Come here if only to check out the incredible artistic work of the Russian nesting dolls and Ukrainian wooden eggs. This could easily be a museum or art gallery if they added some info about the work.The person working seemed pretty absorbed in her work although we were the only ones in the store at the time.

Very nice lady running this shop. LOTS of authentic Made in Russia matryoshka dolls of all varieties and many other very cool, very neat Eastern European knick-knacks, Christmas ornaments, and the like. Very cool place.Also, not very expensive either. :) Highly recommend. :)

The House Of Russia in Junea Alaska has many Cultrual otems i bought these items on my Travels there in August 2020.

My young boys have been fascinated by these Russian stacking dolls for sometime. They were so excited when we ventured downtown to pick one and of course wanted to touch everything in the shop. Looking through the display glass they exclaimed how some were as small as ants! We moved towards the more accessible pieces, and I was grateful for an encouraging store keeper kindly expressing how to use gentle hands as I began to feel overwhelmed. My two year old really responded to the instruction and we found the perfect Matryoshka doll that I am sure we will enjoy for years to come. They each picked a special gift for their cousins for under $10 each. Very pleased.
