Took my brand new car in for a oil change. First ever and they tell me my engine air filter and cabin filter needs to be replaced. No way in heck those need to be replaced at 7k miles. When I got home I checked them both and they looked new. Just trying to scam you, good thing my oil changes are free. Looks like they are trying to make up for that I guess.

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT take your Genesis vehicle to this dealership for service. They have absolutely no idea how to work on a Genesis, including properly processing the paperwork. Not only did they screw up my tires and alignment which I have been trying to fix for 2 1/2 months (the technician told me, “Sorry. I normally work on Subarus”), they can’t figure out how the complimentary maintenance program works and they try to make you pay. I had to take my Genesis to two other dealerships to get my problems solved and I had to get Genesis corporate involved. Stay away at all costs.

I had a great experience getting the car I wanted, at a price the I thought worked well for me. Phil, my sales agent worked with me to help get the style (model) and color I wished, and did it quickly and efficiently. The car was ready at our agreed time for pick up, clean and a full tank of gas. He followed up with calls on if I needed any help with all the different electronic gadgets on the car to make sure I was getting the full use of what I purchased. Ive leased several cars through MapleHill and have been very happy with their sales, follow up and service. Thats why I keep coming back.

Went to get my tires rotated. On my way back noticed a strange smell. Went back home and saw my engine was smoking. Popped the hood and noticed that the cap to my engine oil was missing and there was oil covering my engine. When we called they said no service people were available so we asked for a manager who they said was also not available so we talked with an assistant about the issue. We were told to set up a tow truck to get it back to maple hill because the car was unsafe to drive. This all happened from a simple tire change. They constantly make little mistakes in their service department but this is a relatively large mistake and they were very unapologetic about it. I no longer feel safe driving a car that has been serviced by them. Have never gone here and not had there be some sort of mistake, or problem with my car. Stay away.

When I was in to get my oil changed several weeks ago, my service writer took me to Matt Taylors office but since it was on a Tuesday he was off. Worst business experience of my life! If youre working-class or have a vintage Volvo, read this! I wish I could give negative stars. The key for my vintage Volvo station wagon was misplaced. This car was a birthday present for my daughter who is turning 16 in July. Her dream car is a vintage Volvo wagon, so I bought her one on my limited budget as a truck driver.I tried to have a key made locally (I live in Indiana) but Volvo has proprietary rights for key duplication - so I was forced to tow my car to the dealership just to have another key made. Kalamazoo was the closest Volvo dealership to me.I made an appointment and then rented a Uhaul trailer and towed the wagon to the lot myself. I dropped my car off in good faith that the dealership would provide the service that they promised. While on the lot, my car was vandalized and the battery was stolen. There were panhandlers on the lot when the car was dropped off, hitting me up for cash. No fence,, no security.. Sketch... First red flag.A few days later, when I was in CALIFORNIA on a run,, the service scheduler called and was very rude, told me that my car was hacked apart and that they wont service it. She said I needed to pick it up immediately.I said, slow down here and asked how much it would be to have the entire thing repaired. She said they refuse to work on junk and to come pick it up or it would be towed. Mind you, the car ran great before the key was misplaced. All I needed was a key made!I explained that Im an over the road truck driver and that Im gone for three weeks at a time in California and Arizona. I requested that they give me a little extra time to come pick it up.She said I could have some extra time and they would notify me if they were going to have it towed.I called earlier this week and let them know that I was sending up a tow truck to pick it up. Today when my tow truck driver arrived, they told the driver that they had already towed the car to impound. I was never notified! Totally blindsided! The balance for the towing/impound now exceeds the value of the car. Ive bled out thousands of dollars just to NOT get my key made!Ive spent/lost money on:Original Uhaul/fuel/time towing to KalamazooNew tow fee for the attempted pickup by the tow company I sent up todayImpound/tow fees for Maple Hills tow companyI never imagined that Id literally have a vehicle vandalized/stolen/disappear simply by trusting a supposedly reputable business to duplicate a key for me.They made it clear that they only want to service elite customers who own newer Volvos. They treated me like a piece of trash. If you own a newer Volvo, Im sure Maple Hill will be glad to overcharge you for service/parts. If youre working-class or have a vintage Volvo, assume the position. AVOID!

