Boy this is a locals spot. Old building with done really old posters. Pretty cool. Front room has the boss and some locals. Nice greeting and friendly. Walk in humidor with a large selection but mostly non big brand cigars at low prices. Back room is large with 2 TVs and decent ventilation system. A bit old and run down but still worth the visit.

Every time I walk in the door and puts a smile on my face they are very friendly people and they take good care of all their customers!! 😘

Excellent cigar selection and very good prices. There is a small area in front to hang out while enjoying your favorite cigar and a large area in the back also. The owner is very knowledgeable on his products and makes you feel welcome.

If I had a second home this would be it! The Milne family are great people and always make you feel welcomed. The regulars always offer good conversation and love this place as much as the owners. The humidor is HUGE and the selection is unbeatable. Its one of Kalamazoos hidden gems. Whether youre new to cigars or a self proclaimed aficionado, this is the place to be.

Smokes is where Jesus would go to smoke a cigar. Its a working mans cigar shop. John, the owner, is a working man and he pretends to be nothing more. The humidor has the best selection of cigars this side of Nicaragua. He has cigars that range in age from the 90s to the newest and the latest. If you need help choosing, ask Dave. Hes the local cigar encyclopedia and can tell you what the priming is, what the wrapper, blend, and growing conditions were like on your birthday. Were pretty sure hes the love child of Nestor Miranda and Stephen Hawking. There are always regulars there to entertain. The lounge/museum is more educational than most museums. Theres nothing pretentious here, just a relaxing time with a bunch of good ol boys and great cigars.

I drive all the way from Lansing to visit Smokes On Burdick and have some buddies that we day trip to come see John and the treasure trove of a humidor John has compiled. I wish I could keep it hush, hush because well I dont want all the good stuff to get all pick up. John is a class act and willing to help if needed.

Youre full of hot air Johnny C., you know the owners are either waiting on their visas or are completely American by means other than birth. However, this fact does not change the other fact which is that they have worked harder for approximately 83 % less pay without a union, without a contract, without overtime, vacations, holiday pay, retirement plans or even social security. Sweat, broke their backs at times, for no seniority, workmans comp, breaks, lunches, dignity. All the while it was also unsanitary, unventilated, hotter than outside when outside is the far side of a desert. And they didnt know if they would have a job tomorrow. So DONT INSULT or DEGRADE their past or their ethnicity by lying about their names and supurtisiously making them out to be white all-American cool dudes in order to bring in the average mfer and (hopefully) gain one or two new customers.
