Trevor was absolutely amazing! He was so informative and you can tell he loves what he does. He spoke to my 7 year old daughter like she was a person and not a child. He explained everything to her and let her know she was in charge and no one else. She was so happy with the result and she asked both guys lots of questions and they were both so wonderful with her. There is a wait yes, please understand that every place of business is short staffed right now, it is NOT the employees fault that there is a wait. I highly recommend for any piercing / jewelry needs!

I have a 7 year old who wanted to have her ears pierced for her birthday. I called to make an appointment and they were very kind and professional on the phone. Then we got there and I was even more impressed. The owner and the gentleman that I spoke to on the phone were both there. My daughter picked out her earrings. They were very aware of my daughters space and constantly told her that she was in charge. If she did not want to get her ears pierced, they would stop right away. They spoke to her about every step, told her every time they were coming near to touch her ear. All the power was given to her and it was impressive and amazing to watch. Her ears were pierced at the same time with only a few crocodile tears. Clear instructions were given to keep it clean and explanations as to why. This is the place to go for any piercing you need for kids and/or adults. I got my ear pierced too, while we were there.

Extremely professional. Incredibly informative. You can tell they clearly know how to deal with timid/scared kids when it comes time to get pierced. Very happy with the outcome.

I called to inquire about a dermal removal and the man that answered the phone refused to even tell me if they in fact remove dermals. He seemed really annoyed by my question he insisted I needed to come into the shop before he told me anything further. Such a weird encounter. I don’t feel comfortable coming to get a piercing or a removal by someone that lacks common customer service techniques.

Dont waste your money. Bought a nose stud and less than 12 hours it fell out. Wasnt messed with or caught on anything and almost went down the drain. Called to get my money back and the guy kept going on and on about how other people dont have issues or sometimes itll pop out if it gets caught on anything (told him it didnt). I said it wasnt worth getting it put back in if it could fall out so easily again and potentially lose over $150. When I said I would rather get my money back, he then mentioned that all sales are final. Would have been nice to know before I purchased the high quality jewelry.

Trevor at the front desk was very helpful and gave good information. However, the piercer made me feel uncomfortable. Sharing comments about past customers, saying how one woman left a negative review accusing him of his harassment. His response to this was “she wasn’t my type… if I think you’re cute I will tell you you’re cute… you’ll still get cancelled either way these days” truly unacceptable !! I have heard from many friends and coworkers about the harassment they display there and the many counts of women who have expressed feeling uncomfortable . Definitely won’t be coming back, very strange experience. Z

Absolutely ZERO customer service. The two men working there are rude and totally unpleasant people. Literally, two of the most pretentious people I have come across. I can’t believe how important they thought they were! Bring back the females who used to rock this business! Until then, will never recommend Kitten Flower to anyone ever again and I am very sorry I ever did. Great jewelry but it stops there. The holier than thou pretentiousness attitude, not acceptable. Came for a birthday piercing for my child. On the website it clearly says able to accommodate drop ins. We were told that, no drop ins for 8 and under (opposite of what it says on the website) and then that we can only make an appointment the week of the appointment but not on the same day. Also that there would be no swimming or baths for 6 months. It was very obvious that they do not want our business. Therefore we will be looking at another professional piercing parlor.

Great quality nose rings, and piercing experience. My experiences there have been overall positive, so I was surprised when I called today to simply find out when was the least busy time to come in for a jewelry change and the person on the phone was quite rude. After not giving an indication of what time would be least busy, said “I’m actually trying to help customers right now while I’m talking to you.” I’ve been a customer for two years, but found another shop to visit this weekend (Decorum GR and they are woman owned at that!) and will be supporting other piercing businesses from now on.Seems like from all the other reviews, there’s always an excuse but this is clearly a pattern.

That however is not what would keep me from coming back. The piercer Zach was honestly so pretentious it was uncomfortable. He was rude and seemed to just want to complain about his other customers. He did not make me feel welcome or like he valued my business. He seemed like he hated piercing all day and that he was annoyed everyone wants the same piercing.From other reviews I have read it seems I am not the only one who has felt this way about him.

I have had good experiences at Kitten Flower, but I would like to ask why you dont offer appointments, especially during COVID? It can end up taking a couple hours to wait for a piercer to be available, and then get your piercings or services. That makes it really tough to find the time to come here. It also just makes the experience less pleasant overall when you have to wait on the street for a while before entering the shop. Obviously use whatever model you think works best for your business, but I would personally be much more likely to come back if I could save myself time by making an appointment!