I experienced the single most unethical behavior from the people at Maple Hill that I have ever seen in my life. First they said they had the car I was looking for in stock and would have it there to pick up in three days. Then when I asked if they were simply going to provide Genesis my information to do a credit check they said yes it would only be pulled once at which time I agreed and put down a $2k down payment for the car. They then called and said the car they thought they had was not new and had 1000K miles on it. When I looked they had pulled 2 hard credit inquiries on my credit one by Maple Hill and Another by Genesis Finance of which I have had a current account with for 12 years as this was my 5th Genesis. Now they couldnt find the car anywhere so I worked directly with Genesis leaders to get what I wanted shipped only to find out Maple Hill wanted to run my credit 2 more times making it 4 Hard credit inquiries for a transaction with a company I have been with for more than a decade. The people I worked with were the epitome of the negative view people have of car sales people. Now I am getting the run around getting my refund. STEAR CLEAR FROM THESE PEOPLE

TL:DR -- Great customer service but prices arent competitive for certain issues.Customer service was excellent. They had a nice waiting room and were responsive when there was a price discrepancy between advertised prices and my receipt. They were able to fit in a recall on top of my oil change and investigated a leak in my tire free of charge.Unfortunately, their prices on tire replacement were FAR from competitive and they wanted to replace my tires at half tread (20k miles) instead of the 60k miles that my tires are rated for. I looked online and found far better deals while waiting for my work to be done. This isnt a fault against Maple Hill so much as it is just the way things go at dealerships. They were looking out for me this winter, but at a cost that made me feel like I was being up-sold unnecessarily. Same goes for my windshield wipers. Then wanted $750 for two problems that could be solved for nearly half that price.Ultimately great service, but browse before you buy.

I couldnt get the worry off my mind about driving all that way knowing that potentially dangerous defects had been identified for my car. So, I decided to pop in to the Service Department at Maple Hill to ask about the risks of driving home for the holidays. It was only 4 days before my travel departure. I was greeted at Maple Hill with friendliness, patience and understanding about my concerns. Despite how busy they were this close Christmas, the folks at Maple Hill pleasantly found a way to work my car into their schedule that same day. I was flabbergasted!!! Unfortunately the management of this dealership can not admit when they have done wrong and make it right to the customer.I traveled from out of state to purchase a car that I had ordered. Was told in advance what documents I would need that turned out to be incorrect. So on delivery day it couldnt be financed (0%) without a return trip home (1,300 miles).Since a return trip home would cost me $1,000 and not having the 0% financing even more I offered a compromise cash payment of $1,000 below the original price that the manager refused. I left without the car and without my down payment. It’s a matter of principle to me and that’s why I walked away from this dealership. Maple Hill Subaru has cost me $1,000 for the down payment and $1,000 for the trip to see them. Manager said he could not take a $500 loss on the car but I guess it’s ok for his customer to take a $2,000 loss on their misinformation. I went in for service on my 2009 Audi s5. I needed two control modules re-programmed. The service manager Linda Avery was the most disrespectful and impolite person I have ever dealt with in a service department. She argued with me that they would not perform the service I had scheduled with them before, and proceeded to talk down about my car telling me “the thing won’t start” after I explained the push to start button did not work and that’s what it was there for. My car also received a multi-point inspection that is clearly invalid saying the cabin air filter passes when it doesn’t even have one installed currently. Another issue with the inspection is I have a leaking front right shock and it says the suspension passes perfectly. Also Linda claimed that I needed to schedule an appointment for additional work to get my steering light to shut off. I ignored her claim and the light isn’t even on, and the function works perfectly. Lastly there was a note made that the customer didn’t want the car washed. I had never mentioned anything about the wash. Over all I am very disappointed at the pure disrespect I received from a “manager” and will be taking my future business to Lansing.

The total labor will be an hour and a half.Their billing was confusing as well. For some reason they charge me 30 minutes of labor for a future repair that will total an hour and a half. I’m guessing I will pay the other hour of labor once I pick the car up? Who knows.

Good, honest deal. The salesman, Phil Lawrence, was professional, not pushy, and very helpful. Great experience - will shop there again when ready for a new vehicle.

October of 2017 we brought my Hyundai Santa Fe in because the rear end was making a thumping/stuttering noise while turning, even on dry pavement. There was also a metallic popping noise when stopping, like a dented can. At the time it was intermittent. After receiving the car back, the tech notes showed “did not notice anything loose or abnormal under vehicle.” I received an oil change and a tire rotation and was sent on my way. The noise persisted and became more severe and more regular. We brought it back on August 6, 2018, with the same complaints. My husband rode with the tech, who heard the thumping and can popping noises. After keeping the car two days (no loaner offered), it was again returned with a $43 oil change and notes that said, “test drove vehicle unable to duplicate customer concern at this time note tires make a lot of road noise.” (Unable to duplicate? They heard it with my husband in the car!) I received a follow-up customer service call from Amy on August 8, the day after getting my car back, and I explained the situation to her and expressed frustration that after two days and a very audible problem that affected how the vehicle handles on corners, Maple Hill was unable to find a solution or offer suggestions. She transferred me to the service manager, Jeff, and I left a voicemail at 2:14 p.m.. I genuinely wanted to resolve this with the dealership and, most importantly, wanted feel that my car was in safe driving condition. Jeff never returned my call and Amy never called to check if the situation was resolved. Finally, after a month of not hearing back, yesterday we took the car to the Hyundai dealer that sold me the car, over an hour away. They apologized on behalf of Hyundai, did a thorough inspection, and diagnosed a severe problem with the rear coupler. The entire rear end needs to be rebuilt, which will be covered under Hyundais warranty. Also because of those problems, I prematurely need to purchase new tires – the rear tires are now badly cupped and worn on the inside rims, with photos to prove it. Thats an unexpected expense. Maple Hill never mentioned problems with the tires. Even though it’s inconvenient to drive that far, we will stick with the other dealership and will not use Maple Hill again.

