Today my husband lucked out when he walked into the store and they had a used Xbox Series X available. He’s been on the hunt for one for so long. Between his GameStop pro membership perks and trading in both our Xbox One S and Xbox One X we didn’t have to pay a dime. We were able to get the 1 year warranty and still had two dollars and change in store credit. Renae was an absolute dream to work with, super knowledgeable, and made the process so smooth. If we had a say that girl would get a raise. You’ll be extra lucky if she’s working whenever you visit the store. Awesome experience. 10/10 ✨

My husband was able to get a refurbished 360 Xbox here and some decent used games. Cashiers were friendly and helpful with us, it was a good experience and an inexpensive one at that!

I had to run in and out very quickly on a very busy Friday in the middle of rush hour traffic and crowds. The large shopping center (Maple Hill Pavilion) that this location is in the center of was chaotic with too many cars circling aggressively for the closest parking space...I was dreading what it might be like in the store based on the unruly mood out in the parking lot. I am very pleased to say my concerns were baseless. I am the wife and mother of two hardcore gamers (eighteen years and counting). We are a multi-console, dual platform household and I have frequented a couple dozen Gamestops in seven states and ten cities. This location is clean, neat, organized, well-stocked-one of the best I have been inside. The sales associate was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, clearly a gamer with enthusiasm and a wide knowledge base. GameStop is a great place to go to because every employee I have had interactions with use and love the products they sell-I wish other retail stores were like this. I grabbed the PSN cash cards I needed and was back out in Apocalypse Parking Lot to fight my way home with all of the surly commuters in five minutes flat.In these times when retail shopping feels like NHL level hockey brawls, thank you, GameStop, for being an oasis of calm professionalism.I will be back.

This location always has what I am looking for. Over the years I have noticed GameStop has become more novelty oriented. Meaning selling more fluff them games. Which is fine I like my share of fluff but a lot of locations are selling more fluff then games. This location keeps it mostly to the games.

I love this store, the staff here are friendly and are very helpful answering my questions. I have bought many games new and used, plus have pre-ordered games and have never had a problem. I give these guys credit, its a small store and can get crowded but they are quick and efficient, if I buy from GameStop I always come to this location.

When pre-ordering a game, the cashier was SUPER nice. I was surprised cause all the ones Ive been to in Grand Rapids everyone seems like they want nothing to do with being there. Anyway, when I went to pick up said ordered game, different person and just as nice.

Just went here for the first time ever in my life and it was awesome! The lady was nice but I could tell she wouldve been allot nicer if we knew more about games, kindof scoffy and short, but the guys working there omg helpful! Telling me all about how the game system worked and the games and just any questions he was right there I will definitely be back because of him!

Not to pleased with GameStop over the years some how I keep giving them chance after chance hoping things will change with this company.. went in yesterday to buy 3 games and all 3 games are bogus scratched all to hell finger prints all over the games I mean come on learn how to take care of stuff...... sooo get home to play them and long be hold (after I spent $7.00 to get them cleaned and resurfaced) they won’t work says disc is dirty or scratched now I know it’s not my system because it’s brand new so it’s messed up games! Not only am I out of pocket from YOU guys selling me messed up games but I SHOULD NEVER had to clean them in the first place trust and believe I’m getting better copies or money back.... Not to mention half the games you sell I can get cheaper at Walmart or online in better condition

This place is great to purchase new and used games and consoles. However I do not recommend trading in/selling to these guys. they offer pennies on the dollar for games and consoles. I understand you need to make money but offering a 16th of the value on something is disrespectful.

Employee hands me new in box 3rd party option. I ask, Do you have any used ones? The clerk claimed that what I had was a used product. So I look for a minute longer, find a used original 1st party option for half the price. My new old cable works great. Happy I didnt blindly trust the clerk. 3/5 would return, wouldnt listen to employees.

Bought a digital copy of a game for a birthday gift. In order to play it they had to pay $3.59 for taxes. I feel they really dropped the ball on this one.

I took my boy there to get game. When I tried to check out, the nice case was swapped with a crappy one with a generic insert. They had at least 10 nice looking cases in the discount bin for that title but the store clerk informed me that it was like it or leave it. I left it and drove to 2nd Chance on Westnege in Kalamazoo. I got much better customer service there and I spent $2.00 less for the game with a nice looking case.

Absolutely terrible service.I asked when people would start lining up for the switch midnight release, and they said not until 11:00. Guess how happy I was to see people IN LINE BEFORE 11:00.

Went there and had a long line with 2 registers down. But the employees were hard at work to get us all through the line.

Lots of choices

So, I wanted a GameCube controller adapter from this GameStop and ended up with a horrible experience instead. The main issues with this store is lack of communication among employees. I called about a week ago to ask if they had the adapters and was told I needed to come in and pre-order said adapter. A few hours after that call I went to this GameStop to pre-order it and was told by an employee that they do not offer pre-orders for that product. I mentioned that I spoke with someone on the phone and was told to pre-order it but that employee told me whoever I talked to gave false information. He then told me to come back today, 12/21, to get the product. I went in today and was told that I needed to pre-order the product in order to get it. So you can imagine my frustration as I have been bounced around by 3 different employees with a few different lies, essentially. I really just wanted an adapter to play games with my siblings when I go visit them for the first time in a few months but I am instead very disappointed. I would take caution when pre-ordering anything from this store. Make sure you speak to a manager in regards to the product you would like.

Just left this GameStop only came here because the guys in portage didnt have the Xbox one I wanted so they directed me here. Also at portage I was selling an iPhone 5s in good condition needed to be charged. There the guy offered me 79 bucks. Okay so I asked would it be the same at this one on west main he replied yes should be now I understand its not going to be the same and when I arrived the young lady wearing glasses looks me up and ask I asked about the phone and say well first off I can only do credit ok I say how much she looks and 29 bucks with much disrespect I grab my phone back and purchased the Xbox. I dont see how the same business that goes by the same principles could ever be that far apart I did purchase that Xbox but will and would never step foot in this location again

This place is what you are looking for if you are a Gamer. good selection of used, and any new game youd want like any other GS, but the staff at this one are ALL well informed. usually at GS youll have 1 true gamer, maybe 2 if youre lucky, its usually kids just trying to make a buck. This place you can ask a question to almost any staff about a WIDE range of games and they have tips knowledge and opinions on an impressive amount of titles. i know im hyping it up a bit, but trust me ive been to about 40-50 GS across america from California to New York, and the staff at this one is in the top 5, anyways just thought id let anyone that was curious know how it is over there as of the posted date on this review.