Got a piercing done while the Zack was telling me a story about how this woman “claimed” he was harassing her etc- not a great way to make your clients feel safe. I was also told “don’t cry to me- go cry to him” (trevor) when i said i was feeling a bit anxious. Zack was quite rude to me the only kind person was Trevor who took my payment and made me feel a bit better. Today drove an hour back to the shop to change my jewelry because there’s nowhere else- and it’s closed! Nothing posted anywhere stating they’d be closed, open normal hours starting tuesday. A rather disappointing experience overall. If you’re not open update your hours- been here for over an hour and nothing. Don’t waste your money

I was not unruly or loud, and I certainly did not interrupt your customer, saying until after she had already selected before asking you questions regarding a the gift of a chain for my partner. Im clearly not the only person with complaints concerning you demeanor. Furthermore, I would expect many similar reviews in the future if you retain your current attitude. P.S. My previous review was removed, probably due to the continued negativity regarding the gentleman at the counter. While they had great selection and the piercing artist was nice. The gentleman at the counter, and his continually pessimistic attitude towards both customers and his job as a whole ensures I never visit this location again. I cannot stress enough the degrees to which I do not reccome this business, in spite of the lack of non-piercing gun shops in the area.

Do not get pierced here. I got a nostril piercing in July 2020 and it is still not healed. It has been continuously infected for months because of lack of cleaning since they tell you to NOT clean it and let it heal “naturally” (run under water in the shower is the most they say to do). I followed their instructions and it became infected from not being cleaned and the infection hasn’t cleared up in MONTHS even after getting doctor prescribed antibiotics. The worst part is that I can’t even take it out until the infection is cleared up and it’s looks horrible. It’s red with a bump and it was pierced way too low on my nose even though I specifically mentioned to my piercer that I was planning to change to a hoop as soon as it healed.

I was looking for an APP certified place to get pierced and this was the only one doing the piercing I wanted (septum). I was a little nervous based on the reviews but the guy was awesome and super nice! Going in I had no idea I could do a custom piece which is super awesome! I got teal opal balls and the loop a bronze color. They do the customizations on the spot. The piece I got was implant grade titanium.Highly recommend and will be going back for any other piercings!

Although I had positive experiences at KFB for my tattoo three years ago, the piercing experience was very different and one I can not recommend. My daughter decided to get an inner ear conch piercing for her 17th birthday. The man at the front desk was kind and helpful and patient, did a nice job with customer service despite being busy and juggling additional work due to Covid responsibilities. When it was time to get pierced, the piercer did not explain what he was going to do and seemed annoyed at questions. I was willing to chalk this up to a busy day or a bad day and ultimately my daughter was happy with her piercing.Today (two weeks later) we had to go back due to some problems with the healing process of the ear. We weren’t too worried or concerned, figured it was just some normal complication. The piercer (same man) literally did not explain at all what he was about to do other than a very muffled “this is going to hurt but I’m going to be quick”. My daughter handled it like a champ as he had to remove the bar and replace it with a longer one but when I had the audacity to ask if we needed to see her PCP or if this was in the range of normal complications that they see, he rudely replied that the reason he wasn’t giving us any information is because there is no information to give and he would stand here saying no no no to everything we asked and that was pointless. I am a nurse and it would be unprofessional and unconscionable to treat a patient like that and not give them the basic information about their situation, even if I’ve seen it a hundred times and it is no big deal. One simple statement prior to the procedure saying “it doesn’t look infected, I’m not worried about it; this happens frequently but I am going to remove the bar and replace it to help with the healing process” is ALL that needed to happen. You can’t make customers feel stupid or like they are wasting your time by asking valid questions. This experience will lead us to other piercing shops in the future and unless a change occurs I cannot recommend that friends use this shop.