I have a 2015 Volvo S60 I got used in GR about 8 months ago. It was in fantastic shape, and ultra low miles. Since then Ive had to come to the dealership here twice for service. First was for transmission service to fix it not shifting back into gear from a stop properly. It was fixed about 99%. I can still tell it acting up just a tad every now and again. May be more to do with the technology than anything. This most recent trip to the dealership was for a fuel pump issue, about 5 weeks out of warranty for time, but still under 35,000 miles. With that low miles, and that close to the warranty, my thoughts are the very first words out of the service department should have been, were calling Volvo to have this covered... you should never have had a failure of this type with this few miles, and barely outside warranty. No one said anything. I had to ask that they contact Volvo for a good will repair. I got a call within maybe a couple of hours after dropping the car off that said they dont do that, I would need to contact them myself or google the form online. The online form clearly has info only the dealer could fill out, so I did end up calling Volvo myself, and leaving a note on their Instagram account I follow. I had someone fill out the form for me, but didnt get contacted until a week later, half hour after I picked up the car and paid the almost $600 repair. Volvo did say they would cover the repair, no questions asked, and agreed that I should not have had the issue at all. They are sending me a check for reimbursement. So, all in all, I got the repair done under warranty like it should have been, but I had to do the work myself to make that happen, and really, the dealership should be there to advocate on behalf of the clients and should have been the ones to do that work. Everyone at the dealership was super, super nice, so I cant fault them. They have always been nice and supportive, I just think they arent getting all the training they really should have and are probably overworked. Misty was so nice and told me absolutely dont give up on pursuing this with Volvo, but once Volvo looked at it, they didnt need any convincing at all. They were almost apologetic that the car even had any problems at all. I wish I could remember her co-workers name to give him proper credit as well. He and I got into a short discussion on the differences in the older versions of the car and newer ones with sensors that monitor everything except how many bugs have hit the windshield. He was extremely knowledgeable and it was a very pleasant conversation.

I have purchased two vehicles from Maple Hill Auto and am more than satisfied with the service. Dennis was able to set us up with an appointment to drive and then purchase our 2018 VW Passat during the COVID-19 restrictions. We were in and out with our car in no time. I recommend Dennis S. As a salesperson and Maple Hill Auto as a dealership.

My Husband and I worked with Ed over the last two weeks to buy our new (certified used) Subaru Forester, and he made the experience wonderful and personal! He knew my husband and I were looking for certain specs on a Subaru and Ed reached out to my husband the very night a new one had arrived on Maple Hills lot that he knew we would meet our needs and wants. He was very kind and fun to speak with and work with. Would give Ed and Maple Hill 10 stars, easily, if Google allowed!

I worked with Mike Davis to buy a used car.. he did an excellent job matching my needs to a vehicle. The finance and management team worked with me to get a good deal on the vehicle too. Mike went above and beyond to meet my needs and timeline for closing the deal. Highly recommend working with Mike if you are looking for a used car.

We had an insane incident with our 4 day old VW Passat as we were driving from Chicago to Detroit. We had to have it towed to the Auto Barn over 4th of July weekend since it was the closest dealership.Their VW advisor, Hannah, helped us to make a very stressful and crazy situation proceed smoothly. She was very responsive and worked with us to get our car back on the road.We really appreciate everything she did and are so thankful that she was there to help us.

Very professional and friendly service. I drove 86 miles out of my way due to their rating and a phone call to their service department. I have a Volkswagen GTI and had a transmission service done. My local VW dealership wanted over $500 more for the exact same service! Ive had some issues with the local shop too. It was well worth the drive for the great service. I will go there again.

The sales side of this transaction was top shelf. Phil was professional in all aspects. A true pleasure. Matt was prepared and the financial / paperwork flowed flawlessly. The only negative apsect of the entire deal was in regard to the vehicle preparation. The vehicles interior was not spotless (had a few dog hairs in the rear) and the tank was virtually empty. I expedited the delivery and will assume that was the reason. With all things being concidered it was a stress free purchasing experience.High recommendation!

