Friendly staff. Competitive prices on tires and services. Sometimes difficult to get an appointment. Located near shopping and restaurants so you can drop off the vehicle and go for a walk. The marsh area has a lot of birds to photograph while you wait if youre interested.

Not a good experience. We had an appointment for today and our car would not start and we could not get it in at the scheduled time. We called and they told us to just bring it by later and drop it off. When they did they said they would not service the car and that things had changed. Looks like all the bad reviews were correct.

Had a small tire emergency this morning that they couldnt take of quickly but they did jack up my car and remove the wheel/tire so I could drive over to my dealer (in Waipahu) to have it taken care of. They then put the tire back on for me all at no charge.Thats great neighborhood service. Appreciate the Aloha!

I got a flat tire the other day, and I was nervous about driving too much further on the tiny spare.  Caden was very friendly and welcoming.  Ian is amazing.  He went above and beyond to make sure I was back on the road safely.  The electricity went out in Kailua, and Ian brought out the hand tools and jack to get the job finished.  Nothing was going to stop him from getting the job done right.  From the outset, he treated me respectfully and professionally.  I wasnt just a number on a work order; I was a person.  Ian was going to do his best to help a live customer.

I had a tire that was losing tire pressure and while the folks at Firestone were booked, they accommodated me and fixed my tire by staying open late until my tire was repaired. Kudos to Bobby and the staff at Firestone in Kailua! You are greatly appreciated!!

Went to Firestone for an oil change. I made an appointment online. When I got there the employee asked why I was there and I told him. He then said that their website wasnt working as far as taking appointments. I asked if I could still get in and he said I had to leave my car all day. Sure enough they called me to pick up my car at the very end of day. I told him they should fix their website. Another customer said its been that way for years.

My car was vandalized while under their care and they flat out told me it wasnt their problem. In addition to the almost $400 in repairs that came out of my pocket one of their employees stole all the change out of my center console. It wasnt just a few dimes and nickeles either, it was $30-$40 worth as well as everything else inside my center console with the exception of a picture of a friend and my safety check form. They dont have any kind of security either. Do not recommend their services at all. To continue this the manager from this location just contacted me and accused me of needing money and that was the motivation behind me reporting these problems. This is absolutely unacceptable and extremely unprofessional.

Went there to get my fuel pump fixed on Tuesday 8/13. Left with them early in the morning for diagnostics got back to me very quick and I had my car a little after noon. Great, standard pricing. My issue is that whoever parked my car, put on the parking break and didn’t mention it. It’s a flat parking lot, I’ve never had to use it because I don’t park on a hill. I’ve never had experience with a mechanic using it before unless it was a manual. They took it back next day no charge to figure out why my dash break light was on. Great, but when they called to tell me I drove a day with a parking break on, and I explained I never touch it in that car he spoke to me very condescending like I had no idea what a parking break was. Laughed and kept saying the same things but I kept telling him I never touched it. He finally explained that whoever parked it put it on for safety. Okay fine, that was all that needed to be said and I did not need to be spoken to like I didn’t know what a parking break was. Great price, fast service, but shouldn’t be talking to customers in a condescending tone when it was your techs that forgot to mention that you put on parking breaks in all cars to park.

Awesome! Truthful, reliable service. I highly recommend Kailua Firestone on Hamakua. My car was shaking when reaching 25 mph. They could have told me it was anything...but they didnt embellish the problem. It was a straight up tire balancing. I truly appreciate the honesty and the service!

Super friendly staff and timely repairs! I think their auto service is great and they really do a good job with evaluating what the car issue is. The only downside is that it can be pricey for certain services, but they are extremely fair in pricing for most of their work. I recommend scheduling vehicle inspections because those get booked out weeks in advance.

They were awesome. There was even a blackout on they day I went but that didnt stop the quality of service I received. Managed to get me in the next day because I had a leak in my tire. I will definitely be going back to them.

Went in on New years day needing new tires& and oil change. Customer service from Marc was excellent, he was very kind, helpful and honest. They fit me in and gave me a great deal on 4 new tires. Its a very rare occasion at a mechanic when the total cost is LESS than expected. I was very pleased and left feeling very satisfied with the care they provided.

This is quality customer service. Thanks Robby for making things right. Upfront I went in for wheels and tires (tire rack purchase) to be mounted and installed, things went wrong but when I calmly described my issues Robby was quick to acknowledge and rectify the situation. Obviously 4 stars implies no issues, but sometimes things go wrong. I gave them the high rating for problem solving and keeping me happy. This shop is easy to schedule and work with. I will be back.

I have to say, all the guys and gals at Firestone including the service is outstanding, seriously excellent no matter what problems you may be facing with your vehicle. Completely professional and friendly well trained staff. The pricing is not out of this world too like some companies out there and they throw in many free extras like free brake and fluid checks...brilliant! Bravo Firestone!! I highly recommend Firestone Auto care in Kailua.

Service Awesome! Tires Great! Took awhile, which I knew, spent time at a bar nearby.Time flew, Chardonnay was delish, Beautiful, cordial bartendress, mellow place to cruise. I think its Boardriders Bar & Grill. Too bad they dont have Happy Hour...its all G, glass was $6.

Booked an appointment days in advance for 7am oil change and was told it would take an hour. I arrived at 7am but had to wait in line for nearly 30 minutes to get checked in. I was then told it would be done by 9am. Three (3) hours after dropping the car it was done. The reason I booked early was so it would not interfere with my work day. They need to be honest with their customers regarding the time it takes.