Wow! I had a terrible experience with this place without ever stepping in the door! The person I spoke with on the phone several times is misleading and rude. I originally called bc my daughter wants her ears pierced for her 5th bday. The first phone call he explained we should wait 4-6 months to allow her to go swimming or any sort, and suggested even a year would be more appropriate. (My friend even joked well if you get her ears pierced she will never be able to go swimming again). Ok that’s their policy and precautions... fine. So I called back to schedule an appointment and asked when they have availability. He said they have availability from 5-8 so I said 5 would be perfect thank you. Well when that day came and we were on our way we hit a detour bc they are on the main Kzoo mall road- he has given no indication their road would be closed (which I thought would have just been courteous). So I call and say we are running late for our appointment and he suggests a parking option at that point. Well my 5 year old and I make it to the front door which is locked and has a note saying they’ll come let us in when they can. While waiting outside we met another family who had a similar experience expect they told me it was first come first serve no appointments. The guy on the phone NEVER told me that!! I can see looking back he meant 5-8 walk ins? But still why didn’t he explain that? I literally said I wanted to set up an appointment. When I called to say I was running late for the appointment he didn’t correct me. We waited outside for about 25 minutes which being locked outside a front door is VERY unwelcoming and I feel like we are past that with covid precautions, Geesh. We left when we found out it from another customer it was first come first serve. I had red flags from the first phone call, but ignored it. What an awful experience... will be going elsewhere.

The man was super nice, he made me feel calm. And he told me I was the big boss, I got a septum piercing and I thought it would hurt. He made it go quick and easy I recommend him. Trever was the nice man. I for sure felt welcomed, he explained a lot about the jewelry and how it works.

The staff did their best to move things along quickly, even though there were only two people working when I was there. The staff member doing piercings (Zack) was super personable and easy to talk to. He also made me feel well-prepared to care for my piercing at home. The staff member working the register (Trevor) was neither friendly nor welcoming, although he was probably stressed from running a business under pandemic limitations. Overall, my experience was average. I don’t think I’ll come back simply due to the mediocre customer service. They have a beautiful jewelry selection though, and my piercing looks great!

We called to make two piercing appointments. The man that took our call was really rude, and kept cutting us off. We ended up going to art and soul instead, and had a much better experience.

I just got my nose pierced for the first time a little after 2 today and the guy that did my nose was very safe i had to take my mask off and he kept his on and put on goggles and he sanitized the bed after my sister got done and i would recommend going here it is AMAZING

I took my 9 year old here to get her ears pierced as a birthday present. The entire experience was top notch. Right now due to COVID, they are limiting how many people can be in the shop at once, so we had to wait a bit outside before being let inside. I actually appreciated this! Thank you to KFB for being contentious about COVID. Once inside, Trevor and Zack were kind and knowledgeable. They let my daughter know that she was the boss and that nothing would happen that day without her knowing and understanding exactly what was going on. They explained every step to her in detail and told her she could stop right up to the last second if she wanted. She went through with it and told me that it was just like they said it would be in terms of how it felt. Plus, I LOVED the type of earrings that they put in. Maybe Im showing my age, but I remember these long posts with sharp point and regular earring backs when I got my ears pierced. KFB has this great earrings that arent pointy on the back. They are flat and smooth. Then, the fancy portion (for my daughter a pink circle) is screwed into the front. So, no pointy backs poking you while you sleep. You can go back to KFB and get different fronts for them. Additionally, the shop was clean and neat. All of the items used were clean and sterilized. I also witnessed them cleaning the counters, pens, etc... after each group of customers. I would recommend this shop to any mom looking to get their childrens ears pierced.

My daughter said her pain was very minimal and we so appreciated that two artists pierced her ears at the same time. I would absolutely recommend this establishment for their impeccable service! I have never reviewed a place that I have not set foot inside of, but in this instance I feelcompelled. I am planning to get my first piercing soon and have a lot of questions. I called and spoke with someone over the phone (who I believe was a male). He interrupted me and talked over me during every question I was asking. He also seemed very condescending about my questions. I definitely cannot trust getting pierced at a shop that did not care to make me feel comfortable by respectfully answering my questions.

Brought my 5 year old in for her first ear lobe piercing. The staff was kind, knowledgeable and made the experience great for her. I love that two people were able to do her ears simultaneously. I highly recommend this boutique.

