normal but it was really bad, every board had mold on it. Im disappointed that my project now got delayed and that they had no empathy for my concerns with the wood.The delivery driver was very friendly and I felt bad for him having to make two trips. The delivery was prompt and in time. If the wood would not have been molded the price would have been fair. Im happy they agreed to a full refund right away.

Was in a time crunch for steel doors and was told they could get them in a week or so despite other lumber yards claiming to take 3-5 weeks. Sam Short was fantastic to work with and helped me get exactly what I needed ordered very quickly! He even helped me find an odd handle that was not a normal option without making me feel like I was an inconvenience. Being a woman I don’t always get the greatest service at lumber yards and other places but Sam was nothing but helpful and kind! Highly recommended and will definitely continue to do service here in the future!

Friendly and fast

This was my 2nd time going there to purchase items and I will not be back. The first visit was pleasant it was the 2nd visit that made my mind up. I returned with an issue and to purchase more product. I truly had hopes that my issue would be resolved..I spoke to not one but two! Ppl about my issue. Not only was my issue not resolved in any way, But myself and my issue was dismissed! I work in customer service, so I was completely cought off guard that the first person dismissed it like they did. You at the bare minimum let the person know you hear what they are saying and you are an important client. I didnt even so much get that! I spend ALOT! Of money at these kinda of stores and I will just take my business somewhere else.

This is the best lumber store around. Russell helped me out building a fence for my backyard. Superior product, customer service, and on time delivery. You could not get this fine of lumber at a big box store let alone the outstanding customer service. If you are building something you want to be proud of, do yourself a favor and buy from Herman Lumber.

Super amazing service i went to ridout lumber first and the guy was rude and took my number and said he will get to my request in a few hours as he was to busy to help me with my request of finding some log siding right now... and i explained to him that i needed this ordered asap... and he said he would be calling me in a hour or maybe a couple hours... needless to say he never called me and i looked up speacial lumber and herrman lumber came up so i went there and they where super amazing!!!! My new lumber store for sure... and ridout lost a 1000$ sale and any future business from me....