Dissatisfied, made an appointment on Friday. Takes me an hour to get there. They called 10 minutes before my appointment, said they only had three of the four tires to be replaced. Very rude and condensesing. Told me to just come back on Monday. Wasted $20 of gas and three hours of time. On Monday, called before leaving and again was rude. Just come I was told. Getting there, I was told to wait until until he finished his paperwork. Installation took longer than expected. Poor rude service, overcharged on bill. I have a Firestone card and am going to reconsider its use again

It saddens me that I initially relied my familys safety on the mechanics findings. Thankfully we took our car elsewhere to double check it because it just wasnt feeling right that they said my back brakes are ok and the sound it was making was not a problem. I thank the Lord that nothing major happened to us because I use this vehicle everyday for my little infant and toddler. I hope the mechanic who worked on my vehicle doesnt continue his careless performance. its peoples safety and lives and we trusted your business to bring our vehicle to. The Other mechanic stated that the brake pads and rotors needed to be changed.The front desk and customer service guys are awesome though.

I always bring our cars at Firestone in Kailua, theyr customer service is awesome, they are good explaining what is wrong and they are really honest. Another car service place asked me $270 just to run a diagnostic for a engine light check, Firestone offer the same service for less than half the price, and fixed the problem very well. I will definitely continue to use their services.

Firestone went above and beyond my expectations. Though the part I needed cost more than the initial quote they did not charge me more. They were true to my original quote. In addition, because it was the holiday and they could not fix my car in the time they specified they put me in a rental car for free.Firestone definitely is about integrity and treating customers right. I had an appointment for 3pm on a Saturday for safety inspection on my truck. I brought my truck in at 2:45 and they told me it will take about an hour. I walked around target for a bit and when I came back at 4pm they looked at me with surprise. They totally forgot about me. They hadnt looked at my truck at all. How do you forget about someone that has a damn appointment. Seriously. Maybe they just had a bad day. Try harder next time Firestone! Damn it.

I had just put a new thermostat in my truck because of a coolant leak but there was still a small leak somewhere else I could not find. I took it here to see if they could find it. They told me it was the radiator and that it would cost around $2000 to replace. I had already had the radiator checked and knew that was not the problem. They also told me I needed a new thermostat, which I had just put in 2 hours before... they still got $90 out of me just to look at it. Go somewhere else.

I cannot believe their is only a 2.8 average rating. Every visit ( and I’ve been here for every oil change, tire repair, blinker replacement or other issue), the team at Firestone Kailua are the most honest group of people I could have ever hoped to find to care for my car.Other service stations I’ve been to in the past won’t let you walk out from an oil change without feeding you a story about how you’ll be stranded on the side of the road in the next week if you don’t let them fix the next $3000 in fluid changes or other measures.At Kailua firestone, I have NEVER felt taken advantage of, I have NEVER felt lied to, and I have Leave feeling like they should have charged me more than they did.Also, I do not feel the wait times are any longer than other service stations on the island or elsewhere.When I arrived in Hawaii, I wanted a place to take my car that I could trust. Firestone Kailua is it!

Took my 2001 lexus in for an oil change and to have the ac recharged it just wasnt as cold as it used to be, go to pick it up they say the compressor was leaking,he said they had to add some refrigerant to test the system,i paid my diag fee and oil change left with my paperwork and estimate, i did not look at it yet i left there is NO cool air coming out of the system, 2 hrs ago it needed a recharge,now there estimate is 3000.00 i guess if you replace every part your bound to get it rite the days of mechanics actually being able to fix something are long gone, now they are just parts replacers i was in the motorcycle business for 36 years,ive watched this issue slowly evolve, send them to a school for 6 months then let them loose. i am so unhappy that i now have to deal with this not happy not happy

I always use costume because its nationwide and they keep it in the system to pull up anywhere. Plus they are efficient and reasonably priced.We brought our car here 3 times, cuz having one bad experience can happen. We scheduled oil changes twice and both times they forgot about it. We dropped it off in the morning, so they didnt have to rush, the first time. They said about an hour. We called around 3 pm, and they said they hadnt done it yet. We had plans on the other side of the island for the evening and were going to pick it up before we left. It wasnt done, and we couldnt leave it overnight, so we had to wait on them to finish.Next time we didnt do the leisure thing. They said an hour or two, four later may starting cuz we called to pick it up.Safety inspection: my windshield wipers failed it. They didnt explain it was something specific to minis so the sellers themselves worked fine. They also didnt explain that I could do the repairs and get it re-inspected for free within X days. An error was also displayed that I had to fix. I got in my wipers worked, so I fixed the error and took it somewhere else.They explained they system error and told me I could fix it send bring it back for the free re-inspectionBasically, dont use them. Go to the one on the Marine Corp base!

Waste of time! I Made an appointment to do a alignment and when I showed up I wasnt even in the system..I called a couple days in advance to ensure Id get in but that was a big fail! And to top it off the guy who scheduled my appointment was the MANAGER! This makes me regret paying for a lifetime alignment for this kind of customer service. If I lived in town this wouldnt be such a big deal but having to travel 50 miles into town to find this out I wasnt scheduled is why Im giving a bad review if I could give no stars I would. But on the brighter side I called lex brodies and got an appointment in 20 mins..lex brodies>firestone..

I go here either way, i am waiting awhile now with an almost flat tire that is newly put on by firestone 2 days ago, i thought they would fix it right away, but nothing yet for20 minutes and still waiting here