I got my upper helix ear piercing in January. Though very costly (because of the jewelry apparently), I was happy with it. When the lock-down happened, it began giving me troubles. It always had a piercing bump and always angry and swollen. It got so bad that in September I went in to Kitty Boutique for some answers. After a VERY painful post change (that costed me) to a longer one, it finally started to heal.I went to another piercing shop in Kalamazoo to get another helix and explained what happened. They told me that my piercing gave me troubles and wasnt healing correctly because they pierced me with a post that was way too short, there was no room to swell. We were both super frustrated. What also makes me upset is that Kitten Boutique also charged me for a new post when this was their mistake.In the end, I will not be returning to this piercing shop, even if my piercing continues to give me troubles, the place in Kalamazoo said theyll take care of it from now on. Please be cautious if getting helix piercings and make sure the post is long enough for room to swell. They also have very limited staff at Kitten Flower, wait lines are long.

I brought my 13 year old in for a nose piercing. They walked her through it every step and made sure she was comfortable. It was very clean and professional. The lady that worked with us was amazing. The only downside is, its a bit pricey. I dont mind paying for quality though. The service was so good, i got my nose done too!

We had a great experience today with the ladies at kitten Flower. My 7 yr old came in for lobe piercings and they were calm and thorough with her. Michelle explained everything and having 2 piercers made it very quick. As others have mentioned the jewelry can be pricey but for the quality, you get what you pay for. Would happily recommend them to others!

Had a great experience here. My 7 year old got her ears pierced for Christmas. They were so friendly, talked her through the whole process. I made an appointment over the phone because she was under 8. It was pricey however you get what you pay for. They explaines to both of us how to take care of them. I will be coming here for my other daughters that was to have there ears do too. I recommend them👍

As someone who frequents piercing shops and interacts with piercers regularly, I would, without a doubt, say that Zack, the owner of the boutique and the individual who pierced me, is one of the rudest people I have met. I had a group of three people, including me; we were all getting different piercings, some getting multiple.Whilst browsing jewelry for the piercings, I was about to get Zack comes out from the back of the boutique and starts ranting on about how all his college customers are the same and that “he’s seen it all” in his “years of experience piercing.” He then mocks a friend of mine after she had said she felt empowered after getting pierced.The experience does not end here.Due to COVID restrictions, only five customers are allowed in the shop at a time, and there were already 4 of us in the store. Neither Zack nor Trevor (who was quite nice) locked the door after we had entered the store, meaning anyone could walk in. It was about an hour before the boutique closed, and my friends and I were just starting to be pierced. Two customers walk in, increasing the number of customers in the store to 6. Instead of simply asking the individuals to leave due to violation of COVID policies, they hand them their piercing waivers. Irresponsible on the businesses part and dangerous to the rest of the public.Furthermore, I had gone to this location to get my daith, upper lobes, and nostril pierced. My lobes and nostril piercing went well; however, I can’t say the same for my daith. Firstly, when I initially arrived at the store, Zack had told me he hadn’t done a single daith piercing today and that I would be his first one. I jokingly told him, “I trust you,” to which he laughed at. Skip forward to me on the piercing table, bleeding profusely from my daith from a mispuncture. Zack then blamed the incorrect needle movement on the COVID protective gear (goggles, face mask, etc.) and then BLAMED ME.... he said I preemptively breathed, which rushed him to pierce me. Irresponsible and rushed work, you have the needle, you decide to pierce me. He seemed rushed and annoyed throughout the whole process.I spent a decent amount of money here; thankfully, most of it was for the jewelry, which is the only reason this review isn’t one star. The jewelry is very nice; just get it installed somewhere else with less arrogant piercers.I would not recommend this business to anyone and will not be returning.

Super friendly staff, helped calm me down immensely for my first piercing, and they took the Covid-19 precautions very seriously which made me feel safe and secure.

I wasnt sure what to expect but decided to give it a shot because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews. The shop was clean, the employees were super helpful, and the piercer walked me step by step what she was doing as she was doing it. For just over $100 I got my new piercing, jewelry, and another piercing swapped out. 10/10 will return again.

I visited KFB a little over a month ago to get some additional information on a septum piercing that I had been lusting after. The store was absolutely spotless and I was greeted and offered help right away. I feel so bad for not remembering her name, but the girl at the counter was insanely knowledgeable and personable. I appreciated the “no pressure” environment and I would say it’s quite the opposite. The piercer, Trevor, said something like “There’s nothing wrong with taking some time to think it over. Only do it when you’re ready”. I knew I was ready, but I think it was that comment that made me feel like this was the right place for me. I got lucky being there at an odd ball time, and was able to be pierced that day. The sterilization processes and procedures were impressive.Trevor reminded me that I was in charge of the situation and if I wanted to stop at any time, he would. I was relaxed, talked and coached through the whole procedure with some very effective breathing exercises. It was totally smooth sailing. Part of the reason I waited to post a review is because I wanted to include a little bit about the healing. This piercing has healed so well and has been comfortable since I left the shop that day, completely different from any piercing experience I’ve had before. I had a phenomenal experience and this will be the only place I will go or recommend for piercings. Thank you Kitten Flower Boutique!