I had purchased a used vehicle from Maple Hill Auto Group (sales team member Tim Born) and the check engine light came on a day later. Tim made sure that I was taken care of. Not only are they fixing the repairs for free but they also loaned me a vehicle so that I could get around while the work was being done. Thank you Tim and Maple Hill for being so reliable.

Service center did a great job. Had the brakes checked for replacing and it turns out it was just a rock stuck in the pad. But got it taken care of. Oil change too and the free car wash made this super convenient for me to get all taken care of. Major plus is the free multipoint inspection so everything is in good shape. Had a tail light replaced that i didn’t know about. And the shuttle service was fast and friendly so I wasn’t stuck in a waiting room all day. Excellent job on all parts. Would definitely recommend and will be returning for future work. Thanks everyone!

I do not recommend this dealership. I took my newly purchased used Subaru there for a couple open recalls to be fixed. They also offered a complimentary multi-point inspection and carwash. My wife is high risk for serious complications if she were to contract COVID-19 so we were hesitant to follow through with the appointment. Upon pulling inside the building, we witnessed several employees within feet of each other not wearing masks. We immediately refused their shuttle offer. It was 830am when we dropped our car off. Before leaving I asked an approximate time we might expect our vehicle to be ready and the receptionist told us around 2 pm and that they would call when it was finished. Being our only vehicle, we stayed in the area until about 2:20 pm when I called to ask about our car. I was told the technician would be finished with it in 30 minutes and that it would be ready by 3 pm. My wife and I waited around the outside of the dealership with no visual of our car until 3:40, I decided to enter the building and ask. Again, I witnessed several employees ignoring CDC guidelines. Annoyed and concerned by this, I was in a hurry to leave. As my wife waited outside for me, she saw the the valet maskless in not just other customers vehicles, but our own as well. After receiving my paperwork. I immediately pulled out of the building to get my wife. We then used our own Clorox wipes to disinfect the inside of our car realizing that the outside was filthy. They clearly didnt make time to wash it even though we watched several other vehicles exit washed. Once I took the time to review the paperwork, I noticed there was no multi-point inspection, just an invoice stating the fixed recalls, the car wash that didnt happen and a multi point inspection without results. I received several email requests for reviews of their service the next day and even a follow up phone call. The receptionist on the phone did not like what i had to say and argued that the carwash broke down. She then transferred me to a customer service representative named Cassandra who later returned my call. After several corresponding emails concerning the inspection report I referred to during our call, I finally received a fabricated inspection report stating my 10 year old used vehicle is in perfect condition. I know it to be false because I changed both the air filters after my inspection and they were disgusting. Not to mention my squealing brakes. I finally wrote an email to Jim, the owner with no response. I dont necessarily mind the fact that they neglected services we didnt pay for but dont tell me youre going to do something and not do it, especially in customer service. Dont say youre enforcing face masks and social distancing then blatantly disregard it in front of customers. Also, dont lie to try to cover it up like the broken carwash or mystery report. I do not recommend this place to any one, unless they like being treated as a fool.

I was happy with the original purchase of my Audi and like the car. However, the two return trips for service have been less than adequate...Trip 1: standard 5,000-10,000 mile maintenance. Had a scheduled appointment and took my daughter with me as I didnt expect a long wait. Arrived early and wound up leaving over 2.5 hours after the scheduled appointment.Trip 2: standard 15,000 mainetenance and I asked if they could repair a paint chip on the hood. They said that they couldnt, but that they could order some touch up paint. I agreed and asked for it to be shipped to my house since I live around an hour away. They said they could ship it and I confirmed my address. A couple of days later I receive a voicemail letting me know the paint has arrived and I can swing in to grab it. I decide rather than call to get it shipped like they were originally supposed to do that we will take a Saturday morning trip with the kids to grab it and get lunch while in Kalamazoo. I arrive to be informed that service is closed and not a single person can open the door to get the touch up paint. The less than helpful salesperson tells me, Im sure it is in there, but no one here can unlock the door.

Tim Born did a wonderful job making what was a painful experience so much better, and easier. I had totaled my big beautiful wheelchair van, which I no longer needed as my wife passed away 3 years ago. So not only was I saying goodbye to a trusted companion on my travels, but now I needed to navigate the waters of finding a replacement vehicle. Tim quickly showed me the two Subaru models that I thought would work, so I immediately knew which one to focus on. But I can tell you all that Subarus sell quickly! It took him a while to find one for me because their computer system couldnt keep up with how fast they left the lot! I couldnt be happier with the choice of dealership to buy from, and you wont find a more helpful, and honest, salesperson than Tim Born.