This is the most professional and best place to go to get anything pierced. I recently got the upper part of my ear done and it was a great experience. The staff were all very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They were also very clean, and changed gloves multiple times, washed hands, sanitized the station etc. The piercing process itself was very smooth and surprisingly involved very little pain. I dont think anyone else could have done it better. Their pieces are very nicely made an Im going back to get more. My friend had a problem with her nose piece and they completely took care of it! Im definitely recommending this place to anyone looking to get a piercing!! :)

I had my daughters ears pierced here and it was a great experience. They were incredibly kind and informative. The piercings are healing excellently, she hasnt had any pain or issues and the jewelry we purchased was expensive, but really good quality.

This place was great! The piercing fee was a mediocre price but the studs were very expensive with the lowest priced stud being around $75. But the studs were made using medical grade metal making it very durable and it lasts for one hundred years. The staff was so sweet and kind and made it a great environment. I would go again!

With a competitive swimmer and it being summer in the Great Lakes state, this just isn’t possible for us. Wish we would have known this in advance or we wouldn’t have made the trip.

They did a fantastic job at piercing my nose! They use medical grade metals so you wont have an allergic reaction to the jewelry! I highly recommend this place. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Fantastic staff, comfortable surroundings. Had them re-gauge my ears there after work lifted their restrictions on piercings!! So happy with the high quality of the multiple piece I have picked up there. When it comes to tattoos or piercings, sometimes you plainly pay for what you get!!!! Shop local friends.

Courteous, professional, knowledgable, helpful, personable, and patient staff. Facilities are clean, well lit, comfortable couches, sterile percing room, and nice selection of jewelry. This would be a good place to go for children, or if you dont get piercings all the time. Finding parking is a little difficult downtown but the mall is such a nice walkable space, totally worth it!

Great place! The shop is very clean and has a wonderful atmosphere. The staff are super helpful and the piercer does an awesome job of helping you relax before piercing.

Skinny guy with the gauges 😉 was awesome! So great at what he does. I WILL NEVER go anywhere else for piercings. This place is clean, chill and professional. Prices are definitely reasonable for the quality of piercing you get. I paid around $110 for 2 lobe piercings and it was worth every penny. The jewelry quality was stellar. My piercing was so quick and painless. The girl at the counter was super nice and informative, she was the main reason I came back! To summarize, this is the cleanest, most professional, and safest place I will get piercings from. They take their profession seriously and that is very hard to find in KZOO. Go here!!!!

Wonderful staff with quality jewelry. As many others have said, the staff are well versed, easy to talk to, and make the entire experience great. I felt like a regular at my very first visit and I will certainly be returning in the future.

Went in just to see what they had for prices for my sisters naval piercing. We both left with our piercings. Their environment was welcoming and our Piercer Trevor was very informative and definitely recommend going to him.

Really put their customers at easy by walking them through the process(es) and keeping you distracted from any discomfort with polite chatter!!

Very professional and sanitary environment with incredible resources for aftercare. However, with the way the owner of this business spoke to my friends and me, I wonder how comfortable his female, queer, and POC employees feel around him. Truly offensive, completely unprofessional language. Although the job we came for was done and done well, I will not visit Kitten Flower anymore, due to the audacity of the owner to speak the way he did about those who are not white men such as himself.

Wonderful and knowledgeable staff! I work in the medical field so I am always hyper vigilant of cleanliness and sterility of tools used. I had two piercings done and they did an amazing job! I highly recommend them!

I went to get 2 piercings in my nose. They had a visitor who was doing the piercings that day. He was so busy talking about nothing to where he put one of my piercings in one side higher than the other. Trevor told him he recommend him do the piercing over. NO thank you. So i had to pay for a piece of jewelry to walk away without the piercing. At that time Trevor or the owner should have taken over but they didnt. I wasnt gone let someone who messed up once do it again this was my first time there. My last. Soo disappointing.
